  • The fun thing is, the Emblem System is more skill-based than the Skill-Based Matchmaking.

Going for Hooks instead of Kills is more skillful (more Chases won). Also, you gain Lightbringer-Emblem while being chased when others do Gens... So you gain one Emblem while doing the skillful Part of playing Survivor.

That the Emblem System is better than SBMM should be clear to everyone who is not a Dev of BHVR I guess.

(But hey - at least I can play with Survivors who have 100 and 47 hours... Or with a Meg who had 0,2 hours... )

  • Alchemist Ring is the obvious Add-On which needs to be changed. I dont really know how the Devs can keep it like that for so long. Every Blight-Player should know how busted it is (and a proof of that was, when they announced Changes to his Add Ons and so many Blights were using Alchemist Ring).

After playing against it several times, Adrenaline Vial also can get a Nerf. The Add On does too much and the downside is not really impactful anymore. The difference to Alchemist Ring is not really there anymore, it is almost the same IMO.

Compound 33 can also get a slight Nerf as well, shredding through Pallets like this should not be possible. The Nerf should be not as big tho, because it is an Iridescent Add On, after all.

Also, I would remove the Speed Add Ons completely. In general, Blight should not be able to gain more Speed by any ways, so I would change the Speed Add Ons completely. But at the very least, they should not stack with each other or Adrenaline Vial.

You can basically do all of this and Blight will remain almost as strong as he is now, he will still be S-Tier. But I already know that some people would say that he would be gutted, that DBD is dying, blablablabla.

And I think the reality is that next Midchapter, there will be the next Blight-Buff...

  • "Boon: Circle of Healing: I think the mechanic should be completely reworked, but to nerf it; 25% healing speed buff, self heals take 32 seconds, all boons get a 60 second cooldown, CoH get's a 90 second cooldown."

Why would anyone use CoH then? I mean, I dont mind, I dont run it and I am already annoyed when my teammates have it (you know, setting up a Boon instead of doing the last Gen is totally important to them...).

But only 25% Healing Speed Buff makes it worse than Botany Knowledge, for Self Heal, you can just use Self Care... And combine them to have a faster Self-Heal.

Nerfing CoH is fine, but this is too much IMO.

"Borrowed Time: Endurance time reduced to 3/4/5 seconds, doesn't activate if the killer isn't within 16 meters of hook. (this is so that you can't abuse the endurance, it's purely to stop tunnelers from immediately hitting off hook.)"

So, a Nurse can just ignore BT? Also, the Killer just has to wait for 5 seconds until they hit the Survivor, if the Survivor is not near some Pallets while being unhooked, they go down pretty quick.

"Built to Last: Every time you hop in a locker, you can get 33% of your charges back. You can do this another 2 times for a total of 100%. This makes taking the most crazy broken toolboxes with nutty add ons in a swf less abusable."

Built to Last for Toolboxes is pretty bad anyway. But at least you throw in "SWF" to make your claim to be more reasonable... Built to Last is not really strong and as I said, pretty dumb to use it with Toolboxes, since the time spent in a Locker will make the time saved by the Toolbox a bit obsolete.

"Dead Hard: Keep it the same, but remove the Invincibility Frames. This rewards the player for accurately dodging a hit, but you can't do crazy ######### that would let you "cheese" your way out of a mistake. I think this would make Dead Hard work in a completely different way. To dodge a hatchet, dead hard to the side. To dodge a hit, press it a bit earlier. Getting more of a loop and getting to a safe place can also still be used."

The main complaints come from DH for distance. Since DH is working properly, people think it was buffed (Bugfixes are still neither Buffs nor Nerfs). Your idea would make DH a Perk which is solely used for Distance (which was the case already before they made it work with Dedicated Servers), I am pretty sure that not many Killers would be happy with that.

"Decisive Strike: reduce time to 15 seconds, but the timer pauses whenever in chase. DS should be an anti- tunnel perk, Not "a whole bloody minute of invincibility". You can do gens with this active again, it doesn't really matter with the reduced 15 seconds."

So, I down the Survivor and only have to wait 15 seconds instead of 60 seconds to pick them up? And 15 seconds of not looking at the Survivor during a Chase to make the chase end (like Legion Moonwalking) is also pretty much possible.

