You prove it all by yourself by calling being camped in a video game "oppression"
There is a difference between camped in a videogame (this one is fine) and being camped in a videogame because you belong to a specific ethnic group (this one is not fine, not even close).

Clown nerf, Nemesis nerf, Twins nerf, Pig slight buff, Dead Man Switch meta.
Also, boil over is a nightmare and the BP gains for the Event are super good for Survivor but pretty meh for Killer. I've gotten 90K BP as Survivor iirc
And usually Survivor BP-Gain is more than "meh", while Killers easily get way more.
And how did you get 90k BPs as Survivor? The highest I got was 55k BPs. Or did you include the 20k BPs for the Beta as well?
@Topic:
I did not notice any difference. At least yesterday evening, Survivor Queues were around normal. I guess it can happen that they are longer, because Survivors can get Items out of their Bloodwebs, meaning that some players might play more Survivor to farm some Items.
And, another possible reason might be the Beta-Tab. Players want to test it and players want to get the 200k BPs for testing it.
-
It will be used in groups who want to be annoying. But those are usually not even the groups Killers complain about, Killers complain about sweaty Survivors, players who use Boil Over are not the same as sweaty Survivors.
I would compare it to No Mither-Sabosquads. You will almost never see them and when you see them, it will be annoying. But in regular DBD-gameplay, you wont see Boil Over.
-
45 minutes sounds way too long. Most of the time Queue Times depend on the time of the day (e.g. for me, Killer Queues are way longer over the day and instant in evening, for Survivor it is vice-versa).
But I think you should quit the queue and requeue again, sometimes the game shows to you that it is searching for a match but it is doing nothing.

Yea but really Dried Cherry Blossom is not as strong as Father's Glasses, a Spirit can misread the Killer Instinct wrong and miss the attack since there is a few second delay to the pulses
This is true. However, Dried Cherry Blossom is also not really good designed. The problem is that both share the same Drawback and it makes Tracking easier IMO.
But those two are the only two Add Ons which need changing and those two Add Ons are the only problem I have with Spirit. I dont really like to go against her in general, but this goes for a bunch of Killers (even weaker ones) and is just personal preference and not something I would consider a problem.

Yes they do sadly.....they want her and her add-ons that increase her speed or help her find survivors easier to be nerfed to the ground or removed. Most mains won't be satisfied until she is a Z tier Killer like most.
"making it easier" is nicely put. If you use MDR and Dried Cherry Blossom the game is basically playing for you.
-
I played one game as Nurse just now and it worked fine for me. But I also had a quite bugfree experience with her before the Patch.
But I dislike the breathing sounds when she is in fatique. Once again some unneccessary sound effect added. :/
-
While I think that Lightburn should be removed, it is not that bad against Wraith.
As long as you are circling the Survivor who tries to burn you, you will be fine as Wraith. Wraith is fast enough when cloaked to avoid the Beam and the Survivor will most likely just get injured while trying to burn the Wraith.

I know Stretch Res can give you a huge advantage but at what cost? :D
I'll take my chances and dump my Game Boy Color graphics...
Sometimes I really have a good laugh when I see stretched resolution. E.g. when I check the Stream of a Killer I went against and see that the Blight in their Lobby is wider than tall.
I mean, I am not someone who cares that much about graphics, there are good games with bad graphic, but making your game intentionally looking like #########... I dont really understand this.
-
You will only see it when there is a group of Survivors who want to be annoying. And those dont play to escape, so you can expect them to not do Gens efficiently or anything like this.
Most of the time you wont see Boil Over, since it does not help to win games at all.
-
Do they play on a Game Boy Color?
-
I am not a fan of SBMM, but come on:
"After the arrival of SBMM, no match is more fun. The gens fly, all the survivors use meta perks and think they're in the DBD world cup. We are no longer able to use fun builds because it is extremely frustrating and they heal in a matter of seconds thanks to the boom."
The Survivors use Meta-Perks? Like they did before SBMM?
And if you are using Fun Builds (I guess you mean Meme-Builds), dont expect to win. Either you want to win, then use competitive Builds. Or, you want to have fun, but then it should not matter to you if you want to win or not.
-
Quite clear IMO.
The thing is, both dont indicate Skill. There are so many factors which make it impossible to see if someone is better just based on results.
IMO the Emblem System was not perfect for a Matchmaking, but with a few Tweaks, it could have been solid. It should have been harder to rank up for both sides, you had Killers and Survivors at Rank 1 who did not belong there. Also, Rank Reset should have been bigger.
But, the Devs are stubborn and think an MMR is needed and that their vision of an MMR is the correct one. Those two things will prevent any improvements anytime soon.
-
You see it in the Lobby while queuing up (which can take a while depending on the time of the day) and in the Postgame-Screen.

