  • Baby Killer me was too intimidated and scared (of flashlights) to pick up a survivor if the other survivors swarmed me before pick up. I would just stand like a cornered beast, swiping at the others and re-down if they managed a pick up.

Obviously this would continue until they bled a slow and annoying death.

Baby killer me received many more hate messages.

  • Because of our Devs reputations and community concerns on balance...I’d suggest this.

Add a 5th slot for Killer and Survivor but only allow WGLF and BBQ n Chilli be used for the 5th slot. Have both of those perks get a unique perk color. Basically any perk that can earn the 25% bonus BP token bonus, will fall into this category. Only one of these perks can be used at a time, placed in the special 5th slot.

Now Devs can finally create more BP bonus perks without the fear of Triple/Quadruple BP bonus.

Let the community slowly feel out what life is like when you can make 4 perk builds and not be tied down by the BP grind. Those who stopped using WGLF or BBQ so they could concentrate on a specific build or perk synergy, can still have that plus a lil extra now.

I think this would be the best bet for giving the Devs and community a ‘taste’ of the 5 perk life, without breaking the game, and also open up the opportunity for more BP increasing perks, specifically ones that encourage more healthy play styles.

  • My view on blood as been screwed since I started to main Twins. I’m still getting use to blood being bright as a flame or black as a shadow.

  • It’s the new BHVR meme to unnecessarily nerf perks from p2b now. Like Gearhead.

  • For Survivor: I like Repressed Alliance + Better Together + Visionary.

Im a gen jockey at heart and this combo let’s me find gens easier but also keeps my allies informed on where gens are. Visionary to always stay on top of gens personally, Better Together to help survivors find me and help me pop gens (also useful to gather people to me for heal up), and if Im alone and Killer comes at me, Repressed Alliance to protect my gen progress and show others where my gen is (so that maybe they can finish it for me). Then the 4th is my exhaustion perk.

Killer: Nemesis + Dark Devotion + Enduring/Brutal Strength

Enduring or Brutal to power through pallets. Just always swing at pallet drops and take the stun. Nemesis procs and survivor your chasing becomes oblivious and becomes obsession. Smack the obsession to proc Dark Devotion.

Break chase to hunt others while undetected and internally laugh at survivors mistakenly running from other survivors thinking they are the killer or are being chased by the killer. xD

honestly just give victor a boiled over type affect and that's they really need (im a twins main)

    And rename him Jockey.

  • Play with your food. Everybody is speed...

Where are you getting all this from, OP?

    You don’t know?

  • Trapper really deserves a second power. Like a tripwire. Traps come in other styles then just BEAR.

What do you mean? Blight, Twins and Trickster don't have maps.

Yeah, he was trying to ask if they would make related maps for already released Killers (who didn’t get maps) then they would like to see what they would have made for the Twins map.

  • Guys, BHVR has a 5 year window to address killer problems, after release. Just give it time. Another 2-3 years tops and he will be running perfectly.

    -dies-

  • I ashamed at how many lobbies I dodge, but that’s one of the few perks I have as a killer main. Might as well choose who I feel comfortable competing against...and if I was wrong, then I take the L.

Still rather take the L from half pc/half console group, with no P3 Claudette, or a single key between them. Then I at least know the loss was earned and not easily given to me.

  • Who doesn’t love the abandoned carnival.

  • Maybe if his power was to strip survivors of all perks and everybody was forced to play basically perkless...that’s the only way I’d consider a straight up M1 Killer.

Id play him just for the salt.

(I know this would never happen)

  • I heard they got caught murdering people and recording it but when confronted with the evidence, they just claimed it was faked for a new killer they created.

Then they had 72 hours to throw together something and thus created this Joker wannabe.

  • Does the Hex perks have to be so loud, bright and hidden ‘openly’? Can we take away just one without survivors crying bloody murder?

  • Rancor might get a couple more complaints if this new end game perk starts a new end game meta (for some killers).

I know I’m looking forward to it.

Even if I got done in, doesn’t mean it’s over just yet xD

  • Well, since everyone says Twins is slug heavy and that makes her unfun, why not take away the lethality of Victor pounces but in exchange, amp up the information he provides.

Like when Victor is on a survivor, his white aura blinks in and out every 3-5 seconds, for Charlotte to see. The Killer Instinct from Victor is much wider (when on survivor) then now, and Victor either takes longer to remove or survivor has to stand still. Victor no longer downs injured survivors, just another ride.

The idea would to use Victor as a very strong but non-lethal tool for information gathering.

Basically, if Victor gets you, be aware that Charlotte has you dead to right, it’s up to you to prolong for as long as you can. If you loop strong enough, the killer may call back Victor and try someone else, or keep an eye on you while they hunt others, at which point you choose to take him off or whatever.

Just my take on it. As they are now, hard not to slug heavy, it just works...

Oof, what's with these recent posts assuming Survivors just want to dick over Killers? I know the asymmetrical nature of the game puts both sides objectives at odds, but that doesn't mean the player mentality has to be "Hey, ######### the other side!"