DS does not need further Nerfs, in fact, it needs Buffs to make it a better tool to counter tunneling, however, we all know that BHVR is against it, since they introduced a Perk with the Ringu-Chapter which should have been part of DS.

"Prove Thyself: I think there should absolutely not be a perk that speeds up gen times in the game. If I were to nerf it, maybe some sort of requirement before it activates, like deliverance. "Must work on a gen with others for a total of 40/30/20 seconds before this activates" could be an idea."

Prove Thyself is fine. The Perk is mainly used for the Bloodpoints. And honestly, 2 Survivors with Prove Thyself on one Gen is still better for the Killer than 2 Survivors without Prove Thyself on two Gens. I prefer Survivors running Prove Thyself and grouping up because of it over Survivors splitting up all the time.

  • And once again someone does not understand the difference between "OP" and "unhealthy for the game". Nice.

I just pick 3 examples which are not OP, but unhealthy:

"Myers is OP because he stalked your team mates and then with t3 moris you."

Myers is one of the weaker Killers. Nobody would really call him OP, but you have to admit that it is simply BS that you cannot see him for the whole game and be dead immediatly, because someone else gave him enough stalk.

"Bubba is preventing me to use my E and he face camps. But not only that, he even runs NOED!!!!!1!"

Camping Bubbas are just boring. And there is nothing fun in being camped for the person on the Hook, there is nothing fun for the other Survivors since they can only do Gens. And depending on how early the Bubba gets the Down, this strategy is at least a 2K, even if all Survivors are doing Gens, because they cannot save the first guy and it is impossible to do all 5 Gens AND cleanse 5 Totems.

    Not OP, but unhealthy.

"Pig is camping box, how rude, I cannot escape because of RNG"

And you think this is OP? It clearly is not. But it is again, bad gamedesign. I dont really understand why players think that Headpops are cool anyway, if a Survivor dies because of RNG, this is nothing which the Killer did. But camping one Box and dying because you simply cannot get your Key is, again, unhealthy and bad game design.

This forum is really full of Killers. You see this in every discussion, once you say something against certain Killers, you only want easy games as Survivor or only want to bully Killers.

But you clearly do not understand why those complaints come up and they dont come up because the majority thinks that those things are OP (some will think that, but they will be a minority).

I think he meant make it basekit for some amount of time, and running the perk would add 2 additional seconds to that

Thank you, after reading that again I understand what he meant. You are right.

    @Topic:

In general, changing the Meta would be nice. I would love to not have to run Perks like BT or DS, however, removing ALL Meta-Perks by adding them somewhat into the Basegame will not really work IMO. For this, the game is far too old and reworking the current state to such an extend would take a long time and I am pretty sure that BHVR does not want to spend this time

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2818116#Comment_2818116

    Why?

Because something like that should be a base-game mechanic.

As for how? Make it 2 seconds, added on to a base value.

So you want BT to be a base mechanic which gives 2 seconds Endurance? This would just buff camping.

RNG is part of her power, but you know what Pig has to do in most of her games

She has to actually catch survivors and win chases. Something that takes actual skill to do and both sides have a chance to do something about

The tape addon removes this. It's like if one survivor just randomly spawned in the basement hook against bubba. Obviously that's hyperbole but still.

Exactly. Plus, the RNG-aspect is also dependent on the Skill of the Pig-player. If a Pig-player is really bad, even the videotape will do nothing, because the RNG gets negated by the fact that every Survivor will easily be able to do all 4 Boxes (and 4 Boxes mean that the Trap is off 100%), while still being able to do enough to escape the Trial.

So to have access to the RNG in normal gameplay, the Pig has to do something.

However, blocking one Box boils it down to RNG-only. You can be the best Pig-player in the world or a 2 year old kid and you will have the same results when playing a game as AFK-Pig.

  • @Pulsar said:

It shouldn't be a thing. It's a shame too because it's ruining some actually well-designed Pig add-ons for the majority of players because some dumbasses want to exploit them.

Can't believe I agree with Sluzzy.

Sad thing is, this is what most likely will happen. The more players are playing as AFK-Pig, the more urgent BHVR wants to bring a solution and the fastest solution is to nerf the Add Ons in some way.