How would you nerf his Tier 3 though? That's arguably his main gimmick and where he gets his strength from, and he is already considered a very weak killer.
If anything, they'll have to further buff his tier 3, and make it easier to get to tier 3 or something. Or they would need to rework him completely, which I think many people wouldn't be happy about.
I wrote "Infinite Tier 3", meaning Fragrant Tuft of Hair. His Tier 3 on its own might get improvements (maybe a faster Pallet-breaking on top of the bigger lunge and the faster vaulting).

Yeah, I did. The issue is that my stats were originally on paper, so I had to convert them over by hand to a spreadsheet, which was, uh, less than fun.
I just edited it to have the link to the updated PDF at the bottom, so the stats aren't accurate as I have an extra 66 games on the spreadsheet that came AFTER I published the data.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/303463/survivor-totem-experiment-200-games
Thank you!
I will have a look and comment in the other Thread, maybe this afternoon (my time).
Just glimpsed about it, a Huntress with 11 Hooks and a 4K on The Game, strong player.
(But overall it looks like MMR is doing nothing. There are solid Killers followed by some who only get 1 Hook..)

I haven't had an opportunity to mention it, but what did you think of the stats I took over 200 games?
I can upload the PDF of the raw updated spreadsheet, if you'd like.
Did you open a Thread with them? If yes, link me to it, otherwise it might be too much Off-Topic.
If not, feel free to upload it, I have not seen it yet.
-
Yeah, only 2 4Ks in 45 games. If you make up numbers, just make them a bit more realistic.
You must be playing in tournaments. And getting those results while playing Solo, which is the most unrealiable thing in the game.
I doubt it until I see some gameplay. (Let alone - how do you know you are at high MMR? And since when does high MMR mean anything? We know it is not skill-based)
-
This is one (1) example.
The other thread is about MMR and Bubba is just the Killer OP used as an example.
There are not really Bubba Hate-Threads, most Threads which mention Bubba are more about Camping or Facecamping and Bubba being good at it is just the point where he gets mentioned.

Last PTB had so much work. They nerfed Spirit and Slinger. And they buffed Plague and Trapper. And so much killers had add-on changes. Probably this was reason. But i don't why we have not any changes for Ghosty and Leg for current PTB. If this will take that long, should we wait big changes or should we keep our expectations low?
While this Midchapter-Patch was full of changes, the Tombstone Piece is the most obvious Add On which should be nerfed IMO. You cannot really look at it and say "Ah, its fine". So I dont really know why they would stop at this Add On. Myers in general has a flaw that you can be downed instantly despite never seeing him before and Tombstone Piece just makes this worse. (Ghostface is more fair in this aspect, if I get marked, I was at fault.)
@Topic:
As others have said, the next Killers are Legion and Ghostface, followed by Twins. But I would agree that Myers needs some Love, his Tombstone Piece and Infinite Tier 3 need to be nerfed and the Buffs to his Add Ons he received recently did not really lift him up. He is heavily outdated, when I started playing, most players ranked him as a solid Killer and over the time he just got more irrelevant.
But I doubt it will happen anytime soon.
-
@DoritoHead said:
There is NO WAY to implement lethality into Legion's power without it becoming a disaster.
^ this.
You can either have a strong Killer OR a Killer who vaults Pallets and Windows. Not both.
WIth their current Power, Legion cannot be a strong Killer. Even in their initial state they were not strong, they were good at downing a single Survivor while losing the game because the other 3 did Gens.
When it comes to changes for them... As long as they dont rework them, I expect some number changes (probably fatique decrease including nerf to their Cooldown-Add Ons and MAYBE a Speed-Increase) and Add On-Changes (maybe the return of Speed Add-Ons and general Add-On Buffs).
-
You cannot just compare the raw chasetime.
A Bubba who downs a Survivor in 20 seconds in a Deadzone is not better than the Bubba who needs 1 minute to down a Survivor on The Game.
Hooks are also not the ultimate factor to show players Skill. But you cannot have a functional MMR-System in DBD which takes into account all factors.
Map-wise alone there are so many factors - which Maps, how many Pallets spawned, which Windows spawned, which Tiles in general spawned, which direction do some tiles face (e.g. a Shack facing to the Trial-Wall on Father Campbells Chapel is not really impressive, a Shack facing INTO the Map into a Jungle Gym on the other hand...).
So it is not possible to have the perfect system.
However, overall, Hooks are a better indicator than Kills. Not a good one on their own, but better.
-
Most used is BBQ, simply for stonks.
But I really like Lethal Pursuer, I liked it when it was announced and I like to use it when playing Killer. It just gives me a good feeling when starting a game.
-
I hope not. Pinhead has too many voicelines now in my opinion, I probably wont play him anymore because of this. Yes, it is cool. But it will become annoying at some point. Same with Ash, I cannot stand him, just because of his dumb voicelines.
In general, I dont really like the sounds they add sometimes, whether it is Billys Roar or Trappers grunt when carrying maximum traps. You need half a braincell to look at the bottom left to see how many Traps you have, no need for such a notification.
That being said, if they add an option to disable Voicelines, they can add as many as they like. They can make Clown a Stand-Up Comedian or make Victor tell Dad Jokes, I dont care, as long as it can be disabled.
-
When they dont spawn on one of the 3 blocked Gens, they will probably near one of the 4 unblocked ones, which means that you only need to look at 4 Gens to find Survivors.
Also, it always blocks the Gen which are furthest away from you, so you will never have to bother about the Gen which is full Map away at the start of the game.
I dont really think it is an issue at all that Survivor might not spawn on blocked Gens.

