K, have fun in pokemon and comparing apples to oranges.

Technically speaking we do have a graveyard map and everyone hates it, but if we're talking about one that has a more creepy aesthetic, I would love to see another graveyard map to be more in line with what people wanted out of one.

As a survivor main and flashbang enjoyer myself I will say they are actually unfair in some situations, particularly when a killer faces a wall to pick up but you still get the save. That makes them pretty much unavoidable without Lightborn and that should never be a thing.
The sound bug just makes them even more unfair
The sound bug at this point is actually annoying. Recently I hadn't noticed that a survivor I hit had a flashbang and they threw it down when I hit them as I was carrying a survivor. Since the bug happened, I didn't look up so the survivor got out. It's gotten to a point where it's giving survivors an unfair advantage because it will happen at least once if not more during a match. This next comment will annoy a lot of survivors and I'm not here to start another conversation, but I think that bug has made a lot of killers start to slug more than they usually would. Heck the bug has become prevalent enough that I'm starting to see people with flashlights run the perk because they know it's a guaranteed save if done right and the thing is, they have the timing down so it's almost always done right.

When queue times in any event get particularly long, we have the ability now to add a bot to the lobby to help ease those queue times
Maybe this is just me, but if I wanted fast queue times and to face bots, I'd go play around in custom matches. I wouldn't be queueing up for an actual match.

they confirmed in a few other forum talks that it's "intended" and that they can't control it
Well in that case never mind, that's dumb that they knew about it and didn't say anything.

Knowing BHVR, this is more likely a bug than intended, but I could be very wrong

I'm having this issue on PS5 again also, I'm having flashbacks to when this happened last January/February.

Yes Daniel, let me stay in this match where I'm on hook and I can see my teams' auras and realize no one is trying to progress the match. Sorry that you can't quickly process the match information available to you to realize the match that took you 4/5 minutes to get into is already over.
Let me linger a bit longer with 1 teammate dead at 4 gens. Are there some games where we can bounce back? Definitely, but they are not the norm. Please elaborate on why you think players should stay in pointless matches? To play for hatch? No thanks
This is, at this point, a niche situation that isn't happening most of the time when people give up. The vast majority of my games (because I can only talk about my experience) it usually just comes off as someone is bitter that they got caught. There could be any number of gens left, heck the gates could be powered (just not open), and it will still happen. People seem to decide if it's a "pointless match" based on if they would get the equivalent of Iridescent Unbroken, which is to never get downed, which is not the point of the game.
You're not supposed to be uncatchable as survivor. I don't mean "uncatchable" as in you guarantee die, I just mean the killer has the capabilities, even if it takes a while, to catch you at some given point of the match and hook you at least once. Maybe that's the one and only time they catch you, but they could and did. I have no idea if I explained that well, but hopefully you get the point I'm trying to make.
-
I feel like the devs went too far with the amount of long cooldowns Dracula has and making add-ons give an even longer cooldown is not smart. I get you need some level of a cooldown for balance reasons, but some of his abilities, especially the hellfire, don't really feel good to use because of how long it takes between using it and being able to hit again, especially if you miss (and it's really easy to miss).
-
I'm not going to have this argument with you because clearly you weren't around at the time of that ptb otherwise you'd realize what you just said isn't an argument against what I said. I advise you to look into that ptb and see why base kit unbreakable was such an issue. If you think slugging is bad, base kit unbreakable could have killed the game because no killers wanted to deal with that. Before you say "killers are too soft," again, I advise you to go back and watch those videos to see just how much easier base kit unbreakable was to abuse than slugging.
-
@baharuto48 said:
No. I mean a perk to leave survivors in the dying state until dead. It's too powerful to have basekit.
Survivors should be able to revive themselves unless the killer takes the perk that let's them slug.
They tested basekit unbreakable at one point, never again should that return. NEVER. It is overly abusable.
-
I'm not entirely sure what you mean? Are you referring to just the adepts with this post? Either way, when a chapter drops, they actually add 3 achievements for each side that gains a character. So a killer only chapter will come with 3 killer achievements, a survivor only chapter will come with 3 survivor achievements, and a chapter that comes with at least one killer and one survivor will come with 6 achievements, 3 for each side. So they already do add more than adepts? Every time a character drops.
For instance, with Tomb Raider they added an achievement for swapping out your item with an item in a chest, they added another for vaulting soon after getting hit, and obviously the Adept for Lara. These ones aren't as interesting because they'll kind of just happen naturally over time, but that's just an example.