And equally sad - most likely Survivor-players will be blamed for the Nerf then, while it is quite clear who ruins it for every Pig-player.

  • I guess this Cosmetic will come in the Store at some point, however, I would guess it will be for Shards only.

The Left 4 Dead-Content around Bill was always free so far, Bill as a character is free, his Sweater was free and this Cosmetic was also in the free Rift, Valve does not seem to like the idea of BHVR making money with anything related to Bill.

So I dont think this Cosmetic will ever be released for Auric Cells and then it is up to Valve if they would be fine with it being released for Shards.

  • "They get a bunch of points for escaping and can still pip if they didn’t escape."

If you mean "points" as "Bloodpoints" - yeah, this is a lot you get as Survivor when you escape. However, this is the only real income for Survival Bloodpoints, if you dont escape, you get a lot less in that category (but the Devs have at least improved it a bit).

"but why are killers punished so heavily if they do everything in their power to get a kill"

Survivors are also punished if they do everything in their power to escape aka doing Gens as fast as possible. Survivors who do only Gens will not pip and maybe even depip.

This is also a reason why Altruism is rated high on the Emblem-System (aka it is easy to get Iridescent in Altruism) - if it would be hard, less people would do that, letting others die on Hook.

Perhaps. I don't think an official explanation was given, back in the day.

Anyway, I still want them back, same as a thousand other things.

I am honestly happy that they are gone. Some of my most played Killers have brown and yellow Add-Ons which I run basically exclusively and it would be a pain in the ass to get those with 17 more brown/yellow Items in the Bloodweb.

And in general, I use Map Offerings once in a blue moon, so for both sides, more of them would be just things I would collect in my inventory.

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2814422#Comment_2814422

That would be Cattle Tag 28, the brown offering for Coldwind Farm.

Brown and Yellow map offerings were a thing until Freddy's release, when they were removed from the Bloodweb for some reason.

Probably to clean up a bit. IMO they were pretty useless, because you can burn them and still have quite high chances to not get the Map. Also, with so many Realms in the game, brown and yellow Map Offerings for each of those would just make it very hard to get specific brown and yellow Items from the Bloodweb.

  • You gain more pressure if you actually chase the Survivor instead of giving them distance by kicking a Gen. The only exception here is probably PGTW. But other than that, it is always better to chase the Survivor instead of wasting the time to kick the Gen.

  • The Devs usually only have a few days after PTB-Launch to work on things. So most of the time PTB-Feedback means that they can start earlier to work on it, which might mean that they can make changes before it goes live or in one of the Hotfixes.

But PTBs are mostly for Hype. And IMO it is impossible to get a real grasp if a Killer is too weak or too strong and to what extend when playing them on the PTB.

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

They literally added validation for it. Effectively making it the best perk in the game. That's a direct buff.

Making things actually functional is not buffing.

So, when they fixed the Nurse-Bugs, they buffed her?

And they nerfed her by introducing new Bugs?

  • Showing actual gore in the game might cause problems in some countries. While DBD can be sold in a country if Nemesis does not actually crush the head of a Survivor, really crushing the head might be an issue and can lead to DBD not being able to be distributed in some countries.

I thought it was supposed to be tomorrow honestly. Was surprised when I went on twitch last night and Otz had his title as PTB tomorrow, and now today a lot of streamers are saying today too. As far as I was aware, chapter reveal trailer was today, and the PTB was tomorrow.

Probably because PTBs usually are released on Tuesdays. However, until a few months ago, Bugfix-Patches were also released on Tuesday, but the latest Bugfixes were released on Wednesday. So I would not assume that PTB will 100% be live today.

  • Imagine making your game look like ######### for a casual partygame like DBD.

Those "competitive" players seem to be really proud to be good at DBD instead of games which actually can be played competitive.

  • There was no announcement yet. Without any announcement, nothing is delayed.

(They said Chapter Reveal, but this does not mean that it has to be a PTB)

  • @CashelP14 said:

I expect a perk that the community will cry about, which actually isn't that strong. If that's a boon totem, we'll wait and see.

