I don’t read the lore...BUT, I have found some Lore related videos on DbD and they make visiting the lore much more interesting then just reading it myself. Not sure if I’m just easily influenced by their enthusiasm in lore diving or how they sneak in their own lore theories/ideas, but some videos I’ve seen has made me appreciate some DbD lore.
Mostly I’d say I don’t care for the lore though, but I do have exceptions~

Nooo, please don't camp with are little Gremlins!!!! No wonder we get a bad rep
We have a rep for slugging/camping because it’s the best use of the Killer Power. I focused on slugging build but since Victor is getting nerfed, I make a camping build.
Im not going to go out of my way to incorrectly use my Killer Power just to appease the reputation Twin players share. It was created for a reason and it only the Devs can fix the train wreck they created, not the community.
People have already suggested hundred of ideas to level out the Twins into being something more then a Slug Heavy and Camp Heavy Killer. They chose to just punish the Slugging side, so I’ll camp.
If they were to punish both, then I would stop playing Twins, and if they were to change or create better Twin mechanics that reward playing more “fair”. Then I would do that.
-
Since the Devs think using Victor offensively is worth punishing the Killer, I’ll just use him to camp. I mean, he had two purposes and you nerfed one so...

Rather listen to the grunts and painful cries of a female then...er...uh... and this is one of those sentences that sounds better in my head. Excuse me.

Being Jailed means you can’t start topics or reply to posts (consistently), you gotta wait like 5 mins in between replies.
The amt of time in jail varies. I’ve had some last longer then a week. Returning to the forum is as easy as taking the 2 mins to create a throw away email.

I don't find playing DBD to be an intense activity. I did, however, imply that you may have a fundamental misunderstanding of the intent of a leisure activity.
Additionally, if you believe that someone playing a game in a relaxed state would be potentially hurtful to people, than I might suggest that you find a more sensical definition of the word. We need to work from common definitions in order to have good discussions, and your usage here creates an implicit definition so broad that it makes the word virtually meaningless.
why are you focusing so much on how serious one might take DbD. You want to say “it’s just a game bro” but in a proper and sophisticated manner? Okay, I’ll agree this is a game, I’ll even agree that your free to play the game as “intensely” as you want.
I merely presented my viewpoint that gifting a hit to the killer at the door isn’t ‘nice’ and despite intentions from the survivor, I view it as toxic and I tried to clearly state my opinion as clearly as possible.
Not sure what your doing. At first you brought up your viewpoint about it being a sign of respect, comparing it to sportsmanship and you’ve quickly devolved the conversation to the point where you....what, vaguely point out that I should start defining every word I use so you can more clearly “own” me?
Just focus on sharing your opinion, like everybody else dood, an stop trying to cut me down.
Even if this is a leisure activity, I would still like players to play the game as their respective roles seriously. I don’t think that is “intense”.

He does think that. He has an extreme bias against survivors.

Thank you for telling me about that. Sometimes I would stay to give a hit but I didn't realize it was insulting. Eventhouh it's toxic as you say the intention behind it is most likely not.
My point was never about the intention. I agree, obviously survivors think they are doing something positive for the killer, and I for one, applaud the attempt of showing respect.
it’s not this though. Not in my opinion anyway.

It seems likely that you apply a level of intensity to your gaming that many others may not.
If playing the game as intended is intense to you, maybe your playing at an overly relaxed level that is indirectly hurting the others around you~

While I can see people waiting to give a free hit for the killer. What survivors need to understand is that this is the minority. Most just tbag and then dead hard away. So now Killers generalize all survivors wanting to do this. Honestly, I would find it more respectful if you just immediately left. I don’t care much for free hits but I do care about you prolonging the match. The match is over. Just leave so we can both go into another match.
Thank you. Your my voice of reason for this topic. I just can’t even right now with this.

Your statement is incorrect. I don't feel pity when I let killers hit me, and I don't feel diminished when a survivor lets me hit them. Dunno where this "pity" comes in during your games. It's a sportsmanlike gesture. Like a "gg" lineup at the end of a game. If you feel "pitiful" about it, then perhaps that's an internal issue rather than an external one.
ohhh, like how, in other video games people will shoot each other in the shoulder, respectively, or end a fighting game by jumping in place.
######### are you talking about? You fight till someone dies in fighting games, you shoot someone until they die, in shooting games, and you run out the god damn door when your trying to survive as a survivor.

idk what to even to say other than that it's just ironic that you think survivors who try to give killers free hits is toxic. Some people even will give them a kill when they've struggled.
You don’t see the toxicity?
- you prolong the trial in a position where you can’t lose
- your suppose to act like someone trying to escape a killer but fearlessly wait provokingly so you can get a lil spanking before you leave
- the points you “gift” the Killer are a huge waste of time that the Killer could have gotten much sooner if you would just end the game.
- this is not the equivalent to Killer gifting hatch.
Killer isn’t getting a 1k bump from your action. Your wasting time and disrespecting the Killer. If you wanna be nice, then leave or sit by a hook and get killed.
How do you not see how toxic you are?

