They really are slowly but surely turning the Killers into the survivors and vice versa lol. Next game mechanic will let survivors have the ability to subdue the Killer and put him on a hook, once all the Gens are done~
-
Surprised Myers didn’t get the Freddy treatment, TBH.
-
I’ve been and still am on Hiatus. I’m finally getting a PS5 after 8 months (?) after it’s release and figured I’d check back here, after the last 6-7 months of not playing, and see how things are going.
Looks like I haven’t missed much. Just more bad decisions from the Devs, more bugs to get accumulated with and the continued usual BS. Lol. I wish VHS was releasing on console upon release. I’m a huge fan for that Doll Master Killer. (Was he called DollMouth?). Game looks fun~

Maybe they should add a system to where when the killer is close to the hook the sacrifice timer stops or is slowed 🤔🤔🤔?
That’s when survivors looped around hook to keep hooked survivor alive long enough to first pop those gens. We’ve actually already had this system, survivors abused their new toy so they took it away~
-
At the very least they should make absolutely sure that two perks don’t have similar pictures. That shadowborn and lightborn can eat me. I struggle when time is running out to change perks and I just realized they have four flashlights. Nearly always slap on the wrong perk.
-
I get enough harassment from messages from survivors on my console, rather not also have them trying to cry whine and degrade me in post game chat too.
-
Bro…free killers need to be nerfed and less fun. DLC is $$$.
-
Not a thing. Knowing BHVR. It will probably take another year to implement.
They wanna do it after the establish a working MMR (lolz)

Y'all really cannot get over the guy's POV, huh? I was just trying to share a cool trick I saw on youtube.
Somebody will probably be enlightened and appreciate the topic. Don’t take this forum too seriously, we got a lotta folks and jokes.
-
Even Twins players who may not want to camp are semi-forced to.
- hit with Char
- change and chase a Vic
- knockdown
- return to Char and walk over
- pick Up and, obviously, go to ‘nearest’ hook.
RIGHT HERE, THIS MOMENT
we now have both Char and Vic near hooked survivor and the player only having control over one of them. You would literally have to walk away both of them to “not camp”.
Ya know what would be a simple fix? Being able to scoop up Victor and go hunt the next person (together). Killer was built to camp. I blame Devs for this one~
-
Forcing us in place let’s them gather data they can promptly ignore and manipulate before vaguely sharing. Duh.
-
Nothing wrong with spreading tips and tricks. True taught me this awhile back.
-
Add old hillbilly and old Freddy. Leave new hillbilly and new Freddy.
Compare stats after 3 months~
-
Ohhhh baby! A TRIPLE!
-
Don’t play on console.
-
Plague was the most fun on release and survivors choosing not to cleanse themselves or Plague choosing not to cleanse fountains were both fun and interesting strategies~
(I was, temporarily, a Plague Main who only used sickness and had a ton of fun. Now I can’t stop survivors from spamming fountains and forcing my secondary power on me when the use all fountains)
-
For the record, I like the grind, I also want to grind out all my P3. What I DONT want is a grind with basically no meaning. I can not realistically justify the need to P3 when what I gain from it is nearly 💯% pointless.
-
Sounds like an apologetic bow before the hardened decision to abandon you. That’s how I would have taken it. Had it been multiple t-bags then I would assume he was mocking you and happy to escape without you~
-
i did this once, very regretful decision. Took a year to get me back in a decent spot. Now I do this…
- Get everyone to lvl 50
- Get a decent build on everyone
- Decide which killer I want to sacrifice/ignore for a bit and prestige them
- Return Killer to any decent spot…choose another (repeat)
All at once isnt the strat, your just limiting yourself too much on who you can play comfortably and digging a hole for yourself.
-
I like the idea, but I’d hope that when survivor perks reveal a killer then he also is forcibly “slowed” down to regular speed. Knowing somebody can see me zipping around is silly and would make me feel embarrassed to play Myers. As suggested, it should be something ‘unseen’.
BHVR created Ghostface though and his mechanic would probably be recycled for this idea and honestly…not that reliable. So while I like this idea, rather they not try this~
-
My brain always adds up all the survivor points together and compares them to my Killer BP. Survivors, collectively, are still earning a lot of points. Just it’s distributed unevenly based off each individuals performance among the ‘team’. I rarely feel like I earned a ton more BP then survivors, because I didn’t, I just suffered more so I could keep my BP and not split it among three others~
-
Using this suggested quiz that everyone here is using… I got Wraith.
-
He needed to be less powerful and less used so you could buy some DLC killers~

