Killer perks
Trick Or Treat (Teachable Killer level 30+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HTLDJ5R0YFQ9/trickortreak-bg.png
Here comes the surprise for your prey.
Each time a Survivor is rescued from a Hook when you are at least 16 metres away, Trick Or Treat activates:
- The Rescuer suffers from Exhausted Status Effect for the next 10 seconds and Oblivious Status Effect for the next 30 seconds.
Trick Or Treat has a cool-down of 60/45/30 seconds.
Mind-Blowing (Teachable Killer level 35+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZSXSGD6HRZ9P/mind-blowing-bg.png
You purposely left your stuff defective.
Any time the skillcheck appears while repairing a generator, the progression is paused for the duration of the Skill Check's presence.
When any generator reaches 90% progression, one Survivor repairing that generator gains a difficult Skill Check.
When the Survivor fails the Skill Check, all Survivors within 4 meters of that generator suffer from Incapacitated, Blindness and Hearing Status Effect for 8/10/12 seconds.
Succeeding the Skill Check does not grant any bonus Progression.
Fatal Blow (Teachable Killer level 40+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QU79U1E78AGG/fatalblow-bg.png
Your victim has a guardian? He'd better save his own bloody ass.
Fatal blow activates, when Survivors take 5/4/3 protection hits from a basic attack. While Fatal Blow is activated:
- Your aura is revealed to all Survivors for 5 seconds once Fatal Blow activates.
- The next hit inflicts dying upon a healthy Survivor. Fatal Blow then deactivates.
Fatal blow stays active, if:
- An injured Survivor takes protection hit.
- The Survivor, who takes protection hit, isn't knocked out due to the effects Survivor has.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
survivor perks
Photophobia (Teachable Survivor level 30+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Q724LJSQOQGK/photophobia-bg.png
You are trained to remove darkness with what you have.
After a successful Killer Blind action, the Killer is affected by the Blindness Status Effect for 12/16/20 seconds.
Photophobia guatantees a Sport Flashlight on your first completed Chest search.
- Photophobia does not guarantee specific item while using the perk Pharmacy.
Searches through Chests are 40/60/80% faster.
- The search speed does not stack with Pharmacy.
Soothsayer (Teachable Survivor level 35+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R93CGGH43SWN/soothsayer-bg.png
You perfectly know, when to achieve your goals.
While performing any action, which shows the progression bar:
- Soothsayer reveals the percentage of any action to you and 1/2/3 Survivors within 4 meters.
- Any progression speed penalty affected to you and Survivors within 4 meters by the Killer's perks is reduced by 50%.
Soothsayer does not stack with other instances of itself.
Keep Slayer At Bay (Teachable Survivor level 40+)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V050FH089BT1/keepslayeratbay-bg.png
Looks like you have an unexpected guardian, who won't let you go that easily.
Keep Slayer At Bay activates when you are on any hook except for the basement hook.
- Reveals the aura of the furthest hook, which is not the basement hook to all Survivors.
- When the Killer is within 16 meters of you for the equivalent of 30 seconds, you are transported to the furthest hook, which is not the basement hook.
- After the transportation, the Killer is unable to see the aura of you and the hook you are transported to, until you are unhooked or reach the next state of the hook.
Keep slayer at bay is permanently deactivated once the Endgame Collapse begins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
perks trivia
Soothsayer
The percentage is shown next to the action name.
If the killer uses penalty perks (e.g. coulrophobia 30/40/50%), the percentage is reduced by the half, which means that it will be 15/20/25%.
The Skill Ckech presence duration is the duration when the generator blows up when leaving the generator.
Photophobia
In case somebody misunderstand blindness effect: it's not killer blind, but the status effect duration.
Mind-Blowing
Brand New Part results cannot go beyond 90% of the progression, if that was possible possible.
Fatal Blow
The hit, that inflicts dying state is not the protection hit.
the killer perks could use minor buffs, but great concept overall!

