I don't bother killing survivors anymore, but if one survivor does give me a particularly annoying chase I will give them the head 'yes' nod and then hook them.

Yes. There's only a 200 point difference in your highest MMR. And lowest mmr
So what you are saying is that you have to tank the MMR of every killer in order to prevent a higher MMR killer from continuously dragging you back upwards? Thats annoying.
-
I'm assuming it'll be some sort of teleportation power, maybe using wells or just 'shadows' she places on the ground. Similar to mint rag hag.

I'm also interested in hearing if there's a relationship between individual killer MMR and general MMR. Sometimes a killer I haven't played in a long time will give me sweaty games.
Well if I'm not mistaken its already confirmed that your highest rated MMR killer influences the rating of your other killers. To what degree is unknown and its unknown if it goes in reverse as well.
-
No. Let a killer be good.
-
Its because the MMR of all survivors is averaged across the team. If you are a 10,000 MMR survivor with 3 0 MMR survivors, that means the team still has an average MMR of 2,500 for a 1900 MMR killer.
The only way to prevent this is by playing in a SWF where your MMR in relation to your teammates does not matter.

Bubba does have a cooldown, he has to wait for his charges to come back.
-
It would be fine. But don't get upset if it just means people get slugged for a minute instead of picked up immediately instead.

I guess ghost face mark being removed when using snowmen is going to stay then. 😐
Event is gonna be over before they fix that, just like the bug with killers and twisted hooks only giving 1 progress no matter what towards the halloween challenge.

It's 30.
Normal Tier Up = 5 points x 2 = 10
Tombstone = 10 additional points
Hair = 10 additional points
Ah, my mistake. Still thats only 3 survivors stalked.

@HagathaSimmons said:
Also, ranks aren’t a thing anymore. So the “rank ones” are just survivors who played a lot this month. MMR is hidden.
If its the 14th and you are facing rank 1 survivors, you are gonna have a bad time.
-
I've completely stopped killing survivors (barring hook miscounting accidents) because I hate gaining MMR since its such a completely miserable experience at high MMR. In all this time that I haven't been killing survivors intentionally I've learned one thing.
Survivors are the most toxic scum to exist. The only time they act humble for a second is if you completely smash them. So now I main spirit, 8 hook before a single gen is completed, and then just farm for my 29,600 points and negative MMR.
-
It costs 5 stalk points per tier, there are 40.4 stalk points per match. The infinite T3 addons add 400% stalking necessary to achieve tier 3. This in total is only 25 stalk points between tier 1 -> 2 and tier 2 -> 3. So Myers only needs to stalk 2 and a half survivors for infinite T3.

Huntress Lullaby.

When grabs get validated instead of some worthless ass swing change.
-
This reminds me of watching McLean reacting to Scott Jund's patch 7.0 video when it got to the billy changes and the oni drift addon in particular and he just shuts it down and goes "No let killers be different" and my first thought was "Why don't you let killers be actually good then?"
Honestly at this point I don't think Hillbilly should bump anymore at all unless hes straight up grinding into the side of a wall face first.
-
I think its strange how people say grades aren't the same as MMR, but they are still a very clear example of skill, or at the very least in killers cases, high numbers of kills. I mean say junk all you want about how grades are just a measure of who plays the most, but if you don't kill anyone as killer, you don't pip. And as a survivor its very easy to get trapped in a cycle of pipping, and getting camped/tunneled so you just constantly gain and lose the same pip over and over.
So people with high grades play moderately well, especially the earlier in the season they get a high grade. If its the 14th and you are against some iri 1 survivors, you are gonna have a bad time.
-
Sounds good on paper but so long as they are only booning that means old undying would just basically be infinite.
Actually you know what, that could work.
-
Unpopular opinion, but considering the deactivation on nearly everything, I would consider it alright if DS activated on both hook states now. I mean, you don't stop getting tunneled just because you DS the killer once.
-
->Equip Boon: Shadow Step
->Do bones
-
No, you aren't supposed to save someone that is getting face camped. Do gens, leave. Nuff said. Survivors reward facecamping killers with altruism since only good/coordinated survivors can get away with altruism.
-
It is unlikely that event items such as the 4th anniversary set will become available again. If they were going to become available again the most likely time to find out would have been the 5th anniversary. Which they weren't, skins for David and Wraith were released instead. Now obviously this could possibly change as design philosophies change, but I would suggest just looking into other dark cosmetics/skins if you want to do some stealthy blending playstyle.
-
Honestly though, why would you use any other kind of regression when pain resonance exists.

Jolt is definitely better then surge I don't know what you guys are on about
Surge is a drink 😂
Jolt is also a drink.

I've been having great success with Retribution + Plaything when it comes to getting the 5 spots open. The real problem is that I usually wait until all 5 are ready, and then ignite them all at once. And at that point its basically just a "win more" after 75~ seconds of aura reading.
-
Its because of the loop money system. It prioritizes placing stronger loops in more common places while one of the cheapest loops, the 'z' wall, fills in the surrounding dead zone edges.
It is notoriously known to be an infinite for killers that do not mind game.
-
I'm only using the Ghostface knife because an icicle is way cooler than his 15th plain hunting knife. (w/ the classic ghostface body, and viper ghost mask)
For Spirit I had the sword and head cosmetic on with the white school girl body (awkward sentence). But I swapped back to my usual teeth of wrath head instead since I prefer the way the hair flows.

