  • I guess the possibility is 0,0001%.

They are different licenses. You would need to get the approval of the owners of the Character Samara AND the approval of the Ringu-Owners that their Character will be transformed into another character with a different license.

    So very, very, very unlikely.

"Not learning the killer right" is completely subjective, yet it's been used time and again to say that some perk or add-on combo is "unhealthy" or "needs nerfing" on a certain killer. If an add-on makes the killer stronger, even if the player is reliant on those add-ons to do well with the killer, I say more power to them. Bad players will not get carried by this add-on combo. They probably won't even know it exists. The few bad ones who do will fumble around with Spirit as usual and not see much success. Add-ons like this, like Pinky Finger, like Engineer's Fang, like Alchemist's Ring, only boost the power of the killer when they're in the hands of a skilled player.

The thing is, MDR and Dried Cherry Blossom basically play the game for you.

But it would be a nerf which she doesn't need. She used to have a 24m terror radius as well, but they took that away.

Pig had a 28m Terror Radius.

  • It usually releases around 1 hour after the Patch dropped.

  • I mean, the reason for Fathers Glasses is pretty obvious - you cannot do anything against them as Survivor. You can run Iron Will against Spirit (even tho, Perks are no counters), you can avoid scratchmarks by walking and grass by being careful. But not blood once you are injured.

The better question would be, why did they add an Add On which makes the game play on its own (Dried Cherry Blossom) when they removed Fathers Glasses?

You´re forgetting Eyrie and any new map that was added that´s gonna have a infinite if BL was reducing stuttering while exhausted.

It´s still crap that BL got that nerf.

Eyrie is the easiest to fix with old Balanced Landing in mind - just remove the Breakable Walls next to the Upstairs Windows.

RPD would need the Library to be changed, the Windows would need to change into Doorways.

Dead Dawg Saloon has Drops next to almost all Upstair-Windows, I think there is only one balcony without a Drop next to it, this one should be changed (either make it a Doorway or add a Drop).

Last but not least Midwich, but this already has Drops next to every Upstairs-Window.

So none of those Maps would be infinites, with just a few Tweaks.

  • I have the Logitech Z200-Speakers and for what I am using them, they are alright.

I basically use them for gaming, except for DBD or Horrorgames and for watching stuff on my PC. I used them for DBD a few years ago, and even then they were pretty good, but I switched to Headset entirely when playing DBD.

    But overall, good Speakers IMO.

  • You can remove the Cooldown entirely and it would not matter at all. The Perk would not get more use, because you will not be able to pick up good Pallets anyway. The strong Pallets are kicked immediatly, because Killers have to kick them, otherwise they would not be able to catch the Survivors at the Loops where the Pallet is dropped.

Even IF a Pallet is left alone, this would probably not happen in such a frequency that you would actually benefit from the Perk not having any Cooldown.

The only Pallets which might be left unbroken are those which are unsafe, and those do not really hurt when getting set up again.

So, yeah, they can remove the Cooldown, but it would not really mean that it is a good Perk afterwards.

  • Nah, Killers dont want Perk Variety for Survivors.

"Every Survivor runs DH!!"... Guess what when one of the good Exhaustion Perks got nerfed into basically useless...

Balanced Landing should be buffed (aka reverted), IF they manage to rework the Maps (mainly Haddonfield) into something which is not problematic when someone uses Balanced Landing. E.g. if there is a Drop next to every Vault, there is no problem with Balanced Landing.

The bad Map Design was the reason why Balanced Landing got nerfed in the first place, because it was easier to destroy the Perk than actually fixing Maps. And it did not change anything, aside from removing a good Perk on the Survivor-Side, Haddonfield was still a nightmare to play as Killer.

People are saying it was normal for a game to lose players in 1 month or 2 months then on the holidays , people were saying it was normal to lose players because they are coming back to work or school.

If DBD loses players for 6 months straight is that not a concern?

I just love this posting of numbers without context.

