I already know for sure it exists, have had a happen to me and seen it plenty of times. I just wasn't sure if it was a problem for pc and by the looks of it, seeing how not a single pc player seems aware, that answers my question.
As far as bloodlust and sloppy, I don't really expect a killer to switch these tactics for this issue because it really should be something the Devs give some attention to. However on the subject of chest searching, PC Survivors here that just learned about this bug should go forward with this in mind and not search them if someone is struggling. At least I til someone can confirm whether the new chests cause the same issue.
I never get this. Sometimes I'll search the chest next to you before unhooking in case it has a med kit that I can heal you faster with. That way I can, well, heal you faster without searching the chest after the killer is notified and probably coming back.
-
Killers is actually fairly sensitive early game. If you stomp a group you're more likely to depip if anything. The game wants killers to play with their food a bit initially before snowballing later.
-
Self care user as well. I specialize in "escape artist" kind of maneuvers. You hit me, and within 5 seconds I just disappear (aka hide really well). Most of the time I waste a lot more of a killers time with them looking for me than most people in chases. Self care is there so I can heal up whenever he's not in earshot in case I need to run again.

IIRC standing near a hooked survivor for too long will actually subtract scoring from this emblem.
You can see no points were subtracted (good on you OP) so it has to be a bug.

Someone who mains killer enough to create map pressure when he plays survivor here. TR needed fixing. So does DS, but I hope that the devs look into it to balance it better because of this. Blight is OK where he is (apart from the addons).
Also this is causing the killers to tunnel? I just thought suddenly it was tactic of the year.
-
Honestly, this perk is worthless af. If the survivor drops it after you hit them, thats a pallet gone. If not? No different outcome.

If I go for a unhook my gen Regress without Input from the Killer.
Killers input: Downed survivor, hooked survivor, made pressure.
You wanna go that route, syptic agent and syringe has no input, just use instantly and free hit. Toolboxes have a common addon that lets you repair with no skill checks.Unbreakable lets you pick yourself back up with no input from a fellow survivor. I can keep going...?

this isnt a thread about ds, the whataboutism is strong with this one
Someone who played killer enough that he is able to make map pressure as a ######### survivor once i started maining it (not even joking), I do believe DS+Unbreakable is a bit much. I have no problem running much lesser perks and escaping.

@Spirit_Hag said:
lol basically you want it to where your own perk prevents you from doing your own objective?? lmao why would they do something like that? come on guys...
Because it also temporarily makes the killer unable to do their own objective if they chase you.

So basically someone using DS who isn't getting chased has to just stand around and do absolutely nothing until it runs out
meh, my randoms already do that
Lmao. Thats the downside to it. If its actually useful, it's no issue. If it's not, then you pay for the protection it could have provided.

Adrenaline doesn't need any changes.
I believe it does. In it's current state it's extremely powerful alone, let alone with other perks, as well as it's ability to straight up ruin a chase for a killer alone.

If the survivors keep coming to me I'll just let them. If they don't then I leave to go find them. Simple asthat.

What does grass have to do with tracking Spirit
Grass splits aside when the spirit walks over it even when phasing.

Undying is like DS for survivors. Killers expect DS and so they play around it by slugging and not picking up even though survivor doesnt have DS. If this perk becomes meta which I see it can, survivors will start to cleanse dull totems even though the killer doesn't have undying. I think it's fair.
"Hey, you want your NOED nerf? Here it is!"
-
Guy who plays both and is probably the sole reason blendette got nerfed a while back here, games are a bit more survivor sided, and thats info I've gained from being a solo survivor. If you can tell when the killers coming for you pressure means very little.

Not bannable, but people will hate you for it.

I wouldn't disagree with your statement but the issue is if killers know that there is no BT and DS, then there is nothing stopping them from playing scummy and tunnel people out. Even if you don't do that, when you're in a position that is almost impossible to win, you will resort to such tactics to have a chance.
You might have played survivor games without BT and DS to prove that it is possible but the thing is the killer doesn't know you are playing that way. He expects BT and DS and so he plays the optimal way and not tunnel. Killers expect it because its meta.
Rule 1 of DS: immediately rechallenge the survivor. Most of the time they're caught off guard from what I learnt, as in they expect "I DSed him, he'll try to pressure gens to recover" and then usually arent prepared to loop, go down, and get rehooked.