I always stay in the match because I wanna give a killer a hit, I don't teabag at the gates because I think it's unsportsmanlike.
Well stop it. We barely get any points and half of the survivors are just fishing for WGLF stacks or at-bag session.
nobody feels good about the pity hit and your wasting everyone’s time~

I’m still considering myself a Twins Main, but a different game has got my attention right now, so I’m not in the Fog.
Im not 100% sure why I’m leaning towards Twins so hard, but I am having fun with them. I’m in love with Twins much like I was with Old Freddy and Old Plague. I just pray the negative stigma isn’t going to be another strong reason BHVR decides to shoot another killer I love in the foot.
Tired of them seriously changing too much and making my experience less enjoyable.
-
Couple people already posted great perk ideas that incorporates OP suggestion. I’m convinced it’s possible and not difficult to include.
However, I’m always positive BHVR would lazily implement it and make it too powerful or too restricted or...of course...let it come out too powerful, so that you will buy, and then hard nerf it.
-
I always felt they do that to pressure me to break pallet. Like, I could want to play the mind game but if I lose and he keeps jumping over at the right time and keeps healing, then he might get a Health state back.
So panicked I just break pallet.
Be that the best move for the survivors is debatable, they might be indirectly shortening the chase by pressuring me to break pallet.

Yeah, I was shocked the first time I was blinded as Victor (while using Lightborn) too. Not sure why my brain was convinced that lightborn would be shared, despite so many other perks not working on Victor, but I did.

If you don’t know who is is there’s many YT compilations of him
I didn’t know DbD had a LTG equivalent. God, I still occasionally go back to classic LTG moments and I don’t even play fighting games.
-
I’m more ashamed of the survivors who don’t struggle. It’s like watching a horror movie and the killer accidentally drops the knife and the survivor just waits patiently for the Killer to retrieve it.
Your killing the mood and suspense of the moment. I hope struggle, even if it’s only 2 feet and your on death hook.

Yet... Twin's were released live with the said Locker bug you talk about. So they in fact did not change anything from PTB to Launch in that regard.
It's really not hard for a Dev or Mod to say "We hear you. We are looking into Twins Balancing". Done.
What madness are you speaking? Burn this one. What heretic you are, how could a dev possibly give such a clearly vague but overly calming response. We only accept silence, bewilderment and late responses here.
Thank you.

My friend gets very disheartened by Doctor and I use to also (when I was less skilled at looping), because he feels very oppressive. My friend was a Claudette, I forget the meme name but he was always hiding in bushes and remains undetected. I also lean towards sneaking over provoking a chase, but...where I got better at looping, he struggled.
So, a Killer that can provoke a scream and other ailments that give away a survivors whereabouts was a devastating moral blow to him and the Killer I saw him DC to the most was Doctor. He really puts on the pressure to those still learning to loop (or bad at it).
As far as learning Doctor, for me. I technically played more with Old Doctor then this one. So I really can’t provide more then what’s been said. Personally, I’m too stupid to remember every tile, where the best moment to shock is or am usually willing to fight the game on whether I did or didn’t shock the survivor before the pallet dropped.
I am thinking of trying Doctor again with MMR and the new Zanshin Tactics perk change. I just can’t play him against red ranks right now. I’m not good enough or interested in getting bullied because of my rank but inexperience with specific killers. :/

Unfortunately, that's what made Plague unfun to play as, because "don't cleanse" was a viable strategy and it took too long to get her power.
You can still keep infecting people, I don't know how this helpful change makes you stop playing a killer.
How do you keep infecting people if they force corruption on you (full fountain reset) or what is even the point of infection if the option to use fountains is ALWAYS there, no exceptions.
People acted like Plague was crippled or broken without corruption. She was a Killer with Dual Powers. Yes, survivors could play a certain way and not let her use Corruption, one half of her power, but she could still use the other and still win.
Obviously the majority out cry was that Plague was busted because survivors had too much control over her Corruption Power and they “fixed” that problem. Completely nerfing her second power of using sickness.
My Plague build and play style involved spreading sickness and snowballing on broken survivors until they were forced to use fountains or locking the fountains down late game and snowballing towards the end, after powering through all the free fountain heals.
- I can’t lockdown the late game with completely corrupted fountains
- I can’t avoid the corruption power because it forces its self on me
- I can’t not, ever, keep a survivor sick, under no circumstances.
The only way you could possibly like Plague now is if your a fan of Corruption and sickness is just a secondary power that you vaguely use.
I use to do the opposite. I kept everyone sick and never used my corruption...they killed my Plague just like they did My Freddy. Hopefully they don’t ruin my Twins later :/

This had more replies then I was expecting. I’ll have to dig through this later...and cherry pick the most interesting bits and do a lil RE research.
Maybe I’ll just try and watch some lore vids to better understand RE.
I did skim through some quotes on the first page from (Jack?). He sounded like a fun character.
oh, thanks for the replies. God I hope BHVR makes this chapter a banger.