There is a statistical outlier in those numbers - the Resident Evil-Chapter. And this statistical outlier will be corrected. If you only focus on the part where the correction takes place, DBD is losing players.

But if you look at overall numbers and not only the part where they are dropping, DBD actually has a solid number of players and more than last year around the same time.

  • This would make Nemesis the King of 3-Gens.

  • The only change Sacrificial Ward needs is to not be used when no Map Offering is played. It is so situational, there is 0 reason why it should be gone without a Map Offering played.

  • @CrashMADDS13 said:

It really shouldn't allow you to heal yourself. It should just be an area of effect giving everyone we'll make it.

Letting survivors infinite heal themselves at almost normal med kit speed fundementally breaks this game

Then there would be 0 point in running it, because you can run We Will Make It instead. Most of the time heals happen after unhooks anyway and you dont need to spend 14 seconds to set it up.

  • @Tsulan said:

So what happens to the people that have their 3 dailies ready to turn in? Will they get payed out during the patch, potentially going over the limit or will they simply lose out on the bloodpoints?

You will probably lose out. They will also give a one-time Login-Bonus of 100k BPs if you log in afterwards at some point (I dont know the exact days). I guess this is to compensate for not being able to save 3 Daily Rituals for the new Chapter.

  • First of all, if BT becomes Basekit (I am talking about the current effect, 100% becoming basekit), then current BT would have a different effect, so the number of Perks will remain the same. You have one less reason to level Bill, but thats about it when it comes to grind reduction.

Second, you dont know what they actually will do. They can also buff camping with that, reworking BT into something entirely different and giving 5 seconds of Endurance at base would be something which would buff camping. I highly doubt they will bring BT in its current state into the Basekit, they will probably think of another way to address camping, however, we dont know yet if it will actually be good. (Remember, the same Devs bring DS as an "Anti Tunnel Perk", despite being really bad at anti-tunnel... and it is the best option to have, which is sad)

Third, in general, the idea of a built-in Anti-Camping Method is good. Because it is a bad concept that as a Survivor on the Hook you have to rely on the other person having BT in order to have a chance to get away. Something where you have 0 control over.

But for the actual question - nah, it will not reduce the grind in the slightest.

'Killer sided forum' sorry but there is literally no reason to not call you on your bs, does it even affect you if someone gets BP? How ignorant you need to be to actually start making us vs them in simple BP gain thread? Is it killers problem that you gain less BP? Those BP gains won't effect your gameplay in the slightest. This is just so dumb of you to do man.

Then I demand that Survivors gain tripple BP by default. With Killers not getting it, because they have BBQ.

I mean, it does not affect you, so you should be alright, eh?

(Saying "it does not affect you" is one of the most lazy reasonings. Sure, many things dont affect me, many things will not affect you. But you can still have an opinion about it)

The developers in the last Q&A said that Dead Hard is going to be changed, but they aren't saying what aspect. They talked both about how survivors use it for distance which, btw, wasn't intended by the devs and just based on what they said, they don't like it either. Which technically would make it an exploit anyone who uses it solely for distance. (not that it matters that it's an exploit, people have exploited for years with little to no punishment so).

They said they are looking at it. Not that it is going to be changed. Important difference, and should be clear before Killer Mains open Threads "What about the DH-Change?!" for every Chapter/Midchapter...

  • Most 4Ks occur before all Gens are done. So the impact on the rate of 4Ks would be almost nonexistent. Overall Killrates would probably decrease a bit, since the bad Killers would not get their 1K in the Endgame anymore, if they would have to earn NOED.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

I agree completely. The purpose of the perk is to dodge a hit. Take away the distance and you still have the attack cooldown to move away a bit, so it wouldn't be rendered worthless. And it's not just windows and pallets when it comes to distance, it's the exit gates, getting you to another tile, etc.

DH for distance has got to go.

How do you decide what the purpose of the Perk is? The description says both.

And in fact, the Dash is mentioned first, so if only one part should be the purpose, it would be the Dash and not the i-frames.