Are there players who troll around and do things that make the experience less enjoyable for someone else? Yes, of course, but don't let that assumption override your mindset. Not every Survivor player is a small PP build with keys, flashlights, and BNP, just as how not every Killer player is a Stridor Spirit with an ebony mori. Don't go into each match thinking you have to go tryhard because the other side is out to make you miserable. All that does is run the risk of turning you into the killjoy.

Play how you want, it's your game, but don't get so worked up into thinking you have to sweat each match because the Survivors might dick you around. It'll sap any drop of enjoyment out of you.

    Your not a Killer main.

  • Technically the Killers are already united with the survivors...the SOLO survivors. Killers can still have fun and be more chill with a group of solo survivors. They can still effectively use all perks and not have to use meta perks every god damn game...with SOLO survivors.

    Sadly SWF.

  • I also add that if you like the strat of leaving Victor with your hook (Twins) then you might wanna try Fire Up. People forget that Fire up let’s you pick up and drop survivor quicker. So down survivor, walk them to hook, drop them and put out Victor, then pick up and hook. Saved more time then downing, looking for hook, bringing out Victor, placing him under hook, picking up and walking survivor (hoping nobody kicks him before you hook survivor).

Just a underrated killer perk tip.

  • Survivor: Technician. I like to try and get Great Skill checks, but wonky console hiccups and my lack of practice (killer main) tend to blow up the gen and embarrass myself. At least it would except now nobody knows when I’m messing up lol. Thanks technician~

Killer: Zanshin Tactics. Say what you will, but I leave pallets down and forget them, or I forget if I broke the pallet at this tile or not. Sporadically getting fed info that I’m too stupid to remember has helped me in game. Also, I pair it up with Nemesis and work with the survivor to bonk me in the head, throw in an obsession perk like Play with Your Food and now I got double the speed with my Twin Power.

  • You mentioned killer perks to help slow down gen pressure and suggest hit and run tactics. Not bad to mention those, but I just wanted to point out that survivors have multiple perks to help slam gens...also survivors regularly complain about hit and run because they want to be chased and your taking an aspect of the game away, when you don’t chase.

Same reason survivors dislike killers who shorten the chase, it’s when they feel most powerful and have the most fun. Few enjoy the generator simulator.

My point is, everything wrong with this game just follows a pattern back to a root.

    SWF Survivors<Killer<Solo Survivor<Specifically Weak Killers<Meg

As long as the game isn’t balanced around the idea that every Survivor can communicate with every other survivor and thus, buff killers, to then balance out perks, and lastly remove Meg...

We will always have more speedy gen pops and less fun chase time.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/236753/green-rank

Honestly if you just play the game alot you'll end up at red ranks before you know it, just make sure you get a unhook, heal a teammate, do gens , get chased, and do at least one totem and you will pip everytime

Oh is he a survivor main? I thought he was killer.

  • Well, if I was you, I ask or research the pip system. It’s the system that lets you rank up. If you don’t understand what to do to do to earn the most pips, then that’s where you should start.

Id explain to you, but I don’t care enough to understand it. I just wanna kill survivors any means necessary, even if he costs met pips or a derank.

  • Yeah, I use to bust out a Mori to counter a key or to feel a lil stronger after getting stomped 2-3 times.

I forgot I’m only allowed to be the survivors play thing D:

  • I loved Gotham City Imposters and played it faithfully, to the extent that people who also play regularly would recognize my Xbox username. I joined the Monolithe community, because they created the game. Everything was great, growing community, active mods from the development team, good communication and active teasers for new content. After the like 2nd or 3rd DLC drop, the mods started going radio silent.

The activity dropped. No new teasers. Wasn’t long till info on their next game was starting to surface. It was apparent they were letting go and ignoring GCI so it could die a slow death. It was tough.

Since then, I know not to easily put my blind faith in gaming companies. The ones that are more open with information and communicate clearly are the ones I can put some trust into.

Like Respawn Entertainment, I’ve been playing Apex Legends, since day one, and they have always been quick to inform people of game breaking bugs they are addressing immediately, giving us dates to new content drops, and when things go wrong, they ask for forgiveness and highlight what went wrong and why it effected us.

Are they perfect? Hell no, and they’ve made mistakes and let EA (probably) strong arm them into some shady money grabbing business, but ultimately when the community backlashed, they didnt ignore them and let it sit for several months or years.

I consider BHVR just another Monolithe who reluctantly still updates DbD only because they are to inept to create a new and stronger IP.

  • The likelihood of a survivor having one of their teachables is more likely then not. Survivors are just a skin, so most people just main 1 or 2 and jump on the others for dailies. So of course they’ll use what they got. I assume they will have a specific perk until proven otherwise.

    What is this "heal tech"?

A crawling survivor can not be picked up when being healed by another survivor. So killer has to hit the one healing the downed survivor. Killers have to wait a second because of the hit animation, the survivor on ground pulls further towards exit. The next healthy survivor jumps in. They walk the down survivor out the exit.

