Leatherface - (Any addons) - the skinning stuff connection
Rancor - really, really angry, all the time.
Sloppy Butcher - Trying to skin animals.
Knockout - Suggests chloroform as a method of knocking out the puppies.
Nemesis - Spiteful

An Inquisitor from Medieval times?
Cenobite (Chain hunt addons)- torment's his game. (PH is another option)
Trail of Torment - torment is in the name, and a stealthy approach would help an inquisitor hunt for people.
Gift of Pain - I feel like I don't need to explain this.
Pain Resonance - getting info out of people and punishing compassion.
BBQ & Chilli - to get information out of people

this was kind of a joke but honestly want to see what you got
Doc - manipulative focused on hallucinatory docs and range enhancers
Third Seal - hiding stuff
Insidious - Clearly hiding stuff (bonus points if you pretend to be a hallucination ingame)
Crowd Control - trickery
Blood Favour - shady stuff + knives.

PH - (focus on debuff inflicting addons) Tormenting's a theme for sure, and cages of atonement are reminiscent of the chokey.

What's your idea for a Babadook build?
Power: Onryo/Freddy (addons should focus on teleportation) - MO of teleportation and appearing out of nowhere, as well as tormenting people.
Dark Devotion -for the book
Discordance - For driving people away from each other.

I kind of like this idea. It would be fun on Myers. Literal jumpscare tier 3 myers.
I mean, yeah, but MYC and devour are already incredible, to be fair.
what if the perk acted as a 1 way object of obsession instead?
the killer would get a ping on the obsession's location once every 30 seconds.

Can we get some buffs/fixes for other stealth killers such as Freddy and Onryo? For freddy they can simply revert one or two of the nerfs he got a while back.
Myers: buff/slight rework.
Onryo:
- when you demanifest within 16m of a condemned survivor, that survivor should be heavily hindered (15-30%) for a number of seconds equal to their condemnation level.
- after demanifesting, if you hit a survivor while still flickering they gain a level of condemned.
Freddy: should be the hallucination king. Addons should be a toychest of unique hallucinations and misc perception altering details.
-

Yes, i think she would be alright if condemned actually meant something.
I've been saying for a while that when the onryo manifests, nearby survivors should be hindered for x seconds. (x = condemned level)

Asking a killer to not tunnel is like telling a survivor "hey don't do that gen, travel to the other end of the map and do that one. Why do you wanna complete all gens so fast? Let the killer have some fun too"
Isn't it pretty much the same thing?
Personally, I don't have an issue with tunnelling unless it's paired with camping.

Often people criticize certain perks for being meta.. need a rework, etc. Strategies like tunneling & camping often go overlooked. How do you feel?
p.s this does not include anything at end game collapse or when all gens are done, at that point, killer can (and should) camp/tunnel to secure kills.
(Valid strats)
I say this even though I just got facecamped from first hook to death by noed users in literally all my survivor matches today.

@RequiemLestat said:
I'll preface this rant with: I know the never-ending cycle of toxicity and how the feedback loop is proverbially exponential.
I killer main. I play fair. I don't camp, tunnel or slug. I don't put on oppresive builds, i consistenly mix them to see their effect on my games.
Around a year ago I picked the game back up after a six month break. I have a full-time job so can play when I have the little spare time. Not too sure of the exact amount of hours I have put in to it, but I have a P3 50 Pinhead, P3 50 Pyramid Head, a 50 Nemesis and middling to low levels on every other. My survivors have most perks unlocked but not all.
I'll condense this...
80-90% of my games involve either some or all of these:
. Two or three survivors taking it turns with the bullying, God-looping, when you leave the chase the bait you again and again, no objectives, nothing but to follow you around the map being a pest.
. Tea-bagging at the pallet
. Constantly clicking flashlights
. DC'ing after the first down
. At least 4 gens done before second hook
. Hex totems immediately cleansed both during game and end-game like NoED etc
. Boon CoH and Shadowstep combo
. Cussed out royally in the chat, "Suxk it, NoED toy, get better," I reply: Dude, it's 4 brains versus 1, and you don't need to be that good to get five gens done and escape." His response, "We played better than you." Since when was this entitlement the rule of law for survivor mains?
You all played like trash, I play fairly, I'm the trash? To say it's stressful is an understatement. Why would anyone play killer anymore?
Cue the, "Disable end game chat" "Get better," "Run better perks," "Do something else... blah blah blah." Those are indivivdual solutions, I am pointing at a larger problem. A full year continuous play and this IS the norm. No matter if anyone tells you any different.
Fix it how? Or leave what I consider to be one of the most addicting games I've ever played, pumped money in to, loyalty time and time again and I swear I'm not a masochist.
"playing fair" isn't really something to worry about. as long as you aren't hacking or exploiting a map issue you aren't doing anything wrong.
there's nothing wrong with wanting to play nice, but my advice overall is to play in a way you wouldn't get angry about if you were on the receiving end. Essentially, play however you want, but don't be a hypocrite.
-
I run gen regression perks on killers who don't have great map pressure.

