I've noticed this on Playstation 5, I have 7 of the items and the first milestone is at 6, but it's still reading that I have 0 rewards unlocked.
Here's even a screenshot from in game, I count 6 just from what's showing but it didn't give me the reward.

Plague shouldn't be able to infect a survivor while they are on a hook. If the survivor managed to avoid getting infected during the chase then they just outplayed her. She shouldn't get rewarded for that. I also think unhooking an infected survivor shouldn't infect it you as you shouldn't be punished for doing what you have to do. (I just hate Plague honestly)
Distortion is one of the most unfun perks in the game. I don't think it's overpowered or anything I just don't like how a single perk can render multiple perks completely useless and I hate playing with teammates with it because it means that they probably are never going to be chased and the killer is more likely to involuntarily 'tunnel' because they can't locate the other survivor as easily. Same as when I'm playing killer, I don't like how it reduces the amount of survivors I interact with when I run aura perks because it's basically telling me to just keep going after the one guy without Distortion.
Distortion kills me as killer, I hate facing it so much and one of my friends refuses to take it off whenever we swf and I'm like ready to fly across the country just to take it off their build LMAO
Also I didn't even think about that take for Plague, but you're right. Why are you able to do that? Like it's only a sliver of infection so what's even the point of it being there as an option to do besides possible tunneling, but even then they're already injured? I'm pretty sure the reason why you get infected by unhooking a fully infected survivor just comes down to how the mechanic works, but I wouldn't be against them changing it so that it doesn't happen upon unhooking a survivor. Even if just to see how it effects Plague gameplay.

I really want to buff Pig... but reading what you have put I'm not going to do that
Unpopular Opinions....
Decrease EGC timer... or close the gate with 10 seconds left
Increase Gen Charges to 100 but have checkpoints at 25%, 50% and 75%... also maybe having the Survivors add a part or gas to the Gens... make Toolboxes make checkpoints that can't be regressed but doesn't add any progress
Decrease Gen charges to 80 but nerf Gen efficiency for Survivors
The checkpoints are an interesting idea, I wonder how that could work in game.

no they aren't, you love dropping a pallet and getting hit no matter what? you love vaulting at a safe distance and get hit no matter what? you love that if you drop the pallet you get hit and if you don't you get hit?
If it was a safe distance then you wouldn't be getting hit now would you? Just saying
However I will say, I love Nemesis and Xenomorph as killer, not as survivor. I understand a lot of the frustrations surrounding going against them.
-
In theory this is a good idea, except for the fact that killers run generally one gen slowdown/regression perk. Sure you can get a gen to say 60-75%, but when you get back to it I can almost guarantee it won't be that way anymore. Literally just finish the generator.

What kind of challenge would you rather have?
Honestly if they really wanted an iridescent emblem challenge, I wouldn't mind if they simply just changed which emblem it was or make it Gold Unbroken. Just not Iridescent Unbroken because that is too luck based.
-
@Skillfulstone said:
Honestly, this challenge is nothing compared to needing to have all 4 Survivors on basement hooks at once.
With the upcoming AFC it will literally be impossible to do unless you end up against a streamer's team who are willing to give you the challenge.
Some past challenges were made unreasonably hard because of updates and should be modified or replaced.
I am mostly speechless about this. I've done the challenge you're referring to and the only thing I can say is you either don't play survivor at all or rarely play survivor but have a knack for it if you actually think the challenge you're describing is harder to get than 3 Iridescent Unbroken Emblems. Lemme ask you this, how often are you downing survivors in your matches? Because every first down on a survivor you get, they would instantly lose this challenge for that round if they were doing it. You're right that BHVR has a knack for making older challenges harder with updates. However, the challenge you're describing is not entirely luck based even with the new system BHVR is implementing. You can't control whether or not you're going to get caught and downed in a match if you are found, the game is designed so that you can't run forever and get with the wrong teammates, which in solo queue happens more often than not, you won't be doing any 5 gen chases and escaping before the killer downs you meaning you lose the challenge. You have multiple chances to get all 4 Survivors in the basement at once in a killer match, but in a survivor match you only have one shot to get Iri Unbroken and if you get caught you blew that shot.
-
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the change but so far it's just been licensed chapters that have had this change. Unless Chapter 31 in March follows this pattern, I'm not going to be too mad. I say 31 because we know 30 is licensed so I'm predicting it'll follow this pattern that Nic Cage and Alien have established.
-
I've noticed this and in my experience it definitely comes back and knocks you out of your power.