You'd be surprised how you can turn the tide with only 3 survivors.
Remember old spirit where she had collision?
And old Gideon meat plant?
No comms and at least me as a solo, no info perks to warn us if she was coming to me.
1 dc practically at the start with 5 gens left.
She definitely didn't hold back and tried everything to get all 3 of us.
In the end me and 1 other were able to escape by completing all the gens.
So it's not impossible, but it is definitely hard to pull off.
Yeah, then the Spirit was not good at the game. Sorry to say this, but DBD is a game of Snowballing. Either the Killer gets a Kill early enough to make it hard for the Survivors to do Gens (since at some point, you always have 1 Survivor on the Hook, one in Chase and one going for the Unhook, which is 0 Gen Progression) OR the Survivors do Gens so fast that the Killer will be snowballed.
And both cannot really be changed, UNLESS one side is way better than the other side. (Or parts of the side, when it comes to the Killer perspective, when they find the weaklink)
-
I mean, Trickster is not really enjoyable to go against. But aside from that, as long as they are not way better than you, playing a 3v1 with 5 Gens is pointless, they dont have a chance to win.
-
Personally I use BBQ (for stonks), Lethal Pursuer (to get into the first chase and to know where many Survivors spawned), Enduring (Pallet Stuns are shorter than Fatique and many Survivors still stun Legion out of their Power) and Corrupt Intervention.
But most Legions just for for maximum Slowdown, because you can just slap this on without much thought. Add Mending-Add Ons and you make the game long enough to kill everyone.

The data all exists in the same dataset. It would literally take them 15 seconds. Filter FOR SSBM greater than or equal to 1800. Done.
Edit: Based on Nurses stats alone we know it should be SIGNIFICANTLY different.
Using Nurse as a justification for more stats is pretty weak, since she is the only Killer who is very different from all other Killers.
@DemonDaddy said:
Plus the average # of hooks, counting single hook deaths as a single hook for accuracy.
Even if you include all of this, people would still find reasons to see why the stats are not true.
With the current stats we have, you can at least see that playing Killer is not as bad as people claim it to be.

1. That's not a justification so much as just pointing out the facts. The game is over when all the survivors are either dead or have escaped.
2. Do you really want the game to just end at the 5th gen? No last dash for saves or anything, just suddenly a results screen because your teammate finished a gen while you were in the middle of a different play? I know I wouldn't enjoy that. I love the mad rush to get past the killer and out the doors, and I'd miss it
No, I dont. But I also did not say that I want it to be the case. Dont really know how you get the idea.

Solo's will never be as good as swf even if Behaviour introduces built in comms. Bad teammates will still be bad teammates and still perform unsafe rescues, hide behind rocks, self care in a corner on the other side of the map while you're bleeding out on a hook and so on.
People are over estimating how good Solo Queue can be. Sure, it can be better, but it isn't the communication that's a main problem. Sure, it's part of it, but matchmaking is more of a problem that needs to be improved upon to see any real improvement.
Exactly. IMO the communication in SWFs is hugely overrated. The main reason why there is a gap between Solos and SWFs is because you filter out bad teammates when playing as SWF.
So whatever they decide to help Solo Queue might not even help that much. There is 0 point in knowing what my teammates are doing, when they do nothing while I am being chased.

Killer players are justifying NOED with "When all Gens are done the game is not over". So do you really think they want to let the game end with all Gens done?

Yeah more balanced and more fair. And it will need skill to use it. But question, is this gonna happen? I have not hope for this.
Why should DH require Skill to use? Out of all Perks, why this one? No Perk requires Skill to use, Perks are basically "slap them on, use them".

