I don't have a problem with the exterior of the map, but that main building is horrific. Between the windows and the lighting, it's gotten to the point where I just won't follow a survivor in there unless it's the end of the match. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I honestly cannot think of a nastier main building in any other map.
Windows, lighting, and you can't hook survivors who have boil over in there (idk if hooks can spawn in there but they didn't for me)

I was under the impression that Survivor has been uplayable since they removed infinites and vacuum vaults.
No, it's been unplayable since BNPs got nerfed.

It is not healthy because it is winning the game by not doing anything.
Bubba is a major problem because can end chases extremely quick with 1-shot and then prevent hook saves.
Why is Bubba and Hag able to secure killers when other killers can't use their power around the hook?
Why would you squander your talents making good points when you could be posting about how we should nerf sadako and buff nurse

I'm not sure why Lethal has that many voices for Nurse and Blight.
You gain a few seconds to find them and get their distribution, but after that it's a wasted slot IMHO.
I'd rather have another detection perk or Starstruck instead.
What am I missing?
Getting your first hit less than 10 secs into the match is fun (and a great start)
On blight anyway, I'm bad enough at nurse that I'd get equal value out of bamboozle

The best ones are when someone starts whining about consolers in postgame and the "console players" start responding angrily since they're actually on epic or something

Thank you guys for your help. I was finally able to full use her against a group and basically used a little bit of a Freddy and Wrath combo play.
Her lunge felt off because I’m used to these huge movements from the killers but she is very much not into that. But thanks to a few of you I’ve found my groove with her.
My last question. Does she suffer from lightburn?
She doesn't, thankfully.

I don't think his antiloop is that amazing. I've gotten a bit of value out of it but i still haven't been caught out by it as survivor.
Teleportation during nightfall is the real chase ability, and I've definitely gotten slapped via that.
-
I think he's fun to play against. I'm still not sure if I enjoy playing as him though.
-
Wandering into the basement during EGC when you know there's a bubba in there...
You can be a good looper but you'll only go so far with that level of decision making.
-
I'm usually happy to play more chill if there's an instant DC but I'm not under any obligation to, people have their own challenges + things to get done and sometimes just want to end the match asap to get into one that has 4 opponents in it. Also it's not like an occasional thing some days it feels like every game has an early DC. And don't abuse the report system.

Thanks for letting us know

I have a confession

No, but I don't believe that would make a difference. Perks/add-ons to increase Terror Radius have no effect when Undetectable.
Unless I'm massively misremembering I'm pretty sure I've gotten killer instinct while undetectable using them before the recent buff. I'm not currently at home but I can test that tomorrow.
-
I feel I was being quite restrained
-
Although I'm pleased people are enjoying playing as/against the new killer, I wish this level of effort was standard for all releases rather than poorly thought out and half finished killers being released because of the determination to release every three months.
Like this is an anniversary event so they've gone all in, there's a new map, the killer actually functions correctly, it doesn't have a full set of addons which barely do anything, even the existing maps have been updated with his power in mind as you said. I just wish this would be the norm.
-
Like others have said, take a break. Getting angry about extremely minor in-game things is a good sign of needing one as is talk of "sacrificing [your] mentality".

I personally run Spirit Fury, Enduring, Coup de Grâce, and Blood Warden.
For me, Spirit Fury + Enduring is a must-have on Legion. Basically the only counter to Feral Frenzy is to stun the Legion with a pallet, and this perk combo completely stops that. Sometimes you might even get a double hit — enter Frenzy, don't respect the pallet, hit the survivor, get stunned, Spirit Fury activates, hit the survivor again. It makes for some easy downs. You can also use Julie's Mixtape (and possibly Iridescent Button) to make it even more un-counterable.
I love to use Coup de Grâce as well. Legion is great at getting people injured, but has no real chase power beyond that. Coup de Grâce fixes this, giving you an extra edge in chases. And since the perk only activates on basic attacks, you can freely lunge in your Frenzy without wasting stacks!
Finally, there's Blood Warden. Now, you can use a gen regression perk instead of this, but I personally feel like that's a bit of a waste with Coup. I'd rather have everyone injured at the end (which is easy with Legion), use my big lunge to get some downs, and stop the survivors from escaping with Blood Warden.
Another build I surprisingly like is Stealth Legion — Trail of Torment, Dark Devotion, Hex: The Third Seal, Hex: Plaything, and whatever indoor map offering you want. Now, I'll tell you right away: this is NOT A GOOD BUILD. The detection part of the Legion's power is based on your Terror Radius, meaning it doesn't detect survivors if they're Oblivious or you're Undetectable.
However, decent survivors don't expect you to use stealth perks, for the reasons I just mentioned, so with the right map you might actually get some sort of value from them. It's not a common occurrence, but sometimes the element of surprise can really get you the win.
Have you tried using the addons to increase killer instinct range with stealth perks?

