Your gonna want to define "safe". Besides weren't you talking about back and forth? 🎶 Where's the back and forth?
Look at Wesker. One of the most fun back and forth in the game sand safe tiles has a level of counter play to it.
Scamper isn't.
-
@Rulebreaker said:
You can say what you want, but we disagree. Considering that some "back and forth" is running around a car, that we can see over, 3 or so times and drop pallet...yes we disagree.
Good thing you can just tank the only car pallet in the map and there's no more safe pallets. Disagree alright.

I think unsafe pallets are good for the game. Learn how to loop without dropping god pallets, safe pallets, I also think killers powers aren’t becoming more cheesy. Unknown and Chucky’s powers imo are the most fun to go against in a killer in a long time.
Pretty ironic I'm being told to learn how to loop while you preach unsafe pallet that just requires you to run around in a circle and guess a rigged 50 - 50 but okay.
Unknown? I disagree, I just slap a nade on the ground even in a safe pallet. Barely any counter play to it.

I get your point, but I think you're overblowing the potency of hug tech. I'd equate it closer to something like grapplers being able to jab to mask a 360/720 inputs so they don't need to jump, not game breaking but a minor situational advantage. If it was entirely unavoidable and had zero skill expression (like the aforementioned pallet vacuuming) then it would fall in line with that change, but its a nuanced tech which didn't necessarily deserve to be blasted from orbit.
Yeah It's very clear most of the people in this thread overestimate hug tech because they watch Lilith omen or something.
It's a tech hard to pull off against Survivors who actually play Blight and now they changed blight mechanically for the worse.
Maybe people find this kind of Blight more healthy? This is the type of hits that would have at least deterred a blight a second for a hug tech or another rush for a better angle, Nope just slide through the tiles like it's nothing. But hey it's working as intended so it means it's very healty in the long run, ya?

Because everyone used speed.
I can play this sassy game too: Is expecting Blights to use their powers as intended too hard nowadays?
Yes. Old blight was mechanically was more balanced than whatever we got today. I'd rather use knowledge about the killer to know what he can't do. Now you have blight sliding through ######### tiles and hitting you even more unfairly with zero efforts of the new logic. All hits that would have been incredibly hard to pull off normally if not impossible.
Good job. You guys won the war and changed blight for the better /s.

There is no fun builds for killer unless you're going in expecting to have a good chance of losing. You're playing a 4 v 1 game. That's how it is, If you have the leisure to use fun builds and still mop the floor then there's something seriously wrong.
Fun builds > Also wants to win
Pick one.
-
I would say she's A. Drone has no penalty spamming for it and is nothing but benefits even having Survivor constantly waste time interacting with it is a time waster throughout. It also makes survivor movements much predictable if say you lock the middle part of the map so they have no choice but to hug a part of the map you want them to.
-
Really? This state is worse than Survivors having Four meta perks of the apocalypse? The busted toolbox/medkit add ons? When Survivor could just tap a generator and undo the kick you just invested? When the sprint burst from getting hit is much more potent? When Healing wasn't nerfed and everyone and their grandmother heals within a few seconds then come back to mess with you? When maps had more safe pallets in general? When maps were much more larger in favor of survivors? When dead hard is in the game and was essentially a third health state? Really the current state is worse than that?
What?

