seriously what the hell
You got ghostface, gets nerfed by one loop
pig, which can be good with perks but her traps feel random even with changes
Nemsis, worst damn addons in this damn game
Sadako, forgotten
Myers, impossible to play without perks
Demodoggy, doesn't exist anymore (can't say anything about it)
Cenobite, again a forgotten killer
Pyramid head, will say is a bit good when he has the element of surprise but somehow made his movements feel so awkward while using the rites of judgments
Freddy : i forgot he even exists
the only good license killer is bubba, because he can one shot, which is honestly feels boring in general, but feels amazing when u want to make everyone suffer
and yet you might say some original characters are weak but let me remind you, at their time they were gods of the game, they just aged poorly
and then we get some forgotten original killers
Artist, can literally nerf any damn loop, she is just underrated
hag, again broken af but boring to play with or against since u always got a down
Trapper, you feel like Lex Luther when someone gets caught in your trap
Wraith, has either sanic build or sneaky
hot take : twins are a good since u can put vic as a UAV anywhere to check for survivors but the switching time is what's holding them back
Deathslinger, literally has an AWP
you get the point basically, every license killer feels nerfed on release while original killers are good but tend to age poorly, im gonna be honest i wasn't drawn to this game by nurse or blight
piggy is what drew me here because im a huge fan of the saw movies, then ghostface brought me back
it just feels sad that killers that people enjoy are so weak while u can just pick nurse and guarantee a 4k every game which is just lame and boring
But feel free to tell me how nemsis has the best addons, even tho he doesn't have a single addon that exhausts or literally does anything else
"Nemsis, worst damn addons in this damn game"
PH and Slinger would like a word.
Also, I'd say licenced killers generally hover around B tier.

I find that it works well as killer. Survivor, not so much.
As killer, I've found I get a nice bell of averages for 0-4ks. 4ks being rare and hard fought and 2ks being close to being 3ks.
as for survivor, I play really altruistically, and I've dug myself into a hole where I generally get really incompetent, cowardly teammates. I'll stomp killers in chase, then get left to die on first hook while my teammates busy themselves with hiding in lockers, dropping pallets for no apparent reason, and tbagging at each other in a fight for dominance.
-
I think it's fine.

Bond
Bond is such a wonderful information perk that I run it on damn near everyone. Am I hurt and need help? Bond will find me a buddy! Is someone hurt and needs my help? Bond will show me where my hurt future buddy is! Do I hear the terror radius and I'm not sure what's going on? Well that guy running around demonstrates that they're being chased and therefore I am good to just keep working on this generator. Am I running from the bad guy? Oh snap, I can see with Bond that my buddy is on that generator so instead of turning left to them, I'm gonna turn right!
Information is King in this game and Bond gives you the most bang for your buck when it comes to info.
honestly, that's why I chose third seal for the most underestimated perk.
It may not be as visibly impactful as, say, devour, but It's powerful for being able to negate information from Windows to Bond - indirectly making every survivor a little worse at everything.
Also, I've lost count of the number of times someone's hit stage 2 or 3 due as a result of Third Seal + inattention/distraction (myself included).
-
I think that it should just make all survivors moriable or something.
it could maybe keep the speed, but the exposed just feels really cheap.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of people (various platforms) stating that since tunneling/camping are basekit options for killers, survivors should have basekit counters.
What are YOUR thoughts and opinions on this statement/line of thinking?
Pretty interesting that it's blowing up so close to the anniversary stream.
I think that the killer shouldn't have the power to just say "screw you in particular, you don't get to play."
Maybe something like PH's cages getting moved would be enough? (on a longer timer)

I'm also partial to Devour and Rancor.

I think dead hard should be totally reworked so that it synergizes with No Mither instead of vice versa.

Hi everyone, I’m a killer main who play’s survivor on occasion to unlock new stories from the archives.
It seems that 30 percent of the time I play survivor, I find killers who camp hooked survivors which just ruins the fun for anyone who plays survivor. This really needs to be addressed in a way that actually motivates killers to stop doing it.
There should be a new status effect where killers can only inflict deep wound status to injured survivors if they have stood within a certain radius of a survivor for 20 seconds or so. This effect would be paused when killers are damaging generators and completely stopped when there are other survivors within the hook radius unless the killer is already affected by the status effect. The effect progress would not be visible to the killer but the effect itself would be visible when it is activated.
Doing something like this would stop killers from camping and decrease the chance of a survivor dying on their first hook and getting frustrated. This would need to be balanced with some other survivor reworks (cough… dead hard), but could potentially make the game more fun for survivors and killers alike.
I don't know, that could act as infinite health for survivors who loop decently near the hook.
I think basekit bt that deactivates if you take a hit for someone would be better.

lag switching, pretty sure ping control is a thing now too
oh, damn.
nevermind.
in that case, just make it a 15-20 min ban each time. long enough to be annoying, but short enough to not be too bad for false alarms on real life emergencies or crashes.