Thats my favorite part about each Chapter. But after a few hours my head starts to hurt from all those facepalming when multiple people complain about Perks which will not be used at all. And every time it was quite obvious that the Perks were not as good as people claimed they would be.

(My favorite was Fast Track, a Perk which requires your team to die to have the value of one Brand New Part...)

    @Topic:

I dont think we will get any good Survivor-Perk. Aside from Circle of Healing, new released Survivor-Perks were always mediocre at best. I do expect one decent Killer-Perk tho and one situational one.

  • It is better to be awake, because then you are not affected by Snares/Dream Pallets and his Teleport-Cooldown is longer the more people are awake (it decreases for every Survivor asleep).

However, most of the time it is not really worth to walk full Map to the Clock. Skillchecks are also quite a sad excuse of waking up. And you are asleep anyway once he hits you, unless he hits you while you have the 30 seconds immunity due to the Clocks...

So, if you can be away pretty fast (either because you pass your clock anyway or because a teammate can wake you up and it only takes the lowest amount of seconds), wake up. Otherwise, I dont think it is worth the time investment.

  • Yes, the really old maps had a way better feeling. They looked better and had more atmosphäre.

However, I dont think that Moon Offerings should make a comeback. Moon Offerings meant that Developers had to keep different lightnings in mind all the time. E.g. they were not able to make a really dark map, because an Offering for darkest moonlight might make it too dark. Same the other way around.

However, the current maps are more bright than Maps back in the day with brightest Moonlight:

Moonlight was a recurring ambient feature in every trial of Dead by Daylight and still is almost the sole source of light, with other sources of light including lamps, fire pits and fully repaired Generators . The brightness of the Moonlight could be tweaked via the Moon Bouquet Offerings , which were disabled from spawning in the Bloodweb with Patch 1.8.2 and retired as of Patch 2.3.0. Moonlight Offerings were not stack-able with only very specific combinations stack. Those included: Offerings

Looking at the picture with the Full Moon Bouquet, this is way darker than current Maps. And this was brightest moonlight back then...

A few years ago I was already joking that it feels more like "Dead in Daylight" and not like "Dead by Daylight", because the Maps are so bright. Then they released Dead Dawg Saloon, which is really bright. Coldwind, which is in Daylight... And the newest Map is also super-bright.

I would really enjoy having more dark Maps, however, the Devs are against it for some reason.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Victor should be able to vault windows, in Haddonfield there are spots where Survivors are invincible against him.

Even if I really hate Twins, I thought about that a long time ago as well. Haddonfield can basically kill Victor since the balconies are very safe against him.

So window-vaulting should be considered. (But I dont think it is really something urgent, so if the Devs dont change anything, Victor will still be alright9

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Why would you want to change BBQ & Chilli? It's fine as it is, it promotes going after other Survivors instead of camping the one on the hook. It's not even the strongest aura reading Perk, it's just used a lot because it gives tons of bonus bloodpoints, thus making the grind less awful.

The disconnect Token is a good change tho.

While it promotes going after different Survivors, it does a bad job by doing so. Because a Killer can still tunnel one Survivor out of the game and is still able to get a massive amount of BPs due to BBQ.

    @Topic:

Number 1 and Number 3 sound good IMO. However, Number 1 needs to be carefully implemented, because Survivors should not be able to suicide on Hook to deny BBQ-Stacks.

  • I still have some Bloodwebs to do (30 or something like that) to get all Perks on Artist. So I have a good use for those BPs.

But I agree, the Cap should be increased. Because if you dont have anything to spend, you can either keep playing without receiving BPs (which is not really good IMO) or you have to spend them, despite not wanting to spend them. Especially with 2 Million as a reward, spending over 1 Million BPs to be able to get BPs again is unreasonable.

The Devs said in their latest Q&A that they are looking into it, because they also think that it is strange that they added rewards which allow you to go over the Cap, because at this point, why should the Cap exist?

  • I thought I heard that one before:

I play this game every day. And I noticed that I'm getting Cold Wind Farm more frequently on the blood web. Seriously I have like 15 cold wind farm maps and I used all the offerings because I thought that If I keep using that offering every time It will stop appearing, but it turns out that It KEEPS showing off over, and over, and over, and over. And I'm getting bored.