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2836899#Comment_2836899

I mean gimmicks are supposed to be worthless most of the time. Nothing good should ever come out of the gimmick if you miscalculated the distance against someone that has a brain.

Assuming that Survivors miscalculate is pretty much wrong. The bad Survivors might do that, but they also use DH in an open field or plunge their face into a wall while using Dead Hard. But those are not problematic for any Killer.

The good Survivors however dont miscalculate and dont get outplayed by the Killer, they use DH to gain an extra Loop because they get away with it - because of DH.

  • I guess the most that can be expected are Add On-Changes and maybe slight Tweaks to their Basekit (like a shorter fatique or maybe more Movement Speed).

Overall, Legion needs a full Rework to become a strong Killer, the base is too broken to make them strong with their current Kit. You can either have a Killer who vaults Pallets and Windows or who is strong. Both is not possible.

  • @Maperson said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2835639#Comment_2835639

Don't even answer him, he always finds a way to make it us vs them, if the roles were reversed and it was DS or BT as a basekit he would fully support it, it's pointless talking to a wall like him

Nice stuff are you making up.

As I said, if someone wants to have Double BP, they should invest a Perk-Slot. Survivors have to do the same.

And it just shows how killer-sided this Forum is if the idea is "Hey, lets give the side which already gets more BPs even more BPs!". Not even considering that the grind on the Survivor-Side is even worse than on the Killers side since:

    • Survivors get less BPs overall
    • Survivors have it harder to get specific things out of the Bloodwebs since they have 3 times as many Items
    • Survivors have it harder to gain double BPs (if they dont want to throw the game)
    • and last but not least: Survivors have more Perks

The grind has to be reduced for everyone. Not just for the side who has it easier already.

  • Wiggling is not supposed to let you get free on a regular basis. Wiggling overall exists solely so that the Killer cannot bring you to any Hook they like. Otherwise you might end up in the Basement every game.

The new Wiggle is less spammy, which helps the durability of keyboards and controllers. It also grants more Bloodpoints in the Survival-Category.

  • Because it is a badly optimized PC-Game which got ported to every Console in existence instead of fixing the issues it already had.

Seriously, IMO it was just arrogance to release the game on Switch when back then it already ran pretty bad on PS4/XBox One.

Elden Ring on the other hand is better optimized (it also has Framedrops, even on PC) and was also developed for Console from Scratch.

Then buff survivor BP? If you're saying that the game is killer biased then prepare to get laughed out the door, I play far more solo queue than killer and I still haven't changed mind on which side is stronger: It's just a matter of which side plays dirtier, you should know this, you've been playing this game for 3 years at the very least.

I did not say that the game is killer-sided, I said that Killers get more BPs than Survivors.

Killers run BBQ because the grind sucks, you know it, we all know it. Forcing people to use 3 perks just to alleviate the insane grind is just a ridiculous idea, we can instead just nerf problematic add-ons if they ever become to oppressive.

And so the side, which already gets 30-50% more BPs at base AND has easier access to double BPs should get this as Base so that they can run 4 Perks instead? Yeah...

If you want to get more BPs, run BBQ. If you think you need other Perks more, run those and dont get double BPs.

Tell us you're a survivor main without telling us you're a survivor main.

I play both sides, but I think, Killers can invest a Perk Slot for getting so many BPs, which also allow them to use better Add Ons.

  • Without sound, probably a Bug. The Killer had some way to make the Survivor scream and for some reason, the animation keeps playing.

    Here is an example:

    https://youtu.be/88biunjRqAY?t=164

(Timestamp brings you to the example)

  • Sorry, to get double BP you have to ditch one of your precious Slowdown-Perks. You cant have both.

  • Yeah, because before CoH was released Killers never tunneled or anything. Yikes.

And once again someone does not understand what the Killswitch is for. CoH is working as intended, no reason to killswitch it.