After going through some blood webs and noticing some ridiculous add ons I asked myself the question: how do they use this stuff?
There are the obvious ones, like hag probably uses them in some form of ritual to power up hexes, wraith draws symbols to empower himself, a lot of killers just tinker with their weapons (deathslinger, leatherface, hillbilly pig, trapper), some are most likely eaten, like the forest stew and the stale biscuit from the twins, etc.
But then there are the add ons that I am genuinely clueless as to how ANYONE could "use" them. Pyramid head for example. How does he use a dead butterfly, a mannequin foot and a wax doll? Does he eat that? Play with it to psych himself up? Or pinhead. How does he use a slice of Frank, Larry's blood and Larry's remains? Eat them? Decorate the chains with them? What does the demogorgon do with a lifeguard whistle, a lighter, a crumpled can of soda and glasses? Does it even know what those items are? And even if it did, how would it make use of them? Take a sip of soda? Wear glasses even though it has no eyes? Whistle to scare survivors?
I need answers
I think they either get meditated about, eaten/otherwise consumed, reread/rewatched, or incorporated into their physical kit.
give me any addon, and I'm sure I can tell you which category it falls into.

I hate this killer with a passion I think the design isn’t that good. But they finally aren’t the worst killer in the game and can actually be a threat to those who make mistakes. So stop making mistakes I can conclude the issue isn’t Legion but a skill issue.
I personally don't feel the hate (I'm indifferent about mending simulator), and they're a scary enough killer.
I'm just glad that they aren't underpowered now.
They certainly aren't overpowered, but they are oversaturated at the moment. Still, that's temporary.

Legion players just pressing a button which injures every survivor and Legion knows the location of every survivor all the time.
Other survivor mistakes make you dead 100% against Legion, hiding not an option, you have to hold m1 forever, every Legion designed to games taking forever, by that time Legion took every resources on the map. Unless all of random team on Oracle level of looping skills, Legion 100% win every time, because the only killer where other survivors make you lose the game
Step 1: Equip Bond

My take on the entire Nurse debate as a Nurse main is that she is the only killer where you have to use your power perfectly to win. And that is what makes her more than fair
Blight's power is probably hardest to master but in the end, his speed is 115 and he's an old man with a stick and can just loop as a normal m1 killer and down people without using all the rushes since survivors need to know how to loop or just pre-drop pallets and can last long enough for the team to smash the gens.
There are matches where I get bodied and in most cases it's because the survivors were smart enough to capitalize on the mistakes I made, which in most cases are missed blinks or wrong reads
Making a mistake as Nurse without the range add ons feels super punishing, people these days know how to hold w and run to the COH range to heal.
Also, people can play sneaky and just hide and walking around as Nurse searching for them feels like torture sometimes.
When you do not miss your blinks and you are just downing people one after the other feels super awful for survivors but doing that means you have to blink perfectly every single time to pressure them.
Also let's not forget that the biggest counter to Nurse is the most popular perk in the game.
And if someone who is God at Nurse plays the match perfectly and kills the team at 5 gens...well they deserve it.
Playing perfectly as Nurse is a guaranteed 4k, but in the end, she is 1 killer in the game that has that pay off, maybe Blight but I do think that even average teams can run God-tier Blight long enough to finish the gens if they just split up.
Also this is a party asymmetrical game, people arguing over ''balance'' is kind laughable at this point
I agree.
Skill should be rewarded, but misplays should be punished.
My biggest grievance as Twins is that they arguably have the highest skill ceiling in the game (unless you play like a jerk), but they're easily outdone by nurse because they get punished for good plays and bad plays.
-
@Deathstroke said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/321809/nurse-direction
Making her weak line oni at beginning could work but then should she has instadown then when she gets her blinks... That would at least change that she would have to run loops as m1 killer first but how she would get her power? stalking or collecting something? But for real I think she is pretty fine maybe her add ons need some nerf idk.
collecting grunts of pain, maybe?
edit: starting off, maybe nurse could have a long blink recharge. As she collected grunts of pain, her blink recharge would decrease.