Taken straight from the dev update of Jan 2021
Take a read for yourself: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217721
In January? Hell it hasn’t even been a year yet, anything mentioned has at least a year before it has even a remote chance of being implemented.
If you really want this sooner, then convince the community they “hate” it and BHVR will have it ready by Sunday~

Killer: Freddy was the reason I got into this game on his release so he was my first killer to play.
Survivor: Meg since I saw alot of people playing her when I was killer so I thought she was good lol.
Same. Freddy, also my introduction to the game.
Feng. I thought her perks were nice and my friend already claimed Claudette.

I’m a Dwight working on a Generator, my perk Spine Chill lights up. I decide to crouch walk to the locker near the generator and slowly enter.
-
Wish a Randomizer was placed as a true in-game option. I wouldn’t mind going in with no idea of my Killer or Killer load out. I might accidentally discover something unique and fun or fall in love with a perk or killer I usually avoid for better more meta options.
Hard for me to go and purposely choose to be weak though, then it’s like asking to be bullied…but if it was random and out of my control, it’s just having fun trying to make good on a potentially messed up set of circumstances~
-
I’m no survivor main but a little reminder to group up against baby Victor (specifically when your injured) is the best strat to kick him early and not let him slug everybody.
I just dunno how to word it in a crisp short sentence lol.
-
Does that new nemesis perk have a similar feel?
-
His videos are why I returned to DbD. I just can’t watch his content without his infectious attitude to convince me to give DbD another another another another another chance.
-
This, exploring ideas using AI, for existing Killers really hits home on Legion. As for Twins? I play much more Twins and I think the essence of Twins is the ‘bond’ between the two. It kind of irks me to explore ideas where they work so independently from one another.
I’d rather amplify the need for them both to be each other’s support.
In the spirit of adding to this topic. I’d use the AI system on Victor, so that when left unattended for an extended amount of time, then he will start transversing across the map to try and return to Charlotte. This idea only making some sense if they finally give Charlotte the ability to scoop up Victor and return him naturally to herself.
-
Well, most game develop metas and the fun part is how they evolve and change. As a fun like unrelated gaming news.
Top Tetris players all around the world are trying out a new discovered way to play the game and many are improving times and breaking new records, right this moment.
That game is ancient and still the meta is changing. Problem with this game is how reluctant the devs are to shake up the game. Instead of saying, use ‘this’ to win, we should have enough meta options to start every conversation with.., “well what kind of player do you want to be? Because Survivors have 4 strong meta options right now that work equally strongly in different aspects of the game.
- Healer
- Runner
- Saver
- All-Rounder
but...we just got like a handful of useful perks and copy cat builds lol.
Edit: sorry, same point for killer builds. Just gotta word it differently. Killer meta develops more from killer power then diversity of perks.
-
BHVR created this mess and refuses to alleviate it. Not like people haven’t been on here for years making positive suggestions.
- Reward Killers more for facing SWF.
- Reward Survivors more for being face-camped (technically distracting Killer all game)
- Add perks that promote “healthy” game choices.
- Add options to give positive feedback that could be received by the other side.
- Fix/acknowledge the broken mechanics that are found and abused and punish/threaten those who plan or have started using them. At least pretending to help us.
- Add a glossary of noob friendly tips and easy to find descriptions of every killer power and perk available. Maybe with a demonstration video, so that people can learn faster and play better, sooner.
- Fix and release that much needed MMR.
Ill acknowledge that they have introduced more incentives to play both sides (tomes/dailies) and more and more people are getting the taste of their own bitter medicine. Which I think helps, but would hurt to add more if possible.
Ill also acknowledge that some survivor perks are moving in the right direction at targeting specifically “frowned” upon playstyles, like hard/real tunneling and face-camping, without (now) making them nearly godlike. That being said, more in tune with that idea could also help.
———
TL:DR
BHVR, could help out the community a lil more to find some common ground, educate noobs and promote healthy play-styles.

