  • People have shared similar experiences since the last update. I pop keys all the time lately, when I’m survivor, granted I haven’t noticed more key escapes then usual but...again, some people have already discussed this on and off the last two weeks.

    some think it’s bugged

others think it’s purposefully done by BHVR and meant to stay~

  • Not weird at all....

As the dailies do, they encourage people out of their comfort zone or favorite “thing”. That might have been a survivor main trying Billy after barely touching him after years of playing DbD or an old Billy main who immediately got frustrated about the Billy changes.

Point is, you don’t need gens to pop to be unhappy and want to leave the game early.

Whenever I try to do a Blight (console) daily, once a month, I’ll bump a few walls, get looped and lost, hit or slide off something stupid and...

    DC

    No gens necessary~

Well i assume we all play twins wrong and the right way to play is put victor near a hook hook the survivor on that hook with charlotte cause thats the gameplay the devs want

Right, I was trying to lean away from hook camping with Victor but it seems to be the play BHVR wants. I was trying to chase are hurt multiple survivors before snowballing with Victor, but now that he is more vulnerable, might as well concentrate on his sonar ability.

An where do I know it will be most useful? AT THE HOOK!

  • I currently consider myself a Twins main. The negative stigma and unique power gave me Old Freddy vibes.

I usually play with Toy Sword and Madeline’s scarf.

If I’m trying, I’ll run Deerstalker, Sloppy, BBQ, and Pop.

    If I’m not.

Zenshin Tactics, Hoarder, Franklins, and BBQ.

  • Why would I want to make anyone else as beautiful as me?

Thanatophobia is great because you will run into teams that won't cleanse. So thanatophobia either causes people to cleanse or slows down gen progress, survivors are screwed either way. Any perk that allows you to see where survivors are working on gens, so you can go over to them, kick them, then infect the gens. (Also, you will know when a survivor starts working a gen, by looking at his icon and he starts becoming infected, so just go back to the gen you infected previously). Survivors are forced to work on infected gens, or their gens regress.

If a survivor cleanses and the others don't. Then get Corrupt Purge and one-shot down the survivors that didn't cleanse. The Plague is all about one survivor screwing other survivors.

Do not use Sloppy Butcher or Coulrophobia because survivors will never have have a reason to heal.

Oh, and try to infect gens you walk past. You can also infect totems and chests.

I don't know if this is true or not, but you are suppose to vomit below a hooked survivor to infect a non-infected hooked survivor.

I can confirm that last part. If you hook a non-infected survivor, usually because your on corruption but it ends while you take to hook, you can throw up at their feet and infect the survivor.

Even if Behavior see's that more like Old Freddy, they probably still won't do anything. You'know, cause it's Behavior.

Agreed. This is funny/sad and we should do this from time to time but BHVR would absolutely never bring back Old Freddy.

  • You should make a build around the concept that people will cleanse, because not cleansing is outdated survivor strats that you will (maybe) still find when you face SWF.

Since Plague dropped off the map, the average survivor never really learned the no heal strat and since BHVR gave her a freebie (or more with add ons), the survivor mindset changed to, well she use her corrupt no matter what I do, might as well use it and stay healthy.

I use to main her but gave her up, so I might be less knowledgeable now but...

Corrupt Intervention for a chance at early game success. Just leave the locked gens and patrol the 4 open ones, spit on them. When ya see a survivor, puke on them and let them go. Spread your infection for two mins and get a feel for this game. Did they use a fountain before they broke? Did they wait till broken to use fountain? Did they break and still have not used fountain? Did they hide the whole 2 mins?

Just little tells to give you a small sneak peak about what your about to face.

Thanatophobia is good. If they try to not heal then it costs them a penalty and if even one survivor feels pressured or upset about the gen progress, they might use a fountain, effectively starting the chain reaction of everybody popping a fountain.

BBQ as the info BP perk

and I usually go with pop for a little gen defense.

Old Plague had trouble getting survivors to pop a fountain and give her corruption...New Plague has to suck down fountains fast enough so that survivors don’t purify all fountains. It’s a weird change.

Long as you get use to her corruption power and don’t get cucked too hard from the games servers, then you’ll basically have Mini-Huntress abilities all game.

  • Should reveal the Aura of any survivor who calls upon the Entity, be that through Killer actions/perks or a survivors for 5/4/3 seconds.

    • so...they jump window 3 times (reveal)
    • Hex: Crowd Control (reveal)
    • Hex: Blood Favor and killer basic attacks survivor within 16m of pallet, prompting entity...well (reveal)
    • Survivor calls entity to block gen (reveal)

    Ect Ect.

  • I already suggested we bring old Freddy with Robert England version of him and let New Freddy stay as melty face...Poetic.

