yeah and where did we get this skin from to begin with? Wasn't it Prime? Pretty lame if you ask me. We have only done what feels like 5-7 skins on prime gaming and were ALREADY onto duplicates? In a game where theres like zillions. At least give out one of those lame ones that are a base outfit but a different color. Anythings better than something we can't even use.
it was a past rift.

It should. Its litterly for that. But 5 seconds are not enough.
No it's not, it's there to discourage killers from trying to tunnel survivors (more so in the situations where the killer just stands there, waits for the unhook, then slaps the survivor back on the ground). It's not there to give you a free basement escape.

Now seems that people is gifting the codes yet BHVR doesnt want that.
Honestly, if they don't want that they shouldn't sit here and give us a cosmetic almost everyone playing at the time of the rift already has.

Make it not work with toolboxes
and make it not work if you aren't on the gen. Seriously, being able to sit next to someone on a solo gen and have the gen go by faster without you actually doing anything is also ridiculous.

Can't we be grateful for something?
Usually I'd agree with you, but as a player with amazon prime that also already owns the cosmetic, I feel like the devs just flipped me off and laughed in my face. From that sort of players side, it feels completely disrespectful to the community by reusing a cosmetic that many people already owns. It would be like taking a popular cosmetic that's in the shop and slapping it on amazon prime. It's bad and incredibly lazy.

@VikingDragonXii said:
No Amazon is just a bad company in general. But that's not a discussion for these forums unfortunately.
They will do what they want and not care what anyone says
You think Amazon is the one who came up with the idea of reusing an old cosmetic?

But that’s only if you already have prestiged everyone else 3 times which is gonna take a long while in this new system.
Technically you only need to reach Prestige 1 on everyone. I know people keep throwing out Prestige 3 because then the perk is at the highest tier, but it does kind of feel disingenuous when people say this. Like I would still have Dead Man's Switch (for example) unlocked on everyone regardless of if Deathsligner is Prestige 1, 2, or 3. Heck, if it appears in the Shrine of Secrets, Deathslinger could be Prestige 0 and I'd still have it unlocked on everyone.
-
It should be later today, but we'll have to wait and see
-
I've been trying to evenly level up my characters so my highest prestiges are all Prestige 10.
-
Piggy
-
I didn't get anything on any of my platforms.
-
Wait... 43? There's 38. ANYWAYS that's unimportant to what I'm going to say. I personally want them to do 2 things:
- Take away map offerings
- Rework map rotation so you can't go to the last 4 maps you went to (20 max in a lobby)
This keeps people from gaining an advantage because they paid for it and you don't go to the same map 700 times in a row. I personally would rather go to the same 5 maps then the same 1 map. At least then I get a bit of a break from a map and there's a mini rotation. I had a day a few weeks ago where the only time I wouldn't get Eyrie of Crows is if I offered a different map.
-
I really think if you start solving the box, any chains that are directed at you are destroyed. Then also make it so if you start solving the box you have to complete it unless interrupted by Pinhead. That way it can't be abused so you just solve a little bit to keep the chains off you and it doesn't make you want to rage quit over something basically luck based.

Otz tried it on stream open handed appeared to have very little or almost no affect. Its also in his <ptb play as and against wesker\theMastermind> when he loops around shack.
I wonder if it's bugged because Open Handed should be working with any aura reading that's ranged.
Also to OP: My friend doesn't want to play ptb anymore so I won't be able to test the Jolt thing unless I run across a Wesker with Jolt.

Yes

That's a very good question, I'll gladly test it later when my friend gets on and get you the answer if someone doesn't already know the answer.

Rin does have an outfit from the collection Greek and Legends? Really?
They're saying they aren't including licensed killers or killers that already have them.
Edit: and Trickster, but he has like half one. He has that cosmetic based on Eros/Cupid, but it wasn't Greek Legends.

I think Tier 65? Idk this is the fastest I've ever done the rift.