The tech wouldn’t be as disliked on killer side if it involved risk but everyone knows killer can only shoulder one survivor, so everyone swarms in on a downed survivor at exit gates.

  • P3 Claudette sneaking out of a bush to stare at my Mori nearly made me piss myself.

  • I took a chapter break and missed out on Twins. I’ve been playing them exclusively for 2-3 weeks now, from 16-1, and I didn’t believe slugging was necessary. I had fun experimenting and still playing fair but now that I’m back to red ranks...it really is the most reliable strat to remain competitive.

I slug heavy now. Most of my matches are 4 gone or 4 on ground :/

I still like my bonk shovel and terror toddler, so I’m not giving up on Twins just yet.

  • I can’t even with this today. I’ll stop by in one of tomorrow’s pity party topics and piss and moan with the rest of the normal people who were expecting the new chapter.

  • Love the design lol. Black skin, dark clothes, splashed with dark red blood. Yeah, the very cool design of going invisible is very cool, I agree.

    ’wink’

  • I suggest throwing every pallet down, the fake ones will explode into blood.

    EZ

  • You can’t stop me.

  • I vote for synergy. Even if you have a gimmicky perk, if it “completes” or compliments another perk, then it would be worth. Like, Hoarder is pretty lackluster by its self, but with Franklins, it has a type of potential. Create more synergy perks to boost or help other perks that are too weak.

  • I think I was in this game. Yeah, mid game Jimmy had a stomach issue and had to quickly transfer over to his toilet, Larry actually had the pizza guy show at the worst moment, I was distracting the hell out of you but my leg cramped up and severely effected how I was holding my mouse. Steve had a nose bleed and it apparently kept bleeding all game, thankfully he died first mid game, because we think he died first in RL too.

My point is, you just got lucky this time.

  • @Lascivar said:

I'm always pleased when someone DCs out of frustration, particularly in SWF games since they're cutting down the time I need to hook and can just begin moving on to the rest of the team.

Yeah, but not when your chasing a trophy or daily or something. The topic is about being robbed from something, in game, because the other side DC. It’s very frustrating, I’ll put Survivors on my shoulder and start praying “Plz don’t DC, Plz don’t DC”. Only to get the DC sound and my regular walk animation to kick back in.

    [BAD WORD]

  • Blight, I’m console, nuff said.

  • You know when a survivor drops a pallet early and points at you, your not allowed to break the pallet, you were actually stunned. Be sure to stand still the appropriate amount of seconds, and then you can resume chase.

  • Survivors, in base kit, need the mentality of helping each other out and doing everything you can to survive.

Even when your tunneled and you see one Dwight in locker, one meg head lost in the corner and one Claudette too immersed to save you, YOU STILL STRUGGLE.

Maybe the Claudette has Camaradie, maybe the Meg dropped her key because of Franklins and Dwight could be setting off Red Harring for all you god damn know.

Nope, you just killed yourself and the restmost of your team.

(Your doing a good job so far)

  • It means esping means Eternally Soft ping. He was saying your internet connection was sh*t

  • Be funny if someone using Zenshin could negate the effects of a Windows Of Op user, when within Killer radius.

    xD

  • So many circumstances to consider. Just put me down for 50/50. If I wanna sweat, I’ll chase the 4k, if I want to test my luck, I’ll kill the third and see what happens~

  • Think the crows are an untapped potential for a killer power. Maybe he could occasional pulse and trigger the crows to reveal survivors, much like Doctors blast but more widespread.

Then his secondary ability could collect crows that are startled by survivors and some how use them offensively. I’d imagine, you could transfer a crow(s) to a survivor on basic attack and they will continue to peck at the survivor and do laceration damage (like Trickster) until removed or your put into the dying state.

Other survivors can remove or you can remove them yourself by failing a generator skill check and shocking them away.

Nice to meet you, fellow Old Freddy main. Let me guess, miss our old killer?

Yea, I mean, who would spend so much timing learning and mastering a killer and then be 100% okay with a full rework?

Wish they would get the rights to Robert Englunds Freddy and the bring back Old Freddy. I’m down for Freddy and Retro Freddy and your damn right, between both of those Freddy being playable, I’d still choose the more difficult power.

  • I’ve only really Main the Old Freddy. Since his rework, I play everyone. I will say I’m on my 2nd week of Twins, I might main them.

Definitely didn't become the face of indie horror. The first game became a YouTube trend, Scott then proceeded to milk the sh*t out of the opportunity causing it to become a stain on the horror genre.

Became a Youtube trend because it was a frightening fun experience that was well received and fun to watch others play.

Ya know, becoming so popular and well known that even non-gamers took note of it and when researched or were spoken to about what it is, were told it was a new popular indie horror game.

Becoming the face of Indie Horror. You can cry all you want buddy but you can’t be milked without recognition and to be so iconic and easily recognized in mainstream is what it means to have face.

it’s the face of indie horror.
