I'm new to this forum. You think they'll consider something like this?
2v8s have been discussed a lot in the past amongst the community. We’ve heard no news towards it, but if I had to think about it, I’m sure it could become a game-mode when dedicated servers come out. The issue I would see with it being a thing now is the host’s connection and how it would affect the other Killer and all 8 Survivors, BUT, like I said, once dedicated servers come out, I’m sure it could come true! We can only dream

Being able to see the Killer would make it hell on the Killer. Players would just bring an anti-doctor build or an anti-Trapper build with Small Game and generally make underpowered Killers even more useless. It’s a matter of what you think is important to bring at all times, not what you need for just one game and then swap your perks the next and so forth. While Killers get an advantage being able to see the Survivors, they don’t know what they’re really bringing...With how many different variants of items there are for Survivors to use, Killers can easily mind-game themselves before a match by trying to figure out what a Survivor is bringing just by how they look and what is in their hands. It wouldn’t be fair to bring a key and not have the Killer know there’s a chance that 1 to 3, depending on how many gens are done and who is still alive, could easily just escape after gen rushing. You just need to generally go along with what you’re given, not what is known.
Like I said they can also make it where the killer can’t see us. They can change their build accordingly but I can’t? Okay not fair. Fair is fair is fair. I’m okay with either or. Do you think bringing a mori Bc you see a bunch of medkits, toolboxes etc is the ability to last minute in Franklins is fair? We get in there not knowing who the killer is or what they brought. We don’t have the option to lobby dodge for an easy game but killers do Bc they can opt out if they don’t like what they see. Is that fair? Is that balanced. I can argue balance for survivors like you can killer.
I play both survivor and killer, and I prefer survivor. I’ve played this game for two years on both Xbox and PC, and I can assure you, if you’re having games where killers bring Franklins a lot, you’re generally running a toxic build with other Survivors, such as most of you carrying flashlights or toolboxes to genrush. The last time I’ve seen a Franklins was against a Freddy about two weeks ago and that was because I was planning on toying with the Killer all match for ‘get chased for 2 minutes as Feng Min.’ Dropping your items suck, I know, but Killers don’t exactly have a lot to use to their advantage if they’re not playing someone like Hillbilly or Nurse. It’s a matter of thinking. It’s a horror game where Survivors need to complete gens, survive, and escape. If they knew 24/7 what Killer they were going against, it wouldn’t exactly be fun and get stale over time. The mystery of ‘well, I’m worried it’s a Doctor, should I bring Calm Spirit or should I keep using Lithe?’ is a matter of chance. Not only that, but planning ahead of the Killer, who’s main goal is to kill and keep Gens under control could make the game stale and unplayable for them if they have no clue their getting gen rushed planned by a group of 4 SWFs. You need to think about both ends of the balance scale and not outweigh one side because you favor it over the other.

  • I agree with this post
  • Oh okay. Completely forgot about it to be honest. Didn't really seem all that fitting with the chapter though.
It was, at least, towards Legion, due to all of their cassette tape add-ons. All of it being themed around the 80’s and what not.
  • It’s one of those perks that causes a lot of debate on the ‘good or bad’ spectrum. Back in the day, yes, it was a ‘crutch’ perk for Killers who may have been new to the game or just had issues keeping gens under control. Fast forward a few years, and now you have a meta where people can finish gens in under 7 minutes...This perk, whether survivors like it or not, is generally a good perk to have in a Killer’s deck these days. It’s essentially a back up plan for Killers who get gen rushed like there’s no tomorrow, which isn’t their fault! And it’s not even the survivor’s faults either, it’s just due to the fact that the game is limited on objectives and only have two things to do: Finish the gens. Get out. It’s like saying adrenaline is a crutch for survivors that don’t know how to avoid chases or tunnelors at end game...There’s nothing bad about it in the end, especially for a hex perk, it’s just...Essential to have an OP perk as a killer. Same as for Survivors, you wouldn’t see a P3 Nea running around with Left Behind, no, you’re gonna see her running the META. And...The same with Killers. In the end, it’s neither anyone’s fault that a perk is OP and if they’re forced to use it, it’s really just the game’s.
  • Technically, Rancor is kind of a buff. If you were to kill your obsession, then the benefits of Rancor draw down to simply only seeing survivors when gens are done. But now, if you were to kill your obsession, say because they were being annoying and or idiotic, you still get a chance to have Rancor take place if another survivor has DS.
  • I like to throw pebbles at people sometimes...Only at end game though, I’m not THAT chaotic
  • Ohmwrecker, just by how calm his streams are generally and the nice atmosphere they give.
  • Wicked was the collection, though it wasn’t really as good as the past few...Jake’s was pretty dope thou.