Neither Survivors or Killers should be able to abuse specific maps.
I think that characters should have a hidden +5% to get sent to their map, and that map offerings should work normally as killer but should avoid sending you to that map as survivor.

But if they implemented code that didn't activate the DC ban if you were doing gens or halfway through a chase, then all you have to do is hop on a gen or fins the killer in order to get a free DC.
I see survivors disconnect halfway through chase all the time, anyway.
Yeah, I guess.
I forgot to mention it'd be a system that tracked your ping.
weird ping/known glitch + in the middle of something = no penalty.

I’m probably going to be returning to DBD when the Dredge releases and I want to know which killer I should grind out when I come back. I’m still debating between maybe Huntress, Pinhead, Demo, Plague, and a couple others, but I’m just not sure yet. Any recommendations on who is the most fun when mastered?
Demo or Twins.
Twins'll help you pick up Dredge's antiloop, and they're lots of fun in their own right.
Demo's just a dying breed.
-
Yeah.
I mean, if you're moving, doing gens, in chase, or anything like that, you're obviously not ragequitting.

Borrowed time and Kindred, especially when together. Surprised neither was on this list though borrowed time is very well known for being amazing. Very little helps your team out more then making an unsafe hook safe.
I'm still learning some of the perks on survivor side, I know most of the killer ones so I had to look some of these up. Aftercare is solid and out of those options is what I voted for but I still think Kindred is better. When you or someone else is on hook that is the time for knowing where everyone else is and who is going for the save and who is working on generators and whether more then one person need to make the save due a campy killer. It also always works for the whole team. Aftercare however STOPS working at that critical moment if you are the one who is hooked and getting it's trigger conditions isn't always a gimme. It also does not reveal the killer if they are camping.
Vigil and Open handed are both potentially interesting and work decently on their own and are even better with coordination. I had to look both up, I admit it. The others I knew.
for sure, I was just choosing some off-meta perks.
most of them also work as an AOE, and that was my original poll concept.
-
Note: Emphatic connection falls under Aftercare and so does Blood Pact.
-
Yeah, but bond doesn't directly buff your teammates, it just tells you where they are so you can help them with other perks.
edit: aftercare is on here because it gives shared aura reading.
-
I like the information.

*** Answers will be anonymous to encourage honest opinions ***
Whenever someone posts a thread complaining about a perk, someone comments about how "such and such" perk is just as bad/broken on the other side.
Example:
"NOED is so broken because it rewards bad plays."
"Oh, really? Then give up your DH because that rewards your bad plays."
Some people probably don't even both to engage in posts like that because they are inevitably heated and unproductive. Nothing gets solved, no minds are changed, and it's inevitably viewed as an "us vs. them" post. So I'm making this poll because I want to know how people truly feel. Just because someone is loud doesn't mean they are right--and it doesn't mean it's a majority shared opinion. So what's your opinion? Be honest.
They're both problematic.
The only difference is that NOED can be used for memey endgame builds.
-
I'd say tapp and jeff should be higher and mikeala should be lower and higher.

EVERYTHING! Her abilities, and her speed mostly though. She's the only killer I can't loop or escape from. My friends and I are pretty good survivors too so the fact that we get killed within the first 10 minutes of going against her is a bit ridiculous but I guess it makes sense since she is a powerful evil spirit afterall. But if thats the case they should buff The Spirit too then.
what?
Onryo has easily the weakest antiloop in the game.

If mori was on death hooks, we could change effects/rate of condemned. Some status effects would be pointless: oblivious, blindness. Some would be too OP like exposed. What if the survivor fully condemned can only see a demanifested Sadako at 8m or even 6m instead of 24m?
that could be really cool.
something like "you can see sadako while she's demanifested at 6 fewer meters per condemned stack".