^ literally!!!!
It is beyond frustrating and to think that you now have the luxury of classes, seeing auras and gens that are being worked on. I think the whole "doing gens" as an objective has run its course and needs to be replaced by something that is engaging.
This was literally me half of my rounds today as survivor in 2v8. Like how is it that there are SEVEN OTHER SURVIVORS IN THIS ROUND AND I'M STILL THE ONLY ONE DOING GENS!
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
This would probably make even less real survivors queue up for the mode. Nobody in their right mind would queue up for a mode where they know that 50% of their teammates are bots
This is honestly the only real problem I see with going with this idea. Sure it would help a lot of the killers out because queue times will be vastly shorter, but then survivors are stuck with bots if there even are any real survivors in the round to begin with.
-
I've actually seen the answer to this. Some platforms can be sticklers about changing achievements unless they're physically impossible to do anymore, so they haven't changed them back. I don't think this is entirely the best reason to go with since they can just simply… add them back as new achievements? However, that's the reasoning they seem to have gone with so that's what we're gonna get unless we complain a lot.

I did that but it’s not letting me use any of the killers or survivors other than the base ones on Steam. I have everyone purchased on Xbox but it’s saying I need to unlock them on Steam again even though they have all of their correct prestige’s and cosmetics I have equipped on Xbox. I tried logging in and out but it’s not letting me access my paid dlc on Steam for some reason.
That's a BHVR problem, dlc shouldn't be effected by cross progression at all outside of Switch. Sounds like you had one of the extremely few hiccups that actually happened. You're saying everything transferred correctly except the purchased dlc's right?
-
In your BHVR Account, go to Game Library, hover over dbd and click "discover more", then scroll a little down and it's right there.

It doesn't matter the order that you link them, it matters which one you open after linking them because that's when it determines the loadouts from the look of it.

I'm personally not going to do what a lot of people are talking about which is waiting for days. If it turns out to be even half as bad as people are predicting it could be, we'll know as a community within hours. It's not going to take days to know it. Honestly if by 3-ish my time tomorrow it seems like no one is complaining and no rumors have spread, I'm connecting my accounts. Heck it could be even earlier if things go really well.
-
It kind of depends on the adept for me. If a survivor has all around good or even just well synergizing perks, I'll just play regularly and it's fine. However, if I have to do one like say Renato who has 2 trash perks and 1 that's really only useful if you want to be in the killer's face, I'm doing gens and stealthing as carefully as humanly possible. Also like some have said, bring a key in case.

Has Tome 19 really not closed yet? Huh. But yes, Tome 20 opens tomorrow according to the July roadmap they released.

It was a form of random A/B testing and they just haven't made it a feature for everyone yet, for some reason.
Honestly it wouldn't entirely shock me if the reason is because they forgot they did it to begin with. It just makes no sense otherwise to me.
-
Short answer: You can't.
The devs for whatever reason made that change to some accounts over a year ago, actually it could have been 2 years ago at this point, and just never changed it for everyone. I've never understood why because it's such a small change, but they refuse to give it to everyone.

Yeah it will depend on how your stuff was acquired, in the platform store and whether it was with cells or not. I imagine all unlocked perks and items and character levels will move over. Some cosmetics may not.
I know in the original Q&A from years ago they said "platform exclusive" cosmetics won't transfer like the free Trapper Switch Cosmetic (which is just a red version of the Delinquent outfit for him but actually released first so technically Delinquent is the recolor but many wouldn't know that).

