Predator and alien may be owned by the same license holder, but the complications arise with dutch being part of predator 1, and being an actor's likeness, and the character not being a part of the aliens vs predator movies themselves which was more of a collaberation thing in itself. The grid alien fits because aliens were part of both the alien movies and aliens vs predator which the licence holders own both of, but dutch has absolutely nothing to do with aliens ans has never seen one except for maybe comics and an arcade game. He would have to come in a predator chapter. And the predator itself could have an aliens vs predator skin for example.
Yeah, that makes sense.

I could see arnold joining randomly as himself. Though people might boycott over political views. If any of these actors were to join though, there would be no legendary skins of roles they played as those would be seperate licence holders entirely and the devs stated they will not put 1 licence as a skin for an existing license, which is why nic cage has none of his movie skins.
Disliking Arnold's opinion doesn't stop me from enjoying him as an actor and a character, and if others don't want him in the game because of what he said, that is a-okay, but that don't mean others can't want him in. Also learning what you wrote, I may just edit the post a bit, but would Dutch as a Legendary Set for Ellen Ripley be an exception? I had that in my head for a while. Alien and Predator are two different licenses, but they're both owned by Disney. It'd also be good if Dutch were his own survivor along side Predator, with or without the Arnold likeness, but none the less.

I would consider it different, yes. The way I see it, Bruce is Ash but Ash is not Bruce.
I think my biggest issue with real people being in games like DBD is the fact that they are REAL. The characters they play can reasonably be separated from them, but what happens when the real person gets into some form of controversy, or something happens and they die? It just wouldn't feel right throwing them onto meat hooks, or sawing them in half with a chainsaw, or crushing their skull, or whatever other horrific acts can be applied to them, especially if it wasn't natural causes that sadly took them.
But maybe I'm just weird like that.
I get your perspective. In fact, I respect it. Seeing a deceased celebrity that didn't go out from natural causes get added to a game about running from a killer might be a bit uncomfortable for some people, maybe even controversial.
Vincent Price was one of those who passed away from natural causes, I'm sure there's someone out there who'd like to play as a famous actor from the 50s in memory of them. But if it was someone that DIDN'T pass away from natural causes, like Tupac or xtentaction, then yeah, that'd be a questionable choice, even if there's still a lot of people that still like their music.
And again, any celebrity that might cause controversy, BHVR could just remove them like they did with Leatherface's unique survivor faces, WITH COMPENSATION, it's only fair that if BHVR were to remove Nicolas Cage due to any potentially harmful controversy, if BHVR removed him altogether and no one could play as him anymore, the people who bought Nick Cage get paid back their Auric Cells, every purchase of cosmetics paid back to them. Better to lose a short-term amount of money than experience a long-term diminish of reputation.
-
@VolantConch1719 said:
None of the above. Real people don't belong in games about brutally maiming, stabbing, torturing, and just all-around cruelty towards them. It's why, despite having 2 of my favorite perks, Nick Cage is my least favorite Survivor. It just feels in poor taste.
Characters that they play are fair game, even if they're wholly original creations where the selling point is the celebrity's likeness, but not the celebrity's themselves. Especially none that are deceased. That's just asking for controversy.
If it was an OG survivor who happened to be given the likeness of a celebrity, permitted by them, technically a half-licenced, half-original survivor, would it really be any different than just calling them their IRL name? I'm not disagreeing with you, but Ash Williams was still voiced by and depicted as Bruce Campbell, a real life person.
Nancy and Steve would still be Natalia Dyar and Joe Keery, because while they don't have their voice, they still have their likeness. Nicolas Cage didn't have a significant role as a horror character, though he's been in plenty of horror movies, so I assume it would've been simple at the time to have Nicolas Cage come to the game as himself, but a fictional, more expressive version of him. And even if there happened to be controversy from the celebrities, BHVR could just remove them.
Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just stating the facts. If it was something like an IRL politician or an IRL serial killer, then yeah, that's probably going a bit far.

