I guess no one actually sees how mindfcking this can be.
You are going towards a hook; a Blendette wiggling like crazy in your arms and suddenly a bearded David runs towards the locker that’s separating you from the hook and dives in... do you keep walking because by no means he could have Head On? Go on to page 10. Or do you freak out and avoid the locker and find another way around? Then go on to page 34.
How often are lockers in the immediate path of your hook? Less often than pallets. And people dont riot about pallet saves happening. It also requires a perk slot.
It's less useful than in game mechanics without perks. But I still like its application potential.

@powerbats I did forget to mention that I camp when the gates are open, since I gotta secure the kill if they aren’t already dead.
I don't see it as camping at that point as much as making them choose: escape, while you can, or risk more than one of you dying.

You should post this in the bug section, where people will look into the bug.

My issue is due to the long wait times I set my controller down. Ps4 controllers rest on the R2L2 buttons so the slightest bump activates it. In my opinion the reason this needs to be changed/the change needed is to have somewhere in the options that allows a player that does not want to use it to turn it off. Thankfully they are adding in the patch from my understanding that if you are ready the buttons will not change your character which is where a lot of the issues arise.
If I'm ready, it already doesnt let me switch again. So idk what the issue is here. Ready up, set your controller down. Or take your fingers of the triggers.

I dont think you realize that if 1 map is changed, several can be as well. Give it time and you'll see how many of them are changed.
You assume I'm incompetent? Or illiterate? Yes I know they COULD all be changed just as EVERY single perk could be. Just because theyve made a change to one map doesnt mean they will, or that this is a game ending change. It's on one map. If it works well, they MAY look at other maps. But it does not dictate that they will.
-
Is it really normal for 4 gens to be done in under 2 minutes? Because that's what happened to me in the past 4 games.
How can you be sure every game is 4 man swf. You're telling me you always get the less than 9% groups?

Yes, but rushing to judgement, to only rush to a different opinion on a whim isnt the same as being open minded to alternatives.

I've seen him play Myers and he's moonwalking and mindgaming at every pallet and jungle gym. He's pretty good.
With Plague he was playing her like a drunk uncle at a party - stumbling around and throwing chunks everywhere.
I'm not saying perhaps she couldn't do with a few adjustments but I think people need more time with her.
On top of that true said stop the fountains from resetting. Which would mean a 115% killer who can keep survivors broken all game. Yeah that's an OP suggestion so I'd take tru3 with a grain of salt right now.
I think the default "reset them all once they're all tainted at once" is a bit much. I like the idea of passing on an upgrade to keep the survivors weak. Maybe if it gets to one pure, and someone uses it, it simply resets a single fountain elsewhere. Keeps them from being completely screwed, but also let's her keep up some pressure.

I’m getting this feeling no one actually read the entire thing because the entire premise of the post is to use the threat of the perk.... when the killer ALREADY has someone and is moving in the direction of a hook where they have to pass by a locker.
They would still know if you werent there for 3 seconds if you just run up ahead of them and get In
And if they didnt see you it's doing you nothing, because they're not wondering if the invisible person they didnt see was using the perk.
If they really did assume youd use it, it's like 2 seconds to walk slightly away from a locker.
I like the perk, but as a "am I running it" nah. It's very good in select situations. Let's stop acting like this is old DS mindgame/trollable.

Either if it's a bug or a feature doesnt matter, it cant make it to live servers.
Because one single map was adjusted? Out of the what, 20 we have?

No thx. I shouldn't have to play one certain killer just to deal with certain balancing changes.
Actually, you should. Not everyone has issues with pallets. If pallets, or looping, or gen rush is a problem to your playstyle, play the killer and use perks that HELP DEAL WITH WHATEVER CAUSES YOU ISSUES.
They cant balance every killer, and every perk, to fit every single situation.

This and the fact that survivors aren't forced to cure themselves because they can still loop you while fully plagued.
You're right. They're not forced. They can choose to stay in a one down state, infecting others and making loud noises the rest of the game. But they wont.
Not every power has to be a hard counter to looping. Which is basically the only real escape strategy survivors have once spotted and chased.