I mean… the hooks still glow white when they break, so I'm gonna say the answer is yes.
-
@Souplet said:
Did you ever consider that i don't want to waste time farming bp with you ?
I dont want to sit here and watch you do gens ?
I usually play fair, going for 12 hooks if i can and if the pace of the game permits it. If i see that i got 2 hooks with 2 gens done, yeah, im gonna try a little harder because im at a clear disadvantage and i still want to win
Sometimes, it happens that i stumble on the same person multiple times. Thats unlucky but i wont just ignore you and go to the other side of the map to hope to find someone (i do it when game is clearly one sided and i want to have some fun).
I'll give you hatch if i feel like giving you hatch.
It's not being a douchebag, its just playing the game. I play in the event mode because i find it fun. It doesn't mean that i want tofool around for 20 min, i want to actually play.
Don't expect people to play as you want them to. Expect them to play how the games allows it.
I will be the first to admit that I might have been a little harsh in my post, but I will say I legitimately made it right after a round where I had been tunneled out at 5 gens in the event queue and I wasn't able to do literally anything event related and it had also happened the previous few survivor games before that round either. I could have done a better job of explaining, but I'm mostly talking about in my post about when it happens and there's 4 or 5 generators left and the killer has 1 or 2 hooks and acts like they're already in endgame and if a survivor isn't out in the next 2 seconds then the match is over for them.
Like I said in an earlier comment, I don't want farming games necessarily, but I do want fair games. If the game is fair, and judging by what you said, it sounds like you are. Great! I'm not talking about you because to me, if you're tunneling but there's like 1 or 2 gens left and you have maybe 3 hooks (random number, 2 hooks works too from your example), and you start tunneling. Will I be a little annoyed if I were the survivor? Probably. Will I be annoyed enough that I would even think of making a post like this over it? Absolutely not because in that situation it's fair. I have played a ton of killer so I understand there's a lot of situations where you accidentally tunnel someone because they just happen to be who you find next and can't find anyone else or you're just having an awful match and you're still sitting at 0 hooks with a single gen remaining (happened to me the other day), I get it. It happens. That's not what the killers I'm talking about are doing or in the situation of. I'm talking about the killers who get a hook at 5 gens, then watch the hook from just far enough away that the anti-camp mechanic can't work, see the survivor get unhooked and then goes back after the survivor who just came off hook still at 5 gens (sometimes 4 at this point depending on length of chase and teammates).
There was a match just yesterday (or was it the day before? idk time doesn't matter) where I was facing an Unknown, there were 5 generators left and he hooked me then just slugged everyone around my hook, refused to pick anyone up until I was dead. When that didn't happen and I somehow got saved, they tunneled me and kept the survivors on the floor until they got picked up. All at 5 generators still. That to me is inappropriate behavior and unacceptable in an event alternate game mode. There is no reason to be doing that. Just to give an example.

@Nazzzak said:
Honestly, every time I ready up the only thing I think to myself is 'hope this killer is chill so i get some points.' This is inarguably THE best time of the year to rack up the bp and do some prestiging, and the only thing I dislike is how as a survivor my ability to maximise bp seems to depend on how the killer I'm facing feels. Because the killer gets crazy good bp regardless. They have no reason to care what i get as there's no incentive for them to do so, so at the very least the devs could maybe increase points for survivor objectives so we can each walk away with something decent on our own esteem and not just if the killer lets us (and no, I'm not talking farming (I personally don't find farming fun)).
EXACTLY! At least half the rounds I had even just today as survivor ended with me getting less than 100k points or barely getting it, even with a 150% bonus and 5 event offerings, THAT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE in the event queue that from what they said during the anniversary stream wasn't made to be a sweaty mess like many killers are treating it. Take that to the regular queue. I don't necessarily want to farm every game, but not getting tunneled and camped out with 5 generators remaining because "Oh that chase lasted more than 2 seconds" would be nice.

@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Too early to say IMO. I'm sure they'll adjust them if it turns out they're too time-consuming.
It's way too time consuming, I get wanting these to take more than 30 seconds for an individual to complete but for the length of the event and how many community challenges there are overall, we should be close to done with the second challenge by now, but we're still slowly working on the first. (not a leak for anyone curious, can check in game each level by clicking on any part of Bill or Unknown's cosmetic, you can see their associated event tome level, been that way the last few events)
-
I'm going to guess, if it wasn't scrapped, that it was just pushed back. We also were supposed to get a graphical map rework for some map (most likely the swamp maps) in January, but that never happened. I'm hoping it's still coming because I like Singularity.

It's from the Aftermath Collection that just released with Nurse and Dwight.

Actually this has been there since right before the Haunted by Daylight event for Halloween. It is interesting and it has to still be there for a reason, I don't think it's the next chapter though.

My guess is the release/launch date of Frank stone will be revealed during the anniversary. It would make sense considering they've just dropped two teasers for the game
This is probably it, they have been more active about teasing the game.

I feel like the skull is teasing that we're going to get an announcement about the game. I don't see them releasing him as a killer prior to the game's release (especially far enough in advance we don't know when the release date is) and even then, they might plan it to be a chapter or two after to avoid spoilers right when the game releases. Although I'm excited either way since they've been teasing the same exact thing about the game since the announcement and finally teased something new.

