I guess we can't have a discussion about gen grabs then, because apparently every piece of information needs to be cited (some of which is probably insider information kept secret from the public) and all this other matter-of-fact red tape. Why, we might as well not have forums at all, because too many 'lies'!
And that's rich coming from you because you literally replied saying the exact same thing I did. We both said: "It's the servers"! If you don't need a source, neither do I.
I mean, obviously it is the Servers. This was also acknowledged by the Devs in one Livestream. And problems with grabs on both sides started when Dedicated Servers went live.
But saying that it is calculated on the Survivor Side is simply wrong.

Well I say it's dumb as hell, get better at the game and dont get caught twice. There is no point in having to wait until they would die anyway. Thats why it's such a rare offering I thought.
Moris are not rare, especially the Ebony Mori is not rare at all. It is the strongest Mori and the most common one.
And well, get better at the game and dont rely on OP Offerings to get your Kills?
-
Because Killer Instinct is something different than Auras. It was designed to be that way, it is not an oversight or anything. If Devs would have want that you can hide from Legion in Lockers, they would have made Feral Frenzy work with Auras and Survivors not affected by the Deep Wound-State would be shown as Auras instead of Killer Instinct.

Don't be like that. It's a well known fact. It doesn't need a source. Try to go for a gen grab (outside of potato ranks) and you will get it about 1/10 times. Maybe with Ghost Face or lvl 1 Meyers you'll get it easier because of no terror radius.
I thought we were past this; the general consensus is that the game regularly takes away gen grabs.
Its not a fact. Stop spreading lies declaring them as fact, when you dont even have a proof for that.
-
Dedicated Servers-issue. It goes both way btw., as Survivor you can even let go and still get grabbed. Because on the other side, the Survivor left the Gen before he got grabbed or the Killer got the grab, so the other perspective is ignored, which leads to Survivors getting grabbed despite letting go and Killers getting the Grab Animation and a Hit or nothing out of it.
We basically have to wait for the Devs to fix that, nothing you can do about that on players side.
-
Hatch should not be removed.
When it comes to Keys, those already get reworked, no need to make Moris a direct Counter to Keys or the Hatch.
-
I guess because Undying does not affect you, except for the Aura Read. But those dont give a notification.
@[Deleted User] said:
It should give a notification when your aura is revealed so at least you can prepare yourself before cleasing a totem.
Nah, it should not give a notifcation, neither of the Aura Reads does that. And this is fine, because you should always play like the Killer has one of those Perks which reveal your Aura.
I would rather remove the Aura Read from Undying or at least let it only reveal the Aura when someone is cleansing a Totem instead of just standing next to it.

Yeah, he is still good to play. Maybe some more players will return to BIlly when they see that he did not get gutted at all.
I remember when nobody played Spirit when she got her (hopefully first...) Nerf. This was a good time. Then everybody realized that she is still strong and everyone played her again. D:
-
Totally fine. People who grinded the Rift got those Cosmetics cheaper than those who buy them.
They also announced it right from the start that the Cosmetics will be released in the Shop after a minimum period of 6 months. In fact, it is way more than that, so players who earned those Cosmetics had quite a long time to show them off.
-
So, to get this right: You are opening a Thread to say that you are unhappy that the most OP thing on the Killers side has been nerfed, and as a reaction to this, you are doing Insidious Camping?
Damn, you got those Survivors on their balls!

Glad you opened the 100th Thread comparing PGTW and DS.

Most of the time Mirror Myers only works on Indoor Maps. IMO it only works really well on Lerys (and maybe The Game), so if you see an Indoor Map burned and it is a Myers, you should expect Scratched Mirror. So hiding etc. does not really work.
If they burn The Game, you can loop Myers for Ages. Dont drop the Pallets until you are injured, just use the Speed Boost from a Hit, Mirror Myers is really slow and Pallets on The Game are very safe, so he will have a hard time catching you. If they burn Midwich, hold W and even those bad Pallets in the Rooms are decent against him. If they burn Hawkins, try to use the Rooms where stairs lead Upstairs, Myers will have a hard time catching you there.
When healing, do it next to a Pallet where you have clear vision to all sides so that he cannot jumpscare you.
In general, Mirror Myers can be a lot of fun to go against, if they just dont use their lack of Terror Radius to camp.