It's a completely wasted perk slot for anyone who chooses to run it, I don't personally run it but watching streams and seeing people have it and nothing happen all game, why run it? For the occasional try to tunnel you to death killer? if he's even half worth anything he will think to run enduring with that strategy and just smack you right back down since it's only a 1 second stun at that point
Yes. For that one circumstance that may be tha lacking area in someones game. If they get tunneled.
It also fits in with Laurie well. She didnt just run up and stab him. He had her in his grasp first.

Well, literally all stream softwares let you choose your own stream delay time. So if its an issue for the streamer they should stop complaining and make the stream delay 1-2 mins instead of 15 seconds. Logic, DUH.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/349411#Comment_349411
That's about what i figured.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/349261#Comment_349261
This is why we need dedicated servers NOW.
If you stream from ps4, you do not get an option to set stream delay from the menus. At least not when using twitch. I've never tried YouTube.

If you've got a good position and arent being actively looked for, sometimes they miss you completely.
A lot of killers are like a T-rex. Hunting vision is based on movement.

I have no heartburn over stream snipers. Never done it, but streamers can't complain if they are advertising their stream and someone uses it to get an advantage. Should never be bannable in any game imo.
I disagree. It's literally watching someone elses view to gain an advantage that isnt accessible to all. Old school screen peeking is one thing, as everyone sees the entire screen.
Now if there was a guarantee 5 min delay it wouldnt be as much of an issue. But when you can literally say, "oh, hes coming this way, I need to hide" at a moments notice, is breaking the game.
People say SWF being able to talk about where the killer is or is going is an unfair advantage, but seeing EXACTLY what the killer is doing, hearing what they're thinking and seeing their exact perk/addon loadout is easily worse.
-

As far as I know the devssaid that they won't be banning anyone for lag-switching, so even if you were, you wouldn't get banned.

I saw they wont ban for streamsniping, which is absolutely cheating, but this too seems unreal.

My problem with Coldwind Farm isn't the cornfields, it's the blasted loop structures. Whoever had the idea to make see though loops was out of their gourd. It's not fun for either side as their are no mind games to be had.
I'm fine with one map realm having no mindgames, when you can hide in the corn. Especially since it requires more thought and practice. You can still mindgame. You just cant auto mind game.

Again for Corrupt Intervention's fans:
- if you find a generator that is "corrupted": congratulations, you know you spawned far away from the killer!
- the perk incentivizes survivors to do the "correct" generators, that is the ones in the middle of the map. This is a huge advantage late game!
- one time use - at the worst possible time as well (that is: at the very beginning of the match)
- I can't do generators? Well, let's search for the hex ruin instead!
However you look at it, there are no "pros". If one is really afraid of gen rushing, no matter where the generator is, one should use Discordance.
Why? Genrushing is more effective if everyone is on their own gen. If discordance counters genrushing, they're genrushing wrong imo.

but their concepts for Survivor perks suck. Like okay... why do we have the two same perks for two different interactions?

The problem is The Game only have one realm and Coldwind have five realms, four of them with huge cornfield which are a nightmare for most of the killers. Coldwind farm spawn way more frequently than The Game.
And the killer is generally stronger than survivors...if we had 4 maps as hard as the game, survivor mains would riot.
I see your point, but cold wind isnt impossible to 4k on, it's just harder. You cant coast through it.

But, I see you cut that part of the quote off to hide the truth and manipulate it to suit your side
To be fair, it's the new format of the forums. It hides quotes to an extent so it doesn't flood the screen. Click the arrow. It shows.

What you said is true since I do it with dead hard and balanced landing but it will make them waste 2 perk slots and a lot of survivors are not willing to do that. The new perk is cool but compared to other exhaustion perks, it is too situational to be used.
Oh absolutely its situational and requires a build for it, but to say it cant be used with them was just off to me. Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant.

You've never had a 30 minute troll game, or you wouldn't be so flippant about them.
I absolutely have. And you know what I do? Walk away and watch YouTube until it's over. If it's literally unplayable, and not just because I chase one person all game and refuse to move on, and it's just trolls, I'll let them waste their time.
It's really not that bad. Dont let people on the internet bother you? They trolled you, so, okay, move on? It didnt delete your game or kill your dog. Its a game...