Dude you cant seriously think that the changes to his add-on's are going to hurt the blight. It's exactly like when they changed nurses add-ons 6 months ago, removing her range and recharge. Was it a nerf? yes. Did she get weaker? not really. The same is happening for the blight. Do you think hes gonna drop below spirit or chucky or peoples tier lists for this. Cause I would be hella shocked.
Blight can't ignore walls so I don't know what you're talking about.
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
Oh no! His add-ons got nerfed, so now he went down from triple S+ tier to only S+ tier. How will blight ever cope with such a dramatic nerf?
Probably by playing survivor
-
So I've been playing her for some quite some time now bought her with the free Iri shards.
Most of the matches has been 4K stomps with barely anyone doing drones so that just means Free map control and makes survivors predictable when traversing map. What could have been a straight forward unhook they have to go all the way here and there and give time to the killer. Might not be important alone but stacking it for all four survivors could mean A LOT.
This is the only the killer which I think has ZERO negatives on her power. Clown has to reload and stay still, Nurse has fatigue,Blight has to recharge, etc. This doesn't. No movement penalty at all for deploying drones or any benefits for survivor to hack drones but they have to in some cases.
Almost convinced the best M1 killer in the game.
-
Survivors have a let's bully the killer mindset in general because it's funny. They're constantly have this group mentality logic behind the scenes and is circle jerking each other on everything the killer did wrong(What they personality think anyway).
Go play random discord survivors and you'll see what I mean. Not that I'm saying every survivor is like this but I think most just brings out the inner toxicity when they're group together.

How is it limiting if we have no option but to use a controller for DBD?
How is it not limiting? Whether you use a console or not is irrelevant. You're in fact limited by using a controller.
-
Show a footage of your match and we can se what's the problem. My guess is a skill issue.
-
I heavily complained about Alien and yes I do enjoy playing against it now. I don't feel as hopeless anymore and there's actual rewards for the survivor for a tail miss.
-
Survivors are selfish. Almost every selfish has been nerfed to smithereens. So I've just been using Windows of opportunity and Made for this. Like man there's so many altruistic perks just blegh and make your blood trails disappers.
My treasure hunter build got nerfed to oblivion too since items aren't as good nowadays.

What do you mean by chosing to limit themselves with a controller? Us consolers have no choice with DBD but to use a controller.
I never said chose so I don't know where you got that from? Me stating that you're limiting yourselves with a controller is true though.
-
I honestly think the game is in a good place right now balance wise. When you can notice your team throwing by not doing generator as a Survivor you know that the balance has shifted compared to years ago. They're slowly ironing out the broken stuff that they have a decent base at the moment. They would just have the tinker with other mechanics but I don't think touching generator speed is the right move at best should be tool boxes.

I got so mad when the SM outfit released back then and tons of people colplained that its a cashcrab and should be removed but when i checked their post history most of them kept asking for shirtless felix etc and thirsted for them.
I don't like most of Oni's skins but I don't rag on it. Know why? Because it fits the killer.

I do. Doesn't stop me from pointing out the obvious.

There is nothing wrong with her outfits, even if they give her bikini costume it will be fine.
I am never seeing anyone talking about shirtless male costumes
Killers are killers and Survivors are Survivors.
What I expect my Killer to wear is cool and frightening #########.
-
At this point should just give SM a bikini outfit. That's their users.
-
It's always been like this throughout the years. Only reason you didn't notice because Survivor actually have the leniency to F around because heals were easy, Second chance perks, Safe pallets every where, Maps were bigger in general, etc.
Survivor are just figuring out they couldn't just do the same thing as before. It's gotten to the point that you can notice as a survivor your team throwing by not immediately doing generators. Noticing your survivor team throwing is bizzarre thing years ago since every set back could ultimately be remedied by pressing E to dead hard or whatever broken stuff we were allowed to do.
-
IMO just need to remove the endurance status effect.
-
Nurse doesn't even add ons to steam roll survivors.
Blight would be struggling without it lol

Ever since the tail nerfed the killer has been consistently awful and taken out of its power :(

How long it took you to get to P100? Do you get more rare items? Had I known I'll be forced to prestige I would have stockpiled on rare add ons lmao
-
Funnily enough this rank reset got me more competent survivors than the last month lmao. Really impressed with my randoms that went against a really good nurse earlier.

Yeah I've said before that I'm starting to think the poor matchmaking is intentional. They want killrates at around 60% and the matchmaking is just one aspect that helps that.
When I play killer I get survivor that has a functioning dome and when I play survivor its the exact opposite lol.

You can also 'shut down' your computer and cancel it which forcefully closes every application but I'm sure it bugs your OS because it also closes some important stuff so you're just forced to restart either way.

