literally for seeing me with P3 Myers. I'm not even that good of a killer anymore.

I had a similar scenario where I loaded into a game with unlimited tier 3 and tombstone and a build to slow down gens. Went straight to shack saw two people at a chest and one DC.

I dont think he saw me but he was my obsession which screwed their team with dying light lol

  • Was looking through here to find my fellow Irish brothers. Sadly there isn't any :(

They might remove the Tiers, at least during the past Patches they readjusted Perks so that they function the same on every Level, just with minor differences. Before that, only certain Perks were really good at Tier 1, like Adrenaline.

What would also be possible: Leveling Perks by playing. So you can get Tier 1 Lithe in the Bloodweb and Tier 2 and Tier 3 need to be unlocked by triggering Lithe X times. Maybe there can be one way of leveling up with "Endurance" which means that a certain action needs to be performed X times to level up and another way, where it is more skillful.

I mentioned this before in another thread. I would like to be able to grind out my perks rather than spend a bunch of points trying to find them.

It would make players use new builds in order to upgrade their perks which would be interesting.

  • Don't use a fountain because she is easy to loop. Getting hit with corrupt purge is your own teams fault.

  • Would love to have urban evasion removed. Hate seeing it as survivor and killer.

  • I know a few friends dodge because of keys and maps. They hate seeing maps especially because the totem won't last any time.

It's not that the killer would open the exit gates, it's that if the killer couldn't open the exit gates, survivors could avoid the Collapse mechanic by 99% the exits and then just popping them open whenever they pleased, thus defeating the purpose of the Collapse mechanic.

Yea I assumed the same thing

  • Poised. Great for chases and doing gens

DS helps, if you use it correctly. MoM in my rework idea, would be balanced but making it situational and only for unhooking is a bad idea, since if they got STBFL, you're going down instantly.

I just don't think it's worth the body block. Most people don't run self care and the body block won't save the survivor unless everyone joins in.

I just don't see a reason to run it personally. It does encourage body blocking which is good but pointless body blocking isn't a good thing.

I don't run it now but if I could save someone from a face camper I would.

  • @Poweas it actaully has a purpose with this change. It protects someone saving another from the hook. Like ds is now for anti-tunnelling this is for that hook save when a killer is camping the hook.

At the minute unless I'm forgetting a perk there really isn't a perk to help against camping killers for the unhooking survivor. If you want to add that killers can't grab survivors while they are doing the save then it has a useful purpose.

  • Shrine needs to be changed soon. I've practically forgot it existed at times since it was moved to the store. There are too many perks in the game at the minute

  • Survivors should not be able to do nothing and still get the hatch. I don't want people hiding the whole game only to get the hatch for doing nothing.

The killer camping the hatch and not closing it should also not be a thing.

I think both of these need to be addressed. Maybe the last survivor needs to have a certain amount of points before the hath spawns and the killer should automatically close the hatch when within 16m of it for 30 seconds.

  • It's main problem is prolonging a chase. I think it should be only 2 hits but will only activate when within 8m of a hooked survivor. It doesn't prolong a chase but only works when going for a save.

How dare you ruin such hard-kept secrets by leaking such obviously real future content.

I'm so sorry. I'm just really excited for the new chapter. Wonder who the killer is? Neptune or Plankton?

  • I found some screenshots, developer close discussion and name it Photoshop, they want to make us silent or it's really fake?

    Just as fake as this

  • I'd say blood warden is getting changed to activate instantly after the doors have been opened. Making end game builds very strong.

  • Yea this is pretty brutal. I actually thought I had put it onto the desktop version by mistake.

I really liked the last one in the end but the sizing right now is atrocious

  • sketch-1555625980498.png

    Found another accidental leak lol

  • If you hit a survivor during the entity kill animation with Franklin's demise make them lose their item? Well done btw on the changes.

    Wishful thinking!

    1. This will promote survivors hiding to force killer to disconnect, so no.
    2. I highly doubt they will change it so much.

The next patch as you saw with Legion rework is meant to treat the causes of the survivor disconnects. I don't think they will change the end game too much, I think it's just a pretense to nerf noed. We'll see.

I made a pretty good guess lol

I had initially planned on him to return to where he was when he assumed control of the Survivor. I'll stick with that for now.

Just don't bring Hex perks :^) nobutreally similar to how Hex: Haunted Grounds is hindered without other hexes, bringing hexes with Absent Actor would just not be a good strategy. If you need to slow the game down further, just bring Corrupt Intervention instead of Ruin.

