I'm sometimes getting the last two.

Frank's Mixtape is a bad addon. Sure Legion can down you in FF with it, but he has to hit 4 times and eat a 4 second stun 3 times in the process.
No one runs this or Stab Wounds Study, because trying to use Deep Wounds offensively is just a waste of time and it's more effective to treat deep wounds as minor stall.
Both these addons need changes, but not because they are OP.
Thanks for the useful tips! But I think you didn't get the joke.

until you realize the only reason the queues are so good is due to bugged hitboxes making playing killer a bit easier atm since its harder to loop a killer because of the reach :)
the moment it gets fixed the longer the queues
From the Killer's PoV the hits are perfectly normal, it doesn't make playing Killer any easier, desync is the issue.

It was always a thing, if the Bear Trap is too close to the window a fast vault can get the Survivor over it, that's why you always want to make a little space between the window and the Bear Trap to guarantee trapping that Survivor.
-
I think the Legion should get a Doctor style rework, change their power to be more fun for both sides, get rid of stupid deep wounds, tweak Feral Frenzy and give them a secondary ability that could help in a chase for example.
-
To be honest I'm not a fan of teleporting, you just pop from one place to another, not really that fun gameplay I would say, but that is just me.
I like more zoomin' Killers, like Blight or Billy.
If the teleporting is done right then I wouldn't mind that much, Nurse for example is fun for me (when she works).

No its one ive had for a few months that i purchased in the store
There was a recent issue with a rift cosmetic being given for free to everyone, maybe to prevent issues everybody's Meg was changed to default cosmetic, but idk.
-
@Sadsnacks said:
This has happened to me once or twice since the update and I'm on pc.
I've also loaded into a lobby recently and my characters cosmetics were swapped to the default skin but the inventory showed that I had my cosmetics equipped. That happened to my meg today.
Have you by any chance had selected the Meg cosmetic from the rift? That could be the cause of your skin getting changed to default.
-
I'm on Steam, also thank you!
-
Descend Beyond is the favorite chapter of mine, I love Blight and Felix is also really solid character, the perks are ok (except Visionary and Hex: Blood Favour, I hate the design of these perks).
-
Dragon's Grip a strong perk? When?
-
I have 17 of them, not sure where the issue could be.

I don't know if his view has changed by now, but I remember Tru3 saying (I think in the past 12 months) that Freddy should be able to teleport to a generator at the start of the match... always disagreed with him on that, it's like resetting your start position every trial and choosing where you start pretty much.
I'd say Freddy has more skill than say, Myers for example. With Freddy you kinda have to figure out good spots to place snares at loops, with Myers you just stare at a survivor then get your ability and one-hit down with M1... Myers has to have the most plain and boring power in the game.
Haha, it was possible for a little while (maybe for longer, idk), do you remember when you could tbag and use a flashlight at the start of the trial when the camera was spinning around your character as a Survivor? Well, when this was happening with Freddy you could hold the Teleport button before you were allowed to move and it would teleport you lol.
Maybe I have a video of this happening somewhere.
-
Just to point out, with Clown's new Antidote bottles he moves at 126.5 % | 5.06 m/s, not 125 % | 5 m/s. (4.6 * 1.1 = 5.06)
It's still pretty slow tho, it's like base Wraith...
-
I still prefer the old HUD, the upcoming one looks way better than the current HUD, but I still don't like it, how it looks, how it's put together, the colorful icons (breaks the art of the game).
-
I disagree that the update should be reverted, but I agree that the HuD and some of the new animations suck.

So if someone is on the floor crawling the timer will go off so after that they will leave behind blood pools again. It’s made so it doesn’t get abused while crawling
But if you spend so much time in the Dying State you literally cannot abuse it, because you die after 4 minutes, also if the sound is working correctly you can be heared from miles away.
-
If the timer resets every time you get healed / unhooked why even bother having it on a timer?

@Hoodied said:
Bill got updated a long time ago and its still his old one
That's right, I completely forgot about Bill, his portrait should get updated aswell, but I guess just rendering an image takes so much effort, that's why it hasn't been done yet.

I hope it will come back, they just recently introduced it, wouldn't it be kinda shame to throw it in trash?