How would SW work?
Idk, I just thought it'd be metal if I was being chased by Darth Vader. Imagine using the force to push survivors away or to reel them in. Not sure what cosmetics Vader would have though, except maybe as Anakin.
It'd be like D&D and Castlevania where it's a couple of Star Wars characters, with some Star Wars themed outfits, basically. It would depend entirely on whether or not Disney is willing to let Luke Skywalker get deboned by Vecna, or turned into a human beverage dispenser by Dracula.

OMG!!! all the legendary set ideas are genius, literal perfection. I haven't even played Dead Rising but I've watched some clips of it, and I love how silly of a game it is but also the lore and everything is awesome. But this concept made me actually want to check it out because all of this seems so cool!
If you're interested, I'd recommend checking out the OG on Xbox 360, if you have one; if not, it's probably on Steam. I'm currently playing it, it's a blast so far. I will warn you, from my experience, the game is difficult, but the fun kind of difficult. Make sure to save when you get the chance cause you'll lose progress when you die. Had to beat the clown twice after the guy I was escorting hit me with a frying pan, you're also going to be guiding survivors to the safe house, so far for me, it's been around 1-2 people so far and at one point it was 3, and you will have to carry some of them, if they fall behind just spam Y, works like a charm. Part of the fun is the chaos, though, I will say. I got pretty immersed making sure survivors get to the safe house, and then rage they get caught by the zombies. Not the toxic kind of rage, but the silly kind. "Aaron, just come to the door already! I'm carrying this grieving mother on my back and your playing "Zombie Bearhugs!", you disappointment!" Also, to find save points, just look for the S's located on the map. You can also use the bathroom stalls to save your game. Eventually, you begin to know your way around the mall. Hope this helped๐

So what youโre saying is that thereโs a high probability Jason could be the solo licensed killer in march?
Doing my own research, "probably", yes. But then again he could be saved for the next Anniversary chapter. Cause we all know Friday The 13th is just too iconic. If Bhvr was able to afford a big IP like ALIEN, then possibly they could afford to pay New Line Cinema and Paramount, along with Sean Cunninghaโ... Okay, he's definitely a paragraph... I'm mostly just making predictions for what it would look or sound like, if he were to be the March Killer. We did see him join Multiverses earlier this year. Though the connections point to him likely being the March Killer, it could be Predator, for all we know. Or it could be another semi-horror chapter; could be BioShock or even Fallout, or some other property that could have an iconic villain who is threatening enough to be added to the game.
Like Darth Vader...

That's not just immersion breaking, that's game breaking. Those emotes are 360's on steroids. It's so funny lmao
Yeah, you're not wrong, it's pretty funny. As immersion breaking as it is, I still probably wouldn't mind it, as long as they'd make it where you can't 360 break dance the Killer. As you're looping him, do the Marcarena and it'll confuse them. The emote should just hold them in place. I wouldn't mind them adding dancing emotes though. Reminds me of Friday the 13th game, minus Jason, of course. I'd simply prefer things that are "of character." And not like Fortnite.
-
That would be a good example of immersion breaking. As long as it's not stuff like that, I'm still for Emotes being in the game. Like the simple pointing and "Follow Me!" actions we currently have.

Pyramid Head I think will still have a unique niche of his cages, because I imagine we've still got basekit BT on the remote hooks.
On Pyramid Head cages, you don't, and now you have 2 killers who can potentially catch an uncaged... 1 of whom wasn't across the other side of the map from where you spawned... could be quite nasty ๐
Its hard to imagine what form the powers are gonna take.... if they're very strong, we're gonna get power duos meta, something that already is gonna be a thing with certain character combos at base (Plague and Legion will be incredible with almost anyone, but especially Spirit/Oni/Twins).
If you make them weak, it's like why have them in the game?... *shrug*.
Thisnleads me to think the powers will be strong, but due to the power of these potential synergies, I wonder if there will be a KWF... or if it'll be random queue only.
If the intent of the queue is for it to be fun, random queue is the way it'll stay mostly fun... but if we have KWF, it's hard to not see it become a sweat fest ๐ค
But we will also get memes with KWF as well... (Billy/Bubba, Pig/Ghostface, Trapper/Hag)... so worth it?
I say it'd probably worth it, for now at least. ๐ค

