  • There was once someone who had a joke thread about nerfing Leatherface. I thought it'd be hilarious if I jumped in and baited people pretending to be a killer main going off on this noob survivor about how stupid he was.

Long story short, everyone thought I was serious and that I completely missed the point of the thread, and I've never tried to bait since.
  • @Milo - Thats fine. None of my business. Thats all on you. MY issue is when a daily ritual says unhook 3 ppl with Nea or Jake or any particular survivor. Whats the point of that. I get that killers need to be specified. You can't very blink 3 times with hillbilly or catch 3 ppl in beartraps with nurse... But survivors? I mean seriously. Just leave it open to player preference.

It's to encourage you to play other survivors than the one you have everything stacked on. Wouldn't be much of a challenge otherwise. Whenever I find myself faced with a particularly annoying ritual for a survivor I haven't leveled I just skip it, no biggie. I like being forced to play other survivors now and then, because without the daily rituals I never would, so I like them the way they are.
  • Used to, until wraith got his rework. Now that he's viable, I'm sticking with him alllllll the way. But I do have my clown p3 with a bit of experience. I have two big tips,

    1. Hitting people with bottles and hitting them while they're intoxicated gives extra points and

    2. Don't be afraid to use a bottle even if it won't guarantee a hit, you should NOT underestimate his damage cancelation ability. Keeping them intoxicated while you hop through their strong window with bamboozle makes a huge difference

+1 These que times are really ruining the experience right now.

If they literally just allowed survivors to collect bloodpoints with vials after 30 this ENTIRE problem would be fixed. Being unable to go past 30 is the whole reason killer que's are ridiculous right now. This isn't mentioning how everyone's got petal offerings that are totally worthless stacked in their inventory because of that 30 limit. They seriously need to hotfix this and solve the problem.

Ooooor, just make it so that killer isnt so much more time consuming to get in the first place so the people who are doing killer first can finish and switch to survivor.
  • The last option is the best, they tried to make it considered one to pseudo buff botany knowledge and give nurses calling a use on doctor, but they really just made it needlessly complicated.
  • I can't even tell whether or not this is satire.
  • And his noble steed? Maurice.
  • I like it a lot. Plus survivors would finally stop complaining about BBQ if they had the choice to cancel the aura from it.

Ooooh, just you wait, you poor, innocent, sweet soul.

so your saying that it will never get better as a survivor and i should suck it up and get the huge queue time for killer ?

Oh survivor gets much better. If you want you can add me on steam and you can join my stacked group right now. But once people get really experienced killer can be really frustrating to play. Right now the queue is bad because of the event, where more survivors need to play killer to get their nectar.
  • Ooooh, just you wait, you poor, innocent, sweet soul.
  • One time I loaded into a two man game. I was just messing around, wasn't going to kill anyone, but someone led me there so I decided to run around and see how long it would take me to catch the guy.

The gates were powered before I downed him with NOED.
  • LOL.

New Halloween movie is awesome btw. All you Myers fans should check it out.

I agree, great movie. After watching a few movies, you really begin to appreciate how well implemented myers is into dbd.

@Cetren said: Please, I'm almost halfway done with my survivor vials, getting nectar as killer is a pain in the ass.  You are ignoring the entirety of the post by saying this. He is trying to explain how once survivors fill all of their vials, they can no longer even harvest the plants for the points that the offering offers. There are currently 11 days left in the event, and every survivor that has their vial done can no longer participate in the ectra points that the offerings make available.

You still get the points from completed as long as you burn the offering. Except you don't even have to do any of the work, just sit back and let the people who haven't done their nectar do the job for you. I fail to see how this is somehow more difficult than working your way to a bunch of sporadically spawned hooks, or sacrificing two perks slots to reach them at the cost of your abilities.

So explain to me what happens when a full lobby of survivors who have already gotten their 30 vials play a game...

I will personally pay you 10 dollars if you randomly queue up with four survivors who have all their vials 2 days into the event.

A lot of my friends play mostly survivor and have already hit the cap.

Notice I said randoms, queue up solo, burn your offerings, farm them, and rake in the blood points.

This guy is legit arguing against something that would only benefit him. Some people really deserve everything they get in life

A crap ton of bloodpoints, amazing cosmetics for free, and a great event with almost no flaws? You flatter me way too much good sir.
  • It's not really your choice to be in the terror radius at that point though, nor is it risky for you whatsoever.
  • I, for one, would love to see cross play, it will never happen for a few reasons.

1st is the fact that Bill is on PC and that BHVR doesn't have the rights for him on console, he's a steam exclusive.

Additionally, it would involve bringing all clients in sync with each other, as well as set up their own servers since Sony does not have cross platform support.

    TL;DR, it's not happening.

I don't understand what the issue is here? Why do so many killers have an issue with survivors being able to continue to harvest flowers (without getting extra vials) after their initial 30? Can survivors participate in the event for its entire duration too? Killers can continue to get their 5.5k point hooks after they get their initial 30 vials, so why cant survivors? Is it just that they are the other side? We can't all have an enjoyable time?

Because then you're stealing nectar from survivors who still need it because you wanted a few bloodpoints, which is incredibly selfish and unnecessary for the event.

Okay so first of all, You still fail to see our point. I did not mention one thing about one being easier than the other in that post above. Second, Yeah and what happens when there are 7 plants to be harvested courtesy of the 5 offerings possible and all 4 survivors have their 30 Vials completed. Survivors won't get jack because the game will not let survivors harvest when completed. On top of that, even if the killer got his 30 vials completed, he is still able to hook survivors on event hooks and get the bonus points while survivors are not able to participate.