@Kaitsja said:
Condemned is weak and I have no idea how to rework that without making it weaker or more OP so I'm just not going to address it.
Sadako, on the other hand, I think having no slowdown on manifest/demanifest might be too strong so I'd rather see her Telephone add-on made basekit. Telephone inflicts hindered upon survivors for 3 seconds after witnessing a manifestation.
I'd rather see Sadako be stronger in chase than make her a sort-of stealth killer.
for sure.
I've thought for a long time that that should be basekit, but should last (condemned) seconds.
-
@Blueberry said:
- I agree no slowdown on Manifest/Demanifest. You don't get a speed boost or anything so I don't see why there's a slow down, it's not good enough to warrant it.
- Agree.
- Agree.
- I'd also add some small passive Condemn gain that just builds over time. Survivors need to waste time clearing it.
- Teleporting to TV's should give no global queue period. This increases her mind game potential and skill ceiling.
- Remove the lullaby while Demanifested. It makes no sense and defeats the entire point of being Undetectable.
- Significantly increase the duration of phasing after manifesting and significantly increase the time she disappears to give more mind game potential.
- Optional. Allow her to walk through pallets while Demanifested.
Agree with all of those.
I was actually planning to add a bunch of those to the list, but I got busy and just posted the list I had at the time.
Mind if I add those on?

Jonah. I don't like his lore, perks, or cosmetics.
Mikeala. She's a terrible attempt at Wiccan/neo-pagan representation. She just feels really phony. She's not in touch with nature, she's out of touch with reality. It also doesn't help that she came with a perk that encouraged homepathic healing in the middle of a pandemic. (source: I follow a philosophy of "be chill, do art, and love nature" that aligns very well with Wicca.)

I just went against a killer that was complaining that there was 3 ds' (keep in mind only 1 ds got used and it was at endgame so he just got salty)
Are killers still upset about the existence of this perk? Because as someone who plays both sides pretty equally if not a little more killer lately, I find the perk to be at the perfect state, doesn't need a buff, doesn't need a nerf. Simply if you are chased within 60 seconds of being unhooked and then downed and picked up, you stun the killer and escape and this is only active if you don't progress the game essentially, you can't heal, unhook, do gens, boon and cleanse totems. It really is just an anti-tunnel perk, if you don't go for them you have nothing to worry about or if you do, you don't mind getting a little stun before continuing on so they can't use it later.
Ds is kinda just a necessity in all survivor builds so I always expect it and also always use it.
Dead hard, I can see why people complain, ds I don't.
I used to when I was super new and got DS baited constantly, now, not so much.

I've seen this a lot from both sides. Survs who gen rush, killers who just want to 4K as soon as humanly possible, survs who get angry at other survs for doing anything other than sitting on a gen or running the killer all game, but my question is: why? I've had games go by so quickly that I barely manage to even safety pip on top of not getting any decent amount of bloodpoints out of it, and I've seen people straight up say "I want to win as fast as possible". Is winning all that matters? What about BP or pips for a sense of progression, or simply just the fun of playing the game? Do people really love playing Lobby Simulator that much? I don't want to sit on a gen all game; I like exploring, I like grabbing things from chests and cleansing totems. It isn't a race, you don't need to obtain your objective as fast as possible, so what gives?
My opinion? Forget that nonsense; open chests, do bones, meme around and throw pebbles while the killer is looking directly at you because, hey, why not?
Personally, I only ever really throw on meta perks when I've dug myself into an MMR hole and I only ever get terrible teammates and facecamping killers.
I'm not going to go easy on my opponent/s, but I'm not going to go for world record 4ks/4escapes either.

Dredge is a manifestation of nightmares and dark thoughts, which consumed an entire town, since it was a monster before it consumed everyone. it can't have they/them pronouns because of it technically being an entire town of people because of this, so as I have been using throughout this post, I deem its pronouns to be it/itself, but I also agree, stop calling the dredge a "he"
singular they is a thing.

also, I'm pretty sure the Druan (the monster the dredge really is) uses they/them pronouns in their lore.

There's literally skin where that is exactly the case cause the entity legit fused them together.
Also, based on the entity's track record with bringing multiple creatures into the realm at once, they're probably all sharing a body anyway.
Twins - already conjoined.
Clown - Maurice got maimed and kind of became part of the realm and by extension the entity.
Dredge -a bunch of corpses welded together.
Legion - ?

Lithe, Balanced Landing and Overcome all work mid-chase, so that's not the issue Killers have with Dead Hard.
it's different because those perks all have activation requirements.
DH is an on-demand extra health state/distance.