I got into this game because of Freddy and mained him exclusively. I thought this game was fun and easy because of my ignorance and rank. After dominating, I worked up to red ranks, where I was met with a rude reawakening to Freddy and his weaknesses.

It really was very pathetic and sad how easily a knowledgeable survivor could toy with Freddy, specifically when they captured Freddy at gates by continuously waking each other up and never allowing Freddy the chance to hit, mocking, pointing and t-bagging him relentlessly. He could never push them out, only wait or DC.

I ate dirt for months to P3 and max/collect all Perks, research how to play better, looked for strong Freddy builds, experiment and studied the add ons (they vague info always bugged me about DbD). An finally, I was at a level where I could “win” most of games (the 4k) or at least not get completely dominated, even by a organized SWF.

Despite that, I still complained, just like everyone else, because he was obviously confusing and overpowering to the newly initiated but abusable to the average experienced Freddy vrs the Average survivor.

I never expected such a reaction though, they straight up removed Freddy and gave us a new Killer. I tried to get hyped and still main Freddy but he was too different. By then, I could honestly pick up and learn anybody else and have the same experience of learning a new killer, because that’s how different he was.

    TL:DR

    Bring back Old Freddy~

  • You guys know those Cable Tech guys from South Park, who get off by screwing their customers and tweak their nipples when they do it? That’s how I now view BHVR.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yeah my matches still go the same as before with him. M1 being his way to deal consistent damage. But because you can somewhat aim now he's not a total misery to play, I dare to say, even somewhat fun.

    —Gasp—

  • Agreed. Really wish they would give her another pass. Although, not a popular opinion about Plague, I’d rather be able to keep survivors broken and have stronger mid/late game, then be forced to have corruption after they cleanse all fountains.

I know old Plague upset Plague players because survivors wouldn’t heal and robbed her of her corruption power...

well they buff that aspect of her and Plague still didn’t become popular. Why not find a more balanced solution, so that those who wanna work around her sickness/broken status, could do that. I feel forced to play like a Huntress, when I just want to play like Old Freddy.

  • Omg, thanks for the reminder. I need to do this after work.

  • I disagreed in the other 3 posts, this one included~

  • Be they good or bad, I’m just glad the Devs are still tinkering with the Twins. I’ll reserve my judgement till I get a feel for it.

Is it really that hard to understand that when people ask for solos to be buffed to SWF level, they aren't saying that killers shouldn't be buffed to compensate?

is it really hard to understand that the strength SWF has (used at full potential) is much stronger then you seem to grasp BUT people play this game CASUALLY, with no separation from casual/ranked play, and to realistically buff Killers to a level they could defend against a SWF group of try hards would be grossly overpowered compared to the average SWF group just talking sh— while they play tag over the internet...

  • Old Freddy and New Freddy got some serious flak. One for being too oppressive in low rank and too weak in high rank, the other being too easy to use and having too many tools/options...

So we should remake him again. This time using the best parts of both kits.

He will be weak in high rank AND easy to use. I call him Middle-Aged Freddy.

  • I get your argument OP, but I still disagree. I don’t think the game/Devs need to spoon feed us every tiny little detail that is happening in game. I think part of the fun in using different builds is enhancing a particular skill in game and making our survivor unique to that scenario.

I also play Solo and I felt frustrated not knowing how many totems were left, so I used my perk (Detective Hunch) as part of my build and took it upon myself to do gens and clear totems.

My point is, I can be good at healing with heal perks, good at saving with certain perks, good at looping, or even good at hunting totems/chests...with certain perks. You can choose to be the best at something or dabble ina lil of everything but you cant be omnipotent and do everything.

Your big issue seems to be the difference in SWF and Solo experience. You want to bridge the gap. You think SoloQ deserve all the same information available to you that could be provided by 4 individuals playing together...

You get why that’s crazy right. You might as well highlight the Killer, at all times, highlight any and every totem a survivor ran by, highlight every unused pallet...

SWF are much too powerful and the only saving grace this game has is that most ppl play casually and they do not seriously try hard. If survivors felt like actually trying and using their cheats and dozen extra perks, just by opening their eyes and mouth, then every Killer game would be a bust. To suggest we bridge the gap is dumb to me.

Better off trying to separate SWF or adding restrictions to it, because buffing SoloQ to SWF levels of Over Powered BS isn’t going to keep the Killers around.

While playing Trickster, I had multiple survivors crouching up and down rapidly.

It's good to see Survivors bowing to Tricksters superiority.

Gunna have to mentally steal that for my own sanity. No Longer shall I be T-Bagged...only Worshipped.

  • Glad you stuck with the Twins and I’ve also noticed the insatiable need survivors have to kick Victor. It’s very strange, I think I once started a topic asking why survivors will take the L as long as they get to kick Vic. Like a month ago.

    They still do it...