No, I see your point perfectly, the problem is its terrible. There are way too many people who play this game for everyone to have maxed their vials that quickly that you wouldn't be able to get ANYTHING from your offerings. Plus there are people playing killer that are going to ditch to get their suruvir vials once their killer vials are full, plus there's going to be peoppe getting a late start on the event, so theres going to be a constant influx of people needing survivors vials who are able to get their flowers for you.

  • There's just a larger than average group of people playing killer because you have to in order to get all your vials. Nothing more nothing less I'd assume.

Where have you been when they released the bare chest skin for David?

    Can´t remember any complaints.

Okay dude, I see what you're saying, and i have a lot of respect for you on the forums, but the OP has addressed that many, many times already. They've already admitted it's a mature game thats going to have mature elements, but that a skin as open as the spirits shouldn't be the base skin, where you have to pay to put some actual clothes on her.

Her chest is covered. Unlike the Hags chest. No one complains about the hag. Might be because she looks like grandma tho...
Anyway, i suppose the devs could release a new skin for her. Where she wears a t-shirt or something. Free of charge, so everyone who feels offended can cover her. But everyone who wants to play with her standard skin, should be allowed to do this.

Btw, i don´t know where you people live, but here where i live, i see young women on the street which are equally revealing with their clothing choice.

The OP also addressed that as well, but I'm not going to restate all the arguments, you can read through the thread. In any case, I will allow myself the distinction that I'm not one of those offended by pixels, I just think that there's nothing wrong with wanting a costume with a different design than, well, a couple of pixel cloth threads. If they really are just pixels, it wouldn't be that hard to make it more like the wraith's pixel cloth trousers, a complete article of clothing.

  • While I heavily disagree with your approach to the nudity, being highly conservative, I do find her being scantily clad rather annoying and pointless. Like, just take a page out if the wraith book and make the bindings on her body tighter and more complete. It's not like the OP is being that big of a baby.
  • You can use it. And you get blood points from it. Plus if you're full on nectar, you have more time to grab the high BP objects in game like gens and totems while everyone else gets the plant, feeding you the BP for harvesting without the work. Even if it's only you burning the offering that's an extra 12k per match.
  • No, they're going away at the end of the event.
  • The ban threshold is pretty high with DC's. I also had less then suitable wifi, and it works fine but when it gets a hiccup, let's say theres some less than pleasurable comments to be made to me. I wouldn't worry about getting banned though, as long as it's just isolated incidents.
  • And then some after you have all the perks too.
  • I don't understand, you want, let me get this straight, *less* ways to obtain the cosmetics?
  • It's literally half a game dude. You can demand compensation when you lose thousands of hours of progress, complaining about 7k BP is just dumb.
  • It wouldn't be that bad if there weren't nectar hogs running around absorbing every last drop of nectar before you can get anywhere.
  • If you want my advice, leave your computer running and go make a sandwich.

Camping is punishable as long as you don't engage the Killer.
Going for the easier target (what you call "tunneling") is just common sense. Would you work on a generator until it's at 33% and then go find one that's at 0%? No, you would not.

    This ^^

Killeen loses points for camping, if survivors aren't near the hook.

Also just replace the word tunneling with common sense.
  • I just think it's absolutely ridiculous that you're expecting the devs go give you them for free. Like, never, not once, did they ever say youd be able to get all the skins. They never said that these would even be in unlockable at all for free. You just assumed they would let you have them, and now you're pissed off at your own failed expectations. You're probably one of those people that goes and yells at a 16 year old when your burger comes out wrong too, because you're expecting Gorden ######### Ramsey to make it. Learn expectation management, you were not cheated in any way, there was no bait and switch, because they never hinted at or implied the skins would be free, ever.
  • Let's toast to the glorious hallowed blight event!
  • The problem with having a casual mode is that the devs would then have to flesh out the entire ranked mode, or else nobody would play it. And if there was a casual mode, it wouldn't lead to exactly why most people derank in the first place, roflstomping just about anyone you come across. Or, in the event that this casual mode becomes popular enough, there will be more than enough vets in the pool to make it so that you'll still hit the good, salty, try hard that are at high ranks right now who are derankijg to get easier matches. I can see why people would want one, but it's not fixing any of your problems.
  • Also if a survivor messes up a skill check before they are fully pulled into the dream world the transition will cancel and they will not fall asleep.
  • Eh, I disagree. This pretty much means that after you're hooked twice, sabotage, DS, flashlights, bodyblocking, wiggling, and other strategies to try to stay in the game become useless. The game is over as soon as that down happens. Nothe something I'd go for.
  • What the fellow Dwight main said.
  • I think it's pretty simple, it makes perk levels 1 and 2 playable. There was almost no point before. It wasn't even that significant of a change either, so I'm not sure why everyone is up in arms about it.
  • I'd expect it to get reworked eventually like tinkerer. Tbh, I'd like to see it do something entirely different than the heartbeat. Maybe something like when someone is on the hook you get a move speed bonus and attack cooldown reduction
  • I agree, wraith is just the best, and he's gotten an addon touch up too! It's nice to be zooming around the map like Billy but with more control and no TR, or grab sometime off something because there was no bell sounds. It's super pleasing to see him get a touch up.