For you first question, yes, it does include a unique lullaby.
As for the second question, this is a Visceral outfit, meaning it comes with a unique mori (like The Trapper's Naughty Bear outfit). This is the normal price for all future Visceral outfits, whereas the Naughty Bear outfit was released at a special lowered price as part of our Halloween celebrations.
Thank you for answering my questions, but this brings a new question to my mind. Wasn't the whole point of standardizing the prices of rarities to get rid of these sort of anomalies?
Maybe this is just me, but I feel like Visceral should just be considered another version of the Legendary Rarity just like Ultra Rare is currently to Legendary and the Event rarity is just treated as another version of Very Rare for cosmetics. From the perspective of the players who weren't ever aware that Visceral was going to be 1755 ac and just thought it was going to be 1485 ac like legendary and ultra rare, it feels like BHVR took out all anomalies just to introduce a new one. It creates more confusion to the players like when I initially brought up how weird it was when asking if the 1755 auric cells was a bug. Maybe I'm just completely misunderstanding what exactly happened with visceral. Hopefully you can clear up some of the confusion.

It hasn't been here for long and I'm already feeling burned out of it. Which honestly is fine because it's only here for 2 days and is serving it's purpose. It's fun for a while then gets old. Perfectly fine for it's purpose and I hope it returns next year maybe for a different killer? It would be interesting if they brought it back every year but changed what killer it was. Maybe next year it'll be My Little Knight or something. Idk that's the first killer that came to mind.

I doubt.
First look why Feng is so popular and you will see it's just not possible.
- Feng is pretty popular survivor in China and Japan since she is cute Asian girl.
- She is gamer girl which is loved by gamers and another reason of her pick-rate.
- She is free character on consoles with decent perks.
- Also Asian characters are simped in west so much from what i saw on internet.
Sable will be popular. There is no doubt about that but i don't think she will be on that level. I can see she will be popular as like Yui, Mikaela, Kate, Nea. But i highly doubt she can dethrone Feng, Meg, Claud or Dwight.
Not to mention Feng has better teachables for newer players. So newer players might be drawn to her over Sable.
-
I've been taking data since the 3rd until I face every killer in the game and according to that... apparently I've seen 2 this week. I don't know when the first was, but the second was yesterday in Lights Out.
-
I haven't noticed much change. I think maybe the longest I've waited in either queue is like a minute and a half? Maybe? At most. Which is not bad at all when the community is split between the two modes.

It's a new killer rework, of a beloved killer that was unjustly nerfed 4 years ago. And the killer happens to be VERY fun to play.
Besides - this is how killers feel EVERY GAME. Versing the same perks, every game.
I play both sides and I have a variety of mains on both sides, this is not how killer feels every game. Every survivor plays the exact same with changes only being necessary for playstyle depending on what killer you get. On the other hand, every killer plays differently, even killers with similar kits play differently. If you stick to only one single killer, yeah every match is going to feel the exact same because you don't need to shake anything up in terms of playstyle. Survivor on the other hand, you depend on who the person playing killer chose to play in order to have any shake up since you can't just change survivor and have something new to work with, as I said earlier.
I'm not saying Hillbilly is boring to play as because I've played new Overdrive Billy, that's the most fun I've ever had as Billy even compared to pre-Overheat Billy. I can think Hillbilly is very fun to play now, but it doesn't mean I want to stick strictly to playing Hillbilly and it definitely doesn't mean I only want to face Hillbilly.
Both sides will always have a level of repetition that's always there and that won't go away. If we look at matches in the way you're looking at it for "This is how killers feel every game" then that's just how dbd is every game regardless of side.
-
I personally think Billy can be fun to verse... when it's not every other game. Same problem I had with Wesker when he released. I have no problems with a killer being strong, I have a problem with feeling like I'm only facing them.

Essentially everything that I'd consider a dream chapter for me is already in the game. Although I'd say that I'd like to see a Dead Space paragraph. I recently got the game and have been playing through it and it's a lot of fun. Other than that, all my dream chapters are in the game already.

It's not exactly fun either for the newbie survivors that some experienced killers like to seek out for easy games. It's also not fun for the newbie killers getting backfilled into the 3k hour survivor lobbies just to get steamrolled. Stop dodging. How do you know all P100s are sweaty if you're dodging them all?
This. 100% this. I feel like for me, most Prestige 100s either aren't that bad or just straight up suck. I feel like it's very rare that I see a ton of good Prestige 100s that just run around me the entire match.

Less than when it first released but still a bit. Although I still see them every time I play because I've been enjoying our new friend. I don't even remember who was the last killer that I seriously went "Yeah, they're going to be part of my main rotation of killers" and stuck to that (probably Sadako).