As evident in the mobile lore cinematics, the survivors and killers we have ingame are destined to either escape or die for/against the Entity. Felix, Ash, and Cheryl are pretty much the proof in the pudding that the survivors will get out. Killers like Slinger and Spirit also could very easily turn against the Entity, especially when you consider that Oni would follow the Spirit to whatever battle she took part in, considering how they're being manipulated by the Entity.
Felix is basically the Devs way of saying, with their own OG character(s), that the Entity can be fought, it can be beaten or at least escaped from, and that that story will be told soon. ;)
I dont know whether to consider mobile canon or not. Not because i hate it, but such an important cinematic should be available on PC, as well as they tend to divert in some way.

Nurse: Was the worst tortured out of all of them iirc
Spririt: Willing, but to sate her own rage more than anything.
Billy: Neither willing nor unwilling, he's there to murder so the entity leaves him to it.

Silent hill does not truly exist in the DBD world. Rather, all maps in general are mere copies created and thus controlled directly by the entity. So while the original silent hill may have been a special plane of existence controlled by a sun god, the silent hill we play on is technically an entirely different place and thus isn't under the jurisdiction of any gods.
There's a theory that the silent hill map is actually an intrusion of the sun gods as well as the executioner (or some deal was made)
The map has chains holding it up, which some have taken as symbolism of it being sectioned off from other maps
The executioner's ability seems to actually harm the entity, at least on a surface level.

- There's already an entire thread about this question. Right here. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/45371/what-songs-do-you-think-the-legion-mix-tapes-have#latest
- Max's room doesn't seem to exist on the Thompson House, the crusher Philip threw Azarov into in the official (but way less interesting) version of his lore doesn't exist, and Leatherface, while introduced with the Grim Pantry, isn't usually connected to that map, instead being affiliated with Coldwind Farm, if any map at all.
- The only map we somewhat know the geography of is the Dead Dawg Saloon, where we can see mountains beyond the walls. The exit gates and hatch don't take us there anyway, instead taking us directly back to the campfire to start the trials all over again.
- Most likely, yes, although it is up for debate.
- Rin Yamaoka was chosen due to her incredible rage. The Entity originally wanted her father, but her rage was far too appetizing. Adiris made one final prayer to her gods, and the Entity caught wind of it. With the Entity being a being of eldritch power, Adiris believes it to be one of her gods, and will do anything for it.
- Yes, Kazan is a hypocrite. It's part of what makes him such an interesting character.
- Nea went for the Asylum, Jeff grew up in Ormond and painted the Legion mural (well, unless you fully believe the Legion's Archive), and Zarina went investigating Caleb's old prison cell. And that's not counting the licensed characters. From what Kate's Archive tells us about her, she can notice things that no one else can. Like there's some sort of connection between her and other dimensions. After I read that, I immediately put together that the other Survivors are the same way. There's some connection that they all have. So basically chosen.

-Is not confirmed if Doctor had a PHD or not, what we know is that he was a student working in a neuroscience program in the Léry institute, did some nasty stuff in a research assignment, the CIA noticed him and made a deal with him to continue his experiment in the Léry, but we don’t know if he got a PHD then, eventually or his status.
-About survivors and connections to the Entity’s realm, we know that Felix, the new survivor, went to the same island where the Blight was initially taken.
-About the geography, I think a dev answered that anything beyond the walls is an illusion, like the moons or the stars, so I imagine that the mountains are illusions as well, although in the lore, the realms seems to be a bigger than in the games (like in the legion trailer):
Dave - "As geography inside The Entity, you can imagine every match as a pocket; a position within The Entity. You can imagine The Entity being as big as a universe. It's made of multiple layers; in one layer we have pockets where the match happens. Everything within a pocket is constructed by The Entity, except the Survivors and Killers. They do exists in a time continuum; when you go to the campfire, this also exists in one of these pockets, that has different rules. You can't be in all places at the same time, or travel in time within The Entity."
Dave - "To answer about the woods, yes, it's just a facade. It's within a pocket. What you see beyond the gate, the fog, that's the boundary. This exists in the lobby as well."
Felix's story proves that the entity can actually be attacked, and not only that but his parent had fought it before.