Square Enix will never allow Tifa to be in a game where she gets thrown on meat hooks and has her guts ripped out by Freddy Krueger. If Final Fantasy ever made it into DBD I imagine it would have to come from one of the M rated games like FF 16.
Opinion respected. I'm sure that just because Final Fantasy was in the survey, it wouldn't mean they're guaranteed to add it as an actual chapter. Maybe, maybe not. I still thought that it'd be fun to make a concept, because you never know. I mostly went for what was currently mainstream. I think Tifa fits the role of base Survivor more than Cloud, or Clive Rosefield. But then again, we may be get either a Belmont or Alucard for the Castlevania chapter; what would I know at this point? I do believe though that Square would make easy money from adding fan favorites from the series. I recon they'll start resorting to non-horror chapters once they start running out of horror or semi-horror IPs. I might be sounding like an idiot. So far, IMO we've seen a bit of this with the Rainbow Six Seige collab. We've seen this plenty of times, with Trickster and Skull Merchant. We might get Final Fantasy, 50/50. But anyway, thanks for reading. ๐
-
There was also games like Nier: Automata, Persona, Metal Gear, and even Doom in the survey. Things that were either NOT horror or really wouldn't work as an official chapter. I recon, and go figure, most of these is to sell cosmetics.

I guess I can imagine her having the ability to simply weave webs, like all spiders do. It could work like Clown's gas or Pinhead's chains where it drastically slows down the Survivors, and like Trapper where she'll grab you if you get put in time. She could also have little Spider babies that Survivor's have to fight off, could also be a unique Perk. "Enemy: Arachnophobia" or something. A fun name for her could be "The Spider Queen."
-
Out of all of these I've put in, I'd say "Evil Superhero", call him "The Savior" or something. It's been done quite a few times. Injustice Superman, Omni-Man, Homelander, Bright-Burn etc; I'd like to see Bhvr's take on this concept. My second option would be the Giant Spider. Last Year accomplished having a giant spider, I think it's about time Bhvr takes the risk of adding their first non-humanoid, bipedal beast killer. Third option would probably be The Criminal, because I played too much Saints Row 2.

Absolutely fair. We could get a giant spider, and The Arachne could be an Ultra-Rare set for the Greek Legends collection, potentially with a unique mori.

Definitely any horror ajecent anime or anything super violent like Guts could potentially be considered for a crossover. Hellsing, Tokyo Ghoul, Parasite and Death Note could also work.
Of course, mainly for skins. I could see a lot of potential for just about anything
Honestly, I think Death Note would make for a potential chapter, with Light as the Killer. If not, he'd make a good Legendary set, Survivor or Killer. Some people might not want an anime chapte; I think Death Note could be iconic enough for a chapter, it got a parody on the Simpsons' 'Treehouse of Horror'. If not, I'm definitely fine with seeing any of these as set collections.

Mr. X would be a great Legendary.
As a side, I'd much rather Lady Dimitrescu be a killer for a Chapter 3 (if ever there is one) than a skin. I don't think her powers suit The Artist.
I'd definitely like for them to do a 'Winters Saga' with Lady D as an official Killer, with Ethan Winters (or Rose) and maybe Ashley Graham as Survivors, of course with the following in this Poll. It's just the matter of whether or not it's possible. The only reason I find it difficult for Lady D to be implemented is due to her height, not saying it ain't possible. Chucky's been doing very well. Maybe she can have a unique animation where she ducks her head as she walks through doorways, and similar to Pinhead's vault animation, she could vault by manifesting into a swarm of bugs. Otherwise, I think she could make for a good Arist set; take away the ink and the crows, and replace it with a cigarette holder that summons a swarm of bugs, though it depends on whether or not Bhvr will be willing to make the risk of changing the powers visually in anyway. I'd definitely buy cosmetics for my Killer Powers if it means I get a Birkin that doesn't use Blight serum instead of the G-Virus. Also, Mr. X would DEFINITELY make for the perfect Nemesis skin, again just give him unique sounds and animation with a unique Mori, and surely, he'll be perfect.

