  • The first division was...Ehhh...It was honestly a bore after an hour. The new one looks ok, but I’m just not sure if I’ll get it due to first impressions from the original game.

  • It was updated in a way that seemed a bit confusing for us to understand, but I’m sure the devs needed it for info? Basically, lower ranks were paired with higher ranks to put it simply. Whether or not it’s still going on like that is unknown at the moment.

  • Survivors and Killers are given equal amount of bloodpoints per match if they don’t bring offerings or perks that affect them. The only reason it’s hard to tell is due to the fact it’s easier for Killers to achieve full bloodpoints compared to Survivors, as the Survival task for Survivors is generally the hardest to fully max out.

The map is suppose to make it difficult for Killers, but not impossible. Just like how The Game is difficult for Survivors, everyone needs a map that challenges themselves! Just keep playing and I’m sure you’ll get better, man! We’re always here to give you suggestions and help out. :chuffed:

How is The Game still difficult for Survivors? It's got a lot of safe pallets that make up for the terror radius extending to both floors.

Very little room to run around, corners for the Killer to come around instantly, A LOT of corners to get yourself stuck in if you’re not paying attention, the cursed bathroom, and the very little space given at the exit gates. It’s not a bad map! It’s my personal favorite too as a Survivor, but it’s a challenge for some as it favors the Killer more in terms of mind-gaming and locations.
  • There will be a special stream coming this Monday! :chuffed:

  • They’re hosting a special stream this Monday.
  • I think it’s because they’re not technically losing hope, as they managed to free themselves without the help of other’s, if we had to look at it from a realistic standpoint. Though, the real reason it may not work gameplay wise? Who knows, I wouldn’t think it’s a bug though. But againnnnn, who knowsssss.

  • Maps take time to release and generally come out with new DLCs. Those aren’t bad ideas though! But it would take a lot of time and effort into making new maps that aren’t dedicated to a DLC.
  • Coming...To a Summer near you.

Sorry to say, but it happens typically when you have a good killer that can get them down fast and efficient. XChrisx, then you're someone that I'm talking to. You choosing to [BAD WORD] or not isn't just on you, it ruins the whole game and puts the rest of your team at a disadvantage because you decided you wanted to wuss out of a game. You deserve to be banned for doing so. And Chaotic_Riddle, it's really not that hard to detect in most cases, and when you have video proof, or their word specifically, that should give that person a ban. At least a temp ban.

It’s hard to trust someone’s word for a group of people who deal with reports like this and many other’s all the time. And anyone can DC against any killer. If you were to get video proof of the same person DCing against you or maybe friends if you all played the same killer, then maybe it could work in getting them a temporary ban, but the chances of that happening are slim. If the issue progresses, the devs could look into it, but as I said, there’s not much they can do with how the game is currently, but I’m not denying your suggestion or saying ‘bans for DCs shouldn’t happen’, but I’m just simply saying what my thoughts are on it, if that’s alright.
  • I see you’ve been playing Legion a lot...Lemme tell ya, you get use to it, but I’m sure the devs are still working hard at making sure the banning system is well in affect. You gotta keep in mind that they have to deal with a lot, and it’s not uncommon for people to DC. I would think that the reason this isn’t entirely focused on is due to the fact that it may be hard to tell what is a legitimate DC VERSUS someone’s game crashing. It’s also to go without saying that it’s hard to track who purposely kills themselves on hook, due to the fact that it’s very easy for people’s hands to get tired out from spamming space, and people trying to get off the hook is also something to consider. It’s an iffy topic, but if the issue continues on more and more, it would probably be something for them to focus on in the future, but unfortunately, that time isn’t now with how the game currently is with the stuff I listed above.

  • Spine Chill, You know if the Killer is approaching
Any perk that gives Survivors a speed boost
Unbreakable, if the Killer is slugging with NoeD
Tenacity, recovering quicker for your teammates to get you during or after NoeD if Killer leaves you
Maps, which could be used to find totems and exit gates quicker
Flashlights/Firecrackers, which can be used to save a Survivor whose being chased or was downed by a Killer with NoeD
Urban Evasion/Iron Will/Quick and Quiet/No Mither, to sneak around the map at end game without having the Killer spot/hear you as easily
Borrowed Time, which denies the Killer an insta-down from any hooked Survivors saved by the perk.
Decisive Strike, current and future version will still waste Killer’s time and give you an easy escape.
Empathy/Alert/Dark Sense/Object of Obession, which helps plan out your escape better by knowing where the Killer is for a certain amount of time/all time with some of these.
Pallets, to easily loop or stun a Killer during End-Game, if you and your teammates haven’t wasted all of them.
Small Game, which is everyone’s go-to Perk to callout towards NoeD counter, but it still a counter nonetheless in helping find totems easily.