What @leatherfav88 said is pretty much the definitive answer. Whether or not ALL of the survivors we have ingame escape is unknown but we 100% know that the survivors we have ingame are the ones who defy the Entity and get out. I can see some being martyrs as a way to prevent the Entity from stopping them all but that responsibility would probably fall more on the "innocent" killers (Wraith, Spirit, Trapper to a degree, Deathslinger, maybe even Legion). The Observer even says that killers escape the Entity so its possible that there will be some grand conflict with the Entity in a few years as a sorta "Overwatch 2" style single-player/co-op campaign.
Nurse has a ######### bone to pick with the entity, if anyone gets the killing it she's going to go for it.

Vigo created a lab where the Entity couldn’t reach. Allowing him to research in peace. I don’t know if the person researching the Blight was Benedict or not. Devs stated that they want to continue with the lore before anything happens with Benedict. Côté also said that they want year 4 (This game year) to be a more maritime direction for the game, as in more lore is going to get revealed about Benedict, Vigo, the Entity and this world as a whole

I don't think the Lab was a safe place. The monster, if such a thing really existed, somehow sniffed it out and shattered the walls while breaking in.
Also the character should have returned to the Lab before Entity took them, as they, in despair, "feed the dead rodent under my pillow". Or maybe, it's not impossible that they always carry a dead rat and a pillow with them each time they went outdoors. 😁

Seems like it. Vigo is long gone because our character in question yells for him near the end to no avail. The part where the Entity takes him in is after he leaves the lab if I’m correct. But the lab is in an area where it wasn’t able to get found. Vigo figures something out with the Auric Cells and bended them to his will, allowing him to create an area that the Entity couldn’t see. Plus I think the moon has a bigger role, our character in question looks at the moon and can feel the Entity’s presence if I remember correctly
[... Insert other vigo safe place comments]
I want to raise the possibility that the entity simply allowed Vigo to do his thing and pretended to turn a blind eye, whether out of curiosity, entertainment, or perhaps the entity finds vigo's research interesting.

so it's not as such 'lore' that vigo tried to create it, leaving the possibility that there might be a different force at work? (like, maybe the one who's assisting the observer?)
Again, very, very doubtable, like barely worth considering if at all territory. The entity has proven that within it's realms, even death can't stop it playing with you. The only way to truly die is to make it bored and be cast into the void realm. The entity works mostly on a memory and understanding basis. Most of it's constructs come from those it's captured. If the entity needs to patch a gap and doesn't understand something (such as languages most of the time) it does its best to interpret it. The closest we've ever seen to a survivor taking control is vigo's lab, and again, many think the entity is letting him do this, whether out of curiosity, entertainment, or perhaps the entity doesn't know what it is and hopes vigo's intelligence might help.
-
On one rare occasion, I encountered an alternative way to escape. It suddenly dawned on me that I was the only remaining Survivor
- note signed "V"
A lot of people consider this to be Vigo, and since the entity works off the minds of survivors and killers, it was created by the entity, as a way to sustain hope. It's not official, but its the best theory there is.

i made a similar thread about it a while back, as I'm not too happy with the implications (i'm still open to be surprised).
I'd personally love it more if it were characters with no connection to the Entity whatsoever to be the ones to fight it off (at least for a while)
The only issue is that the entity is its own controlled environment. The only way for any old survivor to fight it off is if the entity lets them (such as the hatch, vigo attempted to create it, the entity liked it and now its a survivors last, desperate move). The only way for them to do it on their own terms is if the tools are brought from outside. Most likely not only that, but their purpose is somehow concealed as well.
-
You want a mistake? The entity accepting Felix into the realms very well could have killed it if it was uinlucky.

well, the 'she' comes from french grammar and its lack of a neutral form for stuff like this. maybe the survivors could have perceived it as a 'he' for a reason?
Doubtful. The entity was considered genderless (hell, i cant remember if the entity was nothing more that large insect arms back then) since the start. Both the lines also more refer to killer anyway (The killers can see scratch marks, and the entity has proved unconquerable (unless my theory is right) wheras a killer can be beaten.)
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
Also, when these quotes refer to 'he' do they talk about a killer or the Entity?
While the entity keeps getting changed loretically now and then, it's always been officially refered to as either a "she" or "it" so its most likely a killer
-
Vigo is most likely not the blight, as we know that Vigo was within the entity's realm in a sane state (Having a lab, capable of making tools and notes, etc). A more plausible explanation is that the entity is pulling timey-wimey ######### again and vigo was carrying on the research that the blight may have brought over, and thats assuming there is a connection. There's every chance Vigo simply discovered pustula himself and conducts research on it in case it could lead to an escape.