I may decrease the time in which they have to be in the terror radius, but I don't want to make it too good. The time could be made less of a hindrance with Distressing, since you don't have to be as close to count the seconds down.

Which maps only have 4 pallets? That seems ridiculously inaccurate. There seems to always be an infinite supply of pallets. However, I can change it to 1/2/3 pallets, with the shack pallet being the 4th instead of the 5th. Doesn't really address your issue but it's better than nothing. I can experiment with the idea of accomplishing other actions during the match to remove pallets across the map, so like, every time you sacrifice a Survivor one or two random pallets break or something, or maybe the first time you sacrifice a Survivor, 3 pallets break. You get the idea.

Vanishing Trick is definitely very situational: Especially considering using it "effectively" would overall lower the time you waste on the killer since you'd have to throw it before a loop, but also not camp it. It's more for a very clutch moment that only comes so often, where you're in lunging distance but also in pallet distance, so the killer would lunge if there's no pallet, but wouldn't if there was one. It could make fake debris on the ground, although that seems hard to calculate how it would work. I'll keep looking in this one.

Since I made the Killer's perks so good, I felt like I would have to even the odds by dropping a really good Survivor perk, just to prevent too much whining. Anyway, using Exposed also makes it harder to build Mettle of Man stacks. Although, it is true that in a 4-man SWF all it takes is one person with the info to make life impossible for the killer. SWF ruins everything in this game :/ I did just realize something though. By complete accident in design, I just realized Role Call acts as a great counter to Exposed as long as the Exposed individual is close. Survivors should also have some sort of symbol by their name so the killer can see if they're running the perk.

Well, that's how the perk is designed. Use your flashlight to cheat the killer out of a kill, and you can also cheat death. Free escapes for everyone! Well, two of you at least. I think it's fine as is, although the criteria is a little easy as long as your team follows the usual rules, so I might actually change it to make it more extreme.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm always looking for ways to improve my writing.

That should work mate. Just a little detail I wanted to know because it could have made him very strong otherwise.

I might be wrong but I think the minimum pallets for a map is 8. Can be more but I think the minimum it can be is 8. Would you run Absent Actor over Ruin? Because i personally dont think i would for that amount of time with it only affecting one person.

Exposed probably needs a complete rework mate. It's a OP version of object of obsession and you wouldn't need Mettle of Man because you'll never be found. Roll Call is only a good counter if your close for 15 seconds. I'm a survivor main so I'd love this lol but I'd never play killer again. I had to completely change one of my perks in my chapter because it was OP but it's your chapter mate this is just my opinion.

Next to create is add-ons so have fun with that. Once again good chapter mate

  • I'm going to guess after the gens are completed it will either be one of two things.

    1. Survivors will only have 2 minutes to escape before the doors become permanently blocked.

    2. After the gens are completed survivors need to collect parts to build the exit door panel to then open it.

  • I really like the idea mate. Want to ask where does the puppeteer turn up after he has lost control of the survivor? If he turns up right next to the survivor then he may need to wait a few seconds to attack the survivor.

He will be weak against swf I think due to the fact people can say he is controlling them, unless they are made to spectate the rest of the team instead.

Absent Actor: Is weak because that survivor will just go around cleansing totems. Which will definitely get all hex totems (Ruin) extremely quick. Have it affect 2 survivors would be better.

Roll Call: Brilliant against urban evasion survivors. I don't think it will be a top tier perk because it would waste to much time trying to find them. Would work well with whispers.

Set The Stage: No, sorry but some maps have max 4 pallets and this would just be way too strong.

Vanishing Trick: I don't think it is that good. If a killer sees a survivor looping nothing they'll know their is a pallet. Also the ground will show that the pallet hasn't been destroyed. Good at low ranks but not at high ranks.

Exposed: Is OP in a swf team. Even a solo survivor can hide from the killer extremely easy with this perk.

Justice: I like the idea of not dying on third hook and that's why the conditions are so extreme. Thing is the conditions are too extreme for me personally.

Overall really like the chapter and you have done really well with it mate. Hope I gave you good enough feedback.

Also @JAWS_BDSM it was my chapter you were getting confused with. I think there are like 3 chapters on here atm with puppet related killers.