Have you considered playing the side with the 100% bonus? Instant lobby!
Seriously, I've noticed no difference in matchmaking since TCM released because I play the side with the bonus.
-
I remember hearing that around Clown's release the devs said they were going to slow down on making new realms and focus on making new maps for existing realms. Since that statement, they've done it a total of 3 times I'm pretty sure. Honestly, I wouldn't care how many realms there were if they just stopped with map offerings. They just need to go and I feel like they have no place in dbd anymore with the direction the devs seem to want to take the game.
-
There are only 2 options based off of what the devs said either:
A. The license holders said yes and Alien will be the next tome
B. The license holders said no and original characters will be the next tome
Only time can tell which of these 2 things actually happened with the Alien license. Part of me wants to say they didn't get the rights for a tome in particular possibly on purpose because what the heck are you going to do for a Xenomorph story? However like I said, only time will tell.
-
Why is the comparison to Jake whos base is even clean shaven?
-
@Nebula said:
How does this confirm anything lol? For all you know it is a failed chapter and they needed more time to work the details of the license out. Billy is Leatherface before they got the rights, Legion is practically Ghostface before they got the rights, who's to say Skull Merchant wasn't originally intended to be Predator?
Intended for Predator, but they decided to give it to an original character is different from a "failed license." Failed license implies that they had the license and the license backed out and since Predator and Alien are owned by the same license holder, it wouldn't make sense for them to rip away Predator from BHVR and then say "but you can keep Alien." They would pull both licenses. That's why it proves it wasn't a failed Predator license. Also, that's how most people actually mean it when they say a failed license. Whenever people talked about it they would constantly talk about how Predator had the license but the license got pulled.
-
Artemis for Thalita makes sense. At least more so than Jane who already has a Muse cosmetic. What annoys me more is they gave Renato a Theseus cosmetic instead of Apollo. That way the twins could have the olympian twins. ITS SO OBVIOUS AND THEY ONLY HALF DID IT.