Mine would be some polishing to Twins, Ghostie, and Slinger to make them less clunky and nicer to play as.
I'd also like changes to perks such as Resurgence and Solidarity to account for the new Hemorrhage, and for Dead Hard to be tuned down a peg.
Most of all though, I really want any form of advanced graphics settings such as disabling Anti Aliasing.
Twins QoL
Freddy Addon pass
CoH nerf to limit uses.
Sadako applying hindered to nearby survivors for x seconds when she manifests within 16m. (x = condemned level.) Also, making her lullaby quieter.

Hello. Long time player here since 2017. A few months ago I took a break from DBD to focus on other games and came back this week for the first time in a while. I wanted to test out the new buffed Legion and got a random 4 stack SWF. They brought a map offering to send us all to Freddy’s school and the other 2 stacked hook distance offerings while the last used an offering to make basement spawn at killer shack. Then as soon as I found the first one they ran straight to the boiler room section of the school (the basement wasn’t here due to their offering) and because of the hook offerings I couldn’t get them to a hook from down there in time even if I broke the side walls because their Allie’s would also eat hits and body block me. I though ‘okay, that’s a little annoying but it’s fine I’ll just get the next guy’ only to realize….. they ALL were just camping in the boiler room now. None would run away from me, they’d just all stand as far from the exits as possible, and break off and run back over and over… ‘okay… I guess I’m forced to slug them, that’s annoying but what can I do?’ I thought. Nope. All four of them were running stacked up perks, everyone had Soul Guard for infinite self pickups (because I had Ruin) boil over to make Carrying that much harder, all has the unbreakable style boon that they’d keep setting up nearby, etc etc. so basically it was an endless loop of downing them and either trying to carry one away and failing or leaving them all down just for them to all pick themself up and start eating extra hits and teabagging me because of soulguard. This was basically the entirety of my match experience for like 20+ minutes until they FINALLY all bled out. Finally at the end they all messaged me a bunch of things about how I was garbage and to uninstall etc etc… You could argue that I should of just DC’d but I didn’t wanna get banned for quitting early. So… was this absurd behavior reportable/bannable?? I’ve literally never seen anything like this in over 3000 hours of experience in this game.
Edited because I had the wrong map name put down at first so it didn’t make sense.
they were just using perks in the game.
sounds like they were being cheeky about it, but as long as they weren't hacking, they don't seem to have done anything wrong.
don't sweat it, if people are refusing to be hooked, they can have fun on the ground.

He should be harder to see while awake, but not completely invisible - that would be too broken.
I would normally agree about the terror radius and lullaby swap - but it both lacks thematically and is the opposite of what you, as a killer, want.
Heartbeat is a lot more specific than lullaby - and the lullaby is also a lot more creepy and dreamy. It would make more sense to hear the singing while they're dreaming and to feel a sense of foreboding while lucid than the other way around.
There should absolutely be a few passes on the items to make them more interesting.
But they really need to have a major overhaul of the killer overall.
people in the movies consistently hear the freddy rhyme before he gets them, but before they're fully asleep.
but I agree.

I have put the last 6 months since June 2021 (5th anniversary) where many players arrived for Nemesis, the point is that the players have gotten worse, I mean, a massive loss that dead by daylight never had, with this I mean that, BHVR should listen more to their community and make MASSIVE changes to their game already.
I have an idea why they have scheduled patches, so, we have patches with very little content to patches like the one we had a couple of months ago (THE MID CHAPTER with a lot of changes to killers) as a player from 2016 I loved it , but I want to see more.
The loss of players that we are having in these 6 months was never had by dead by daylight and I am going to say factors:
1.- BHVR does not pay much attention to its community
2.- They don't focus on the real imbalance problem (Core of the game, objectives (totems, repair gens...), kill survivors (tunneling and camping), maps (RNG of the maps)
3.- MMR (this is not a competitive game)
4.- The game could be very repetitive for 2016 players, so they leave.
Within 1 month we will have the 6th anniversary stream, where BHVR will communicate their plans for the 6th year of DBD where we will be able to know their ROADMAP and I am looking forward to it as a player of 2016, since they have promised a lot, but done very little (Reworks Moris, keys, grind etc etc...)
For me, they should currently focus on the MMR, on the problems that the game has like: Camp and Tunnel and on the part of the survis, the only objective to "win" the generators and.. MAPS ofc.
This is super important, but I know that DEAD BY DAYLIGHT will never be 50/50 balanced, because it's hard, but it can be done with effort and listening to the community, that's all I have to say, thank you!
DBD player count has historically increased over the summer and then gone back down.