It is an exhaustion perk though. People need to give up their sprint bursts, balanced landings, dead hards, and lithes to use it.
As a killer, I take this perk over any other exhaustion perk tbh. It is too situational.
Not true. They're all situational and can be saved. Except sprint burst. Which you could technically walk and save, or regain exhaustion while in the locker. It doesnt really REQUIRE you to pass on anything. Just play smarter if you run both.
I'll run lithe and balanced landing sometimes if I plan on being a runner, just so I have 2 chase options based on situation.

Yeah, in the PTB, you will have a huge advantage over the plague with no mither.
Be careful about using no mither in the normal game though, if you come across with a nurse, hag, or spirit, huntress the game will be over for you.
People said the same thing for the legion and used it against him in the PTB but nobody uses no mither since you can come across with any killer.
I run no mither, unbreakable, tenacity, and dead hard/SB for an "I'm not dead yet" build. It's fun, but nobody ever leaves me on the ground long enough... legion or otherwise.
-
Until you infect everyone else and you're left alone, in a one shot position. With 4 gens to go....
Lol. But I do see your point. Still have to be careful in team situations.
Wait. Is no mither gonna be the new swf meta? 😆

Its supposed to be hard. Like the game is supposed to be hard for survivors. It sucks, but other than doing your best and moving on, or burning offerings to avoid CWF, ot much to do.

Freddy was actually decent at release. He was a slugger. Then survivors cried and he got trashed. Legin is just broken from the core but still powerful if survivors are slow on the gens.
Also devs mentioned in the past that they won't react as harshly like they did when Freddy came out so it came natural to me to mention him.
Oh I know. I'm just so used to seeing people throw legion in when mentioning the devs killer release history that it was refreshing.

I dont like the guy, but deciding to start hiding your name to avoid spam bans (I'm sure he deserves actual bans), is smart.
As opposed to letting it go or even saying that, it's not that hard to do, or that many do it, it doesnt make him better, you had to say it was an idea so braindead that monkeys could do it.
Just no need for that negativity...

Hes on ps4 last I heard. You can just make new accounts.

I think there is enough time depending on the distance the killer has to be in order to get locker stunned. Again this all depends on the distance.
Right but it's not like literally mid chase you can use it, like DS (currently). It takes more planning/time. It's not just a "stop the chase" button.
I see it more for when you hide, and they get lucky enough or clever enough to find you, and you HAVE to jump out or get snatched.

At this point why not just remove ranks. Rank doesnt even matter anyway its just how much you play the game
That's exactly why it exists. To keep the new players away from the streamers. It's not a ranking system. It's a temporary, monthly, "rank". As in where you are in matchmaking. Not how pro you are.
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
Ranks shouldn't exist period and everyone should be together.
Every other game makes ranks an optional side playlist that usually has less players because who cares about ranks...
If you get stomped you get stomped.
It's not a rank. At all. It's a number titled rank, to show a GENERAL idea as to where your skill/mmr is. To keep 1s from going against 20s.
If you remove it completely, it only gets worse. Because then new people playing for fun will end up against uber tryhard streamers.
The issue is that everyone assumes the word "rank" makes the game a ranked competetive game.
-
So If trolls are trolling, they're not doing work.
What's the issue?
Do we want perks balanced so were not making one side op, or do we want to make sure people cant use them in unintended ways that waste their time and may "troll" people....

@Bbbrian2013 we don't know the stream didn't go over her power to well, all we know is what the op posted, there is even a timer at the bottom like the pig, what happens when it reaches its end and what effects do the survivor experience when sick besides throwing up and spreading the sickness.
My guess is that her upgraded power has one or more uses and it will instantly down a survivor. It kinda makes sense because survivors can heal by useing the fountains if they are infected.
They told us in stream, the powered version injures them as well.
-
If we HAVE to pick ONE. Then yes. I'd rather that than a op killer nobody wants to play.
Also considering the game is not competetive, and there is no real rank system, I'd take fun killers over good ones. We have killers that are top tier if that's what you want. And while I wouldnt mind more, I dont want them if they're absolutely no fun to play as or against.
However, in a perfect world, and I'm sure in their minds as well, we can have both. But out of context and if having to pick one or the other, I absolutely agree with it.