For the first week I would have agreed and he has an awful glitch where he doesn't slow down after mssing a tail attack. They also chose the worst time to nerf vault speeds given the fact this is one of the counters but this is just an inconvnience. Just crouch behind pallets and vaults if a turret starts beeping then leave the gen or if you are healing a survivor move.
Those professional players that is competing at a highest level should have just crouch behind pallets giga brain.

Well, the cooldown is not the only problem with him. The fact that he does not have a literal cue when he will attack (your reaction has to be literally negatively timed) is also broken:
https://youtu.be/xUnmq7z6ZvY?si=1MNzKe_qIsDveCNh
now, imagine this killer, with the huge slow down that it has, using this mechanic to tunnel down or camp a survivor at 5 gens. This killer has a way oppressive power to rule the game in the few minutes of the match.
With our anti tunneling perks being nerfed to the ground, and endurance not stacking, it is not possible to force the killer not to tunnel someone before the first gen is done. Out of the record is countered by just a slap after unhook, Decisive Strike is useless bc you don’t get enough distance to reach a safe zone, guardian is a joke of a perk, borrowed time don’t stack with out of the record and it is countered by a simple slap after unhook.
This killer can just camp (or proxy camp) the area, hit the unhooker, then down the unhooker, and then tunnel the unhooked having all the time of the world to down him/her/them. The justification for that is on the fact that one survivor will be down, another at risk of being deleted from the game in 5 seconds, another technically setting torrents, and one doing gens. (This is in the most optimistic scenario, but it is very chaotic seeing it in practice).
This killer is overpowered and way too much oppressive to be in this current state. The devs must address this issue with the proper response that it deserves.
There's a video with Supaalf vs a Pro player team. The chases as usual so skewered into the Alien's favor with most Survivor aren't even capable of dropping the pallet. You only have a good chase if you're blessed with a really good set up. Now if these Professional players are actually dropping like flies in chase again Alien with little to no mind game except the threat of it's tail. Never mind what happens in actual matches that's not a Pro team or in a 4 man coms.

Would you please do the math how to react to the tail? I did it (you can find it in multiple threads) and came to the conclusion that by the time the surviror press the button to react he already got hit 30ms ago.
He has negative reaction time lmao. It's really apparent that you have to guess Tail attacks and the guessing game is heavily skewered to the Alien player's favor
Until this guy makes a video of him reliably dodging tails in a chases his flat out lying. There is no way anyone can react to tail.

DBD has been supposedly dying for years now. Fact of the matter is the game won't die as long as they keep pumping out new content. The moment content making stops is the moment the game dies.

That's a really specific scenario, though. How often does that even happen, let alone someone choosing to cleanse a totem in that scenario?
That's like, one really annoying game, not an overall trend.
This is just one example and this isn't specific scenario. Important points in matches happens all the time in matches it doesn't have to be 1 - 1 exact replica of the situation it could even been where it just puts your team at a massive disadvantage instead of a game ending mistake. What those important points are you have to figure that out.
-
@jesterkind said:
There are reasons someone might be doing a totem that may not be even wasting time at all, let alone throwing. I myself do totems because I run Inner Healing, which means I'm setting up not needing a teammate to heal me later on, which means I can be healthy for a clutch save or to waste more time in a chase at crucial moments.
Speaking of, uh, healing? You should be healing, that's not throwing. Unless you mean using Self-Care to heal themselves without something like Botany to back it up, which is a bit more reasonable of a critique. If you mean healing teammates at all, though, that's something you should be doing.
Don't get me wrong, solo queue has always had and will always have the problem of teammates that crouch in a corner instead of doing anything productive at all, but I think it's very easy to fall into the mindset of "Not being on generators at all times = throwing", which is not only not accurate, it's a mindset that'll lead you to optimise all the fun out of your matches. The thing that loses you matches is teammates who do nothing, not teammates that do side objectives as well.
Sorry but not every moment is a healing time. There is important points in the game where the survivor shouldn't be doing anything else other than pumping generator. They do something else and it quite frankly becomes an unwinnable scenario and at best a Hatch game.
Now imagine a Chess Player Traper who is just dwindling Survivor resources with Sloppy and holding a really good Three gen scenario then there's only three survivors left. The ONLY time the Trapper commits to a chase away from the three gen. One survivor does the generator up to 70% until the trapper finally returned and kicked the gen with Pop. Where was the second survivor in that scenario? Oh wait he's investing his time looking for totems then going into a locker. If there were two survivors there the generator would have been finished and MAYBE the two would have escaped via exit gates because the trapper is finally forced to do chases on parts of the map where there's actually pallets?