No, BHVR need to make other killers who are fun.
We are playing a game where they have the licence to killers like freddy krueger, and hes weak / boring.
BHVR's solution will be to defun him instead of making others fun.
I would assume the reason they would do that is because no one is going to switch to a different fun killer if they're already playing what they view as a fun killer. Regardless of whether I agree with that or not, that is definitely why they would rather nerf Wesker in some way to make him more boring than increase how fun the other 31 killers are.
-
I had a day where I faced 8 Weskers in a row. It's really ridiculous. We really need killer prevention.
-
I've definitely heard people be like "Well we have 11 days calm down." Well, I'm personally worried. If it's taken 2.5 days to get halfway done with the first and the emblems they've chosen are theoretically going to get harder to obtain the gold, that math is not mathing. That's 5 days just to get done with one challenge. So out of 14 days that would leave 9. Let's say the difficulty is scaled to be the same so the devs have found the next challenge that needs less to match the difficulty of getting 1 million of lightbringer and gatekeeper. That means it'll probably take another 5 days to get done with the next. Now we're down to 4 days. Which means we won't finish the 3rd challenge by the time the event ends. Oh and a reminder that at Summer Game Fest they said PTB is happening the last week of the event which will slow it down EVEN MORE. Yeah, we're not getting these.
-
You would think BHVR would say whether or not it's over but they didn't. I'm just going to assume since we got nothing that means it's over.
-
I had my personal issues with the Chapter, but I've never believed it to be a failure and I never understood people who think of it that way. Then again, some people believe anything original is by default a failure. I really enjoy Singularity and it's power. The biopods are fun and since the nerfs to EMPs, it no longer feels like survivors have total control over my power the entire match.
Gabriel is one of my favorite survivors of recent chapters alongside Ada and Vittorio (don't really care for Haddie, Becky, or the twins Thalita and Renato). Made For This is fun, but NOT OP like some will have you believe (if using 1-2 other perks maybe even surrounding an entire build around a perk is what makes it op, the perk itself is not op).
The map is the only thing that I'm 50/50 on. I haven't played on it since the hotfix and I know there was some stuff about the map in it, but I didn't look over the patch notes so maybe it isn't anything major. I don't necessarily like cluttered maps and I feel like it's one of the largest issues with maps just being cluttered and having stuff there for the sake of having it there. I hate hate HATE when the devs do that and for whatever reason they were celebrating doing that with Toba Landing.
Either way, really love the characters, map's fine I guess. I personally deem this chapter a success and after Forged of Fog and Tools of Torment being flops of original chapters, it's nice to see the devs succeed again with an original chapter.
-
His power is either disabled because of EMPs or refusing to work 95% of the match. It feels extremely difficult to play and is definitely frustrating. I wanted to make him one of my mains because of my experience on ptb and thinking he was fun, however after today I'm definitely dropping him. It is not fun to play the whole "I finally got my power to wor- nevermind the survivors immediately disabled it" game.
-
@TerraEsram said:
That was our... Global problem with Hux in the PTB... The EMP system is WAAAAYY To strong... And if you add that if you take all the other killer with some power interaction (the box with pinhead, deactivate the trap from the trapper, freddy and the nightmare, etc...) you have always some "price", like the time to deactivate it, oblivious, the killer see you or can TP at you, etc etc...
With the EMP, nothing, you can hold it like a lolipop and use it whenever you want, if you add that the printer make a new one when you take it there... Litterally, your power is nullified ...
Literally. Like their solution to the power of the EMP was to make it so you can't see the boxes when you already have one and make it slightly longer to get? Big deal you can't hold 2 and you can speed it up a ton just by standing at a box. The issue still stands, they wasted time on changes that fix nothing. "Oh but there's also less boxes!" Ok, so what? You can still get them just as frequently which was a big part of the issue.
How about looking into how quickly you can use an EMP. Maybe also look into the fact that you can grab something that should take 90 seconds to create in just over 20 just by clicking a button.

For how many times I can count in the past that I've heard either a dev or mod call grades post mmr simply a "measure of playtime," it does shock me that we still have both depips and a bad system measuring whether or not we deserve pips. If you want this to be a measure of playtime, make it a measure of playtime. It's not a better measure of playtime than it was a measure for matchmaking.

In general i do not like those map booster stuff. How's about having an event where map offerings are simply disabled and everything is just random? Or instead of this just disable some maps for a week. That would be something i would appreciate.
I agree with this. I also find that whenever they do these map booster events, it's the same maps over and over again. Which then defeats the purpose of their system to eliminate going to the same map over and over again because it'll just flip between 2 or 3 maps. I'm having that experience right now where it'll go to a map, next Badham, next a different map, then Badham, then a different map, then Badham, then a different map, then Badham, etc you get the point. It's annoying, I hate Badham, and it's all thanks to Badham being boosted right now to "celebrate 2 years of dbd."

why does depipping exist anyway? remove it completely
The devs and mods will sit there and tell us that the grades are now an expression of playtime only, yet depipping still exists.

I mean, all that's happening is you'll be able to seen when, if any, action was taken against the people you reported. If you're innocent then nothing is going to happen, after all, they don't go around just banning every single person that gets reported so if the report is nonsense, then nothing is going to happen. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
Obviously correct me if I'm wrong or if I missed something about what's happening with the report system.

Buff Trapper
Rework Skull Merchant
Nerf Blight
Remove Pinhead

Judging by the teaser, this is going to be a midchapter release. So I'm gonna say this is a Bill, Bubba, Ash, Mikaela situation.

You didn't read it and that's obvious because that's not necessarily what op is saying. Op was talking about the times in which during your adepts you feel you have to slug for the 4k to avoid a hatch game and then can't find who you slugged. That's not "going for bleed outs."