  • Sucks when your power is stolen by a kidnapping.

Also sucks when a survivor drinks a healing fountain when you just broke them through poison

    or

when survivors quick drop pallets and won’t let Oni get any blood, essentially stealing his power.

    or

Survivors erasing Hag traps with a flashlight that the game decided to gift them freely by opening a chest...

My point is, Killer powers are not omnipotent and should have drawbacks, downsides or counter-play. Since we can call back Victor in 30 seconds, and the survivor is limited to their actions plus Victor still reveals nearby survivors...it still sounds reasonable to me to have him kidnapped.

Doesnt seem necessary to also make survivors nearly defenseless too.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I also wish you could. I do not like camping as a killer so I'd much rather have Victor back than have to use him as a camping tool.

Especially because unless the unhooker sticks around to take aggro, you're almost certainly going to have to tunnel the injured instead as they're the only one you can realistically find with Victor.

And yes, I could just ignore it and let them both just get away with it but that's not using my killer resources very well either. It feels like I'm forced to either camp with The Twins and feel like a unsporting jerk of a killer or I'm forced to not get any powers until the survivors kick the ba...kick Victor or the 90 seconds or whatever it is ticks by.

Thank you Tippy. Started to think I was crazy. I’m wondering now if I could realistically kill Victor after I hook, or before. I’ve never looked for Victo kill strats.

Sad I’d have to jump an extra hoop to play Twins the way I want.

  • @Desarme said:

It seems to me there is no need for this, you can leave it somewhere and it will give you information, why take it if it is already fast? Let it work!

Right, the information it’s giving me is that somebody is going for the hook save. Might as well, use that information to slug with Vic and hook into the healthy survivor.

Making me an effective try hard camping Twins Killer.

    hurray?

I could be on the other side of the map downing a new survivor using Char and Vic but...had to leave one behind (because killer design, not really choice).

Do you get the point yet?

  • You should have bailed on the loading screen, after flags 1and 2. Devs don’t want you to know that you can avoid the toxic map and the last second character switches (keys), just by closing out.

    no penalty.

I have (in the past) and probably will (now) be banned again for telling you this. I just want Killers to know that it’s easy to spot the try hard SWF, because they ‘need’ their one sided map, and they ‘need’ their safety key.

Just leave before the map loads. Save you a headache and will piss them off. Win/win.

I feel like this thread is supposed to be an answer for other similiar non joke threads. I get why you did this but there is no need to mock people for how they feel

This guy sounds like he touches gens...Tut tut tut

    <_<

  • Well now that they “nerfed” it, so survivors are not Gods for 60 seconds, now they could add a lil speed boost or multiple uses per game.

in all honesty, never use the perk and other perks exist to create an obsession.

I think everyone looks a lil silly.

  • My biggest gripe isn’t the Killers who camp, or that BHVR doesn’t do more to discourage it...

My problem is with the survivors who kill themselves. We’re suppose to be a team, a 4v1, you are suppose to help me survive...even if you can not.

I know your sitting on a hook, with a killer camping, and you see your three team mates on a gen not trying to save you.

I still need you to be the bigger person and survive as long as you can. Christ, I’ve been that guy, we all have, but in SoloQ it feels like I’m the only one who gives a damn enough to waste the killers time.

They are successful and will keep camping since it takes so very little to trigger these damn survivors into killing themselves.

  • I use this combo. I also throw on For The People.

Its frowned upon but I play Solo and everybody gunna die anyway, or farm each other, or just play poorly.

Might as well do what I like.

I’m not the best at chases so I use FTP to self injure myself, instead of waiting for a hook or testing the killer. Then I wait out broken status, 99 myself and knock out gens. If I feel it’s necessary, I’ll Heal that 1% before a chase or when I see a FTP play needs to happen.

Do I sometimes screw myself? Sure, but I’ve also had games where I made great FTP saves and still could power through gens fast.

Anyway, just letting you know your not the only one using it~

  • I’m learning survivor now (Killer Main) and I’m trying out Head-On. Killer baited my Head On play and I fell for it, he gave much space and clearly avoided it successfully.

Except, after the animation should have ended and he stepped forward, random stun effect engaged.

I felt that bro. (I still ran away, but I did do so with less enthusiasm)

  • -Laughs in Technician-

  • If I could add a new survivor item?

    Jack in the Box.

    • JinB can only be found in a chest
    • JinB has a 50% chance of injuring/downing OR giving a key (the key strength varies)
    • You have to wind up the JinB by standing still and holding the action button
    • You can stop at any point and you do not have to start over
    • You could say, choose to wind the box all the way to near completion and then drop the box to have someone else find and use. (Fun trolling)
    • The JinB can play a traditional tune or a unique one
    • The JinB could have one design or several (Like one representing each killer)
    • The opening of the JinB could have a sound que to represent a good or bad reveal
    • Killer can obviously hear the tune also
    • The JinB could be considered rare.
    • If they had different colors or designs to represent each Killer, it could be fun trying to collect them all and when a new killer drops, maybe people could run chest related perks trying to hunt them down.
    • Survivors who want to give one to a friend would have to carry it in game, drop it for friend and then both (or everyone) has to try and keep that survivor alive or at least try and save the item if they can’t.