Not kidding guys, I love this game but every day I play it, it's all about Cold Wind Farm, Jigsaw Meat Plant, Larry's Memorial, Autoheaven, and High school. I know Cold Wind Farm has like 5 stages and THAT'S WHY it has more chances to appear on the blood web, but what about Larry's Memorial? High school? JIGSAW MEAT PLANT, they only have 1 stage and they have more chances to appear than RPD, Dusty Noose, etc...

RPD, Mac Millan State, Red Forest, Dusty Noose, Ormond, AREEE RAAAAAAAAAAARE MAAAPS, can you believe that the last time I played RPD, Dusty Noose and Ormond was 4-5 days ago? REALLY? And I haven't mentioned other maps cuz I don't remember their names pretty well.

Guys, have you ever heard about Overwatch (The video game), yeah, ONE OF the reasons why that game is almost dead it's because It gets too repetitive, you know same maps, over and over. And If OW is almost dead, Imagine this game... LOOKS LIKE DEVS FAVORITE MAP IS COLD WIND FARM lmao

JUST MAKE THE APPEARANCE CHANCE MORE EQUITATIVE, NOT ALL PLAYERS HAVE THE SAME TASTE TO PLAY SAME MAPS OVER AND OVER.  😥

And no, all Map Offerings appear at the same rate as far as I know. However, there are A LOT of green Items in the Bloodwebs, which all share the same Spot. But overall, they should appear pretty equally, at least I have not seen any strange odds so far.

  • Are you sure it is not just the animation? Some Killers look pretty fast, despite them being at the same Speed like others.

E.g. I always feel that Clown walks faster than other Killers, just because of his animations.

I rarely encounter Hackers, the last time I encountered a Hacker is already a few months ago. But most of the time it was quite obvious that they were hacking, even when it was subtle (e.g. walking fast to the Hook like they had Agitation, but not having it in the Postgame-Screen).

  • @Bwsted said:

"Press the Power Button to make the survivor hold W or get a guaranteed hit".

Yep, this is my fear as well. Just another Anti-Loop Killer.

And Killers will complain about Survivors holding W, because there is nothing else to do against a Killer which cannot be looped.

    @Topic:

I think she will have a Teleport, but I dont know if it will be with fixed Wells. Because a Teleport with fixed Locations might not be that good (Freddy has it as well, but at least he is at a Gen after teleporting, aka most likely close to a Survivor).

Maybe another timed power, representing the Videotapes in the movie. So maybe a hybrid between Demo/Freddy and Pig.

I just hope that she does not have an Anti-Loop Power, because there were too many of those Killers lately and removing the skillful part of playing Survivor (which is Looping and chaining structures) is not really good. I dont want to play another Killer where I just get Survivors because we both hold W and I am faster than them (which makes Artist unfun for me to play - I place a crow at a Loop, the Survivor leaves the Loop and this will be repeated until I get the Down..).

I HOPE for a Mobility-Killer since those are more fun to play against and to play as (at least for me). But I dont think it will be very fitting.

  • I like the idea. But I would change it to actions in general, which would include Totems, Chests and Healing. This way you would avoid Survivors being revealed who are actually doing something.

(If I go for an Unhook and the person who got unhooked does not want to heal next to a Hook, it is totally possible that my Aura might get revealed, because 30 seconds passed)

So...you haven't enjoyed a Huntress match since before Dedicated Servers were a thing?

    I...am sorry for you.

Not enjoyed at all would be too much. But those Hits are not rare at all and it makes going against her sometimes really unenjoyable.

  • You seem to be Russian. I bet the Killer was Russian as well (a lot of Huntress-players seem to be Russian on EU-Servers). So you both probably connect with somewhat high Ping to the Server, so the Ping Difference between you two is probably big.

    And this is the result.

I also really dont like to go against Huntress anymore since Dedicated Server are live.

  • Oh, someone is afk as Bubba in the Basement. How unique.

  • @SuzuKR said:

Yikes. You mean the Design Failure which will never be changed because BHVR is too scared for it?

    @Topic:

Usually there are only two Hotfixes after a Patch. The second went live two days ago. So if BHVR cannot fix her without a Patch, she would be disabled for around 4 weeks until the Chapter drops, if i am not mistaken.