Horror is thrilling, even for people like me.
You could develop your own asymmetrical horror game that adheres to your personal religious values. Like four foetuses have to escape a planned parenthood employee or something.

What does my suggestion of optional charm visibility take from you or anyone? That is the whole point of optional. I have no option to not see pride charms in nearly every match I play. The only option I have is to not play the game and I don't want to do that because I love this game. People of faith play this game, as well as many diverse walks of life. I think the option to disable charm visibility would be inclusive for those who don't want to see them and it takes nothing away from you.
But the idea of your character being endlessly sacrificed on hooks covered in rainbow charms is such a joyful image. And if your survivor gameplay is as bad as your opinions then I'm sure it's a very, very regular occurrence.

In all fairness coming to the forums and reading posts people make is easier to avoid than wanting to play a horror game where nearly every match you play has pride charms on all the hooks and survivors.
Lord have mercy, the rainbow charms have @KateMain86 speaking in tongues

Actually my idea was to give an option to disable the visibility of all charms, not just the pride ones. I think if players don't want to see them they should have this option. Why would you care if any individual had the option to disable charm visibility? You would be able to see them if you want to.
Wish I could disable the visibility of your tedious whining.

Im sorry OP, I get what you mean. I don't have phobias anymore but had a crippling one as a kid, it resulted in me not being able to watch TV until I was about 12 (not so bad in hindsight I got into books)
I don't know if there's much that can practically be done though. With a horror themed game there's going to be a lot of things that get to a lot of different people. There's obvious ones like plague and clown but people have reacted badly to elements that relate to twins, trickster etc.
I think ultimately something would have to make a significant portion of the playerbase uncomfortable for it to be in line for a change on that basis.
-
I don't think it's so bad if a killer has bad synergy with some of their own perks. I mean it's nice if they do fit well but apart from making the adept mildly more annoying it's not the end of the world.

I noticed that, also the pig explanation in italics being at the bottom of that section instead of by the pig change.
Also noticed this one - I'm guessing it's supposed to say survivors turned invisible because I thought they're supposed to be visible during mori?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/E0TRXZ11IWL4/20220607-104624-jpg.jpg
I think they mean the survivor's body still being there after the mori bc that happened in ptb
-
I'll be very annoyed if it actively interferes with killer powers since the strongest killers would be completely unaffected by it and quite a few weaker ones would end up kinda screwed. Inability to see hooks/gens/survivor auras is a decent enough effect anyway.
-
What Mandy said ^ although tanking a hit for an exposed survivor when you aren't is a good play and -should- be rewarded
-
Both of those only work on a stun afaik, and you can't stun nurse during fatigue

I'm also a dead dawg main. I don't hate the map but I don't want to go there three times in a row either.

Thr glow have to go.So you want to surv to navigate in darkness but allow to see at 60m away of them and also make it glowing like a neon.
Make surv just see the 16 m distance and use memory to remember where structures and pallets are
They said it's a bug and he's meant to glow when in chase or in m1 distance
-
I'm happy to hang around for a while
Unless you all decide to come over and stand 16m away doing nothing, so me being there doesn't accomplish anything

Hits through Most loops? bruh, if you were injured, being speared after you dropped a pallet would be a waste, some loops even when speared you couldn't catch them in time to reel + lunge,
People seem to forget that slinger could only injure / deep wounds you if you broke the spear / hit them with m1 after m2, hell they broke half of the tiles for slinger so you couldn't even shoot through the wide enough holes to even justify why it didn't go through,
and the Few killers that can get a hit after a pallet is drop (not counting latency hits through pallets) Would be half the killer list.. only on a Few maps no killer can down you through the safest of pallets,
+ Quickscoping was fine, they should've just made it to ADS abit slowly, but not too slow,
(that and his addons needs goddamn fixing...)
Edit: Fixed Spelling Errors
It wasn't dodgeable. You could weave back and forth and hope he misses but by the time the gun was raised you'd already been shot. Also led to the extremely fun playstyle of spamming m2 without firing so the survivor loses distance and could just be hit normally. Or they stop weaving and get shot because anyone can hit a target running in a straight line. Lose/lose.

