I honestly despise Blendettes, not because of the play style, but the fact when I have one on my team, they ALWAYS leave you for dead on a hook and try stealth around for hatch. I had one do it today while I was killer. They left 3 teammates for dead on hooks in basement, which I made sure to walk to the oppisite end of the map so they had a chance to escape from it. They each died so I questioned what the hell was happening. Found hatch, closed it and headed to an exit gate. Blendette was there in the shadows, and the only thing that gave her away was the bright red Medkit that she was holding. I felt absolutly awful for the teammates that she left to die, though thankfully, they didn't hold it against me.

As a blendette im trying to get this changed. I try to go for hooks if need be, and if i do find hatch i try to save as many others with it as i can.

I can understand that blendette tho. If they didnt have comes that would be fishy af to me unless I knew you walked away and werent just insidious.

    Can you provide a source?

And my point still stands. 5 seconds is fully appropriate for DS.

Cant find source either, but this was their reasoning.

  • underrated, Empathy in solo queue. I know where thw killer is most of the time by paying attention to injured survivors

Underrated, distressing. Has so much sync with other perks and abilities.

  • Jacket from Hotline Miami 1. It'd be cool to have a killer that was (technically) the good guy from their original media, and has some interesting ways to interact with the environment.

This is probably the most bizarre thing I've seen as killer so far. In the lobby, I noticed they all had ttv names and I checked their streams. They were all on comms with each other, had 2000+ hours each in the game (2 of them had over 4000), the usual stuff you see.

I loaded in Badham Preschool II as Slinger. I downed a Kate pretty quickly, hooked her, one of them dc's, the Kate then dc's. The Steve and Feng then come and find me to point at the hook. I figured everyone wants this game over. I hook Steve who dc's while on the hook, and hook Feng who dies instantly.

I went into one of their streams to ask: Why did everyone DC?

Apparently, they only DC when playing against Slinger. The reason being, "he is unfun to play against". Now, don't get me wrong, I completely understand where they come from when saying this. It's near impossible to react to Slinger's ADS insta-shoot, and you can gain distance on him simply by holding it up. But then they said he is "unfair". This is where I disagree and I think most will too. Is Slinger strong in a chase? Yeah, there is no denying that. But he is evened out in his insane lack of map pressure. He's a 110% move speed killer with no map pressure. They were all comms together, one of them had Prove Thyself, it would not have been hard at all to gen rush me (it was a Preschool map so it was large).

I watched the stream for another game just to see what they behave like, and it's honestly quite pathetic. They went against a Forever Freddy (Swing Chains, Jump Rope, Thana, Dying Light, Sloppy) and said that THIS game would be more fun than a Slinger. They proceeded to gen rush a Forever Freddy with the Prove Thyself.

My question for everyone is this: What do YOU think about Slinger? Is he fun to play against? Is he fair to play against? Do you think DC'ing against every x killer you play against is pathetic behaviour, especially on stream?

TL;DR 4 salty streamers on comms DC'd solely because I played Slinger who is apparently "unfun and unfair", but Forever Freddy is acceptable.

Slinger isnt really fun, i do agree with the TTV, but he's not DC-levels of unfun. Doctor is more unfun imo.

People have been saying demogorgon is too loud and gives too much info, but how much ground can this argument cover? Let’s see:

I’ll be listing every killer and their global audio cue then compare them to demo:

    1. Trapper: global sound cue for when a trap gets disarmed
    2. Wraith: Swoosh sound every time he cloaks or uncloaks, + bell sound when he’s near.
    3. Hilbilly: Chainsaw sounds, not 100% global but still can be heard from long distances
    4. Nurse: global screeching sounds
    5. Myers: global halloween theme + exposed icon to survivors in tier 3
    6. Hag: this one is probably the most subtle but you can hear a slight sound whenever she takes a trap. test in kyf if you don’t believe me.
    7. Huntress: SHING kinda sound when her hatchet is fully charged, and global
    8. Doctor: both static blast and shock therapy have global sound cues.
    9. Bubba: like hillbilly
    10. Freddy: Air wooshing sounds when he’s teleporting, and global.
    11. Pig: she doesn’t have a global cue but she does have an ambush cue, and you can see the progress of your teammates traps
    12. Clown: survivors screams when intoxicated are global. + he grunts when he vaults so shack double vault mindgames are impossible with him.
    13. Spooreh: Phasing sounds, not global but can be heard from a decent range, because it would just be a buff if the phasing was global since you won’t tell if she’s near or not.
    14. Legion: deep wound bar that instantly notifies survivors its legion and every time you see it it means they’re busy frenzying someone (if thats even a word)
    15. Plague: global cue for cleansing and if she picks corrupt purge
    16. Ghostface: you can see if a survivor is marked or not and if it’s not you then you can instantly tell its ghostface.
    17. Oni: Global war cry, and global sound cue for when his power is ready to use
    18. Deathslinger: global gun shot sound cue
    19. Blight: you can hear him roar when hes around 20m of you, but hes the only killer that doesn’t have a global audio cue or doesnt give a special effect on the survivors status bar (the one at the bottom left).