In several ways, including but not limited to:

    1. mass disconnecting and leaving solo at the mercy of the killer
    2. using the solo as a sacrificial lamb/sandbag
    3. letting the solo hang out to dry (especially because eh you’re not in the group who cares.)
    4. just the fact that swf have triple the power of the solo and have more perks at their disposal just as a swf than a solo can use at once.
    5. solos are often just left holding the bag

It’s very rare when a swf looks out for the solo.

Haven't experienced much of these to be honest. The top one is probably the most common but I think the worst thing swf can do to solo survivors is make a killer more toxic. Sometimes if a killer sees a swf they will bring a mori or just camp because the rest of the team qere toxic to them.

  • @pemberley said:

    Survivors:

    1. Solos being screwed by swf
    2. Tunneling
    3. Camping

    Killers:

    1. Swf having far too much power
    2. Gen rush
    3. Map size, which relates to too many jungle gyms and extended chases which hurt killers negatively affected by MoM.

    Both:

Using bloody party streamers leads to the opposite side playing like jerks and denying bp.

Solos being screwed by swf? In what way

Like you said, that can be countered by slugging. When a survivor makes the selfish decision to unhook a teammate before I've even had a chance to leave, i feel bad putting them right back on the hook. I'll slug them and go after the selfish one.

Sometimes it's unfortunate as killer because you dont mean to find them so fast but it happens. If I do get hit by ds I don't care because it's my fault for chasing them so soon after the unhook. I try and 3 hook everyone as best as I can but if I down someone 3 times really early in the game I'll just leave them and let them be healed.

I had a game the other day where someone was unhooked infront of me with corrupt purge. Downed them both instantly and even though I had a mori I felt bad and left the unhooked survivor on the ground to be healed.

  • The reason for an anti-tunnel perk is because the killer tunnels. 60 seconds is long but can be countered by slugging.

I love the new ds, tunneling and camping has been a problem in dbd for so long and finally there is a perk that helps the survivor in this situation.

  • @Orion I'm happy I'm not the only one who made the bill mistake. I also assumed it was a trick question.

Either way @AlwaysInAGoodShape its a really fun quiz. Make another one again soon mate

  • All rank resets do is pair up good survivors with garbage ones. Why would we want to sit in a lobby with survivors that are forever lost in the sauce?

It is for survivors/killers who haven't played in a while can get reset to lower ranks. Being rusty at red ranks would be brutal.

Also yea it helps reset the game because if you were just stuck at rank 1 once you got there you would leave the game very very quick. We do have to remember the survivors at those ranks also reset as well.

  • When the matchmaking is fixed and you find lobbies extremely quick then it won't matter if you get dodged because your not waiting an hour like I was tonight.

This is coming from someone who was dodged 4 times in a row during that time.

  • Oh how times have changed. Wish I had been playing during this

  • Basement Party: (Hidden UR) There will be 2 basements in the next trial. Maps with only one basement cannot be chosen. Number of basement hooks decreased to 2.

  • Ruin doesn't last long but also shouldn't last the whole game. What if it lasted 4 mins and wasn't a hex totem? Long enough that the killer has time to get a few hooks but also isn't lasting the whole game.

But as for your question no it shouldn't be part of the base kit because it will just destroy lower ranks.

  • Basically. The bloodweb only gives tier 1 perks. However once you have bought a perk you may spend bloodpoints to directly upgrade it.

Really good idea. I think it would be cool if once you unlock a perk you get challenges to tier it up.

  • On a few occasions I've let the best player of a really bad team live. If I can see a team basically doing nothing but one trying to do everything I might let them live.

Also I let a new survivor at 5% trophies on dbd live after rank reset because I felt bad after seeing how new they were.

  • @T0xicTyler the grind is really long when you have all the perks unlocked. If you want all the perks in the game on 1 character you basically have to get all the perks 3 times in the blood web which is a lot of points to spend. And that's only if you have all the teachables unlocked, it's even longer trying to get the teachables as well.

I like the grind otherwise but it's a long grind if your not playing every day.

@LCGaster I really like the idea of having more than 2 perks in the blood web. They could even change it to allow someone to grab both perks before the entity is summoned.

  • Why haven't the devs put a lock on such add-ons or perks when there are these sort of bugs. When a bug like the mending on is this bad it should be locked until it's fixed. They should have also done this with sloppy butcher on wraith when people were crashing over it.

They did this with Mount Ormond Resort and I believe they should do this more often.

  • @PinkEricka I have to agree with you on this. Mettle of man has been the main topic of the forums the past 2 weeks and that doesn't even include the "why I'm leaving the game" stuff which from what I've seen has mainly been killers saying this.