60 seconds is long as hell. It should be half that.

Sixty seems fair. Again, the new concept of this perk is to clearly deal with tunneling, something that’s common at higher ranks.

Imo the timer for how long it's active to be used after unhooking is too long. If you're seriously getting tunneled that hard, a much lower timer will be effective. At 60 seconds I could literally make it across the map, down and hook someone else, then come back to find them again and they are still in that 60 second window to get the DS on me. That scenario isn't a tunnel and I get punished. I like the change, just lower the timer some so that it really is JUST an anti-tunnel perk, not an immunity for 1 minute perk.

I see what you’re saying, but you also got to take into account towards chases with killers like Leatherface, Legion, or Freddy who might be tunneling and are dead-on your rear end. It’s situational, yeah, but I can see really why it’s that long. I’m sure if it’s seen as too long though, the devs could do something, but I don’t see it as a BIG issue to worry over, especially if they miss.

Well yeah I wouldn't call it BIG either. That said, 40 seconds should be plenty if they are dead on you in that way. If a minute is really needed in that situation then I think that's also an illustration how overly long chases are able to go on in the current meta as if it's really a minute chase that's at least a couple gens worth of time.

Yeahh....At least you don’t have to worry about that though if you just slug and wait for a bit if you somehow know they have it. >:)

But, in the end, we’ll have to see how it works in action, ya know?
  • Honestly? It’s a mix with differences. Survivors generally complain about the game, while Killers complain about individual things from what I’ve seen. Survivors, which you shouldn’t get them wrong on some of this stuff, will generally bring up broken hitboxes, lag switching, Legion (for some reason ((I’m joking, please don’t kill me, Nea mains.)) broken mechanics (like trying to hop through some windows but then get cucked...I don’t know how those work either, it’s happened to me and I wanted to die afterwards.) and other various things. Killers generally just complain about a survivor who looped them for an hour or a SWF group that teabagged, generally just stuff that makes them salty like perks that are OP but...You know, both sides have things that need to be heard, whether or not we want to joke about it. DbD has its issues, and we can only pray that they’re fixed....   :'(
  • At least us killer mains get to bathe in the tears of survivor mains on the forums now :D

We’ve been bathing in it since day one.  :p

  • The idea is so stupid, i mean what if the killer downs you next to a hook since every hook is 16 meters (10m*) apart he can easily dribble you.
The skill check appears as soon as the killer picks up the survivor, rather than what it use to be when they put you on their shoulder. It is also much easier to hit the skillcheck, so the distance doesn’t really matter, it really just now depends on the survivor’s ability to hit a skillcheck and hope RNG is on their side and that the skill check isn’t at the very far end.
  • Old decisive was a means to annoy the killer and avoid death in any situation, which made the game unfun and unfair to killers. The new version of it makes it so that it is still useful, but only in situations in which tunneling would occur. It’s a nerf, sure, but a nerf that was needed for a long time now. I play both killer and survivor and I can honestly tell you that as a survivor who never used DS, I may find myself using it now with the way it works and combine it with breakdown, to make the ultimate anti-tunnel setup. As a killer, I can see this being fair too, you don’t know who has DS anymore with how the new obsession system works, which ultimately ends dribbling and gives both the survivors and killer’s much more time to focus on objectives rather than waste their time being dropped for 20 seconds and having the killer waste their time by dropping a survivor in order to counter an OP perk. Rather than complaining about a perk changing, why not try and find a way to make it work rather than try and bring a crutch back that didn’t help improve you at all in managing to stay alive with a one use perk?
  • Honestly, as someone who plays both killer and survivor, I don’t really see what the big issue is with DS being changed, lmao.
  • I would agree if it weren't for the fact that then the newer players would get stomped by the veteran players. Que times have been atrocious for me as killer (I'm at rank 1 right now) and I normally only have time to play on weekends. I just want faster lobbies at high ranks. Maybe it's just rank reset tho, idk.

