I just wish people appreciate the work they put in for us...The amount of effort that goes into making designs, fixing bugs, creating perks, coming up with ideas for amazing cosmetics, and everything else they do. They’re a hard working team and you don’t see that often these days with some developers...

-
They honestly looked more like slushee machines, but yeah, let’s hope we can all sit by a gen, drink some margaritas, eat some cooked David meat, and enjoy our summer playing some DbD. :chuffed:HeroLives said:

Little known fact, pizzas make a great shield in a pinch.
I would imagine.
Also can someone let me know if the outfit costs shards or not? I'm still currently in exile at home.
400 cells/piece, no shards option

It would be nice to not have to use it if gens weren’t rushed in under 5 minutes, but that’s just because of recent buffs to Prove Thyself and the fact that the devs don’t want to touch toolboxes in fear of Survivor mains screeching at them for doing something about it. I’m sure NoeD would be used less often whenever they establish a new endgame though, but as of now, there’s not much anyone can really do. It is neither side’s fault for how the game currently is, it’s just one of those perks thats needed at higher ranks now. Such as Adrenaline and Decisive being crutches for Survivors, even Killers must go for the same kind of play style if they’re going to want to get anywhere in the current game’s meta.

Ah, I see what you’re saying. Yes, there is no cons to DS, but most perks don’t have a con in this game. It’s not like the Back Scatter for Scout on TF2 or something, no, that’s not how perks work on this game. The only con to using it is that it only works once in game and it takes a perk slot, but other than that, there is no ‘con’ to most perks.Larcz said:I know how fs work and will work after change. But Asume i got this bulid on killer.bbq , nurs calling, noed and enduring. And i got one surv with ds surv got free escape and what killer got from this ther is no any cons for user of ds. -
Ok, here’s how obessions work...Obessions aren’t given to you by the perks you bring most of the time, but rather, is just a random survivor who has obession related perks as well. What happened to you was that they used Decisive Strike, an obsession related perk for Survivors that grants the obession an instant escape, while those who are not the obession must wiggle towards a certain point in order to use it. I would suggest reading this for better clarification:

Oh, that would be just lovely to hear at night...Just playing a nice game of DbD, heard they changed noise notifications but didn’t read the patch notes, nah, you just wanna play! You bring TOTH, don’t want ruin gone so quickly, and suddenly...HGFJFHSBEJXBXN!! You hear the voices of 20 different people just shouting random things into your ear. Long story short, you have a heart attack, you end up dying, and Mathieu comes to your funeral to tell you that you did a pretty good job...tehshadowman33 said:@Chaotic_Riddle said:
Thrill of the hunt should be some sort of animal noise, maybe like a wolf’s howl? The entity whispering one may not work well if someone brings Whispers, but I like the concept!
My thought is that TOTH sound would be much louder, but basically gibberish speak. Like a lot of schizophrenic patients all talking over each other at the same time.

The only way to TRULY balance them is to remove Keys from being obtained from chests and remove the add-on that allows you to keep it if used with hatch. To balance those features out with moris, I would say having to hook a survivor twice or removing Ebony Memento Moris would be fair to balance them together. That is, however, just an opinion.TAG said:I'm all for balancing both Keys and Moris (without flat-out scrapping them, if possible). Hard to say how, though. -
I feel that keys and moris are both generally the same thing, in some ways. Keys deny the Killer the satisfaction in getting 3 or less Survivors killed, while moris deny the satisfaction of Survivors getting to escape in most methods. In a way though, keys are more overpowered in most scenarios. I play both Killer and Survivor, said this before in plenty of threads at this point (
), but there’s an issue with keys. Keys can be found in chests, and any player who brings Plunders or any luck enhancing offering/perk will generally find a purple one, trust me, it’s happen to me WAY more than I can count in both Survivor and Killer matches. I feel that if moris aren’t given in matches by some means besides offerings and two perks, Rancor (which is end game only) and Devour Hope (which can usually be gone at the beginning of the match), then it should go without say that keys should at least be not be given in chests and take away the add-ons that deny the key being consumed if they were to be used to open the hatch. While this is all just an opinion, I will say that keys are a mechanic in the game that just messes with the entire for Killers, but that case also goes for moris with Survivors. It’s hard to favor one side, as both are generally just...Not ok.
-
Yes, kind of? Not all Killers are; I mentioned it before in a previous post, I believe it was relating to who complains the most on the forums, but there’s a general behavior that most Killers are given due to past problems. I stated in that post that Survivors will complain about the way a Killer is and how they work, while Killers complain about the things Survivors do that frustrates them. It’s not generally anyone’s fault how things are with both sides of the spectrum, as there’s always something for someone to complain about in a video game. Someone will complain about something and that’s just how the world works. You can’t play TF2 for 24 hours without seeing at least ONE player complain about the Pyro or lack of skill Demoman players have. The same goes for Dead By Daylight...Survivors will complain about how Legion’s ability is ‘an unfun and unfair mechanic that just consists of another hold M1 scenario that the devs gave that shows how lazy they are’ or Killers complaining about ‘SWF groups are ruining this game because they brought these and it shows that they’re toxic and want to make the game unfun and unfair for all Killer mains’ and so forth. Yes, as a Killer, yet also a Survivor, main, I have complained about SWF groups bringing certain things and have done something that made the game not entirely too fun for me, but is that their fault? No. No, it’s not. It’s how the game is! You don’t buy a game and play to lose; You play to win and have fun. Sometimes, your fun could ruin the fun of other’s, but that’s just how competition works. At the end of the day, maybe Killers are crybabies. Maybe. But that wouldn’t be said that Survivors are crybabies as well. There’s never one equal view that people can have in this world, there will ALWAYS be someone who try to be different and complain or accept something that other’s will view differently too.