I probably won't do the game in mini form, but I could do a specific room or two if you have any in mind.
I could also figure out how to do specific traps. (RBT would be impossible, but any of the prop ones around the map would be mostly doable)
just throw that vote in other and specify.

a killer who's shtick is exposure to cold.

I'm having trouble figuring out how and when the birds she sends out can injure someone. So I thought if she sent out birds they would be on you and if she sent out another swarm of birds that would injure you. Perhaps it was a bug or maybe she has an add-on that allows the first swarm of birds to instantly injure you? I was against her on the swamp map and I didn't see that she had an add-on that affected that but maybe I misinterpreted the power/add-ons. How do they commonly injure survivors?
at close range with no obstacles, they damage for one health state..
at long range/through objects, they swarm.
if a swarmed surv gets hit by birds, they get damaged for one health state.
-
@Marc_123 said:
For that extra Perk you need to hook people.
And this is no unhealthy gameplay, it is just gameplay. if this is his strategy, then ok.
Kindred lets you already see if he is standing near the hook.
Maybe we should implement something that when 2 or 3 Survivors only work on one gen, it is getting repaired slower and slower.
This would maybe prevent the (unhealthy) gameplay that survs do the gens so fast that the killer can´t chase them.
there is slowdown when more than one surv works on a gen. it's an efficiency reduction, lore wise, I believe.

We all know the the meme addons are basically useless. They hinder you for no real reward. The only ones that were fun to use were Clown's party bottle and Bubba's speed limiter with iridescent flesh.
However, in the last mid chapter patch, Plague got the prayer tablet fragment, which is actually viable to use and gave her a different playstyle, while also giving her a downside by weaken the vile purge. This addon should have been the standard for meme addons.
Therefore, I want to toss some ideas on reworks to these meme addons. I don't have a change for every addon, so if you have any ideas on how to rework any of the meme addons post a comment and I'll update the OP if I like it.
Trapper's Padded Jaws:
Bear traps immobilise survivors without damaging them.
Survivors can only escape bear traps by themselves on the 15th escape attempt.
Increases the time it takes to rescue other survivors from bear traps by 4.5 seconds.
Grants 100% bonus bloodpoints for trapping survivors.
Wraith's The Beast:
The terror radius of the Wraith is no longer suppressed while cloaked.
Increases the terror radius by +8 meters.
Survivors perceive the Wraith's terror radius while cloaked as if he is right behind them.
Grants 100% bonus bloodpoints for Stalking and Surprise Attack score events.
Hillbilly's Speed Limiter:
Hits with the chainsaw do not automatically trigger the dying state.
Increases turn speed of the chainsaw by 28%.
Continues the chainsaw sprint after hitting a survivor.
Grants 100% bonus bloodpoints for the Chainsaw Hit score event.
Pinhead's Bent Nail:
Hits with Possessed Chains only spawn one additional chain.
Each hit with the Possessed Chains reduces the activation time of the current chain hunt by 4 seconds.
Grants 100% bonus bloodpoints for the Chain Bound score event.
they should remove the bp cap while you use a meme addon.

And @TheGannMan will always be Spirit to me
@Elena will be Claire or Jill, one of the two

Twins are a lot of fun once you get used to them.
as for Slinger v. Oni:
Scares: Tied.
Viability: Oni, at this point.
"ohohoho, that felt good to land": uh... tied again.
survivor fun: tied.
addons: Oni, barely.