    Gemasuda said:
Hate to say it, but new players would be carried if veteran players would be mixed in.  That equals balance.  If it’s a choice between having a few bad games or sitting on a infinite lobby screen, the choice is simple.
I hope you guys know that that still practically happens in today’s current ranking system with how worthless it is towards actually ranking you with someone of the same skill level.

    I love cosmetics. -.-
I love them too, but there’s such a thing called ‘priorities’ that need to be made before having us spend more money on this game when there’s a lot of issues with it currently.
  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:
I think it’s suppose to work like the events prior to Hollowed Blight, where you just focus on objectives rather than objects that are a side-task.

That wasn't my question though, I wanted to know if it's gonna be possible to get all 9 cosmetic pieces by playing just one side.

    Probably not then.
  • Everyone who wants direct buffs or nerfs for Legion hasn't understood the core issue of this Killer.
Either you need some more time till you'll figure it out by yourself or you just don't give a ######### and you will never understand it (or just don't want to understand it).
Oh, I’ve been playing Legion since he came out. I managed to get from rank 15 to rank 4 only playing him alone last season. I got a little lazy and didn’t play the game for a week, but I still managed to get somewhere with him. I was just giving my input on an debate people have been complaining about since he came out. He’s a good killer! It’s just a shame some of his add-ons are useless.

I’m confused now...If Killer’s aren’t allowed to meet one another, how come there’s a future skin idea for Nurse and Wraith coming out? The Devs said that they are a canon ship (at least from what I heard from a video), but this states that they’re not allowed to meet.

Killers most likely do bump into each other from time to time. But there is no emotion for the Entity to really feed off, especially hope. So the Entity most likely whispers for the two to ignore each other.

    Ah! Makes sense!

  • Here’s the issue with this entire post. 1. There was no reason to screenshot that match. 2. It’s not that hard to get 142,000 bloodpoints if you just get a mix-match of perks/add-ons/offerings/items. 3. This clearly shows that the devs have a horrible bloodpoint return system if this is the case, as everything I stated just shows that it takes two simply steps to easily get your points back...
  • The sad part is that there’s nothing Legions could do against this besides either leave the person to find a new prey or just pray that Deep Wound will eventually get the survivor they’re chasing. Bringing Thatanaphobia would make Survivors want to heal against Legion (which is something you DONT want to happen as Legion) and bringing Ruin is a joke these days for killer mains with how quickly totems are gotten rid of due to the crummy totem spawns. Tis sad day
  • Wraith’s new buff is instantly killing people’s games, rather than the player themself. Pretty good buff, might need nerfed though, seems a tad bit OP
  • Monitor is a meta perk for the legion imo. It really helps him out quite a lot. Because when you land a hit in feral frenzy and are in a chase you're TR jumps up to 32m. Helps to tag other survivors. Although it may only jump to 24m? I'm not positive
Gotcha. I hadn’t thought about Monitor at the time of posting this...I have it at tier 3, I just barely use it on other killers besides Myers. I suppose I just goofed when I wrote this and didn’t think about that. Whoops :P
  • lol let's turn the addon into an Ultra Rare Monitor and Abuse.
No. Legion's Terror Radius is more than fine currently and all Iri button needs is to not have the initial stab requirement.

Oh, no, I didn’t want the button’s stats to change at all. I was just saying, the button would probably benefit from a radius change buff for Legion’s base, since it’s barely used due to the stab requirement, but I see what you mean.
  • Use monitor and abuse, makes his terror radius 16m

If you lower his base value then you'll have a real problem with him ambushing every gen. Or if you use bloodhound you could just cheese the chase. Get a hit wait for them to leave area, follow blood trail and ambush with a 8m? TR
It would make the already annoying ######### about him and amplify it tenfold
Ah, I hadn’t thought about Monitor at the time. Good point! :)
  • I think it’s suppose to work like the events prior to Hollowed Blight, where you just focus on objectives rather than objects that are a side-task.
Which means I think tokens for each side..?? I could be wrong though.
  • I think it’s suppose to work like the events prior to Hollowed Blight, where you just focus on objectives rather than objects that are a side-task.
  • Michael has the same movement speed as other killers in Tier 2 and Tier 3, the only difference is that he vaults window slightly quicker, while Tier 1 is just slightly slower. With the Tombstone add-on, he’s also slightly slower than regular, so if anything, Michael’s speed isn’t really that different, but I could see how you’d be confused towards that.
  • You should probably explain and go into detail about these bugs. I’m sure the devs are willing to help out, but it would probably be a good start to tell them what they should fix/look into with more detail.
  • Milo said:

Should it return now that you block recovery when running?