@Chaotic_Riddle what system did they introduce? I did not hear anything

They’re testing this new system to see how it works and value feedback about it. Currently, it seems a little buggy for some players and a little ridiculous for others, such as rank 20 killers going against rank 1-3 SWF groups, so your issue may be due to the new system. -
No, no, no. I was referring to someone hacking and deleting your account or stealing it. I would NEVER suggest hacking the game to do that. The only way to get bloodpoints back is getting a ticket and asking customer service from having one of those issues I listed above happen to you.Mr_Black said:@Chaotic_Riddle said:
Nope. The only way to get your bloodpoints back from all the progress you made is to either have your account hacked, bloodpoint disappearance from a bug, or having the game wipe all your character’s levels and bloodpoints away from a weird glitch. So I'd have to hack... I'm on Xbox...
-
It may be due to the new matchmaking system they implemented yesterday. It could also be due to the fact that survivors are mostly playing in SWF groups more than ever before and it could just be difficult to find players who are close to your rank and skill level. That’s only my theory to your problem though.

If that were the case, people would cheese chases with the moonwalk exploit, like Legion has. It sounds good in theory, but it could lead to a lot of issues. If you want more pressure on gens, bring ruin, overcharge, or thanatophobia. If you want faster movement speed outside of chases, bring Play With Your Food. There’s not really much to be said though, it’s just one of those things that may not be executed well...

A lion’s head on a bird sounds like the opposite of a gryphon...Hmmmm, mayhaps this new character is Greek or Egyptian?brokedownpalace said:Looks like the head of a lion on a bird maybe?

If that were the case, then Devour Hope would be useless...

-
Just pull out ol’ reliable whenever you see a SWF group and one of them has Object of Obession...

-
Don’t guard, but rather, just let it sit wherever it is. The purpose of the hex is to slow the game down, whether it be all match or just the beginning. Killers need as much time as they can get, and when combined with Thatnatophobia (I probably butchered that), it can make it very useful to keep gens under control for a portion of the match. It’s a matter of chance, but even when a survivor is cleansing it, you gotta know that just by simply doing that, they’re wasting 12 seconds that could’ve gone into starting up a gen early match.

I forget sometimes that the killer mask DLC was a thing...How cosmetics have changed. Still, I like to think that a community event sometime in the future would be great for the community to bond together and not complain about meta and what not, and just have some creativity and ideas spread on new outfits and other various things for the characters in this amazing game!Peanits said:
That is correct. The trapper's Rogi mask was made by a community member and later added to the game.Orion said:They have, actually. If memory serves, one of the first Trapper masks ever was community-made. The devs bought the design from its creator to be put into the game as an alternate skin.

Unfortunately, yes. They get points for this and it’s stupid and annoying. I would suggest that any survivor who is downed in less than 3 seconds after being unhooked should cause the ‘rescuer’ to lose a certain amount of bloodpoints, but who knows.Kikki said:
Can they even get points when I die direct after?Peasant said:@Kikki said:
When somebody hook farmed me,I let me die because they got 0 Points for safe hook.So ... why farming ?There is a perk called We're Gonna Live Forever that grants its user a bonus to all BP at the end of the match. They get +25% to the multiplier for each Unhook, or Protection score event.

Yeah, don’t worry, you’re not the only one going through this. I’m sure the devs will either fix this or say it’s part of a new and improved ‘matchmaking system’ that totally isn’t a bug and just wants to have new Killers see what they’re signing up for in Dead By Daylight.Apparently they are collecting data. You can see it at the top of the general discussions page in bright ass green.