Now, what was the point of all this? to prove that every killer notifies survivors on what they’re doing, however demo boi notifies survivors even when he misses or gets stunned when no other killer does that.

Is it a bad thing? Yes and no; No cuz you can use this to your advantage by giving survivors a false sense of security: randomly clicking m1 will notify everyone that you tried to hit someone when you werent even in a chase plus swf get info on what the killer is doing regardless if it’s demo or not, yes cuz if you actually are in a chase survivors will be wary of that, hell you can even hear if someone got dedicated or not, cuz if you hear his global stun noise and see a survivor downed at the same time then it means they got hit as they stunned you. ofc im not saying that demo is fine and that this is justified by any means and he could still use some buffs and an add on overhaul. his m1 and stun noises shouldn’t be global at all, the rest can stay global, like the roar after a hit or the roar while teleporting and for the love of god remove his STOMP STOMP while hes undetectable

Nurses screech is not global. Impressive range, but not global.

I don't think so. Some people are gonna say wraith is op, balanced or weak bit im just looking at thisthrough a survivor and killer POV.

There are 2 things that make a killer strong.

    -Map pressure

-end a chase quickly using their power

Wraith just doesn't fit any of those. Sure you could cloak and uncloak for the speed boost but will it matter?

His whole kit is countered by spine chill, flashlights and the extra long stun from pallets.

So what are the pros of wraith?

-good early game for a surprise attack

    -stealth killer

    And what are the cons?

    -no map pressure

-stealth killer (countered by spine chill)

-can't end chases quickly (M1 killer)

-not very strong once everyone knows who the killer is

Solutions? I dont know. Every other stealth killer has something extra to their kits. Like pig gets a dash and traps or ghostface/myers gets instadowns. But i can't see how to balance him

You dont even need spine chill against him if youre already running sprint burst. Just listen and you can hear him growling

  • I hang out around the killers shack waiting for a possible hatch spawn

  • @OtakuFreak said:

    Why does he:

-Scream, wince, cry and shout at the top of his lungs every single action he is doing? Hitting a survivor, BAHHHH. Stunned by a pallot, BAHHHHH. Hitting a Generator, BAHHHHH. Missing a basic attack, BAHHHHH, teleporting, BAHHHH, walking, BAHHHHH. Why?

-Why can survivors remove his portals when other killers like Freddy have portals that aren't removable (unless the survivor does the generator) at all? It's already a power that is barely adequate, yet the survivors have a way to disable it easily.

-Why are his red add-ons so trash? You could've made one of them make his teleporting completely silent to the survivors, but instead, you give him 10 seconds or such of stealth which is completely irrelevant when, BAHHH and STOMP STOMP STOMP come with the ''stealth''. I love the idea of a interdimensional monster being a stealth killer in a way, but instead, he's the easiest to hear from a mile away.

-Why is there no cute jumper skin for my Demorgorgon? He's a good boy and deserves a cute jumper.

-Why does his shred attack not work mid-air or off of hills? Why do I hit the invisible barriers in the sky? Why am I not allowed to lunge 20 years into the future onto a survivor across the map and down them?

    -Just, why?

    Thank you,

    -Demorgorgon Main Wanting Justice

    1. I like the wah's, though thats probably because I play much more aggressively than most other demos and it doesnt really hurt me
    2. I agree, it is a bit odd. Perhaps they should allow the killer instinct thing to work on unopened portals, so that way it becomes a tradeoff of map speed vs detection vs portal amount.
    3. The 10s stealth is much better than people think on more aggressive demos, and the aura reading is... decent, but not UR quality.
    4. Licensing
    5. I've had no issues with this? He works just fine on this part for me; in fact its a little much sometimes.

So where exactly is the logic to compare two completly different games?

    There is logic.

In among us, 2 friends make it impossible to win If its you (imposter) and them, they'll just vote you out. If you kill one, they tell the other.