  • While it is unlikely, I am still hoping for an original Spider-Killer for the Anniversary. I am simply fed up with licensed Content, 3 licensed Killers in one year is too much, especially because Sadako and Pinhead are not really exciting (at least for me).

While Anniversary Chapters have been licensed Content, a complete new approach to a Killer would be something worth for an Anniversary IMO, a Spider would bring a new Model, animations and probably tons of work going into this Killer.

But, very unlikely for the Anniversary.

I know this threat is going to get closed but many games do have their own servers for russians, why can't DBD have them?

BHVR is using Amazon Game Servers, which are not supported in Russia.

    @antgnstea said:

"Because sometimes ping is high and I can't understand them in chat"

That must be the selfish reason I've ever read on this forum. Even though they add a Russian server you could still get match with players from Russia. And time to time players have high ping. You can't prevent this.

Do you know every other language that is spoken in Europe? I play on European servers as well and I see so many players writing in their language. I don't mind not understanding any of them. I suggest you the same.

While it is true that there are many languages in Europe, especially Russians tend to start glibbering in their language once the game is about to start or over, assuming that everyone understands this pile of symbols.

But, on a more serious note - the thing is, DBD has Hit Validation implemented. This should help against high Ping. However, the system in itself is heavily flawed, because we have players from Russia playing on EU-Servers. They will have high Ping, this is not avoidable at all. And because of this, Hit Validation has to be very generous, because otherwise those players would not get any Hits at all.

In general, it was dumb from BHVR to introduce Dedicated Servers without the possibility to have Servers in basically every Region of the world. And now we are stuck with this mess and Hit Validation is not really doing anything, because you cannot just make Russian players not get any Hits anymore for a thing they cannot avoid (in this case - playing in EU-Servers because they dont have a closer Server).

    @Topic:

As described, not possible to split between EU and Russia. The only fix BHVR can do would be to display the Killers Ping in the Lobby, since this is the important information. The own Ping to the Server is nice to see, but it is meaningless, if the Killer has a high Ping. So they should display the Ping of the Killer in the Lobby so that Survivors can either decide to go into another Lobby or at the very least are prepared for questionable Hits.

What you’re thinking is that it never said it in the description, while still providing stacks. And it was like BHVR was trying to hail some huge buff to getting more stacks, when in reality they already existed. The only change WGLF has ever received is the healing speed buff to slugs.

You are right, I remember them saying that they would introduce more ways to get stacks, just by adding those things to the description which already provided stacks.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2831748#Comment_2831748

    Devs didn't remove anything.

Those things have been working like that since the beginning and still work.

I am 100% sure that at some point it did not work to get Stacks with WGLF or Flashlights.

They might have added it again, I dont run WGLF, so I dont know if it recently works or not.

  • I had Crossplay off for some time, because I was tired of Console-Survivors. The games were better when there were only Survivors from Steam AND the queue times were faster in my region. From 2-3 minutes down to 30 seconds at max.

But I turned Crossplay back on, because you get only matched with players who also have it disabled and it resulted in getting the same Killer player 3 times in a row or getting the same Survivors multiple games during one evening.

If they would change it so that you are only matched with players from your platform and it is not relevant if they have Crossplay enabled or disabled, I would probably turn it off entirely to enjoy better teammates.

  • Getting 4 Stacks with BBQ is easier than WGLF, if you dont want to throw the game. With BBQ, you just have to play, with WGLF, you have to go out of your way to get 4 Stacks.

Personally, I think that things like Flashlight- and Pallet Saves should count towards Stacks, they did in the past, but the Devs removed it when they buffed WGLF. Also, it should grant a stack for picking up a Survivor from the ground, I really dont understand why this is not a thing, because it would be such a nice synergy with the other effect of the Perk.

Wow, you did it on your second try? I am actually really impressed. Well done.

Just saying that people really need to stop crying about "Challenges" being "difficult".

Otherwise we end up with only Challenges which basically require to play games. Which even the biggest potato can solve, but will be boring as hell. "Start a Chase with 16 Survivors" is one of those. "Play 4 games"... Every Glyph-Challenge is the same "Play at least X amount of games", where X is the amount of times you found the respective Glyph.