So I actually really like the Blight. He's a lot of fun and is very cool. The problem is its really easy to dodge is attack and really hard to aim it. I think lunging out of his power should have increased turning and he should be able to break pallets without an ad on.
Imo when he lunges it should act like an ordinary lunge. Full turning abilities, but only when executing the lunge and not the dash.
-
A power that's worthless at loops, I know that's high on my list of what I look for.
This is one of his better qualities, you've just cast a bad light on it. Other killers usually use their powers at loops but dont always land a hit before the survivor slams the pallet/dashes away to the next tile before you can keep up. The tactic you need to use is to play a tile extremely aggressively, force them to either drop the pallet and run or risk going down if they keep looping. Once they leave, he's an absolute menace between tiles.
I suggest bamboozle and his pallet blocker perk, as well as any perks that can shut down tiles.
-
Perks definitely arent random from what I've seen at least, I'll always get the same perk 3 times in a row (unless they start with it, in which case only twice)

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/147069/4-stabs-on-the-legion-mori-theory
I also hope we see some updated moris for older killers like trapper and Wraith, hopefully they relate to their pasts. Maybe the wraith can do what he did to Azarov (his previous boss). He ripped out his spine and uses it as his weapon. Maybe we can see the wraith do something similar to that? And the trapper could use his brute strength to crush their skull? There are plenty of options
The devs have stated that old mori's won't be updated, for historical value. Back then they thought they were amazing, and are considered an iconic part of the core of the game.
-
The game is fun with or without them, but variation would be nice. Demogorgon's current one is cool, but it'd be interesting to see other techniques.
-
I don't think it is, as long as it doesn't hook into the game itself. I've done it using software that let's me have an image on top of my screen and just move it till it's centered and used a custom one I drew.
-
- Adrenaline procced. When the final gen is completed a survivor with adrenaline will heal 1 health state (dying > injured > healthy). You got dedicated and as you went to pick her up it activated.
- This one was an illusion. Your hatchet missed and hit the "exit area" where survivors have to walk through in order to escape, which more or less is simply a wall. It looked like it exploded midair behind her but it simply was just a weird looking angle on it.
-
The only acceptable rules apart from the game's is any you put on yourself. For example, I only mori as an emergency pressure tool (and only bring greens unless I'm sure I can do a climactic endgame, being someone who prefers enacting terror rather than slaughtering everyone) with exceptions to perks like Devour Dope and Rancor.
-
I agree to this. Doesn't need to be long, just a 1 second wait time before you're actually "working" on the gen.
-
This looked longer in the editor.
-
People have realized he's not onlyviable, but fun for everyone in the game. Keeps survivors on their toes and the killer gets to mess around a lot.
-
I agree with this, not to block survivors going seperate sides of the map, but to block Hatch tech (where you DC so the hatch instantly opens for the other survivor.)
-
NOED is... weird, and that's coming from someone who uses it a lot (Endgame Demo ######### rocks with it). The huge speed buff would work pretty well, it's issue is with killers who can already have stupid movement speed (phased spirit, hillbilly, nurse would get a kick out of it too). Biggest example is Legion running at 140% speed. That's nuts! For comparison, Hillbilly tuns at 230% normally during a sprint.
The token down system also doesn't work very well because of, again, endgame builds. It can be alikened to how michaels perks used to contradict eachother; NOED is an endgame perk, but if you've worked enough to use it, by that point there's no use to it.
The ruin idea sounds... okay, but pretty useless. Killer can only chase 1 surv, thats one on each gate and one doing anything in a worst case scenario. The issue is that, with this suggestion, it ramps hard between 1-2 survivors left, 4 survivors make it pretty useless, 3 survivors make it easier, 2 make it impossible for one to escape, and same for 1. It's a hit and miss, which for a totem perk is bad.
-
@ClickyClicky said:

Thats how they want it
”just cleans totems”
”hey devs can you hide the totems better please? I want survivors to spend 5 minutes straight looking for a totem”
Fair and balanced.
Part of the whole "Just do bones" joke is that it's not hard to find them. Ifyou're complaining about having to do them you just prove yourself to be lazy. If they were properly hidden and required looking instead of just spawning with one in your sight half the time the whole "Just fdo bones" thing would disappear.
-
While it's definitely a second chance perk, no doubt about it, it's the only one that requires skill to use and isn't BS like "Heal a healthstate and also escape killer cause ######### you"