Dead by Daylight isnt that bad, but one survivor knowing something and telling everyone means that move is useless, whichis why OoO is broken in SWF.

I could be misremembering, but everyone that I played with agreed that I was on the hook for too little to have hit phase 2. Attempted to unhook myself 3 times after being hooked in the basement, then within a couple seconds of the third attempt I was sent to phase 2. Didn't see the entity tentacles spawning in on my screen at all.

    To recreate:

    1. Have the perk slippery meat.
    2. Get hooked in basement.
    3. Attempt unhook 3 times
    4. Get sent to phase 2

I played Feng Min and I can't remember the map. I had a skeleton key with me as well.

I can't attach the .log file because its too large.

Paste the .log at https://pastebin.com/ , set it to private, and link it here.

  • 33% of ghostface must be visible to break him. If he leans well you could stare for all eternity and it wouldnt matter.

  • Perk trees, every level gives a point and you can chose to have a lot of minor buffs or 2 major buffs (ends of the spectrum).

Though, while I do want to make a game like DbD where the survivors arent expected to escape, just make it as far as possible, i probably would butcher it.

More people need to start doing this, the amount of arguments I've seen about a killer due to the lack of experience they have against them/playing as them is insane.

It's obvious I'm mainly referring to deathslinger here, but this also applies to hag, PH, etc, you know them killers.

Just before I get called out, this does NOT mean I'm trying to say "Oh you're just bad against X killer, git gud". Some killers have some mechanics that are annoying, in fact every killer has something that can be deemed annoying, I hate michael and pig, the killers that are seen as the most "fun" in the game.

But do not complain about something that is caused by your lack of experience playing as or against the killer.

And even, if a killer is annoying you, play that killer and see if you find anything such as strategies, that could help against said annoying mechanic. Don't assume that you're some survivor god who knows everything and all possible outcomes against that killer, as it's likely that there's a main of that killer that knows 100x more than you.

I've had many a killer thank me for being an actual challenge not because I was using SB/Adrenaline/DS/etc but because I knew the killer and had unique ways of countering or avoiding them

post EGC bloodwarden doesn't work as intended.

it was fine before we had EGS but now it's used to bm, all the killer has to do is wait till end with noed and bloodwarden, hook someone halfway through EGS and thats it any surv in trial is dead, nothing can be done, the perk isn't really OP but just badly designed, killers shouldn't be rewarded with a 4k for hooking a single surv at a certain time, that's ridiculous

it needs changed to work better with EGS and not a meme to annoy survs

inb4 killers say just leave the trial, no, just no, i'm not the kind to open the doors and leave, i want everyone or as many out, last min saves are where most of the fun in dbd are, so, no

i suggest pausing the EGS timer while bloodwarden is active, that's at least more fair than, your dead, ggez

Im probably falling into "what about" but ds would need a nerf. If bloodwarden isnt allowed to be powerful in a niche and have a slight bit of pressure just by existing, then why should ds which is already more powerful and likely to proc

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/66276/adrenaline-needs-a-nerf

The only nerf Adrenaline needs is the inability to activate on a downed Survivor - the amount of Survivors that have had a second chance free escape through a gate across the map because they were downed while I hooked their friend; crawled away somewhere to hide; and were magically healed from dying when I closed the Hatch is stupid.

Adrenaline should only work for healing injured to full health; not down to injured.

    @Avarice10 said:

It's an end game perk, only activates once the last gate is powered, sometimes you won't ever get any use out of it because you died before the last gen, other times the perk activates and you were already healthy and are now exhausted so you can't use your other exhaustion perk. It's only strong in those specific situations and even then it can be countered by perks such as NOED. It really isn't OP, it's strong in the right situation but that's it. When a survivor uses Adrenaline they're basically playing with 3 perks during the match and the hope the perk will be needed on the last gen.

I'm a fairly new player, main trapper, haven't even maxed him out yet. Rank 11 killer.

I got matched against a wide variety, rank 18, rank 12, rank 8, and rank 2.

Near the end of the match, 18 and 8 were dead, and I had the rank 12 and 2 survivors on the run with injuries. I down the 12, and wait for 2 while watching from a hill. Sure enough, 2 comes for 12, and I down 2.

At this point, I had ben hit by Direct Strike once already in the match by 8. I know there is a timer on DS, but I don't know how long it is, so I left them to die by slugging instead of chancing the DS.

Rank 2 and 12 both get in post game chat to rage at me for making it boring. Rank 2 even claimed he reported me for "holding the game hostage". A quick google later and I find that this term is used to describe ways of playing that make the game impossible to end, but slugging has a strict timer, so after a couple minutes they both died.