I figure they should fix that typo in her bio already before doing that.
What typo?

Probably.

Everyone is playing killer because they get more more BP from the event. 12 hooks vs 5 gens
I actually get more Bloodpints as a Survivor during this event, as a Killer I mostly get if I do well around 34k Bloodpoints, as a Survivor around 40k Bloodpoints, worth using WGLF now!

We can infer that patch 4.5.1 will be tomorrow based on usual release patterns, with 4.5.2 being next week.
We can hope and pray both 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 both release tomorrow and actually fix things we need fixed. Cause of course all the important fixes are in 4.5.2.
Have there ever been two hotfix patches in one day?
-
No dates yet, but I think patch 4.5.1 will be tomorrow.

That doesn't really count as a Nerf though, because 10 seconds were cut from the total Deep Wounds timer. Frank's Mix Tape and Deep Wounds Study were adjusted accordingly. The numbers may be less, but together, they used to bring the timer down to 17.5 seconds from 30, but now it brings it down to 12 from 20. Its still pretty close, percentage wise, but 12 seconds is still not really enough time to do anything. 17.5 was enough time to fully heal someone before needing to mend.
I should have chosen "updated" or "adjusted" instead of "nerfed", my bad.
But nothing changes about these add-ons being still pretty useless... Which is kinda sad.
-
I really like the monster from Landon Dies, I love it's design.

@Gamekeeper said:
As you said his face-camping should get nerfed to the ground
Leatherface himself is actually in a really solid state rn
I think you cannot nerf his face camping without nerfing him to the ground aswell.

Of course, I was just wondering since some perks still work, like Hex Perks.

I want this aswell! Move it to the back like with any other decommissioned add-on / offering / item.

Yesterday around 90% of my games were Nurses and Deathslingers, it wasn't a fun day...

Killers.
Frank's mixtape and Stab wounds study - These two share the same problem instead of repeating myself I'll tackle them at the same time. They're relics of the past they were disgustingly strong with old legion's kit but with new Legion's kit it's just counterintuitive trying to make these work is actively throwing the game.
Amanda's letter- honestly this add-on isn't terrible I just feel like you lose more than you gain either increase the Aura reading range or add more of a benefit to the ambush and that's pretty much it.
Amanda's secret- This pretty much doesn't help it's mean advantages just basically going to be helping you go off the people who just got the trap off which is a waste of time. It's a tunnel me hard add on and nothing else.
Hellshire Iron - honestly what will you guys thinking with this. Deathslinger is naturally small terror radius doesn't help this also coupled with the fact that it looks your camera makes seeing of a survivor.
Pyramid head I'm not naming a specific ultra-rare because both of them are terrible. The torment mechanic is not consistent enough to make seal of metatron useful especially when triggering its effects also gives a potential of removing torment from two different people.
As for obsidian goblet you do not have the freedom with your torment trails to make this add-on worthwhile
I'm also including the status effect trail of torment add-ons it is not consistent enough for it to be very rare worthy ( either include the punishment wave into these effects or at least let the punishment wave apply torment)
Leprose lichen- stop adding aura reading effects to conditional add-ons that lock the camera. This addon not only requires you to have people injured but also requires you to hope to god that you just happen to be facing the direction because you can't change your camera.
Red moss demo is a killer with way too many loud sound cues and global notifications this makes it incredibly easy to know when you need to be on guard if you want to go stealthy there are better people to do it with. First of all reduce the volume of the sound cues and maybe remove the global notification and then get rid of the unnecessary penalty to your recovery speed.
Fuming mixtape - now entering killer instinct no longer removes your aura reading ability this addon has gotten a lot better but it is still under a time to effect unlike Wraith who has the same add-on but can use it endlessly
Survivors
There's only really one thing I need to complain about odd bulb why is this still an ultra rare add-on I legitimately getting more you set of shining my spooky flashlight at the wall and hoping a killer won't kill me because of my wacky personality
Don't forget Blight's Summoning Stone add-on, it literally does nothing.