Yes. Ran into the pallet and back. Anything beside doubling back 3 feet from the pallet. If I'm that Xeno there, I'm waiting until I see you step inside the pallet before I M2. You didn't:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Y6RN2R18RPYD/image.png
You CAN actually react to the whip, you just have to react very fast. But that's beside the point entirely. My point is that you're trying to argue that you should have been able to do something there; I'm arguing that you already misplayed, unless the Xeno misplayed as well. It doesn't matter if those other killers have a sound cue, because no matter what, you were gonna get hit there. All of them had a way to zone you away from the pallet and either secure the M2 hit or bodyblock the pallet and M1. What you're doing is akin to being in M1 range near an M1 killer, with a pallet 2 feet in front of you, and whining about how you had nothing you could do to make the pallet safely. If Xeno is that close to you already, you're already in a bad position.
Face palm. I avoided going into the pallet because again it's an extremely safe bet for the Xeno you physically cannot RAN INTO THE PALLET AND BACK. ANY POINT OF ME RUNNING INTO THE PALLET AND XENO CAN TAIL ATTACK AT ANY POINT AND WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDODGEABLE
I don't know what you're smoking when the tail charging time is 0.02 seconds and at the entire thing takes about 0.06 seconds from charging to hit.
You should be in the guiness book of record for the fastest human reaction. Might as well get the Anti cheat check your computer if you can move your character fast and do your silly pallet strat.

Well, there was a 50/50 on whether Xeno prefires tail, in which case you would have won. You could have also ran into the pallet and back towards the killer instead of swerving out so early and predictably, and you may have forced a whiff. It's exceptionally hard to hit the tail at point blank.
But here's where you're going wrong: you're whining that you had maybe 3m of distance on the killer and got hit. Why do you feel like you were entitled to not get hit there? Against a Huntress, Wesker, Pyramid Head, Trickster, Nemesis, Slinger (and probably a few more), you get hit there no matter what (if they don't whiff). But when the new killer can hit you from outside M1 range, all of a sudden, we're outraged?
Ran into the pallet and back? Why are you blatantly lying? You could get hit with an M2 before you could even react. As soon as you hear the whip sounds it's already mid stab. You have ample time to do this with Pyramid head since his M2 isn't instant.
Except all the killers you mentioned has a visual cue that they're doing an M2 and can only do as such. They can't suddenly do an M1 and use that to change the 50-50 into their favor. That's like Pyramid head holding M2 and suddenly slashing you with an M1 instantly. That's now those killers work. Heck they have rewards for the Survivor if they miss their attacks while Alien doesn't most of time doesn't allow that.

Lol run into the pallet and back to the killer? Hello? Have you ever tried this killer? You literally have no time to do that and as soon as you hear the wind up it's already mid stab. Stop lying lmao.
Except all the killers you mentioned can't use M1 while they're using M2 and if they were to cancel out their M2 they have a decent cooldown. Do you not see the problem with this? If they're holding M2 they can only do one specific attack which can be predicted properly and not to mention these guys actually allows you to get good distance if they mess up their attacks. This is like Huntress while holding her hatchet is pressuring you away from Windows and Pallets then instantly doing an M1. Heck you can drop the pallet if they cancel out their M2 here.