Use STBFL...
How can I use STBFL with all this gen regression and tracking in my build? Its almost like killers should have 5-6 perk slots and not just the same amount as survivors.
-
I usually aim to get at least the 4 unique hooks for my BBQ stacks, but after that I really only go up to 8 hooks anyway at max and after that I'l just slug people instead or pick them/drop them until they escape grasp.
-
Yeah honestly I don't hear survivors saying that ######### to other survivors when they are out here bullying and forcing 0 hook games onto killers. I was playing yesterday because of the event starting and I have never been griefed more in all my time playing DBD and I've never had so many games in a row where all BBQ stacks were just straight up denied.
-
I'm confused, why wouldn't leatherface down through the snow men? He downs through BT all the time, and you don't even get a speed boost from the snowman hit.

This has nothing to do with the snowmen.
What do you want? Survivors handed to you by themselves to get hooks?
Yeah, that would be nice. Considering I don't even bother killing survivors to begin with its kinda selfish how many survivors are forcing 0 hooks onto me.
-
Survivors have been mostly preventing me from getting any hooks so, I guess I can't blame them?
-
I've mostly just had miserable games where survivors do everything they can to deny any hooks.

Not sure what I'm supposed to do with that comment.
If you're not playing seriously then why... are you mad? They only offer a (slight) advantage in competitive-approach matches, if you're playing casually then they're a funny little disguise mechanic.
Oh I'm not mad, I'm just pointing out if I take this game less seriously I might as well quit.
-
@jesterkind said:
They don't get a speed boost, and you DO get a free cosmetic out of it.
This is a fun addition. Don't take it so seriously, it's just a silly little snowman disguise survivors can take and it's only gonna last for as long as this little event.
This community really will complain about anything...
If I play any less seriously I might as well take valium and go to bed
-
I mostly only find it annoying if they were gonna wait all that time anyway, you might as well let me hit you with my power for the extra 300-800 deviousness and escape. The waiting until the very last second to leave is childish and immature.
-
So far I've only had bully squads of survivors.
-
Ruin is complete trash, I've dropped it for my new love Pain Resonance
-
I don't really have anything to say about other killers. All I know is I play fair, only bother for 8 hooks, and bring cake. Or, I used to bring cake.
-
@Shroompy said:
I mean thats pretty easy to deal with, if theyre surrounding you that means theyre not on gens
Id much rather a wiggles squad than your generic meta build with medkits/toolboxes
@jesterkind said:
Not the direction I thought this was going to go in lmao
Surely that's more fun than them being hyper efficient and sticking on gens? I'd rather survivors that play ballsy like that, it's more interesting to deal with.
No, only 3 of them are doing this at a time. The 4th man is on gens. I've never been denied of so many BBQ stacks in successive matches before.
-
From a killer's perspective I would say its just annoying. Theres nothing really wrong with it per se, but everyone feels differently about it. Like for example, I've had a lot of games where I don't see a single survivor the entire game. Not once, I'll triple hook the rest of their entire team and see not hide or hair of them. And then at the end they'll make a mistake and I'll finally catch them, now normally I wouldn't really care for the extra kill but I want my BBQ stack, so guess who is getting one hooked?
So you kinda have to accept the consequences of how you play sometimes. Just like how that merciless looping god that ran the killer for 92 gens has to accept getting face camped to death after.
I wouldn't say it takes no skill, it just takes /different/ skill. However there is the very real problem that given an infinite amount of time, you will be found eventually and normally 'infinite' is really not that much time at all. So I would say you should probably polish up your looping skills, or swap in windows of opportunity so you can at least pretend to be a looper for a bit longer.

@Dino7281 said:
I would make hook based, but only 1. That's still more than double you can possibly gain per game.
2 per hook would be just too strong imo. That effect is not bad at all, it's quite good. Just requirement is bad.
If you gained 2 tokens, you would actually just have extended lunge whole game since first hook. You know, two hits should be downed survivor = more tokens.
Alternative would be 2 tokens per unique hooked survivor. 8 per game is still more than 5, so buff and this way it would help you in early game way more and promotes hooking different survivors, which is always good thing to get from a perk. So that way might be better.
Well I said 2 tokens under the assumption that about half of them would end up wasted for one reason or another, ending up with the 11 or so 'effective' tokens. As well as to make the 'management' of tokens a more pressing concern of the perk.
I'm unclear why killers deserve so few uses of their perks, especially when gated behind avenues of skill (e.g. successfully outplaying, downing, and hooking a survivor).
-
Technically, since it is being hit validated, it is possible for survivors to 'appear' that they began their dead hard and are hit. (From their side.) But in this case you should not end up exhausted.
-
Dude what, vommy mommy is god tier right now in this CoH meta. SSS-rank, she puts nurse to shame. Completely unstoppable every match with blood favor.
-
I literally don't even kill survivors anymore. I get 8 hooks and then I just farm with them until they leave. Way less stressful.
-
I wouldn't say its the only acceptable way to play. Really its just a subskill of the overall game that you'll acquire over time as you become more comfortable. If you are wanting to get into looping I would strongly recommend Windows of Opportunity from Kate, I still run it after 1500 hours just because you can't replace the information given in solo queue over the course of a match.
-
Nobody ever gets hatch in my games anymore
Because I don't kill survivors anymore, so they all have to leave out the gates.
-
Honestly, there should be 5 hooks baseline and basement hooks should also apply scourge effects, and monstrous shrine should be retroactively turned into a scourge hook.
-
Honestly as killer I don't bother killing survivors and I've found the game to be a lot more enjoyable. Just get my 8 hooks and then farm.