Dunno why I love playing killer haha.
You could try Huntress, once you get good at hatchet throws you can ignore debris loops.

. . . Or you could join the Legion.

This is the official response that our Designer team gave when I ask the question.

DS change happened, how about NOED changes?

We aren't planning to change NOED at the moment. We consider that NOED has multiple gameplay counters and is currently in a good place. We do not think of NOED as an equivalent to DS.

not_Queen, coming in to save the day as usual

Fire It Up and Agitation would be solutions. Fire It Up helps improve the speed at which Killers pick a Surivor up, and since the D-Strike happens when the pick up animation begins, the bonus speed will be useful. With Agitation, you can get a bit of distance to try and make sure they’re at least outside of the exit. I would also say that bringing Blood Warden would MAYBE be useful, but that’s a 50/50 shot.
I'm not sure how Fire Up or Agitation are supposed to help here.  If D-Strike procs during the pick up process, does that not mean they (can) free themself before you actually start to move the Survivor?  My understanding was that with the new D-Strike, a Survivor would be able to free themself before a Killer even has a chance to do anything.
From what I’ve read, the D-Strike is still the same in which it has a skill-check. The solution here that I’m saying is that Fire It Up would give you just a SMALL bit of time to move maybe a few inches, but combine it with agitation and you could make those few inches a bit longer and manage to possibly get that trapped survivor out of the exit gate to run around and go find either a Jigsaw Box or the Hatch. This is just a theory though, as we can’t test it out until the PTB comes out, but it seems like a plausible answer to your issue. I’ll try to test it out with a friend of mine when the PTB comes out, if you wish.

It does still have a Skill Check, yes, but the Skill Check was moved to happen sooner so a Survivor can escape before they can be dribbled.  Presumably, this means that a Killer isn't going to be able to move before they get stunned by D-Strike.

All that being said, I'd still appreciate it if you could test this out on my behalf (as I play on console and don't have access to the PTB) in case I am mistaken.
I’ll see what we can do then!  :)

  • I’m sure it’ll be fixed soon, especially with the rework coming to Decisive Strike and the Obession mechanic.
  • Seems neat! But there’s a section of the forums called ‘Fan Creations’ that this should be in, but still, seems interesting.
  • I don’t know, it seems pretty funny...Someone’s trying to loop and then suddenly they’re in a locker, then next they’re out, then you both kind of look at each other awkwardly.
  • Not killing survivors is NOT bannable, so don’t worry, just have fun!
  • @Nickenzie We’re Legion, we’re one.

  • Amen to that, brother.

  • The Doctor is the only Killer whose seen an entire match...The flashlights burning his eyes, the teabagging behind pallets, the blood covering his eyelids as he is forced to watch every single moment. Dear God...

  • Just gonna make our calling card the 50th comment to this thread.

Don't be foolish. Get rid of Coldwind to nerf survivors more.
More game maps to killers get 4K everytime. k

  • That would be nice to see! Like killing a certain amount of Survivors or saving a certain amount of fellow Survivors! Iridescent Shards would be a great reward for them too!

Save files are not saved locally anymore, they are stored in the backend and have been for quite a while now. You cannot just swap out your save file for someone else's anymore.

You may have a copy of it in your files, but it will not do anything.

This has been the case since 7.3.2018, however..

There still is a way I have seen people with Steam accounts created in May 2018 and after having legacy clothing in-game.

No idea how that's done with save file being in the cloud server and never touching your local hard drive.
Maybe the server accepts specific requests to the save file or you can alter it on first time you launch your game if it checks for existing save files on your local hard drive.

I believe it was by messing around with the game files, AKA technically hacking to obtain them and is a bannable offense, such as Noob3 got for doing the same thing.
  • Ah, so it would stop the negative affects caused by say...Ruin or Thanatophobia?

  • You have to constantly keep tapping. I think that’s why I left the Xbox version for the PC version...It’s easier to tap space rather than a hard round button made of...Marble, I think? I’m probably an idiot but that stuff gets tiring to keep hitting and if you pause for one split second, you’re dead.