I guess GF and Myers technically?

On PC? Probably. PS4 queues with crossplay off were decent enough when I was on there.

yeah, I'm fair, unlike Oni
Oni is balanced. Do all you can to stop him getting the first hit (throw shack pallet at 5 gens if you really must), heal whenever you can, split up when he has his power to avoid an infectious fright slugfest. Pretty consistent counterplay.
-
Artist is strong, fun to play (for some people, definitely not all), and came with three good perks. Survivor and his perks were pretty meh but overall there have been far worse chapters than portrait of a murder.
-
Nah if they screw this up it could end badly. I'd rather they take their time.

People who ignore evidence are foolish, yes. But Steam Charts isn't evidence. Resident Evil was a huge chapter that brought in a lot of people who were never going to stay. But the total player base is still UP from before RE. There's 43,000 people currently on JUST on Steam, and Steam is less than 1/5th of the player base.
The steam charts are also always come with an explanation that the thing the poster dislikes is also the reason the game is dying, whether that's MMR, boons, killers being OP, survivors being OP, teabagging at the exit gates or Feng not having enough cosmetics.

Sure, I get why Oblivious is useful. But Furtive Chase doesn't do that, it only reduces your Terror Radius while you are actually chasing someone and stealth in a chase is pointless. It could make you literally Undetectable in chases and still be bad.
But if you also have nemesis then furtive chase -will- inflict oblivious when it triggers, just like for the people and decisive strike do
-
@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2977487#Comment_2977487
No, Nemesis already swaps the Obsession when it triggers, so you don’t need Furtive Chase to swap the Obsession before someone pallet stuns you to make that person both the Obsession and Oblivious.
I think you replied while I was still typing, but like I said above you could replace Furtive Chase in that Nemesis / MYC / Rancor combo with any good perk (e.g. Scourge Hook Pain Resonance) and it’s a more effective build overall.
Well I could still just get pallet stunned or flashlight blinded but the fun part of the build is sneaking up on exposed survivors who can't hear you coming, or at least making them too nervous to do much useful until the effects wear off
-
@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2977473#Comment_2977473
Just to clarify, Furtive Chase doesn’t make the unhooker Oblivious or Exposed in that combo. It just makes someone else a new Obsession. Nemesis and Rancor and MYC are the ones doing almost all the work in that combo.
MYC is the one making them exposed, furtive chase is the one that changes the obsession and nemesis is the one that causes oblivious any time the obsession changes. All three of those are necessary to inflict both status effects on the unhooker (rancor is just a bonus they can pass around)

Nobody and I mean nobody uses the perk to change obsessions we have Nemesis and decesive strike for that
I use it for that. Furtive chase/nemesis/rancor/MYC - hook the obsession then the unhooker becomes oblivious and exposed

Any build revolving around Mettle Of Man is a fun build
Object of obsession is insane with mettle of man if you can activate it

DS is way less annoying. Only two real issues I have with it:
1) Making it a guaranteed escape in endgame makes tunnelling earlier the sensible play, to get rid of it if nothing else
2) Its strength is tied to killer weakness. DSing a trapper might change the outcome of a match completely. DS a nurse and you'll probably be back on the floor 10 secs after
-
Twins, hag, ghostface
-
How about if a survivor gets mettle of man activated they're automatically banned?

Two dead, one slug. I didn't see a notification but I was shocked.
To be clear : I was in "The Game". I've downed the survivor on the other side of the closest basement pallet and grabbed him immediately. As I turned, I got hit by the pallet.

No boon, as for Unbreakable it was literally an instant down/grab.
In that case no, that save doesn't make sense
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
Well, that's just not realistic at all.
You will not be able to win by just "catching up" to W keyers. Pretty much every map in the game has some form of chained loop, good survivors will force you to account for their W keying. Plus it saves a ton of time hitting W keyers with 1 crow and then predicting where they will go and sending some crows to injure them, which is the most effective way to play artist.
If you are consistently getting hits by catching up to W keyers, then sorry but them survivors are not good at chaining loops unless you've got them zoned in the corner of the map. On the flip side, if you are getting hit while W keying an artist, chances are you probably aren't chaining loops and abusing her slow movement speed correctly.
Carniveris is probably my favourite artist main currently. I would highly recommend watching her if you want to see what artist gameplay looks like.
I was actually coming back here just to recommend her but glad to be beaten to it :)