  • @BenZ0 said:

If the addon would do what you describe then this addon would be actually good, I always said it like this.

However sadly this isnt how it is or how you think it is.

The survivors actually ABSORB the blood orbs, which means they take away your power in order for you to see the aura which is kinda dumb. Sure you still have some orbs around the map but a big portion of it is getting sucked up from survivors, if they are smart they can run around on purpose and suck them up like a vacuum cleaner.

This makes the addon so unbelievebly useless.

Basically this, but I would not say that this makes the Add On useless. It can be used with a very specific Build, but outside of this build, I would not use this Add On at all.

As Survivor, I take the Killer seeing my aura for denying them their power all the way.

  • Honestly, you can have this Perk without Cooldown and it would still not be good. Because good Pallets are not left, the Killer will break those.

  • "Did the old ranking matchmaking work fine and was good? No"

IMO the old ranking matchmaking stopped working once they pretty much removed Rank Reset. When they added that you get only set back 1 Color, it started that:

    • Killers who dont really belong to Red Ranks are almost all the time in Red Ranks and face Survivors who belong there
    • Survivors who dont really belong to Red Ranks are almost all the time in Red Ranks and face Killers who belong there

Before, this would only happen near the end of a "season", but with the changes they have done, it happened basically immediatly.

And their reasoning behind this was pretty nonsense (in general AND because of something they did later) - the reasoning was that someone who does not have that much time to play will not be able to reach Rank 1. And IMO it is completely reasonable that players who play more, get more.

However, once they changed this, the overall quality of Survivors and Killers in Red Ranks really dropped. And at this point, they seem to have decided to implement an MMR-System in a casual game with lots of factors. And since you cannot take all those factors into account, they just boiled it down to escapes and Kills. Because, you know, if I play Blight and get 9 Hooks and a 1K I am worse than another Killer who gets 2K with way less Hooks than me.

You only really felt MMR the first month after implementation and afterwards, it is pretty much random. You can get really good Survivors one game and then stomp 4 Babies they next game. Or, you play against one of the best Killer players in the game one day and the next day, you face Killers who dont even know how to run common tiles.

And, the funny thing, and why I said that their decision to reduce Rank Reset was nonsense - now, you get set back to Ash IV, the lowest Rank possible, meaning that players who cannot play much, will not get as much as players who play a lot. Which was the sole reason why they changed Rank Reset back then AND which lead to these awful players in Red Ranks and this mess of MMR.

IMO if they would have tweaked the Emblem-System a bit and made Rank Reset harder again, it would have been way better.

Your posts show me that you are missing my point entirely. It's not about Ruin/Corrupt. It's about the fact that NO MATTER WHAT I DO the outcome (losing gen early) is still the same. To me, this is a problem. You clearly enjoy losing gens early regardless of how well you perform, so we can just agree to disagree.

Why is it so important to keep those Gens? You are supposed to kill the Survivors, not to end the Game with 5 Gens.

You wrote you got a 4K. How many Gens were left?

So the because the "odds are low"...That's somehow justification to have it remain a terrible map and not try to push for change for it...?

You know what happens when you have your kind of attitude...? You end up with a bunch of terrible maps. Because "the odds of that one terrible map !" Turn in to 5-6-7 terrible maps that you end up on frequently

If a Map is terrible or not is highly subjective. There are people who enjoy playing on RPD. For me, Swamp-Maps are the worst Maps in the game, others would disagree and call other Maps terrible.

We can all start complaining about our worst Maps. You know what happens then? You dont have any Maps in the game.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2803583#Comment_2803583

Ah yes. So instead of trying to discuss how terrible something is. Let's just not discuss the things that are blatantly terrible. And have DBD remain unchanged

Yeah, because it is totally relevant that everyone opens a Thread about RPD, because every Thread is so unique and it is sooo important.

RPD comes up pretty rarely (It is only one Map out of over 30 different Maps) so the odds to end up on RPD are already low. And if someone ends up on RPD, they will most likely not experience it again for quite a long time.

  • RPD just shows what is wrong with this DBD-Community.

