  • No, the firecrackers are to blind the killer that's going straight to kick your gen cause he doesn't have Ruin anymore

  • Doctor is great, new ruin ain't being liked, ne lery's amazing and here I am waiting for my Kate's skin that comes out the 29th

  • If ONI I were an ONI main... You know? The Thrill of the Hunt as Trapper is amazing! But... Hag do you do it right? You just have to place traps at every exit door, you'll laugh the moment you see their Ghost Face when getting trapped in them. Now that's the Spirit!

Gen speed is toxic? What? How on earth is that toxic? It could be considered unbalanced, though I believe that's just the case because of the many unbalanced maps, but something that is unbalanced isn't toxic.

What are you talking about? Haven't you noticed the increased amount of teabagging generators? Those freaking machines learned to teabag! Dude! the speed of their teabagging is toxic AH!

  • Maybe if we say we're rank 20 we'll get it done by tomorrow!

I agree with everything except the bp system, what is wrong with it?

    Shhhhhhh! We need more BP!

  • I ain't gonna promote any childish behaviour, this is just a game, there are bigger issues than Ruin:

    Maps

    Matchmaking

    Ranking sistem

    Pipping sistem

    Emblem sistem

    BP sistem

    Some killers need buffs

Something like Fire Up where the regression ramps up for every finished generator?

I'd think the other way to get actual slowdown at early games, let's say you start with 5 tokens to slowdown and you loose one every time a gen gets done.

It's still a Hex totem and will be easily destroyed in the early game. Even when I've used other totem perks like Devour it was always cleansed so early so to no surprise Ruin wont last either. Don't get me wrong the combo is cool but would only be good for around 30 seconds up until 2 minutes.

Yes, I think the same, if it was token based I'd use it

  • I mean, based on the video it's not that bad, but the fact that it's hex based doesn't apply to me...

  • Leave 1 or two suvivors stuck in a corner with you body blocking them after you've killed the other 2 - 3. This has been done in The Game, Hawkins and old Yamaoka main house. It's a bannable offense btw.

They have to had been dumb enough to stay in a specific place where this can be done.

  • It's actually more complex than you'd think, there are thousand of players, even high ranks who don't know how the emblem sistem works, what Luck is about, what is a bannable offense or a reportable offense, how much time a gen takes to be done depending on the amount of people on it,

Newbies have to learn what I just said plus an inmense amount of perks, perk combos, what statuses are (exhaustion, etc.), maps, what totems are, specific survivors and killers abilities, should I continue? Being able to "run" doesn't mean you know how to loop, being able to repair doesn't mean you know how to do perfect skillchecks, being able to drop a pallet doesn't mean they learnt how to actually stun a killer or when to or not drop a pallet, damn, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF RED RANK WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO BLIND THE KILLER WITH A LANTERN.

Don't get me wrong, I believe veterans are as important as new players, my issue is with you saying this is not a complex game, if you think doing gens, openning gates is all there is... Damn I hope you're not a purple or red rank...

  • @xEa said:

...  getting crushed by survivors? I dont understand it. Even i, a mediocre killer gets more 4Ks then anything else.

This was a red rank game. After looping the trapper for almost 3 gens (he gave up), a teammate gets downed like within 10 seconds. Since apparently nobody tried to safe her, i went in for the trade.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSdF3TZ_sUs

Keep in mind.. this is red rank, and therefore, these ppl should be the best.

BHVR, i said it before i know, but please. FIX the ranking system. Make it HARD, so we dont have to deal with actual rank 20s that somehow grinded to rank 1.

I'm ok with what you said in everything (all killers have a 50%+ killing accuracy) BUT, red ranks do not give you good teammates, SWF with people you get to know and aknowledge they are good players give you good teammates.

  • @AresBee said:

It is not pipping, I would gladly take -1 pip just to have nice, fun and fair match without genrushing and toxicity.