It is a big deal to me, and to the pipping system. That person did not deserve to escape, forgive me for using the d word.
And who says that you deserve your 4K? In the end, all 5 Gens were done, so you did not really do a good Job.
-
Yep. Otherwise this happens:
Just yesterday I also lost a game as Survivor because of this. That one Survivor wanted to farm another player (she did not even have BT..), got downed by the Killer, crawled under the Hook.
And best thing is, I was not even able to unhook the guy on the Hook, because the game always gave me the option to healed the downed Survivor.
If anybody is doing that, they are just killing their team with this. And for no reason, they will get picked up later anyway... (And maybe facecamped, like I did with this Nea after Feng died)
-
IMO Wraith does not need that much (faster while cloaked, invisible from a distance, less noise (breathing and footsteps)) and some Add On Tweaks (especially Windstorm, when he gets faster at base) to become a better Killer. I dont even think he is bad to begin with, he is a solid Killer and most of the time you will 4K with him at Red Ranks.
When it comes to walking through walls, I like the idea, but I dont think that the Devs should invest time in that. In the end, they would probably need to program A LOT for that, since Wraith was never supposed to do that. And I can imagine that there will quite a bunch of Bugs where players get stuck in Walls or stuff like that.
-
Several things:
Mori Nerf (finally, it only took them years to see that they were the most broken thing on the Killer side)
Blight, since he is a very well designed Killer and he was a relief after the Killers before him were just like "yeah, you lose in a chase if the Killer is not stupid, regardless what you do"
New Gen Animations.
What I wish for:
Key Rework (IMO if Moris and Keys are reworked the biggest problems on either side are dealt with) as soon as possible
Rework of dumb Killer Add Ons (Tombstone Piece, Pinky Finger, Iri Heads, Exhaustion Add Ons...)
Hag Rework to make her fun to play as (at least for me, lol) and fun to play against (like, give her more chance to chase Survivors but remove her oppressive gameplay around hooks)

Killer: Ruin was nerfed too much it's useless now.
Survivor: LMAO, now you'll have to apply pressure for it to work baby killer!
Killer: *actually applies pressure with ruin and has a safety net for bad RNG with undying*
Survivor: NOOO, you can't use this build! It's too boring and OP!!!
The thing is, Ruin/Undying even helps bad Killers. While the change of Ruin was good (effortless Slowdown transferred to Slowdown for Killers who play well), the addition of Undying made it that even Potatoes can get quite good value out of Ruin.
Add Tinkerer, which is a big "Abandon Chase and go there for Slowdown!"-Sign, and basically a Toddler can play that on a high-mobility Killer.

Why be so negative? They were just asking for other people's thoughts. This has no connection to nerfing survivors.
Because it is always the same. Like, removal of Red Stain or Terror Radius would be fine, but dark Maps not. Because, Horror games are not dark, eh?
-
Myers can easily get some buffs, over the years he got powercreeped. But not the Buffs you are mentioning, it seems like you dont see how important Movement Speed is. You dont want to mess with that.
The Pallet Break is also really fast.
IMO they should do something about Tier 1, let it ignore Spine Chill again (as it used to be, before they introduced Undetectable) and maybe add a passive Build-Up for EW1(similar to Oni, but faster) so that Myers is not completely lost on large Maps.
Also his Add Ons can get some work, the Movement Speed Increase Add-Ons while stalking can be changed to something else, since going from super-slow to slow while stalking is not useful. The god-awful Vanity Mirror can get his Movement Speed Debuff removed. Maybe some Buffs to Duration Add Ons.
But overall, I think working on his Add Ons and doing something for Evil Within 1 would be enough to make him better.
-
And again another "How to nerf Survivors"-Thread, which is disguised as a "How to make the game more scary"-Thread. But if someone mentions darker maps, they dont want to make the game more scary anymore...
The game will not be scary after some time of playing. You cant do anything about it, that is just how Horror works. You cannot expect to be scared after watching a Horror Movie for 10 times or after playing a Horror Game 10 times. Being scared of a movie or game goes away pretty quickly if you see it often.
Let alone that more stealth-oriented gameplay would just be boring. I rather chase Survivors than not finding anyone because the game requires them to be hidden to survive.
-
@JinSime said:
As killer, you also get an icon telling you the survivor have a perk that affects you, like Boiling Over.
Whenever any player have a hazard, the game tell you why. That's OK.
^ this.
It should always be known what is happening. Not everyone has Hundreds of hours, and if someone loses their Item due to Franklins, they should know WHY they lost it. Or if someone cannot see Hooks close to them and has a hard time walking while carrying a Survivor, they should know that a Perk is doing that.
In the Postgame Results they can check the Icon and see what exactly the Perk or Add On does.
Not giving any information would make the game pretty confusing for newer players.
-
After Ormonds Rework, it is Haddonfield. Before I would have said that it is Ormond.
But I also hope that they rework The Game, I just hate it as Killer, because almost every Pallet is safe and there is not much to mindgame. Its a bad map for both sides, since it is very survivor-sided at the start but gets killer-sided, once the Pallets are gone, because Survivors dont really have anything to work with at this point.
-
I dont like to go against them. I would be totally fine with buffing them, if the Devs remove the annoying aspects. Camping with either Victor or Charlotte should not be possible.
Having an idle Charlotte at the Hook is basically Insidious-Camping, as long as Victor does not get crushed. And having an idle Victor at the Hook would require the Survivor to crouch (which still would make it possible to switch to Victor after the Unhook), which is the same as Hag, which is already a boring Killer to go against because of exactly that Mechanic.
Just instead of triggering a Trap the Killer sees Killer Instinct, which allows them to switch to Victor.
Also Victors Hitbox feels HUGE. He smacked a Wall next to me and I still got downed, one time he hit the air fair above me and still downed me. Is there an actual image of the Hitbox btw?
@AChaoticKiller said:
They need buffs and a better limit to their camping.
They need to buff victor being on survivors as it isn't threatening, making him down you after 45 seconds(can be adjusted) would make chases more interesting since they have to take off victor but also be careful when doing so since it will stun them.
Also just some QOL changes are needed, things like charlottes camera being locked when switching to her is so annoying and unnecessary.
The thing is, Victor downing a Survivor after 45 seconds (or whatever amount) would just be a lose/lose Situation once again. Either the Survivor gets downed by Victor or they get downed by Charlotte while getting Victor off. Sure, it could waste up to 45 seconds if the Survivor would just keep Victor on their shoulders, but having a guaranteed down in a Chase without anything to do against it is the same as a Killer bloodlustig until he reached Tier 3 or old Legion.