Red moss makes Demos undetectable status, like, 30 seconds long.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1942851#Comment_1942851
I actually kind of like using Stab Wound Study with Nasty Blade. Now that the Deep Wound timer is 20 seconds by default, this lowers it to 15. Decent slow down. At least meme-able now.
Stab Wounds Study and Frank's Mix Tape were nerfed with the update to Deep Wounds tho, it now reduces the Deep Wound timer by 3 seconds, not 5. (And Frank's Mix Tape by 5, no longer 7.5)
-
Against the new Clown you do the exactly same thing as for the old Clown, just pre-drop pallets.
-
Breaking LoS comes to mind, but you already mentioned it, being stealthy also helps, since she's so slow when not blinking looking for you may take a while.
Also being unpredictable helps too, always look at what she's doing, you can also wait at corners when she cannot see you, this helps against like 90 % of Nurses I face at least.
-
From the Killers PoV the hits look completely fine, not from Survivors tho, probably some desync issue.

so glad it has a downside too lol
especially when spirit, blight, twins, wraith (technically does, but not an actual downside), oni and demo have speed addons without downsides. not to mention, their speed addons are actually all significant, bubba's are tiny.
great addon design! : - )
Actually with higher speed you cannot turn that well with Blight and Oni, so it technically does have a downside.
Developers probably thought that with instadown and free movement Bubba would be too op so the addons are pretty garbage currently.
Also they were even worse, before the update the green one was 1.25 % I think, which was pretty sad...
-
@Yords said:
What do you guys think that dead hard could be reworked to do, but still be useful?
The devs mentioned that they were reworking it a while back, but we still have no news on it. The only thing I can think of how it works is if it changes to do with protection hits.
I think by 'reworking' they meant how it functions, not literally reworking it, they want it work on dedicated servers.
-
It was kinda scary when I started playing, but after a while it stopped being scary and now there are only a few things that can scare the ######### out of me.
-
I have the same issue, after a few games I deranked from rank 1 to 5...
-
@Akhaten said:
if both players receive 1% bonus speed then the killer doesn't gain anything, the difference in speed between the players remains the same
100% / 115% -> 4.0m/s / 4.6m/s
101% / 116% -> 4.04m/s / 4.64m/s
That increase would be just a fast forward with extra steps for the first chase and then a perma buff for survivors, also from a technical point of view, hitting a survivor doesn't extend the chase, it starts another so the killer will lose the speed bonus upon hitting the survivor. From my point of view that perk is no risk high reward for survivors.
Actually this is not the case, because the game calculates the movement speed slightly differently I think: (At least from what I heared)
So it would be something like this:
4.0 m/s | 100 % * 1.01 = 4.04 m/s | 101 %
4.6 m/s | 115 % * 1.01 = 4.646 m/s | 116.15 %
So the Killer would be a tiny bit faster than the Survivor.
-
@Crowman said:
Every killer is capable of standing still and getting free hits from survivors running into the killer. Just don't run into the killer.
But at least you can see those Killers, you can't tell what she's doing.
If a normal Killer stands still and gets a free hit it's Survivor's fault for running into them.
If Spirit stands still the Survivor has no idea about what she's doing.
-
This literally happened just a few minutes ago, so is it a real bug?

Nothing so far. It should have been released in the same Rift like "Never stop slashing" for Legion, but the Devs have withdrawn it because they wanted to work on it.
It should be released with a future Rift, but no info on that so far.
There is something actually, in one of my discussions a mod replied to me that it will come in the next rift, but they don't know why it was delayed again.

@NoOneKnowsNova said:
I like the walking while injured animation, but the running while injured just looks like they have a cramp from running too much.
I agree, the walking is actually pretty good! But the running and idle animations really need some work.
-
The issue is not that their are holding their side or whatever, I think the animation looks really stiff and robotic, not really natural.
Also one more thing that kinda breaks it for me is that the Survivors while moving can no longer look up or down, which doesn't help with the realism at all.
-

Yeah,you started playing at the worst time possible,regarding event.
They did say (after the last halloween event) that they now focus on their anniversary and halloween events,so there might be hope for those.
I would say that they started playing this game at the worst time possible, not only regarding the events. (Binding of Kin chapter, this mid-chapter...)