Kay, don't remember ever losing to a Mad Grit killer though.
Oh you blocked out all those memories? How tragic.
-
Id be gobsmacked if the Killer Power isn’t a mix of two other Killers or the same power of another Killer but with a little twist.
To add a legit new fresh power? I’m not even sure when the last time was lol.

I’m not a Clown Main...but...but if you give that man some squeaky shoes...

It is kind of worrying how we can't trust the patch notes anymore. First they acknowledged issues as both fixed and still broken, then they labelled things fixed when they're not.
I know I sound too cynical and direct jokes at BHVR’s expense, quite often, but that’s what broken trust looks like.
How long can any fan of DbD really wear the rose glasses and give them the benefit of the doubt?
They burned me too many times for me to take any thing they say without a bucket of salt.
Doesn’t take much to compare them to a indie company or an established greedy company and still find faults in both avenues. They don’t care to give solid content and fix faults or communicate clearly what they are doing or how they are improving (like a indie), nor are they trying to fight off competitors by being the better, less buggy, and more content filled greedy corporation.
What we got can be closely related to what happened to the EA/NFL situation, except EA bought out all competition and DbD lucked past all competition. Both hold the monopoly and refuse to invigorate or renovate the genre, they rather just sit on their hands, rehash what they got and call it another win, as us poor saps just hand over our money because it’s this or nothing~
-
I consider anyone who continues to bicker with me about a DbD match, over a month ago, as my secret best DbD friend~
-
Yeah, should be fixed sometime in the next six months, after 2 more false claims they fixed it, and when they really do, it will be done silently.
-
Could use some polishing but over all a solid concept. I’d hope BHVR would some how be able to animate the process of replacing the knives but sometimes your stabby stabby to quick for any animation.
im not sure how weird this idea would look.

I like twins but my major problem lies with Victor. The amount of times he causes a snowball effect is ridiculous. I REALLY feel like he shouldn't be able to down people. It promotes slugging and leads to an unfun experience but that's just me. I understand it's her best strategy at securing kills playing any differently usually results in a loss. That's bad killer design right there.
I’m not against your suggested idea, personally I ‘like’ letting Victor take a ride, but unfortunately it doesn’t yield enough snowball and usually hinders my Killer power.
If they took away his ability to down, then they should always give him the ability to ride survivors and buff the perks behind the action.
At the very least we’d have less slugging -shrugs-
-
In Apex Legends I’ll occasionally tell my friends that he “shocked” me, when I get hit by arc star. They know I’m referring to Doctor and that I’m basically immobilized.
Im just now realizing he might have traumatized me. <_<
-
Also include builds, I’m almost mentally ready to give it another shot myself.
-
Might be a fun discussion to play with the idea of who would combo best with who.
Ss for this topic...I agree. Legion would be a very synergistic Killer.
-
The Killer obviously just needed to take a piss, it’s what I always do too~

I logged out yesterday with over 100k bp and logged back in today with 62k.
The game gives with one hand and takes with another.
So the magical BP are being robbed from other players? Normally I’d scoff at this idea...but...this is BHVR. 🤔
-
Don’t question the magically free BP. We don’t want our Over-Lords to fix every tiny bug in this game. *nudge nudge wink wink*

- Freddy, ever since I first started playing.
- Because I absolutely love him and his movies are very important to me.
- Yes, he got his failure of a rework.
- Nope. No change is enough to make me quit Freddy.
- I've adapted and tried my best to master his new power. However, I would do anything to have his old power back.
- Well, I will never quit Freddy, but his rework was the main reason why I decided to try some other killers, like Huntress and Bubba.
- If Freddy had never received his rework, I would play him much more than I already do, if that is even possible.
Yeah, you and a old Doctor Main were the inspiration to me making this topic. I couldn’t stick with Freddy, but I saw that you did, so I was thinking back on how different my time with DbD might have been if I adapted more and stuck with Freddy.
The Doctor guy because he gave up Doctor after his rework, which surprised me because I thought it was better, which then shocked my own brain when I realized I did the same thing with Freddy.
So I wanted to see why some people stick with it and others start looking for something else.