As much as I think the map looks absolutely perfect, the pallet placement is a bit excessive and there too close together in some areas, and there's some loops where there's two pallets literally sitting next two each other, if not in more than one loop. And as much as I usually don't mind big maps, in fact I love them, running around the map, though you could just level it down a bit, slightly push it together like an accordion ๐ช, and I probably wouldn't notice the difference.
-
While it's a bit hard to navigate the first time, it's not really that big, though like other maps, there could be some unnecessary clutter, other than that, that's about it.
-
Garden of Pain needs a complete rework, with better gen placement with nerfed loops and pallets, and not only that... But PLEASE get rid of the poopy-brown filter and replace it with Greenville Square's filter, as it would look more aesthetically pleasing. Repurpose it, if you have to; the fact it's in the same realm as Greenville Square is clashing. Make Greenvile its own official realm. Make Haddie the third BFF of Mikaela's group, I don't care. Just make the Garden of Joy play AND LOOK better, please. Thank you. ๐
-
This is the one where Shack is smack dab in the middle, right? This might be a hot take, but, could you guys add that scrapped Sawmall building? It's the only map that besides old Shelter Woods that doesn't have a main building. Also, can Farm please be taken place at night again? I miss when it had that orangey-brown filter, and it was all dark and gritty, not sunny. Idc about people complaining that Dbd maps being to dark, it's a horror game. Maybe they could add a Day/Night cycle for specific maps.
-
Navigation needs a bit of improvement, with less pallets being close together in certain areas.

Yeah, I can imagine it kind of being like Haddonfield, except it's the neon streets of Seoul (I think that's the city). If they could somehow give us heavy rain without it interfering with gameplay or looking dull, then it'd be a bonus W for Bhvr.
-
Thinking about it now, the Nightclub could work as a main building for the City / Allyways map, if done right.

I'd rather they keep these sort of collabs as a once in a while novelty thing, not something they do consistently. I'd prefer they put more focus on original cosmetic collections.
Absolutely valid, I can see them doing collabs like these maybe a few times say, per couple years? Kind of like with the AOT collab. I just thought it'd be fun to put this poll up. Who wouldn't think about playing as Ozzie Ozborne? And Rob Zombie's been in House of 1000 Corpses, so he has Nick Cage potential in some capacity. But anyway, thanks for reading this Poll, great to have you.๐
-
It's not a secret you could easily abuse Boil Over in the basement parts of the map, same with Haddonfield. It would entice Killer's to slug that person to bleed to death. I would know, I was the one he slugged. They need to do something about that. Other than that, I don't see any issues... besides everything else. The vaults, the pallets, the windows, collision, everything is just cluttered and there's too many safe points for Killers to keep track of. Even if this gets fixed, I doubt anyone would miss it if we ever get an OG Freddy map, if it's possible. (Please let it happen, I don't care about this map. Just give us OG Freddy!!!)
-
My one request would be if they somehow bring back the old filter, maybe in the form of a potential "Day/Night" cycle, and if possible, make the main building look a bit more abandoned. I'd say fix whatever gives SWFs more of an advantage against Killers than it should. Other than that, I don't seem to have much of the problem with the map besides it being set in daytime, and not looking as abandoned as it once did.
-
So far, Backwater Swamp is the only realm in Dead By Daylight that hasn't had a visual rework yet. While some do genuinely like it, a lot of people are still waiting, as both parties AND in between equally dislike it. I'm sure everyone would be happy with it, if there was a bit of adjustments here and there, and if the visuals look more appealing. For me personally, just keep the dark, cloudy filter and change the rest. Make it look like you're in an actual swamp in Louisiana, with maybe some water at ankle level for details; give Trapper that well-deserved buff he's been needing. Maybe add some neon lights for color. And if possible... please don't remove the main building crow sounds that indicate when someone enters a building, as I think it's what makes it more unique out of the rest. Otherwise, if you do, could you transfer it to Erie of Crows? It's in the name, and I like the idea of maps with consequences, like indoor maps without breakable walls; each could have their own pros and cons, while potentially making them as balanced as they can be, but yeah that's just my hot take on the matter. It'd also be a good excuse to add a third Swamp map once you remodel the realm, if the feedback is positive.
-
Hello, everyone. From what I can tell, no one seems to be a fan of the "Survivor Stamina Bars" idea. I figured I'd try to make it seem as balance as it could be, though if it were in a PTB, it probably wouldn't work AS good as it would on a sheet of paper. And regardless, after 7 years, I doubt anyone would like the idea of Stamina Bars. It just came to thought, so that's why I made this Poll. Something to help Killers get the upper hand. Not my best idea. Regardless, I respect your opinion and thank you for viewing the Poll. ๐๏ธ
-
I found you through one of my Polls. I like this concept. It's fair and simple, and it respects Freddy's lore. This seems like a dream. (Pun intended.) Maybe, one day, we'll see something similar to this. Heard in one guy's video that, appearently, devs be talking that Freddy, along with Michael, is definitely getting "looked at". Maybe we'll see something happen at the second half of 2024, I could be wrong, till then, who knows. But regardless, I love this concept. Thanks for sharing this with us.