Generally, kneeling down after running doesn’t help one recover at it. In fact, it’s easier to get cramps and it’s harder for the lungs to get more air in if you’re bent over. However, standing sill in place NOT crouched over would make it a bit more realistic, but then again, this is just a game, so anything to help improve exhaustion would be great!
  • I hope everyone has a MORI-Christmas this year! (hehe...puns.)
  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:
Legion is neither weak nor strong. It all depends on the player, really. While I can agree that a small buff would be needed, Legion is far from being weak if you know how to play him correctly and use the right perks and add-ons. Right now, I’ve discovered Frank’s Mixtape and Stab Wound Study are a good combo, as you only need 2-3 feral frenzy attacks to down a survivor rather than the traditional 4-5, and having perks on that increase his interaction speed on certain things

Are you hacking? You realize Killers lose addons after a match right? How you get to have infinite amount? Without add-ons hes trash

The event gives you a ton of add-ons. I’ve gotten like 6 ebony-moris alone just got Legion from this new event, but staying on topic, without add-ons, most killers would be trash, unless if you’re playing Hillbilly,Nurse, or Trapper. Their abilities don’t really rely heavily on add-ons, just quick thinking/pre-planning.
  • I would say either buffing base speed or Frenzy speed would be a good way to buff Legion against players with Sprint Burst, Balanced Lansing, Lithe, etc.
  • The design of the map is beautiful! But even I would agree that this is another map that favors Survivors, but that’s fine to be fair. Killers can use The Game to their advantage, Survivors can use the Ski Resort. I think as of right now though, they’re fixing it, but if it doesn’t really see any changes, it’ll just be another map everyone will have to get use to and try to figure out how to make it work in their favor.
  • After the holidays, presumably, as most of the team is out of the office spending time with their friends and family.
  • Peanits said:
It's a known issue. Unfortunately the team is out of office for the holidays, but it should hopefully be fixed once they're back.
Ah, I had no idea it was a current issue. My mistake.
  • Could you explain how it is bugged? The objective of this daily to work with other survivors in doing objectives, such as working on a gen or healing a fellow survivor up. If it’s not advancing at all from doing any of that, that may be a serious issue, but I haven’t seen any problems with it as of lately!

I’ve only played Legion when he came out, as I’m in a bet to get them, and them alone, to rank 1, and as of right now, I stand at rank 8 after about a week of playing him, so, it all depends on the player and the way they play, not the killer themself. But, we must remember, everyone has their own opinion, and even I could agree that a small buff to his frenzy or speed in general would be nice, but I wouldn’t complain if it never comes.
  • I use to main Michael, but as of now, I’m maining Legion for Killers. He’s a very fun killer and I’ve actually managed to find a good build for him, at least good enough to get me from rank 15 to rank 8 (I’m in a bet rn with a friend to get Legion to rank 1, and only play Legion, so pray for me). For Survivors, I usually either play Dwight or Feng Min, not for their perks, though they both have decent abilities, but more or less because I love their designs and backstory! <3
  • I play both ends, and honestly, the most toxic killer is Leatherface. He’s not fun to play as or play against, and generally, most leatherfaces these days either camp or patrol that ONE survivor they managed to hook, and pray some poor unlucky survivor comes to unhook their friend just to get both of them down. Though, this was just a personal opinion on what I’ve seen :P
  • I’m just waiting for Dwight to finally have a head without his glasses  :p
  • I wouldn’t think it would, it’s not like you’re breaking or abusing any mechanic. It’s really just tunneling, but since that’s not really bannable, go for it??
  • I really like Feng and Dwight’s, they’re quite cute and fitting for the characters!  :)
  • I'm playing freddy with splinter sometimes. It's the funniest thing to destroy some swfs perkless, the salt afterwards is unreal.
Also, the splinters are there to give people a way to test licenced Killers before purchasing them, it's not meant to be a viable thing.
The only change with splinters I want is to give them their 3 teachable perks to play with, so at least it can be used to test perks aswell
I guess that makes sense, but honestly, with all the comments the community gives about him, new people wouldn’t really want to play him lol