I'm not impressed by pretty much anything she has. Her strongest add-ons don't hold a candle to Wraith's strongest add-ons for example.
The trap setting speed add-ons like Rope Necklet are nice, for obvious reasons.
The trigger range add-ons like Bog Water actively work against you, because if the traps a triggered from further away, you tp and the survivor's already running away.
Trap duration like Cracked Turtle Egg is nice because it gives you that little bit more time to tp.
Revealing survivors auras through add-ons like Willow Wreath doesn't do anything for you. You would just tp and hit them.
Teleportation range add-ons like Dragonfly Wings are good, but it calls into question why she can't just teleport cross-map at base. Incoming "rAnGe CaMpInG" comments.
Scarred Hand blocking survivors would be nice if it didn't remove the ability to tp to traps. Not sure what the idea with that one was.
Granma's Heart silencing your tr and putting it on the trap is tricky, but redundant because you'd just tp and hit.
Disfigured Ear deafening people doesn't do anything.
Waterlogged shoe giving you additional speed is nice, and so is slowing the survivors down when they trip a phantasm, but losing the ability to tp is always not worth it.
Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles are her only strong add-ons, basically. Mint Rag: Let's you tp manually to a trap, with a 15-sec cooldown on that (perhaps that's not needed). Rusty Shackles: Makes your traps silent, in other words not making a phantasm appear (a model add-on imo). These still have plenty of counterplay.
Maybe you could begin to justify these overall weak add-ons with the fact that Hag's ability can* be strong, but when compared to Wraith's or Trapper's add-ons which have so much more variety of effects, I think we're missing out on what could be a creative and complete set of Hag add-ons.
some of her addons are boring, some are innefective, but they're almost all super strong.

Maybe I'm alone here I don't know but I can't have fun anymore when I play as a killer.
Either I have to sweat extremely hard to kill them with the same perks over and over which is no fun and just work or I try new thinks (like the new killer) and get bullied and genrushed in 5 minutes with a teabagging group at the exit gate as a bonus.
How are other people seeing this? Please tell me a way to have fun without having to play blight with ruin and thinkerer.
yes.
I usually have fun.
my advice is:
- Get in character.
- Focus on having fun, not just winning. I find that if I play super meta, I get arrogant and I make stupid errors. if you play in a more relaxed way, you'll probably have more fun, and win more often. that's what I find at least.
- Remember that DBD is, at its heart, about shared storytelling. it's rare for a horror villain to kill everyone in the movie.
- MMR will (eventually) give you matches at your skill level. Don't artificially boost your mmr by using ultra powerful perks all the time, and you'll have more fun. (I recommend holding off on using ruin to achieve this, try swapping it for blood favour, which is more fun anyways*)
- If you're getting ultra frustrated, take a break for a bit.
- Remember that a t-bagging survivor is a survivor losing distance in chase.
so, my advice overall is to look let MMR do its thing, and not sweat too much. Don't smurf, just don't sweat to the point you don't have fun.
*in my opinion.

Thank you for that fast response, jesterkind!
but then it's even more confusing to me, because the last survivor was on two hooks as well, only needed the last one. So, with one survivor alive, all others hooked, one on two states at once, it would still be "10 hook actions" as shown in the endscreen.
Is the text in the description misleading then? because it says "Iridecent quality needs nine or more hook actions" and I got ten?
that part is that you need to 4k, I believe.
it's just to dissuade camping, but for whatever reason, it punishes the killer if survivors have bad teammates who let them die on hook. -unless I'm just wrong.

Maybe this is a problem on pc? I played yesterday against a spirit and she had her unique chase theme. (I play on Xbox btw)

Survivors can hear her unique music. Killer can't.
no, I've heard it playing as and against her, and I'm on PC.
I guess the bug isn't effecting me or something.

I think it looks ok aesthetically, but gameplay wise it's bad. Breakable walls that create dead ends, multiple safe pallets, a lot of pallets in general. It could use some balancing changes.
I recently had a pretty funny match on the game running windows of opportunity. I was kinda playing on autopilot and I kept thinking breakable walls were pallets and running into dead ends. it was pretty funny.