No it isnt. The RE3R "Classic" costume is in the game, but that's not the -actual- classic RE3 Jill. It's very different.
I still dont get what the point of Capcom adding a "Classic" outfit to the game was if it wasnt actually going to be the classic outfit. But RE3R in general made a lot of questionable changes from the original.
Uuuuuhhhhh, have we played the same og RE3? It's the SAME EXACT THING. What you want pixelated Jill in the game? That's the only difference I can find.

A bit silly to call that "less than 10 games", when Angrypug's has 9 games, and includes a 7 games loss streak...
Otz's is only 2 games because I counted the games as they were live, and I didn't know he would stop after only 2 (he switched to killer). It's rare enough to see Otz play solo.
Less than 10 games is less than 10 games. "It's a bit silly to call something less than 10 games when someone did less than 10 games". That's legit what you just told me.
Also so what.
If AngryPug played a 10th game and escaped, now all of a sudden instead of his escape rate being 22% it's now 30%. That's a big difference.

I think the roadmap is "tentatively speaking" as the devs put it in some of their other roadmap related material. So it can come earlier than September, but it could also come later than September. They also could push it to be a 3 week hiatus instead of the usual 2. It's happened at least twice before.
-
I think the answer is no because I'm pretty sure the actual tier is tied to the prestige. So if you bought Tier 2 Hex: Blood Favor from the shrine and then prestiged Blight to Prestige 2, Hex: Blood Favor wouldn't be Tier 3.
-
If it still acts as a stun this would be cool
-
With how basic the concept of dbd and how it works is, it's not surprise that killers fit under certain categories. I'd say the last time all the killers were truly unique and didn't step over each other was Chapter I: The Last Breathe Chapter which brought us Nurse. Chapter 2 brought us Michael and since Hillbilly existed, that's 2 instadown killers.

Self Care? Sure. DS? Sure. DH? HAHAHAHAHAHA no.

I think there's only so much we can tell by reading/hearing what a power does. We need to play it first.

Doesn't the Botany knowledge reduce charges only when healing yourself with a med kit? I can't remember.
The worst tome challenge that even harder now would be the get 4 or 5 pallet stuns in a single game. With even more range killers or how some work is almost no possible to pallet stun.
No it will always reduce charges

Is it true that Fog Whispers get no DC penalty? I am pretty sure I have seen Otz have to wait one out after a crash, and I would think he would be the most obvious steamer to get a pass on them since he is the FW with the largest following.

100 for both sides, it feels really sluggish when it's not that high

According to lore, Spirit does not interact with the Spirit World (which is odd because it feels like she would since she's called the Spirit). She interacts with a different sub realm called "The Ethereal Plane."
-
Was it ever confirmed a bug?
-
I don't understand why if they had a problem with Merciless Storm, why didn't they change Merciless Storm? Like if they had a problem with Gift of Pain they wouldn't buff Sloppy Butcher and nerf Dying Light, they'd nerf Gift of Pain. I get Merciless Storm and Pain Resonance was a combo, but if they just simply added "If the gen falls under 90% under any circumstances, Merciless Storm will deactivate," then boom. 1 perk had 1 slight change and the whole combo goes down without having the worry about a different combo.

Ok so indoor maps don't exist?
This doesn't mean anything. You still have room to move around them, or better yet, turn around. I play a fair amount of Nemesis and I'm telling you this is not an excuse.
-
Are we seriously sitting here comparing a survivor perk to a killer perk over a theme?
Regardless, I see your point about the kind of damage Eruption can do. I personally haven't had to much of an issue against people using it, but maybe that's just because the killers I see using it aren't really using it? Which is weird. I've only had a handful of Eruptions actually go off on a gen I was on and thankfully most of (not all) those times someone else was nearby who wasn't erupted and running towards the gen so we didn't end up losing too much progress.