The DBD-Community basically: "I dont like this thing so I will complain endless about it until it is changed". Until just sucking it up that you will end up on a Map that you might not like.

I dont have a problem with RPD. Not my favorite Map, not even close, but when I play on it, I just play the match and move to the next match, without opening a Forum Post...

Basic game design tells me that being able to complete 40% of your objective 1 minute in regardless of how well the other side does has nothing to do with "gamesense" lol. To put it in perspective, what if killers could consistently accomplish that much in 1 minute. 40% would mean getting 4.8 hook states in the first minute. Who would be okay with that? My guess would be no one would be. And in general my game sense is just fine because I still 4ked. But this isn't about me. This is about the speed of the early game in general.

You cannot really say that each Gen is 20%. If you go just by maths, sure, 1 Gen out of 5 is 20%. But, the longer the game goes on, the harder it becomes to complete Gens. The first Gen is by far the easiest one and the last Gen the hardest. And as long as they dont complete the last Gen, all the Gens before dont matter for the Survivors escape.

    Aight, cheers.

From anecdotal evidence from the forums apparently EU random are some of the worst imaginable lol

I mean, it could totally be anecdotal evidence, because I will not mention or even remember good teammates for the most part. But especially yesterday it was horrible.

But it could also be possible that it is different in other regions. Because queue times are also different, e.g. US-players can get Survivors queues from over 10 minutes, this never happened in EU. So differences are present.

You could at least admit, that those survivors played terrible and are not a representation of how survivors usually play. At least my teammates don´t play like this.

You are pretty lucky if you can get decent teammates on a regular basis.

My teammates would probably be in the Basement looting the chest and crouching full map away behind a tree while those two downs happened.

  • In general, I think it is a decent Perk and I like the activation requirement. It is also not a weak Perk at all.

However, if a Killer hooks everyone at least once, there should be a bigger Reward. The thing is, this Reward happens mid-match or maybe even in the Lategame. And I think this is the reason why the reward is not as high. Otherwise I would say, the time Gens are blocked should be doubled to 80 seconds, however, this might happen during a time where the Killer already has a lot of Pressure (unlike for example Corrupt Intervention).

So I think, if the Devs want to change it, it will take some time and they need to be careful with it.

It's more than likely cheated in but you used to get bloodpoint compensation if your save file was corrupted back in 2018, so maybe it's an account from that era? I've never seen the compensation go about 100 million though so likely cheated in.

I think even if you have a loss of progress right now, you will be compensated in Bloodpoints. Would be still a pain in the ass to get everything back, because you would play Bloodweb-Simulator for a few days, if you have played a lot.

But yeah, either cheated, or it was someone who got compensation at some point.

You know, i would really like to have a productive discussion with you. How those survivors made rookie mistakes by ignoring the jungle gym.

But then again, it only looks like you want to run a certain agenda here and are not interested in a discussion at all.

Do you really think we need more "us vs them" bs?

The whole Thread is already "us vs them".

And no, I dont think a productive discussion with you is possible. But luckily for you, your opinion is the majority in this forum.

2 Hooks by the time the first gen pops? Are your survivors afk or something like that?

If you have watched the video, you would have seen that the Survivors were not afk.

I mean, I get it, you still want to claim that Killer is soooo hard, but this does not work if there is a video linked in OPs post.

    I would support this change.

Also, a QoL update to Dead Man's Switch. Have it block the gen only if all Survivors get off of it. Currently, if two people are repairing and one lets go, it's blocked. That's dumb.

At the very least BHVR should look into it and decide whether it is intended or not. Had an Ace going to my Gen, basically just tapping it and letting go of it for an Unhook, and it got blocked with me on it.

I think this is more of an oversight which never got noticed since nobody used DMS before. But if it is intended, BHVR should at least clarify it.

    @Topic:

This is one of the things I just hate the most in this game. And they really should change it, auto-failed Skill Checks should not be a thing. And it does not make sense either, with Overcharge you are allowed to do the Skill Check while running away, regular Skill Checks might just pop up when you let go off a Gen and it auto-explodes. And those happen A LOT.

Just yesterday, spawned on a Map, saw a Myers, wanted to let go of a Gen to hide, it blows up. Yeah, nice. So much I can do about that...