Oh THAT achievement. Hated that even though I only needed 20 on Steam. I used to play only on controller and I genuinely didn’t even try and just wanted to farm, it’s a nightmare to find survivors willing to help, even denying that last down at gates when it was obvious what you were going for -.- (though sure, no one should be forced to help farming so no blaming)
Now having played some games on M&K it actually feels like something I could eventually get on my own - though luckily I don’t have to anymore.
wishing you the best of luck with the remaining 19 hits!
I'm just now reading this as I just got that 100th down and completed the achievement, I've never been happier when it comes to dbd in my entire life. GOOD FREAKING RIDDANCE OF THIS ACHIEVEMENT

Although it would be cool to get The Last of Us in dbd, it is physically impossible for the devs to give Demo, Nancy, and Steve new cosmetics without first getting the license back. Since they aren't allowed to make a profit off it anymore.
However let's say the stars aligned, we got The Last of Us in dbd and Netflix came back to dbd with ST, and the stars were so aligned that two licenses were ok with having a crossover of sorts by having one of the licenses have a cosmetic on the other licenses character, yes that would be cool. Personally I'd also like to see a Verdugo cosmetic from RE4R on Demo since after the shenanigans that went on in RE4R, I think Demo would be the closest killer to the Verdugo in terms of power, I GUESS Dredge could work too since the power is similar but that feels more of a stretch than Demo.

And what's the verdict on that? Still one sided for SWF and one sided for killer vs randoms?
Since it's a newer feature, I would imagine they're still doing behind the scenes testing and analysis to figure out if this bridged the gap enough. There will never be a perfect bridge unless they add voice chat which they seem to be against and honestly I'm with them on this one. Never add voice chat to dbd.

BHVR however long ago: We're making it so you can hear the scream of a survivor when unhooking for Make Your Choice so you know whether it was a David or Feng who unhooked.
BHVR now: We want things to be consistent so we're nerfing most, but not all screaming perks and add-ons to have a hard cap of 19 meters for the screaming audio because consistency even though it's not actually consistent and there's no point to making it consistent because all these perks and add-ons work differently.
-
Yes, but with iri shards. I feel like her power has potential and I'm willing to try her out with these buffs, I just don't want to spend actual money and realize "Hey this chapter is still a flop." It probably will be, but I'm willing to give her some lenience. I like the survivors though.
-
They might have decided to move it to the 28th instead? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit this time.
-
Many characters have children within the lore, however if the question is more based on why aren't their children in the fog or why hasn't anyone had a child while in the fog... for the first of those questions no clue. Probably something along the lines of not getting the Entity's attention? Like we know Felix and Elodie's parents are somewhere in the fog, we just don't know where or if they haven't already been drained of all their hope prior to Felix and Elodie's arrival within the realm. As for the second, I'm going to guess the Entity does have some level of control over the thought processes of those in it's realm. As we see no survivors fight back during a trial despite always having easy access to long range weapons. I'd assume that level of "control" works the same around the campfire. Although it probably doesn't control them a lot, just minor things to make things better for itself and not for anyone else.

I personally buy into the 'this was formally Predator' theory, and I actually like this chapter as is too!
I just saw a video about the similarities between Tools of Torment and Predator and I definitely see it more than I did when I posted my comment. I'm a little more sold now, but I'd still personally need some convincing since the reason behind the survivors is so weak imo that you could blow on it and it would snap in half and fall over. However I definitely see the correlation between Adriana and Predator and the mori makes more sense if it was supposed to be Predator.
-
I'm pretty sure it actually was said somewhere that when the game was in development they initially tried to get Leatherface but the license holders said no and so they made their own killer based on Leatherface, so actually that first one isn't entirely wrong. That's also if I heard correctly and it wasn't just someone's theory.
Although I'm still not sold on the whole "Skull Merchant was Predator and they changed it because of the license" idea. Personally I think that theory came from people thinking up a new excuse why to call this chapter bad. I don't think people would have gone there if the chapter was amazing.
-
I feel this. It's definitely Last Minute Hero for me. It's like I have 2 options, I can get the save before the gates are opened or I can shove my fellow survivor out of the way and open it myself just so someone else can get it instead. I don't understand how a challenge that is SO SIMPLE can be so difficult to get.

If Trapper and Hillbilly were just "inspired by licenses" why can that not apply the same way here? Why is it that Skull Merchant has to be plagiarized while the other 2 are just "inspired?"