@HugTheHag said:
I hadn't thought about it before, but do killers gain more points by hooking a survivor twice or is it pretty much the same as letting the survivor go from first to second hook ?
I often run Hex : Third Seal and a lot of survivors go on second hook from their teammates having forgotten where the hook is. (People talk a lot about Devour Hope and (old) Ruin as Hag's best perks, but Third Seal is utter chaos)
You get 500 points per hook. So if you camp the hook and get a 4k, you're walking away with 2k sacrifice points. If you get a 12 hook game, you're walking away with 6k sacrifice points (Plus stuff like the Caught! score event, Entity summoned stuff like that, but we're talking specifically in terms of hooking).
-
I'd report it as a bug
-
The only reason I think I'll play more is because there's an abundance of killers so I get into matches quicker as survivor and that's all I want, to be in a match.
-
@N8dog said:
- I got 36K as survivor
- How the hell is it possible for the killer to max out the sacrifice category?
The stars would have to perfectly align but it is possible to max out sacrifice. Although I think it's only possible with a mori.
If you bring a mori, hook the survivors 8 times, mori them, and at least 2 of those hooks happen during egc you get this:
Caught!: 200 points per survivor = 800 pts
Entity Summoned: 200 points per survivor = 800 pts
Hooked: 500 points per hook = 4,000 pts
Kill: 1,000 points per kill = 4,000 pts
Late Hook: 250 points per hook during egc = 500 pts
This comes up to a grand total of 10,100 pts

"people need to knock off the labeling the moment someone disagrees with you just to invalidate their opinion"
Ok? What's any of this got to do with me. I was specifically addressing actual killer mains, like OP (who described THEMSELF as a killer main), and telling them to stop telling survivors about survivor experiences.
Sorry someone invalidated your opinion but it wasn't me 🤷
I didn't make it very clear but I was just trying to add on to what you said. Like yeah killer mains shouldn't really have a say in survivor issues (like how survivors shouldn't have much say in killer issues) but as a community we also shouldn't just label someone as a killer or survivor main JUST because they have an opposing perception of what's been happening on that side.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
"I am a main killer so i will not lie, i might be kinda based"
Can killer mains stop giving their unwarranted opinions on an issue affecting SURVIVORS.
We're telling you solo queue is in a bad spot and you're responding with "Well actually as a killer here's all the reasons it's not."
Do you not realise how biased this is?
Although it's true that killer mains shouldn't be telling survivors about survivor experiences and what's actually ruining the game for them, I also think that people need to knock off the labeling the moment someone disagrees with you just to invalidate their opinion. Now I'm not saying this person did that because they did open up with admitting they're a killer main, however I've seen others, and even myself just the other day, get labeled as killer mains despite playing both sides fairly evenly (sometimes straight up survivor mains) JUST because we've had a different opinion on this patch.
I am personally Team "This Patch Isn't as Bad as People Say" and I've even been playing a TON of solo queue this patch. Yet, my opinion has been invalidated by others simply because my username and profile suggests killer main. (Which is ironic because the username actually comes from a survivor game I had but that's besides the point).

My perks weren’t changed at all and the game is worse.
Blaming everything on perks while hiding the fact that killers got a lot of basekit buffs isn’t very sincere.
Killers did get a lot of base kit buffs this is true. However all those changes do is end chases a little bit faster and make it a bad idea to gen tap. If the update was as bad as op makes it out to be, there's more to the story then simply a couple base kit buffs.

I’m sure you have killer main. Lol.
Labeling someone doesn't automatically make you right. I play both sides fairly equally and don't consider myself a main of either side. You know why this update hasn't been bad for me? Because I didn't cling to the meta ever prior to the update so my ability to play the game doesn't depend on 4 perks.
-
Eh, I've seen much much worse updates and I've been playing a lot of solo queue this update.

survivor meta is not playing the game and waiting for hotfix of this disastrous one-sided patch
It's only disastrous for those who depended on the meta. More specifically, survivors that depended on the meta (it's no secret this was a killer sided patch). As someone who only would use like max 1 or 2 meta perks before and the ones I'd use weren't touched, I'm not seeing any difference in my matches besides the gens taking slightly longer to do.