The rights of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise are difficult to navigate at the moment. Warner Brothers still owns the international rights for the IP, but the Craven estate owns the North American rights and has since 2019.
To get classic Freddy BHVR would need to play ball with Warner Brothers (who are apparently incredibly stingy with their IPs- Fred didn't get anything for years when they owned all of it) as well as the Craven estate, who might want to play ball either- allegedly, Blumhouse has been interested in rebooting ANOES but the Craven estate has priced the IP too high for them. All 3 parties would need to come to an agreement, and considering how tough it was for BHVR to grab Nightmare years ago, it's not a great position for them.
If they did, though, Robert Englund would almost certainly be game. He loves the character and has done voice acting for him before (MK9), and the main reason he's retired from Krueger is because he's "too old and thick" to do fight scenes any more.
I honestly did not know he actually voiced Freddy in MK9!!! It sounded exactly like him, too. Perhaps this may be a stretch, but if I'm not wrong, Stephen King's "IT" is also owned by Warner. Maybe if BHVR managed to get the Pennywise license, and it was successful, perhaps Warner would be convinced into considering trading in OG Freddy. I might be delusional, who knows.
Hopefully one day, we'll see Robert Englund in the game, as the Dream Demon we love, and that character that he enjoys. And not as Reboot Freddy.

@[Deleted User] said:
Anything is possible. Though I thought I read that Robert englund stated that he has retired playing Freddy. If thatโs that case voice lines might not happen.
Well, from one source, he's stated that he retired form being Freddy, simply because he's too old. All he'd have to do in this case is voice him. At the end though, it's entirely up to him whether or not he'd be interested in taking part.

Or with Chris, you could give him a variation of Village Chris, with the black jacket. And Carlos, well, you could just change his hair to OG Carlos. You know, like Fortnite with the banana, the cat and the fish guy. I'm not comparing this to Fortnite, of course; just giving an example. I really do want an Alien Chapter. Mainly for a map. The nest idea is cool, but I do worry that the survivors not having many ways to combat impregnation will just all die to a killer that decides to run a gen slowdown build after 2 or more survivors are impregnated. I saw the flamethrower, but there's no info on how that spawns or how easy it is to use.
I did have some input on the perks:
Invasive doesn't sound like a perk. Sounds like a nerf. You always want to know as much about the survivors as you can.
Breaking Quarantine's only benefit is that you know the killer is near the hatch and possibly camping it. If the killer is stealth their aura won't appear unless this perk overrides that. Then the notification that you are at a door is half of the perk No Way Out which is a Killer perk.
Boon: Signing Off is possibly better than Dark Theory, but the amount of killers who get Killer Instinct is less than half. It would be situationally good vs Wesker, Twins, Nemesis, Legion, Dredge, Demogorgon and Artist.
I accidently wrote Oblivious instead of "Undetectable". Thank you for the feedback, and for your opinion.