what did they change about plague?
Originally, Plague could choose to not use her fountains...so survivor meta was to not use fountains until absolutely necessary or because they popped all gens, and stole plague power and then used her fountains against her when it would hurt her the most. If they chose to use them immediately then Plague could keep every survivor broken for the rest of the match or just pop one fountain for snowball.
I liked not using fountains. Even if I only had strong mid to late game, broken survivors were louder, had that green wispy sickness cloud and they could always be one shot. Spreading sickness was so much fun and the games felt diverse because I wasn’t sure which strategy survivors would use or if I would even or wouldn’t have a chance to use corrupted bile.
THEN. Well then they made the changes. Now fountains will reset if they all get corrupted, forcing corruption on Plague (whether she wants it or not) and started her with a pre made fountain so even less fountains needed to be used before the reset.
My point is, I didn’t wanna be a Huntress, I wanted to be a Plague player and lock the game down with sickness. I was very disappointed in the BHVR changes and hardly touch her anymore. :/
-
My main got completely changed into a new killer. Freddy. Then I mained Plague and they completely changed very key elements to her power that made her unenjoyable to me. So I played everybody until Twins, where I decided to Main them...but I still feel they might do something drastic to them too.
I almost paranoid enough to think BHVR is after any Killer I try to master.
-
I don’t want to run BBQ anymore either, but I’d also like to unlock every god damn perk on every god damn killer before I ######### god damn die.

I get you man.
Apex Legends will allow Console Players to play with a PC lobby IF and ONLY IF they are in a group that consists of a PC Player. Basically the console player is acknowledging that they are willing to play against those with better hardware and aim control, because they wanted to play with a friend who is on PC.
OTHER THEN THIS SCENARIO, the consoles and PC player base is kept separate. Apex Legends takes “fairness” much more seriously.
BHVR has never showed any real interest in a balanced of fair game. I’d be more shocked if they properly implemented cross play but kept console and PC separate, or added the feature in now.
Personally, I rather only fight console, but I’m already at peace with the current cross-play. At least que times are faster.
-
Usually survivor bugs are addressed fairly quickly. Hopefully it’s only a month wait instead of our indefinite waits on bugs that screw killers over~
-
I’ve never noticed this, but if I had, I bet it was the survivors fault...
-
Yeah, as much as I’ve learned to Love Twins, I’m a lil sad inside when comparing my gameplay to PC. Looks much easier.
Same with Blight.
-
I don’t play Trapper, but I heard they messed with his walk. Wonder if that was fixed with his graphical update.
-
For the People.
I think it’s great, and you deserve a negative effect, but it’s not Meta. If they could let it trigger by remaining in a fixed radius of an injured survivor, instead of need to physically be touching them (heal) and of course, you are button prompted to do so (in case you don’t want to use your power on someone or you know they are built to be a stronger survivor when injured)...then I think it would be meta.
Id like to chase a injured survivor, probably getting tunneled or on death hook, and heal them just by chasing for a lil bit. Then lead the killer away since im now the more vulnerable person. If they remain tunneled vision, then at least I have that survivor a fighting chance.
-
Killers are purposely kept broken or weak because they are built under the assumption survivors are using a similar set of limited information, as if they were only playing solo players.
Except, because of SWF, survivors have a ton of info shared and can make builds focused on extending chase or second chances and can just verbally keep track of the killer, always staying one step ahead of them.
If Solo were made stronger or given more information, to rival SWF, then the hope would be that they could finally fix and buff killers so they could compete with SWF.
BHVR can’t buff killers without hurting solo, so the community naturally wants to buff Solo Surv, to...in extension, buff Killer.
Id rather them try one of several different tactics, before buffing solo, personally. Like BP bonus for Killer who plays against SWF and separating SWF from SOLO. That way Killers can at least have a proper build, add ons, an expectation to fight a SWF.
Instead we got Killers trolling Solo, thinking they are SWF, and SWF stomping on Killers. Solo never feels like they are top of the food chain, because both sides ######### on them. Something that also would be less likely if they had more communication options with their random teammates.
-
Nah. Specially since they blew their load early and I’ve only played two RE titles. My enthusiasm for the chapter will come from the New perks (All) and new Killer Power.
If they new how to build the hype train like other companies, I’d ride it, but they hold everything back until the day of P2B and by the time I get my hands on it, I’ll already know what to expect. With no time to get hyped.
BHVR doesn’t want hype since they are very prone to breaking their own game and ruining chapter releases.
-
Nope.
-
My theory is they shadow nerf but...if it’s noticed and enough people complain or their “data” says it didn’t have the result they were fishing for...then they can call it a bug and “fix” it. Otherwise...the “bug” falls into BHVR list of “when we get to it” fixes and they continue to ignore it until the community stops caring and the shadownerf stays permanently~
-
I’ve only played Resident Evil 2 and 6. I’m not a huge fan and I don’t get the hype but it’s not a fandom I joined so...
I hope the Killer Power or the survivor/killer perks are enough to peak my interest. Hope they add another chapter with double survivor or...crazy thought...double killer.
if your gunna break the game anyway, might as well do it in style~
-
I never get an Ace in my chests, just stupid keys :/

I don’t follow the RE series (like I do for Silent Hill) but, not gunna lie, if the new killer is found in the new Silent Hill, I’ll probably buy and play it.