Add to this the whole DS is op and really that's all we see. I saw the NOED thread earlier but that's the first NOED thread I've seen in a long time.

  • If people aren't on the forums they may not know about this. It still says to report dc after the game so this should be removed.

Show it in the news section for new players to learn and remove it from that particular reporting section.

False assumption, between the DS rework and MoM release I played every single killer in rotation. I versed a lot of different killers aswell. Try again.

I dont know if your PC or console but on console its Billy at high ranks. Half of the games are Billy and if you ask any survivor mains on console they will say the same. Not everyone is Billy but at least half are.

I don't care if MoM is changed because I dont even run it but some people are complaining about it even if they haven't been truly affected by it. Hating on MoM is now the popular thing on the forums.

  • @MegsAreEvil said:

As if nurse would have a problem with MoM - lol. the just hit them again after two blinks and thats it. Since the perk came out i dont see any issues with MoM at all. Most killers dont care for that additional hit. Altough the perk isnt that much played how killer want to tell us.

How many more MoM is OP threads will there be? There are 3 or 4 new threads every day. I'm a survivor main and I stopped running it because I hardly got using it.

Also the number of Billy's that are in this game haven't increased because of MoM. At high ranks Billy is always there, regardless of MoM or not. MoM could get nerfed and people will still complain that they are forced to play Billy and Nurse.

  • When a survivor dcs then the rest of the team are pretty much dead and if a killer dcs survivors can lose all points in the trial.

At least killers get something for a dc and it makes the game easier for them depending on how quick they do it

  • @drunky26

Some people in this game are sad. I've got to the point where at least 10 different people I know will bring a mori, tunnel and camp me just because I've annoyed them at one point in the past. Even a few do it because of the people I'm friends with.

Don't let it bother you lad because it doesn't bother me. As long as I make them rage quit at least once then I dont care what happens after that :)

    @CashelP14

You just lost all credibility when you said genrush became a thing because of the SC nerf... Genrush was a thing waaaay before that. In fact, SC nerf happened because killers asked for a fix to genrush but we got that instead (which made It worse).

"Gen rush usually involves survivors not healing, so down in one hit if you can find them."

Ok man, you tell me how Im supposed to do that... Those survivors are not healing, therefore they are doing gens + the killer can chase 1 person at a time... If you have all 4 survivors hurt and you are chasing 1 guy is like you dont have preassure on them because they can just complete the gens in no time and get Adrenaline... Also down in 1 hit doesnt mean anything considering how many safe pallets there are in the game.

"Instaheals give people 1 maybe 2 extra hits."

That's right, that's why Moris are a thing, otherwise killers like Pig, Wraith, Freddy and many others could not get a single kill considering Insta-heals are used alongside things like DS, MoM, DH, BT, etc.

"Add-ons can mori without even being hooked, down in one hit and be in general OP like prayer beads and Frank's mix tape."

The only add-on that is complete bs is Frank's Mixtape and Legion is getting a rework, all the others have counter. Prayer Beads is not really that much of a problem as people think since you can hear the Spirit's footsteps, and Myers (the only killer that can Mori you without the need of a Mori/Perk) wont even get the chance to kill anyone if survivors just genrush...

"Those survivors are not healing, therefore they are doing gens + the killer can chase 1 person at a time..."

If you play good enough as killer you should be able to down them decently quick. Also if one is on the hook then someone needs to save them and you are hopefully chasing someone else. That leaves one person on the gens. Again bringing noed does a pretty good job bearing in mind survivors never normally destroy all the totems. Only on one occasion has noed not been activated for me at the end.

"Insta-heals are used alongside things like DS, MoM, DH, BT"

Ds only affects tunnellers off the hook and personally I prefer this ds to the old one for that reason. MoM I said in my first post hardly is ever used. Dead hard can be baited if you know they have it and borrowed time is only when your close to the hooked survivor. I honestly dont remember borrowed time every giving me a problem after its initial nerf last year.

"They can just complete the gens in no time and get Adrenaline"

This is what I meant about the healing changes. I never really noticed adrenaline until that change was made, it wasn't part of the meta until that change was made. It was always self care, borrowed time, ds and dead hard or sprint burst.

Either way mate we can agree to disagree but my initial point was the devs aren't survivor bias and no matter what is said I've played this game long enough to know your not going to change my opinion.
