Off topic do you have an issue with me sending you a friend request on dbd
nah go ahead lol

idk, i think the concept itself is just bad. it's either gonna be useless or overpowered, i really don't think there can be an in-between

If you actually compared their powers (wesker and cannibal), you would see cannibals is far superior. Wesker will have nothing now except a demo lunge that can't hit anything from far away. Wesker needed buffs, but they changed nothing from their crap PTB.
He is going to severely underperform in high rank games just like Sadako. If you don't think im wrong thats fine, but it wont change anything. He is basically a nurse with no anti-loop, they couldn't have done him any worse.
wesker on the same level as sadako lmfao. sure dude
-
i want a slinger blight skin, he really doesn't get many good skins and i want an orange goop gun
-
the only issue i have with coh and boons in general is that they can be placed in areas that require the killer to waste significantly more time to snuff it than normally. this is especially an issue on maps like ironworks of misery, you can have a boon covering basically all of the main building if a totem spawns in the upper area of it.
-
i'm not sure if the reassurance nerf was necessary but besides that they're all pretty great. happy that they took the feedback on rpd's pallets and wesker's power in particular. definitely looking forward to reduced bloodweb node costs as well, gonna make the road to p100 a bit easier lol.

the gore being graphic doesn't automatically make it horror. please tell me something else about it, i am the exact opposite of someone who loves gore guns and explosions.
it's very dark and a lot of the imagery and story can strike a similar nerve that horror does without necessarily falling under the horror genre.
as anchortea said, it's about presentation. scenes of people being eaten alive by titans aren't depicted as some epic action type thing.

agreed, you should be able to get the shotgun from the safety deposit room too

For the most part, yes, I agree. Old Insta-saw was busted as hell, though.
I kind of think the devs might just legit hate Billy. Most of the skins he get's are garbage (imo), overheat is a pointless mechanic, and all his add-ons are pretty #########.
The worst crime was taking Sky Billy away.
it's definitely weird how inconsistent killer changes are. they've buffed killers that are widely considered overpowered and nerfed killers widely considered weak.

Yeah, I understand they need to make money, but the cost of cosmetics is too much. I would pay $5 for outfits without complaint, but almost always any paid cosmetic is going cost you $15 in the end, not just the legendaries. Relative to the cost of the game itself, this seems absurd, since even the DLC chapters are less.
Also, auric cells are set up so you have buy more than you need, and have enough left over to encourage you to buy more so they don't got to waste, propagating a cycle, which is also pretty slimy.
that's microtransactions for you. it's a horrible, predatory system embraced with open arms by the gaming industry because it is run by scum.
-
i don't know what's even happening with maps anymore. eyrie of crows, garden of joy, new haddonfield house window loops, the game, badham 1-5 and rpd (old and reworked) are some of the worst designed maps in the game and it feels like they're just not taking feedback. they added more god pallets to rpd for christ's sake, it just feels like a big "######### you" to everyone who has brought up how awful maps have gotten.
-
yeah i'm sorry but $15 cosmetics in a $20 game is absurd. legendary skins have the visual effect of owning another character but cost 3x as much and don't come with perks. didn't even come with their own voice actors or portraits until long after they were introduced.
-
linked cosmetics are good in concept because some skins just don't work in individual pieces, but a lot are linked for seemingly no reason other than money. afaik we still have no solid statement from bhvr as to whether licenseholders are the ones determining whether certain outfits are linked or not. none of cheryl's non-legendary sets clip in individual pieces, same deal with jill's full priced set with a default piece (which is an outright scam as far as i'm concerned) and leon's re4 outfit. even then there are original sets that don't clip as well.
-
not to side with the guy in the screenshot or anything like that but replying to these sorts of people just gives them the attention they want, not to mention posting on the forums about it
honestly if it bothers you that much turn off endgame chat or just learn to take it. i like responding to salt by just saying "gl next match" or something similar lol.
-
i main slinger, honestly i think he just needs a 28/24 meter lullaby/tr and an add-on pass
-
- TVs just display static when there are no survivors nearby.
- IIRC it doesn't matter how they are turned off.
- Sadako's lullaby is 24 meters and ring-shaped.
-
i'm sorry this just looks like bootleg robbie the rabbit
-
i love silent hill and cheryl is my favorite protagonist
-
i have a tendency to be an ######### about bhvr which i chalk up to being an idiot hormonal teenager but there's definitely a lot to appreciate about the game and the people working on it.
the art direction has pretty much always been great, character designs and cosmetics are by far one of the biggest appeals of the game. designing characters that can stand with some of the biggest icons in horror isn't easy by any means and i feel they've nailed it.
the music is incredible, i listen to some of the songs in the game just on my own time. unstable and pyramid head's chase theme stand out in particular.
regardless of strength i can say most killer powers are fun or satisfying to use. wesker being able to literally throw survivors is a mechanic i always wanted a killer to have and i'm very happy to see in the game.

No. It's too inaccessible, unfun, to use. Very boring. The survivor looks like they can't run.
This is a good example of a downgrade.

I'd love it if one of the deathslinger's ultra rares removed the chain entirely and just let us shot the spear across the map but at a cost of a four second reload. It would introduce a brand new gameplay style for him
oh my god i'd love that. crossmap slinger snipes sound so fun

Legendary? It should be Very Rare at most.
with sadako's rotten remains and trickster's greek legends outfits i wouldn't be surprised if they made it a legendary/ultra rare anyways lol

I prefer fall. Cool enough to be comfortable, warm enough to not need a jacket
true, plus you get more rain too which is my favorite weather personally. here the fall tends to be quite cold though

I do believe that the plural is Nemesi. Smh RE noob
iirc plurals only end in "i" when the original word ends in "us". so cactus is cacti, octopus is octopi, etc. words ending in "is" end in "es" in their plural form i believe, so nemesis becomes nemeses.

i think certain maps are assigned higher and lower weights every day

If you genuinely don't enjoy this game anymore you shouldn't stick with it. Continuing to play won't make the money and time you've invested worth it, it's just continuing to spend time on something you dislike.
this is true, i tend to take long breaks when the game just isn't fun anymore and usually i come back enjoying myself again. not a lot has happened that has made me genuinely consider quitting, honestly there are only a few things that could get me to do so at this point. future collaborations with companies like ubisoft, crypto grifts or pay to play mechanics are my breaking point. otherwise i'm sinking with the game also i just loaded into a match whoops

This could just be me, but Dbd's feels so addictive. The aspect of a morbid survival horror is what hooks (haha) you in. BHVR truly struck gold on a live-service game.
i'd call dbd one of the few good live service games out there in terms of gameplay and the like. a lot of them are just blatant cash grabs from AAA companies, dbd is by far bhvr's most successful game and afaik the only one they've released that's gotten as popular as it is. i have my gripes but at its core dbd is a good game i'd say. just has a lot of issues weighing on it.

BHVR's business model strikes again.
in all fairness this is essentially what most modern game companies do now. i don't think it's any less gross, microtransactions are an inherently predatory system but it's just how it is now.
-
if i could go back and stop myself from paying for anything in this game i would do so in a heartbeat. now i feel like i've sunk too much in to give up on it.
-
i don't know about achievements, but there needs to be some kind of reward past p-9. there's no real reward to prestiging past level 9 besides better add ons for some killers (keep in mind that a lot of killers have borderline useless add-ons at higher rarities) and seeing a number go up despite it being mandatory.
-
money n funny
-
survivor bp gains need heavy adjustment, if they actually lowered bp gains under any circunstances i would uninstall