Lets say I got into a match with you on my usual full red ranks SWF, then we'd hide for about, lets say, 2 minutes, maybe let you find one of us whyle others do totems, do chests, etc. THEN we start doing gens and the same outcome would've come from it cause of map and killer issues, you didn't get gen rushed, as I said, we gave you around 2 minutes before starting. Would you feel better then? I think the problem is people mistake having a long game with having a good game. As trapper main, red ranks, damn, do gens, I'm still getting a 3k+ and that's a win in my book, I don't care if it took me 5 mins or 20, the pip and the kills are the win for me.

If you didn't teabag me or sandbagged a teammate you're not toxic, you're doing your only objective as a survivor.

I appreciate the thoroughness of your point. I want to thank you for sharing it with me, so lets talk about it.

When it comes to showing this video in particular, it was very important to showcase the absurdity of gen times not only by themselves but with a perfect set of events. Instant find ( which was based off of a successful GUESS) I didn't get looped or have a pallet dropped, and I downed the survivor as close to as fast as possible. Bear in mind that this was only possible because I played spirit. Most killers will not be able to do this at all, let alone consistent enough to be considered the standard for killers. With this being a best case scenario for killers period and the clean down, 3 ( yes three) gens were essentially done in that time without toolboxes. The reason I am counting that third one is because of the pegs. Regression without new ruin is terrible and a problem to talk about in a different conversation so once a gen gets to 96+ percent for simplicity sake it is very fine to count that as a completed gen as the main point isnt that they only have to do 2 gens at 2 mins into the game-- its that it takes a short time to get from 0 to 100.

You mentioned that it is not common for survivors to spawn on gens and go to each one and I would say that is up for speculation and the argument against you would be that at higher ranks, there likelyhood that survivors knowing that going to individual generators is the optimal way to attack them. However, I will concede that even at higher levels of play, survivors spawn in the same area AND choose to double up on the 2 nearest gens or worse. This said, the point isnt that they spawn separately and do gens, the point is that individually at any point in the game survivors by themselves can do one gen extremely fast. Multiply that 3 times and boo, multiple gens are being attacked this way. I wanted to point out that its possible even against a spirit who had a perfect start. I want to reiterate that against killers who don't have excellent chasing tools to get the 2nd hit quickly again, they have to spend even more time chasing that survivor which means more time for survivors to work on gens that take a short time to complete. I havent even brought up loops, strong pallets or map size yet.

I want to address this quickly as its not the point I was making, but the 4k doesnt matter so much for 2 main reasons: It doesnt determine if I pip or not like it used to and that 4k only happened because one survivor made a terrible mistake, and it could be argued that the other made a looping mistake. Which means if survivors didnt make the mistakes shown ( which is very common at high levels of play) then I would not even have gotten those double basement hooks in the first place AND the gens would still have been completed.

I want to also address the choice to not take CI shortly as well as this is an entirely new convo in itself. The perk is mediocre at best and Ill tell you why. The perk essentially makes the most important gens the only gens to be available to be worked on. Ill admit a bit of bias in this one and say that I am a Doctor main. My main strategy was developed due to years of playing him and that strategy is to assign "weight" to each gen. The further away from center of the map a generator is, the lighter weight it holds. I am willing to sacrifice a far off gen because I do not want to end up in a situation where survivors need 1 gen left and 1 of the 3 remaining gens to be worked on is on the other side of the map. That means the central area is a very important place for not only me but the survivors too if they want to win. CI essentially makes it to where survivors will attack the most important gens first and as I get looped and chase after the first hit, other survivors are working on those core gens because they have no other choice. Even if i were (and I do when the time is right) peel away and go after antoher survivor, that still leaves 2 survivors free to do the other gens left available by CI. By the time the perk dies survivors have created a prioity to finish those ideal gens at the fast rate that they naturally do them. Using CI post ruin change is a weak band-aid to address this issue and I predict it will not be the answer to this new meta. I actually predict new ruin will still remain the best possible way to slow down gens but only with certain killers and Doc being one of them :)

The final thing I wanted to address what you would like to see as in the video I did use thanato and nothing came of it. It should really be noted that if we are talking stats and empirical evidence, it has long since been proven that thanato does a terrible job at hindering gen speeds. The core reason I personally use it is that it stacks well with sloppy to slow down HEAL times. Thanato is terrible at slowing down gens. That said, you wanted to see a game with spirit using it and that video did just that. The point of that video is that no killer player would do anything different when it comes to handling that first survivor and then going after the second and because of that, 3 gens got done. There was no room for speculation or doubt when it came to the speed there as it all went down in under 2 mins.