Is this an actual bannable offense? or just annoying to survivors, so they got butt-hurt about it?

TL:DR - I slugged the last 2 survivors for the guaranteed win. Is that "holding the game hostage"?

(P.S. - I can't figure out how to specify where this post should go, so please feel free to redirect my question if it's going to the wrong place)

Holding the game hostage meant you made the game unable to end without input from you. Here, they'd eventually bleed out, and as such is not holding it hostage.

Haha, that's good, did you see him coming from the window?

No, I was waiting for someone to get back on that gen cause there was no exit.

  • Legion can spread damage extremely well, and a skilled, resourceful legion can practically halt the game Also decently high mobility, many survivors consider him boring. He also can counter lockers since killer instinct isnt an aura, its a notification.

    Perks:

Iron Maiden: Pretty bad unless you want to "counter" headon. Leaving a locker causes survivors to scream and become exposed. Its other effect is neat on huntress, allowing her to reload faster,

Mad grit: Counters bodyblocking when carrying a survivor, practically removes attack cooldown while carrying a survivor, and landing a hit pauses the wiggle timer.

Discordance: Extremely useful. If 2 or more survivors sit on a gen the gen is highlighted and you are notified. Tier 1 is better than T3 so try not to level it up.

Simple math - if i have one buff, and one debuff both changing same stat (health in this case) but in opposite directions they should nullify. I know, i know Endurance is a temporary +1 HP, but Exposed doesn't care about HP - if it lands, it should down regardless of circumstances (apart form Dead Hard). So...wouldn't it be cool? I mean it would count ONLY if survivor has exposed effect (abilities like chainsaw would still respect endurance, but myers T3 would not give a damn).

Beside, survivor meta is dominated by Borrow Time since Bill release - there is no match without it. On the other hand killers does not use perks that offer Exposed status that often (apart from NOED), they rely more on killer abilities and addons. But NOED is used to catch up in the late game, if killer couldn't do good earlier and it is not that consistent because...it is HEX.

Exposed deals double damage, not insta-down. If a healthy survivor with endurance and exposed gets hit they should be injured, but not downed.

But the problem a newer players usually won't immediately jump on head unless they pick Feng Min right away.

A general consensus of the community is usually to go for things like iron will, adrenaline, sprint burst and we're gonna live forever before tackling anything else. So by the time these people have pretty much leveled up for different characters they're pretty adept at dealing with skill checks so they're not going to really be using technician anyway.

The only time this is in the case is if the new player in question usually just starts out as Min because they like her aesthetically.

That's the problem with having perks for new players be teachables by the timer player gets the perks it's usually recommended for them they are experienced enough at the game that they don't need to even worry about things like Windows of Opportunity or technician.

Windows of opportunity is pretty useful even to an experienced (solo-q) survivor imo. Lets me run without having to check tiles for dead pallets while im at it.

  • i do believe ds should get the same treatment as pop, both of them deserve this change.

Regarding "do more bones": I think we will (in fact I already do) be observing a meta shift that will include anti totem perks more frequently.

Detectives Hunch, Small Game, Inner Strength. The better players are already adapting since good players using for example ruin+undying can be kinda hard to deal with otherwise.

  • @Zaitsev said:

Legion is truly one of the most polarizing figures of DBD.

Here are my suggestions on how to fix them into being a more viable pick without making them unreasonably powerful.

Feral Frenzy now allows you to see blood and scratch marks during use. It also lasts forever. This allows you to more easily track survivors during it and allows it to be used as a mobility tool. Also, basic attacks no longer drain the Feral Frenzy bar at all.

Now the counterbalance? The FF gauge starts draining after landing a hit on a survivor. Instead of fully recharging the bar, hitting a non Deep Wounds survivor only recharges half of it. The duration of FF was also decreased once the first hit occurs.

Cancelling Feral Frenzy early if you havent hit a survivor (i.e. its not draining) will not incur a stun, but it will inflict a brief slowdown similar to Hillbilly.

There are no changes made to Deep Wounds itself, and Legion stacking hits on already afflicted survivors will not do anything.

Secondly, we need to change some of the addons.

The pin addons are garbage and need a rework. Each pin should increase the power recharge gained on a successful hit while in FF.

Instead of being garbage like it is now, Frank's Mixtape now increases the movement speed of FF as you chain FF hits.

The legion/nurse style of stuns are called fatigue, for future referance.