They and the entire rift contents cost 1000 auric cells which translates to real life currency.
Not that I'm particularly bothered as they are both sitting on my cosmetic shelf gathering dust. If people want to buy them for earned currency all good.

The thing is, are you actually outplaying them, or are the survivors just making mistakes? For example on the coldwind farm, it is pretty easy to loop a killer for ages on shack since you can see through the walls. The killer can still mindgame you, but if you are playing it well then the killer will not be able to take a hit until you run away to another tile. Now, there are some people who haven't fully learned how to play certain tiles correctly, once they do there is not much you can do about it. Sure you could moonwalk or do other mindgames like fake going one way, but once the survivor knows what to do and what to look out for it can feel pretty helpless sometimes. A lot of the time during a chase, you aren't really outplaying the survivors, you are just hoping they make a mistake.
If you always think you only got a Hit because Survivors made mistakes, you should quit playing DBD; lol.

I disagree on it being okay to have killers with different power levels. People most of the time find killers fun who are also effective at doing their job, ie killing. If you have killers who are weaker it will drive people away from them the higher the ranks they go. This means you will only see the same killers at the high ranks, Oni's, spirit's, p heads, etc. This creates rather stale gameplay in some people's eyes. I myself would also like to see more killers that are actually threatening at the high ranks. Even a really good player who decides to play someone like pig will get destroyed against survivors who know that they are just an m1 killer and take advantage of that.
Every Killer can be played at Rank 1. And personally, I prefer M1-Killers over Killers like Spirit. Not only does it feel like the Survivors have actually a chance to win, but I also feel better when I win, since I outplayed them and did not press M2 into a Hit.
So maybe it is "most of the time", but certainly not for me. Like, my Main Killer is Pig and in general I prefer Killers who are more basic.

Except that PH was and still is a lot stronger than the Twins. They need a buff.
Thats actually a good point to negate this "Twins are weak, so Killers have to camp"-BS some people bring up. PH was always stronger and still players camped.
It is an oversight from the Devs, this just happens if you give a Killer basically built-in Insidious.
But I am totally fine with Twin-Buffs, as long as they get rid of camping with them.
-
Its fine that Killers have different Power Levels. If you compare Wraith and Oni, you should also acknowledge that playing Wraith is easier than playing Oni.
It is fine to have Killers who are strong and Killers who are weaker, especially when they are more simple to play. The only difference are Freddy and Spirit, both are not hard to play (with Freddy being the easiest Killer) with the strength they have.
So its good that there are Killers which you basically can pick up and play without having to study them before, but it is also fine if those are not the strongest Killers.