So a final iteration: The point I personally wanted to make is that anytime in any place, gens can be done extremely quickly without toolboxes, without the first survivor doing any looping ( which is very common), without any pallets being dropped (common), and with the second survivor getting peeled off the generator. Imagine the standard events of a chase and the claudette not getting picked up. Imagine it NOT being spirit. Thats a rough set of circumstances man. The 4k wasnt relevant here because you are absolutely right, the goal is to win. Getting 4k doesnt guarantee that anymore as it currently stands. It however, almost sounds like you think the 4k does that though and I would ask if you could clarify if thats what you mean.

Sorry for the wall but you gave me a lot to go over and I appreciate that. I feel like I may have missed something so I hope you continue to respond.

Damn that was long to read!

My point is merely that pipping sistem and ranking are a priority, if we could focus on getting the 3k+ instead of "not letting survivors do gens early game" as one of our objectives to pip then we would have a way more fun game absed in being a killer, not a sabotager.

About the gen's speed, I don't know about you, I'm a red rank in both survivor and killer and as survivor I practically ALWAYS spawn with my teammates and I don't work on different gens, we do the same one, better experience as a SWF, gives the killer a chance, bla bla bla. And as killer, I always find everyone together in a single gen (I run discordance), it's practically 1/10 games where more than 1 gen gets done in my early game, I don't know if it's my platform (xbox), rank (red) or luck, but this is the most common thing I find: 2+ survivors on a single gen, I hit one, hit the other, down him, hook, repeat. There are specific maps like rottenfields and the new Yamaoka that actually give me a challenge as a trapper and GF main.

I have a question: don't you think that the fact that not letting gens get done in early game is one of our killer's objectives is affecting our percepetion of a win?

I've had way more fun in games where I trapped the hell out of the map before even getting on a chase and I was using CI for it (cause there are lots of dummies out ther who think, IN RED RANKS! WTH?! that waiting for CI to fade is better than trying to find a viable gen to do and regardless of how many gens were done), I 4k and all survivors sent a GG message afterwards thinking I was OP, as traper...

I don't know man, I just believe that there are more important core stuff that need the Devs attention more than gen speed, I'd start with matchmaking, pipping sistem and maps, and we'd have to see from there.

The one big thing that needs fixed in the game is the ranking and matchmaking system overall.

Survivors can level up off of nothing (I've seen red ranks with less than 100 hours in the game) and killer is about the same as it has been fit a while.

That puts a mass amount of survivors in ranks above their actual playstyle and puts them against killers who can dominate against that. Combine that with matchmaking being broken to a point where a rank 2, a rank 18, a rank 5 and a rank 11 can go against a rank 10 killer without being in a swf group, just shows how broken it is.

Now if and when they implement crossplay it will open up more players and can offer more room to balance the matchmaking, but I don't see that happening for a while.

The only problem about the crossplay is the disadvantage against PC, but if it'd be PS4 and Xbox and PC optional then I'd be ok

They're not really "unreachable", as the one on the hook will eventually die. It's not a way to hold the game hostage.

My point exactly, it's an easy 2k isn't it?

