  • Hag. I hate jumpscares.

  • Hmm, maybe, but what would it be? I'm a pretty dumb guy myself so I can't think of a lot of things, but:

    - he can't be a chase killer, since he's so slow and take so much time to down with his power.

    - he can't be a camp killer, again, 'cause he can't down fast.

    - he can't really be a slugger, still because of his power.

    - he doesn't have map pressure.

I mean, maybe he excels at hitting a lot of survivors at the same time?... For starters, I really don't think that would be it, and plus, standard meta tells that survivors must spread across the map quickly as possible, so...

If devs really have hidden ways of playing him, I'd really be curious about them.

  • Sorry for the tone, English is not my primary language.

Not sorry for my arguments, since I say them fully.

  • Tbf, I still think that if you're not good in violent or horrific environment, you shouldn't really be there...

This topic reminds me of Elise, from League of Legends, who is a woman who can morph into a huge spider. The devs said that on her first appearance, one guy passed behind a drawer, got spinechills and asked to make her differently, because his arachnophobia was acting on seriously with the first concept. Still, the character give a hard time for the people who suffer this phobia. And I can understand how this is a problem, since LoL is a fantasy game with a lot of colors, magics, cute and handsome characters. You don't really expect to be scared.

But this is different for DbD. I think that would be too hard to ask for changes because you choose to put yourself in a situation where you know you'd be stressed badly. Though I won't say "stop playing" either, obviously. I think you'll have to learn to live with it.

  • Maybe the laugh is a good clue? I tested him, and though I'm not at all impacted in your way, I think I can have some thoughts about it. Now that I think of it, Trickster is the only one who sounds like actually *enjoy* being here, doing what he's doing.

Doctor's laugh just prove his madness (in my sense) and you wrapped up the Deathslinger's one pretty good. For most of the other killers, they're are just too monstrous to care or have accepted their fate as bad guys.

And I think that the fact that Clown sound so much like an old man with a lot of health problems diminish the uneasiness of his laughs.

  • Definitely. This is how I imagined the perk at first. I don't really understand why they didn't make it that way.

  • I hate that bug too, it really is misleading.

Sound is the second most important thing in this game and yet it would be the most bugged one. This bug in particular is very flashy, since it happens so often. At least one per trial, this is ridiculous.

  • I hope so. What is it? Isn't it the heart from the Broken state?

  • Thanks for the laugh, quality topic

  • Less character quest, more objectiv sided pls.

I'm tired of phantasm hit 12 times in a row with Hag, she's boring to spam for me, givemesomethingelse.

  • I like Ghostface as a funny-mess-around Killer but once you hit purple rank, oh BOY.

I still have some things to learn, but gosh, every time I play him I feel I'm the real victim. Always one or two on my back, picking me out of my power, looping me for more if I try to chase them away then back to the "we're the stalkers, not you". So frustrating.

I think that he's the only one beside Trapper having a power being totally in control of the Survivors. Maybe even worse, at least disarming a trap give some valuable information to the Trapper. Like, thank you Killer Instinct, now I know that this guy from across the map and behind two walls revealed me, appreciated.

  • What is the problem with immersed players, exactly?

  • Lore-wise, Pyramid Head has no place to be in DbD. He's dead. But he's here, tho, and a lot of ppl are happy. See? That's the magic with a videogame: you can do whatever you want.

The new killer has a good story, maybe not the best, but I liked it. I like his style, I like that he's Korean and I like every sound he make in game. But I do not like k-pop and the related pictures. Still, the Trickster is awesome. I'm happy that he comes in the game and I just want more and more characters.

Bendy? Why not. Could be him, or a knock-off. I think that a creepy cartoon-like character could be really cool. Clowns aren't meant to be scary, but they've been some iconic horror figures. Cartoons should not scare, but a lot of ppl got traumatized with Fantasia, the Disney movie. Horror and scary have an infinity of shapes. Developers can add or bend whatever or whoever they want in their game.

wyh do people actually stay in the gate, healthy, waiting to get hit? like... just leave.

To farm points. Getting hit give you points, hitting give you points. Everybody is happy. Or should be.

There was an age, eons ago, where ppl would farm at the gate for some times. Getting hit, healing, hit again. These times are gone now.

There was an age, eons ago, where you could farm for some time at the end game, with 3 to 4 Survivors who'd just let you hit them, get healed and hit again for a few secs. These times are gone now.

  • If I got rekt and/or I know I can't do anything more to win or get at least one more down, I'd just run on the map using my power for a little bit more of point or looking for pallets/breakable walls to destroy.

And why tf should that be bannable, lmao? It's not even a bad manner. I'd rather see the little kids who stay at the gate like they wait for a hit and dead hard away get banned. Congratulations, now I don't give the last hit at the gate anymore.

  • I always play Blight like an old farmer half-deaf and always angry. "GET OFF MA' CROPS YOU GIDDY O' BUCKLEHEADS!!"

Wraith moves faster while cloaked than having purple windstorm used to as a basekit thing. In exchange he slows down more while uncloaking, making it more situational to uncloak mid-chase. Still, an overall buff to a very deserving killer.

    Thank you.

When I saw that he got changes, I expected something more deep than just a boost of movement, but hey, that's still something! I'm a bit hyped, can't wait to test it

  • Fair enough, I did ask for a summerize.

I'll still need more precisions, tho.

  • No access to the PTB for the moment, can you summerize or pass me a link the changes, plz?

  • I got blamed for loosing a game.

Not in a "you're a noob way", mind you. They told me "we all depipe". Like that's my fault. Bad map, mid killer, noob player (me), they rekted me and it's MY fault. Sometimes, ppl baffled me. So there's that.

In general, any proof of disrespect bother me. And for the record, croutching multiple times is bad manner, I don't care if you and your SO are the two people in your area who use it to communicate politely. For everyone else it's t-bagging and not appreciated.

  • Now that you mention it... It's true that I stopped playing Plague because I somehow get against godlike Survivors who destroy me and make my game miserable.

There may be a pattern here...

I'm looking at the lips and those seem somewhat feminine to me. Maybe you're right and it's a somewhat feminine man. Or it's a trans character or something.

I zoomed in on my phone and... Either he has three lips, or he got a mustache. '-'

"Mightee One Entertainment" doesn't exist as a real company, neither does it exist in any game or media. This is most likely a original chapter, sorry OP.

The woman in this image is either the next Survivor or the next Killer. And she's a original DBD character, I'm guessing.

I think that's a man. Could be wrong, but I really think it's a man.

  • I was chased by a Huntress and me being the bad Survivor that I am, I ran straight to a corner of the map. My mind being "welp, gonna die now", I saw a big stone near a wall that I thought I could pass by the left to make the chase longer.

Little did I know that there was another rock right next to the first one, making this path a dead-end. Funny thing is, the Huntress saw through my first plan and pass by the right while I was all "OHSHITSHITSHITSHIT". When I saw where she went, I died of laughing and proceed to run the other way. Fun times.

  • Simplicity and complexity should have the same result.

A simple gameplay should not be less efficient than a complex one, nor more. A complex gameplay should not justify an insane superiority just because it's harder to master.

If someone choose to learn the hard parts, it's his choice, but the only thing that he should gain from it would be his own way of fun.

At least that how things should be in a perfectly balanced game, but I'm not against some differences if they are fair. Some gameplay are better in some specific ways, while others are best on another part of the game. Often, the problem is that where a gameplay is best lead to being even better than others (exemple: being good on mobility beat being good on chase).