So I was inspired mostly out of boredom to start a series based around builds and perks that fit each character the best based around the given lore to each character, this doesn't mean their teachable perks + 1. It more so means we will take their story, then based on that, try to build the most immersive build that we can for each killer, doesn't have the be the most strong or meta build ever as long as it somewhat works with their story and power, using wikis/tomes/power descriptions etc.
The popularity of these posts will determine how frequently I post them, but I do plan to cover most if not every killer. I also like input on what perks may fit that specific killer the best, more heads are better than one and all that! I'll try to pick three of the most fitting perks and 4th being a freebie for those bbq lovers out there. But I'll talk about more perks than just three of course. Anyways I'll hop right into it.
Rancor - To me this is a no brainer, this perk fits him by far the most out of any...it's a two in one. Nemesis seems to always find you no matter where you run and hide. The second part of it allowing you to kill your obsession which in his case are stars members so yeah perfect.
Enduring - He is unstoppable and very very persistent. This perk would help with just that, making him brush off pallets like they're nothing, and you'd also have no fear of being stunned. Also goes hand in hand with his tentacle being an absolute pallet destroyer in this game.
Iron Grasp - If you got in caught by nemesis, there's no way you'd be wiggling out like that to impede his intended destination, I think this would directly help him show his strength even further.
Lethal Pursuer - He's shown a picture of STARS members so that they could be recognized in the lore, this perk really fits that role, as your head Canon could be the entity shows him images in his head before the trial begins allowing him to go directly to where they're located at the start of the match. This is quoted from an interview from famitsu "The Pursuer's development team were also in charge of educating it; an officer would bait the Pursuer with footage of the S.T.A.R.S. members. Since the Pursuer is intelligent, it understood and carried out its orders."
Remember Me - Yeah it's all about attacking your obsession over and over but it doesn't directly effect them, moreso effects everyone else but them and it's why I chose against this specific perk.
Predator - Yeah it'd fit and explain how he can find and track someone so well but he already has a tracking perk or chase perk that fits him better so yeah!
Whispers - This would honestly fit him pretty darn well too, as there's basically no hiding from a killer who has this perk.
Unrelenting - If anyone fits the idea of this perk it's Nemesis but sadly it does way too little, if this perk is buffed one day, maybe then I'll consider it.
Tinkerer - Really fits Nemesis because of how annoying and persistent it can make facing the killer using this perk feel. But I'm a tiny bit iffy on it because he's not really all that stealthy.
Okay I'll probably edit this if someone has a perk I didn't think of that fits him pretty well. Oh and if you wanna be extra then use the broken recovery coin add-on because in the games there was only one vaccine for Jill.
Here's what I think the perks that fit him the most are:
Rancor, Tinkerer, Lethal Pursuer/Whispers, and Enduring/Iron Grasp
If I had to make a build for him with three perks and one freebie, it'd probably be...Rancor, Enduring, Lethal Pursuer + Freebie
Now if it was all 4 perks then it'd be...Rancor, Enduring, Lethal Pursuer, Tinkerer
What do you guys think? Is there a better perk combination that would fit his lore more adequately or did I do well with my choices? I'd love to hear from other people. Because I'm a little iffy on some things but I'm 100% confident in rancor being perfect on him.
Immersive Build Series II: Demogorgon - SOON
for the freebie, nemesis. obviously.

I've seen a few theories and rumors here and there that his power had a certain "Old Freddy" touch to it.
He would only interact with Survivors once they were in the upside down, while remaining invisible to those who he hadn't pulled yet. Unlike Freddy and his lullaby, Survivors would be alerted to his presence by blinking lights in the trial.
It is unknown if the Upside Down would have the same benefits the Dream World had, such as action speed penalty or aura reveal.
But then again, these are just theories and rumors.
That's actually kinda what I was thinking.

I just went and looked at his add-on's, what kind of add-ons were you talking about, which ones?
the "aura reading while in the upside down" ones.

Yep. I'm in NA and get matched with people in SA (roughly 1,500 miles or 2400km away) on a regular basis. And that is only for the closest city to their border. It's likely even further way.
O.K, because I'm in North America, and I'm getting paired with people from Japan.