Ok so killers can't run memes now?
That's like asking why do survivor care about "Any Means Necessary" or any non meta perk.
People have fun finding uses for under-powered perks and by nerfing it it removed that fun from the game.
Ah, NOW Killers want to meme. :^)
Let alone that this Thread is nonsense. At least dont complain if Devs dont communicate with the Forum Members, if you are opening Threads like this (or do Youtube-Videos like this, even if OP did not do said video, but another Forum User did).
-
MAYBE let the Skeleton Key let one person escape.
But overall, I would be pretty happy if Keys function for Aura Read and get buffed in that aspect (so that the purple and green Key have more Usage). Blood Amber can be nerfed or have a really high consumption rate.
But I think it would be neat if Maps are for environmental Aura Read and Key are for Player Aura Read.
If Keys still have a function to open the Hatch (for one person, with animation, whatever), the Add Ons to keep the Key should be removed/changed.
-
I am always amazed how Killer Mains can care that much for Perks which they would have never played anyway.

Well, I absolutely dont know. Could also be possible that they are exclusive for a year and then given out to everyone next year. Which would also not be ideal.

Coldwind will most likely be next, they said that they will go over the old Maps first, since they have done Autohaven and MacMillan, Coldwind should be next.
Would be nice if they address the Deadzones as well and dont ruin Coldwind completely by putting a lot of empty space in it as well.
I would not mind if they delete the Swamp Maps "by accident".

It is not.
Huntress is not that hard to pick up when you go for some mediocre to decent games. Like, if you are fine with not 4King every match, you can learn her pretty fast.
However, she has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game, there can be worlds between a decent Huntress and a really good Huntress.
Personally, I would avoid using Wind-Up Add Ons, since you can get used to those and when playing her without those Add Ons the Wind-Up will feel painfully slow. I never used them because of that (but I am not really good at Huntress, but she is one of the most fun Killers to play IMO).

I truly believe that if they made this possible it would break the game.
It wouldnt.
People seriously need to stop to pick one of the mediocre Survivor Perks every Chapter and call them out for being "OP" or "game-breaking".
With the stories I heard over the last year, a Survivor with For the People, Soul Guard (or Blood Pact...), Desperate Measures and Power Struggle would be the most OP thing in the game.

I second this. Buying any cosmetics is optional. I share your stance on legendary skins, too. But I´d even be fine with these if it weren´t for the fact my poor Krampus is bugged.
How is it bugged?
The thing what bothers me is that it is just a Set-Cosmetic (which costs 1080 ACs usually), but just costs more ACs without giving any value back. When they introduced the Lisa-Skin I thought that the higher price is because of a different voice actor, which would have been justified. But I dont see paying 5 Bucks extra for no improvement over a regular Set-Cosmetic.
(Ofcouse thats just me, if others enjoy their Legendary Skins, even better, they look really good, especially Krampus and Minotaur)
-
I prefer expensive cosmetics over expensive Chapters. So I am totally fine with 10 Dollar/Euros for a complete Skin, they are optional, after all. And nobody is forced to buy them, e.g. I would like to have the new Ace-Outfit for Christmas Season, but it is AC-only and I wont spend money on it when I just use it in December. But this does not affect my gameplay at all.
The only thing I dont agree with are Legendary Skins, because they just cost more without any justification (like other voice actors, name in lobby, etc.), but this is a different topic.

Except now they are detrimental. They cost 7k, but also cost you points and emblems in game when they are used. They HAD a purpose, even if it was one that some of us disagreed with, but now I would argue they aren't usable, because with the exception of flashlight squads, sabo squads, and DS, hooking is always the better option. Better for emblems, more points, and triggers your perks. It is a 7k waste, and they were NOT given warning like survivor items that were nerfed were. A buy back is completely within reason.
Nope, not at all. The Devs can change anything they like, you agree to that when playing the game. There is also no guarantee that there is a Warning.
Really, asking to sell back Moris for full price is entitlement at its best. Toolboxes were made almost useless as well, still nobody asked for full BP-Compensation. But Killers are like "Oh no, the most OP thing in the game got nerfed! Give BPs back please!".
-
Hot takes:
Bad Killers dont deserve Survivor Nerfs.
When someone says that playing Killer is difficult, they are not good at playing Killer.
DBD is an easy game on both sides.
-
There is ZERO Reason why this should even be an option. Everything in this game can be changed, this includes Moris. Especially after they said that there will be changes, Moris should have been avoided as good as possible from the Bloodweb.
Also, they are still useable. Only because you dont want to use them anymore, does not mean that you should get the points back. Like, I dont use Map Offerings, still I dont want to sell them back for the full price.