There's a lot of factors to consider. Pallet usage should be taken into account as well imo.
There are too many factors overall. You would need to assign specific Ratings to basically each Tile in the game (if it spawned, if it has a Pallet, what direction it is facing (e.g. if it is linked to other tiles)), to every Perk and every Add-On.
It would be impossible.
-
@FilthyLegionMain said:
All I want them to take into account to make this slightly better is count the amount of time spent in chase and if the objective was being done during said chase.
Would not work.
First of all, if the Objective is being done is outside of the control of the Survivor being chased. Second, someone who uses every Pallet on the Map might have a long chase, but wasted all the ressources. Are other Survivors worse, when they dont have any ressources left?
And well, someone who gets chased for 2 minutes and uses 2 Pallets is better than someone who gets chased for 2 minutes and uses 8 Pallets, but the time spent in chases cannot reflect this. (And it would also depend on which Pallets are being used. Two Pallets on Shelter Woods are more valuable than 8 crappy Pallets on Midwich)

You misspelled balanced games. If you think killers have the power in the game currently I don't need any further arguments from you. I don't even play killer and know that survivors run the game for the majority in high MMR currently.
Maybe you should play Killer yourself instead of just believing that it is SO HARD to play as Killer... And why do you mention high MMR? MMR is not skillbased, I thought this is common sense in this community.

Someone has never played any multiplayer game ever. You would be ignorant to think people would never play it. Ban SWF in ranked, add Auric cell/ BP rewards, cosmetic rewards, reap the benefits. It's almost like a majority of other multiplayer games have adopted this idea and it's worked out well.
So ranked is the place for easy games for Killers including Rewards? Nice.
-
@Jukenobi said:
Behavior has repeatedly failed or made this games matchmaking worse with every change they make. Make a ranked and unranked game mode, remove SBMM and you will get your player base back. The new SBMM is absolutely and undeniably awful.
Ranked and unranked are a terrible idea. Nobody would play ranked.
-
They are fine IMO. In the end, BHVR does not need to give away free stuff. Iridescent Shards allow players to get things via playtime. And since BHVR is a company and companies like to make money, it is pretty clear that they dont want to give away too much free stuff.
However, two things I would like to see:
Some Reward for Devotion, MAYBE Iridescent Shards. Because when you get to a new Level of Devotion, the Shard-gain is very, very low at the start. Some Shards for reaching a new Level would compensate for that.
And, some Extra Tiers in the Rift. E.g. if someone completed the Rift, there will be Bonus-Tiers afterwards, which can only be acquired by playtime and offer Shards and BPs. For those who play a lot, but dont have anything left from the Rift and have to wait for the next one.

No, the fact that they can't out kill a Bubba is why they'd be a bad Nurse.
A Bubba will get at least 1 Kill guaranteed. Possibly a 2K with NOED. If a Killer gets 8 Hooks but 0 Kills, they are worse than a Bubba who just facecamped?

"But I know the community will not understand it that the Devs dont want to remove Perk Tiers and will keep asking for it."
That's probably because the community is correct to be upset at a lack of a solution to the grind issue.
It depends what the Devs are planning.
E.g. if they would make the option to get 3 Perks in a Level 50 Bloodweb (out of 6), this would also reduce the grind by 33%. Not 66% like removing Perk Tiers, but if they increase the BPs you gain in games, this might also help a lot.
(Plus, more BPs is always a good feeling when playing)

Interesting. I'm also not really happy with this change, but it's a step in the right direction.
What would you have done?
I would have capped the Healing Speeds to 8/16 seconds. This would still be a strong Perk, but super-fast Healing Speeds with Medkits and other Perks would not be possible anymore.
Also removed the ability for Boons to work on multiple Floors, since they are the strongest on Indoor Maps.

I know you aren't implying that CoH wasn't an issue.
I would have nerfed it differently.
-
As they said, it would be a band-aid fix. Something which the Community criticises the Devs for.
And, for me personally, removing Perk Tiers would remove a lot of excitement for new players. When I was new, getting Perks was the most exciting thing when leveling up my Characters. And if you remove Perk Tiers, you would run out of new Perks before you even have 4 Perk Slots unlocked.
So they should rather look at other solutions.
But I know the community will not understand it that the Devs dont want to remove Perk Tiers and will keep asking for it.
-
They answered it:

EDIT: Since Timestamps dont seem to work, it was at 15:50 in the VOD.
-
None, really.
For me, Pinhead is way too talkative now, just the Voicelines when teleporting would be fine, but now it is too much. If they add an option to disable it on both sides, they can implement as many voicelines as they want. But as long as this is not a thing, I would rather not see any more voicelines.
-
You can only discuss something like that IF there are actual plans AND we know what should happen exactly. They can also just introduce a 5 second Endurance at base and change the Perk to something entirely different, which would be a Buff for camping overall. Just as an example.
Sadly he phrased it that way, now Killers will flood the Forums that the game will be dead soon™ and that Killer will become unplayable because of "BT Basekit"...