  • You just made me spit my coffee all over my office... LMFAO

  • Please have in mind that, the more complex the issue is the more time the Devs need for it to get fixed

  • Yes, as killer:

    • No camping nor tunneling unless someone teabagged or sandbagged
    • No mori unless deathhook
    • 1 DC = 1 free of chase gen
    • 2 DC = Farm or funny gamestyle

    As survivor:

    • Farmers get stitches
    • No one gets left behind even if I die trying
    • There's only 2 remaining (you and me), you purpossely brought the killer to me = I'll do my best to loop the killer trying to find hatch, then proceed to stand still on top of the hatch for you to die with me
  • @Almo said:

We're aware of the problem and working on it. The fix turned out to be more complex than expected, so it's not slated for the imminent release. As usual, I can't comment on when it will be fixed, but we will definitely fix it.

Is this really an exploit...? I mean, as killer that has played against this kind of players I can always get them from the side of the hook and they gave me a second hooked person with close hooks whyle no pun intended patrolling the 1st hooked person. Are they actually "unreachable"?

I actually want more red rank killers and survivors to get shorter queue times, but yes, in one way or another, it needs fixes cause of ranks disadvantage, maybe the problem is with players not wanting to play killer in terms of queue times.

  • To be fair, like in a discussion with a wife (this is a joke, no pun intended), gamers act based in past actions that somehow are alike to nowdays discussions to let the Devs know they didn't solve something the way they wanted trying to get the "fixing" to a better place in the future, but yes, it doesn't help at all, what I do is, if I complain I give a suggestion with it hoping it can help solve the real problem.

Than he'd go off the top of the image, as the image is a bit too big to determine the exact variable he's looking for.

Either the top of the middle of the image should suffice, as a point on a graph is usually indicated by the middle of the point. That would make sense though, as a point is easier to determine the variable it's associated with than a square image.

So, in that sense, he'd go off of the middle of the image to determine said variable or the top of the image.

Yes, I think that's it, I believe the Devs used the "Image Dot" option of the Software they used, so the middle of the square should do it, unless they used Paint or PP to do the Graph, which I don't think so, hehehehe.

    @Boss

    You read it like this

In a simplified version here, you read the chart by going off of who's the farthest right for the most popular and who's the farthest above the rest for the most Kill Rate.

Here's a more "advanced" explanation below.

how to read who the most popular Killer is (Red Ranks chart)

We'll go off of Red Ranks Spirit to just make things simple. So, the way you'd read is it viewing the bottom portion of where they're set on the chart, the farther to the right means the more that Killer is used.

Spirit is the farthest Killer to the right, so they're the most popular among Red Rank Killers. BUT! Their Kill Rate is slightly lower than Freddys, you can see this by where they're positioned in the charts top graph.

how to read who the "strongest" killer is (Red Ranks Chart)

So, if you're the highest on the graph, you're the "strongest Killer" or you have the most Kill Rate out of any in this sense. Spirit is just shy of being the "strongest" and most popular, which is why Freddy is listed as the strongest, since he has a slightly higher Kill Rate than her in Red Ranks and even in the general graph above.

how to read who the most popular killer is (all ranks chart)

We'll go over the "All Ranks" chart as well to help clear up any confusion, we'll use Trapper as a base for this explanation this time, and than we'll use Freddy again for the other portion of this chart.

So, as explained above, if the Killer is the farthest right on the chart than they're the most popular. Trapper is the farthest right, so he's the most popular or most used Killer among all the Killers when it comes to every rank, not just Red Ranks.

Why is that? Well, he's the first Killer on the roster of Killers when a noob gets the game, so naturally they'd choose him first to understand what it's like to be a Killer for the first time. It makes sense that he's the most chosen by a land slide when it comes to every rank, because since it's covering every rank... it's also covering Grey and Yellow. So, this means that since most noobs start off at Grey and than in Yellow for a bit, they'll pick Trapper a lot!

how to read who the "strongest" Killer is (All ranks chart)

I'll cut to the chase with this one, since Freddys picture is positioned the highest on the chart (NOT THE FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT), this means his Kill Rate is the highest of all the other Killers, which means he's also the "Strongest Killer" for All Ranks as well.

Spirit is slightly below his picture on this chart, meaning she has the 2nd highest Kill Rate. The Killer below her would be Hag, but Spirit is barely above her from how the pictures are positioned, meaning she's in 3rd for the highest Kill Rate and than Trapper is 4th since he's the 4th highest picture on that portion of the graph.