I dunno, just a random thought that I thought had potential and could be fun.

  • Plague shouldn’t be forced or required to use her fountains. Plague should be able to choose to not use her power and lay on the sickness till all fountains are corrupted and survivors are stuck with broken status.

Plague players should be able to choose which side of her power that prefer to use the most and try and conquer the game the way they want.

An survivors should have to learn to be skillful enough to know when the best time to heal is and change tactics around how the Plague chooses to play.

A free Corrupted fountain and forced fountain reset (upon all being corrupted) was what made me drop Plague as my main. I love making survivors sick and don’t mind powering through a bunch of fountain heals to have a stronger late game with my sickness but now I just have the boring long shot damage BS. Might as well go play Huntress. :/

  • This thread was so funny, 9/10. Wish I was here for the whole ride~

  • Uhhh, I prefer tongue n cheek then on the nose. Like if they had a Pirate type Killer and his map was (The docks) and on this map it had only 1 bush...an just poking out is a skeleton with very Blendette like clothing...then yeah, I’d be in for a couple of in-jokes slipped in.

  • Yeah. Well, it’s a survivor issue so it should be fixed soon then later.

  • You know BHVR takes years to do anything. It’s on the way, just like key changes lol.

  • Get the rights to Robert Englunds Freddy and retroactively add ‘Old Freddy’ with his old iconic skin.

Let him talk and drop funny quips too...

  • Oh? Did you old Doctor Mains want to join us Old Freddy mains in our weekly meet n greets? We provide snacks and then reminisce about our past tribulations and triumphs.

  • I don’t understand why Babysitter can not be viewed both ways and have separate builds to compliment both ideas...

be it a tool you use near the killer or not.

I mean, your perspective is great, just don’t see how it is Marginal to use it as a discount BT or work it with BT.

Not every killer leaves hook, and not every killer will have a terror radius at the time of unhook, so...it can still be beneficial, or sometimes stronger to use Babysitter just like you would BT.

Just suggesting maybe you misunderstood Babysitter potential in both scenarios. I still think it can be useful even if Killers don’t leave hook and it still works fine.

  • Weren’t we just discussing how the chests feel bugged right now? I find a key in almost every game, after only searching 2-3 chests, with Plunderer.

Im a Killer main switching roles finally, and I’ve never seen so many keys. I asked if this was normal and people were saying that they were having similar experiences and that the chests might be bugged.

  • @marciamarciamarcia said:

Similarly, I would put David as 'Hard' instead of 'Intermediate' since No Mither is typically pretty difficult to use compared to Bill's perks at least.

That’s a good point. I’d reevaluate his as hard too.

  • I liked this suggest three years ago, two years ago, last year, and I’m sure I’ll see and like this suggestion in the next few years ahead too.

  • This is what we thought we were getting with Legion. The trailer made it seem like they could blend in and confuse survivors.

Doubt BHVR would go for this idea (as fun as it sounds), this killer would break a baby survivors brain into jelly.

  • I’ve never tried Windows but I want it very badly, I’m sad I didn’t get it on the shrine when I had the chance.

  • Nothing is more frightening then a woman with a child. That scare me the most. (Twins)

  • Claudettes, specifically the ones who purposely wear dark clothing. Jester or Pizza Dwight and Nea for me. I’m hoping Yun doesn’t get a bad stigma, I’ve decided to main her.

I love her Seol Socialite outfit~

  • I’m still seeing him, but noticeably less often. He is lucky to get 1 kill and I always breathe a sigh of relief when I see him. He really is the most non threatening killer I’ve ever seen.

  • I dunno, I’ll try this later myself but this all sounds like BS :/

  • @NVerde said:

It's on literally every killer lately. Seems to be a little unfair as it makes sense to be working on a generator a distance away when someone is downed and hooked but then they go right for you - any advice for a fairly newbie survivor to counter this?

Yeah. You can kind of hide aura behind generator if you know which direction the killer is.

    you can hide in locker

you can hide aura with a perk

you can move in one direction during a few seconds you know killer can see you, and then move the opposite...

also, people feel that a killer that can see a survivor is more willing to leave the hook, promoting a more healthy game since they are not camping hook

lastly, killers mostly want that sweet extra BP. Put that BP bonus part on any perk, even Hangman’s Trick and ‘that’ would be the perk you see every killer running too.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 9