It is fine if Challenges require a bit of effort. And this effort should not be "I open a Forum Post".

  • Did it in my second game. "Damn near impossible"... Not really.

And you dont have to do this challenge to progress in the Rift. Worst case you are missing out on a few BPs and Rift Fragments, but those should not matter.

  • Personally, I think she is fair since the point Killers cannot switch the character in the Lobby anymore. Before I thought it was BS that the Killer can negate Medkits by simply switching to a different Character which makes them useless.

However, while I think Plague is fair, I think she needs changes:

There should be an incentive to cleanse and in return her Corrupt Purge should be nerfed. It is quite clear how strong she is if Survivors decide to be Oneshots which make noise which cannot be negated by any means.

Giving her an incentive and nerfing her Corrupt Purge would mean that Survivors are more likely to cleanse, which allows them to get Healing-Points and allows the Plague to get access to her Corrupt Purge.

  • Sadly this is not a bannable offense. It needs changing tho.

Anniversary should not be original. It should bring big name. But we had so much licenses last year and this year. So i would not mind new original chapter. But they can go for free license and they can use this for original chapter. We have good name for this: Dracula.

Old Horror Icon, big name and free license. So they don't need to pay and they can make their Dracula version, so they can use their creative skills.

I would gladly buy Dracula chapter. Dracula as killer, Warrior from Medieval Age as survivor and Dracula's Casttle as new map.

Yeah, I also think that the Anniversary Chapter should be licensed. But I am honestly tired of licensed Chapters, especially if they are so lackluster like Pinhead or Sadako. And not even have a own Map.

Thats why I would hope for something completely new as an original Killer, because this would also justify an original Killer if they would went out of their way and create a Spider (which was just an example), because it would be something completely different with other animations, a different model and other things.

  • @Cybil said:

    @Topic:

Yeah, I hope the same. For me, it would be alright if they would announce it in the Anniversary Stream, like they did with Silent Hill. Even at risk that this community shows how ######### it is and spamming "Skip" and "Dont care" in Chat during the whole stream.

In general, I hope for an Original Killer, something really unique. Maybe really a Spider, a complete new model would be something unique for the anniversary.

But it will probably be another license... This year we had 3 out of 4 chapters with licensed Killers and while I really like Nemesis, Pinhead and Sadako are not really interesting and in general I think licensed Chapters are more boring than original Chapters.

I don't know if it changed but when there were boon challenges in Halloween tome Resilience and Spine Chill didn't speed up blessing when I ran them. Thana at the time didn't slow down blessing when it would slow down cleansing.

All of those should affect Blessing as well in my opinion.

It's to reward killers for going for chases instead of camping, especially when lots of tiles are notorious for creating very safe loops once the pallet is dropped.

lol. It rewards Killers for going for chases, thats a first. The Killers who go for chases are usually those who dont need Bloodlust that much aka those who are actually good at the game.

    @Topic:

The original idea was to help with the terrible Map Design which existed back in the early days of DBD. Talking about real inifinites here, where the Killer was not able to catch a Survivor at any point. However, it became a hand-holding mechanic for bad Killers and is also used at Tiles and Loops where it is not needed at all.

  • Can only speak for myself, but she is really boring to play for me. You shut down Loops with your Crows, which results in the Survivor holding W. This is fine, because what else should they do?

And I catch up because I am faster than them, not because I outplayed them. Really boring.

I guess, once I have the Achievement (downing Survivors with Crows), I will play her even less.

  • 2K/2E does not mean that every game is expected to end in a 2K/2E. The average overall should be around that.

So a Killer can get 4Ks and pip or double-pip, but there will also be games where a Killer gets a 0K.

  • I dont know, my queue times yesterday evening were a bit faster, but they are far away from 10 minutes anyway. But I am living in Europe, queue times in the US are way higher.

1 … 137 138 139 140 141 … 341