The same applies to the other portion, whoever is the farthest right is the most popular, than you go by who's the 2nd most to the right from where they're positioned on the chart, than so on and so forth.

please read, this portion is important

Your confusion stems from where they're on the list to figure out who's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or at least that's what i'm getting from this.

Simply put, read it like this. Trapper is on that base-line of "65" in the far left section of the chart and so is The Pig, but look where his picture is position on that base-line... it's slightly above The Pigs where the number 65 is on that chart.

What this means is, he has a higher Kill Rate than The Pig in All Ranks, not just Red Ranks, All Ranks. He's above Billy and GF SLIGHTLY as well, but not by much, but he's lower than The Hag, Freddy, and The Spirit. So, this means he's in 4th place for the "Strongest Killer" in All Ranks!

    another Red Ranks chart example

If I used the Red Ranks chart as another example, you can see that Freddy is slightly above Billies picture, while Billies picture is slightly above Spirits, this means Freddy is 1st on the Kill Rate list for the Red Ranks chart and Billy is 2nd, while Spirit is 3rd.

Spirit however is the farthest Killer to the right on the bottom chart, which means she's the most popular, the most popular doesn't mean she has the highest Kill Rate, it just means she's the most used out of any other Killer, as for who's the 2nd most used, Billy is ahead of Freddy slightly to the right some more, and Freddy just barely makes it above Huntress to sit in 3rd place as the most used in the Red Ranks chart.

Basically, read it like this. If you want to know who the most popular is, than flip the charts with the numbers of the far left being flipped to the bottom, whoever is the highest picture at the top of that flipped chart is the most popular, than flip it back to normal and see who's the highest on the normal chart to determine the highest Kill Rate of any of those Killers.

    Hopefully this makes sense.

    conclusion (tl;dr)

For a very very simplified version here, just read it like this. Whoever is the highest on the chart has the most Kill Rate, if the picture is slightly above another, than that means its Kill Rate is higher than that other picture... but only slightly.

If the pictures are the farthest to the right, than they're the most popular Killer. Same concept with that, if a picture is slightly more to the right than another, than that Killer is used more than the other Killers picture that's slightly behind it.

Use this to determine your percentages, hopefully I helped or made it more confusion idk.

I think the problem he had was because of the image more than the being able to read the chart, he had the issue as many others to know which part of the image square to see as the actual value for the variable.

The solutions I present (assuage my demands) will fix every problem I've identified (apply aforementioned linear bias) and should be taken very seriously because I'm angry.

Obviously Behavior doesn't care about the gaming community because I don't get the single response I demand. So you will need to assuage my anger or else I will quit this game forever and return in a couple of months to express how mad I am while I still play the game I quit.

  • For me it's B in both scenarios.... I always try to be the hero...

So, before you read, here’s a heads up: This is not complaining.

Played a game as Killer and I’m Bubba (as per usual). Anyways, people say this game is not survivor-sided. 90% of my games are on the big ass maps.

    Game starts:

    4 Survivors; All Toolboxes.

I spot a lonesome Claudy, down her. Hook. She gets unhooked immediately. Breakdown.

Down her again because her teammate runs and I couldn’t catch in time. Go to hook. Can’t. Hook broke. Nearest hook, her teammates are sabotaging. She pops off.

Summarizing this game because I don’t have time to write out like I usually do:

3 teammates chased me, sabotaged each hook, had toolboxes with max sabotaging.

Perks: BT, Breakdown, Flip Flop, DS.

I won, because the final teammate that was knocking out gens finally came to help a teammate and I downed her.

This game is heavily Survivor Sided. I hooked ONE survivor TWICE the entire match before I managed to slug all of them. Had the 4th teammate not messed up and pushed, I would’ve lost tremendously.

    Post-game message:

    “Why’d you camp?”

You Teabagged me or sand bagged one of your teammates = Face camp
