Oh that's a risky idea cause you want to make moris baseline. Many survs I see here in the forum and in game hat moris so much they say using a mori is toxic and many disconnect the moment u start your mori

But it should be base kit to showcase the killer doing some awesome kill animation for a horror based game. If it was something that could happen every match then people wouldn't be as upset about it. And junk like that hurts the survivor for disconnecting more then it hurts the killer. Which is also why we should have a longer ban time for disconnecting.

  • When I propose this idea it's because I do play both sides a fair deal. I play a little more survivor because it doesn't come with nearly as much stress or possible frustrations. But I also enjoy small victories in the game and really couldn't honestly care about bloodpoints. I enjoy finding a survivor who is challenging to go against and that feeling of satisfaction of catching them. It's just equal parts frustration when at mid-high range MMR having a chase that lasts close to two minutes means that you more often then not only have 2 gens left. The killer needs more time on their hands but I do understand adding another Gen isn't simply done. They sort of gave the killer more time by adding boons but then at the same time made hit and run methods just pointless and made all new struggles who rely on injured survivors for pressure. The idea for adding the Mori I feel would help because it make it more appealing for new and casual players.

Right now killers are thrusted into a higher level of MMR much too quickly. Simple things that are out of their control shoot them forward like survivors killing themselves on hook. And while I think if you have 8 hooks and zero kills this is more about bad decision making, I understand this frustration as well. That's why I feel like being able to choose a Mori that you enjoy to kill a pesky survivor who cost you too much time or was acting toxic would give a little satisfaction to that tough match. Also it would be more complicated for a novice killer still learning the basics to shoot himself to a high MMR.

I admit that the Mori idea doesn't contribute much for mid-higher end killers but is something I'd personally enjoy seeing because I feel like with each update the game moves further away from a horror game. And the gen idea, while I don't think would hurt High MMR survivors too badly I do see how it could really be damaging for mid-low tier survivors. Too often have I been found first, have a chase for like 1.30 minutes and then when hooked see that not a single teammate is on a gen. I also feel those solo survivor struggles cause I'm solo nearly 100% of the time. Survivors definitely need more points for being in active chase, especially if they manage to escape the chase without being damaged or if the chase duration goes past two minutes. Sucks to have the game tell you didn't do so good cause you got like 6,000 bloodpoints even though you ran the killer for four gens and then was left to die on first hook by your teammates.

One thing that is bogus is that we have a cap set on how much we can earn in each category, that should definitely be removed. Maybe one way to make the killer have more time would be to make doing things what are not considered the objective grant significantly more blood points? Being in chase, doing totems, altruism, all these things should give more points then sitting on a gen and without caps it would be more worth running builds that gear towards specific things rather then using BT and DH every single match cause you have too lol

  • The point isn't to make things "balanced" as if this is an achievable goal for this game. It's to make the killer side more appealing and to add back some horror elements to the game. We have plenty of survivors as is but not enough killers willing to play when they play three matches with with new players who don't know what they're doing to be against survivors with 1000 plus hours in the next game.

You act as if the current system isn't just as easily exploitable just as the one before that was. As long as rank is a basis for matchmaking then a way to exploit it exists. You clearly didn't take time to read very well because I explained how any other means of death gives a base amount of points which means if a survivor dies then you steadily rise in rank. The only way you can Smurf is to not kill any survivors in your matches which, surprise surprise, is exactly how people Smurf the current system and the previous one.

The point is to make the killer side more appealing so that more of them stick around. The point is to go back to showcasing the killers and their horrors, make small victories for casual players more enjoyable. You say 4ks are easy to get as is but what you don't take into consideration is that's your personal experience. Not everyone wants to only use the strongest possible killers with the strongest possible add ONS, not everyone wants to be competitive or sweat. I clearly stated that I don't have any idea on the state of gens or giving the killer more time to spare. If you aren't here to have a constructive conversation and take the time to read what is written then why come to just be opposition? How about instead of being combative you actually add something to the topic?

  • For killer I feel a win is any match you enjoy and have fun. Getting multiple kills or Merciless Killer is always a satisfying feeling but if I have good chases where I am successful with my power, mind game, or have fun moments then that's a win. I'd say the only time I consider a loss on the killer end for me is having survivors act toxic after I was struggling real hard with a killer I was using. I don't consider much to be all that toxic. Flashlight saves and sabos and things like this are not toxic. Even butt dancing and pointing are fine most of the time honestly. But if a killer has a really bad match and you go out of your way to make them feel bad about it or wait out as long as you possibly can in the exit gate after they are open, then you're a waste of space lol

As far as a more tournament oriented thing, I don't think Merciless Killer, brutal killer, ect should be taken into consideration because it's a nonsense label. I've had matches where I feel I've done pretty poorly but because I had decent enough gen defense, like 4-5 hooks, and made some decent points the game says I'm a brutal killer even though everyone escapes and I was being looped really well most of the time.

As survivor I consider it a win if I have some good chases. I don't really care about escaping though I look at it as a whole even as a solo. If two or more survivors escape, then that's a win. If the killer is face camping or tunneling super hard and I manage to save that survivor and get them out alive then that's a win for me even if I die in the end.

  • Grades mean nothing at all now. They probably went against very skilled killers and their MMR went lower while you had successful matches that raises your MMR so now you all meet in the middle. I honestly love this cause now I can try new killers without getting destroyed by sweat squads that click on your face and teabag, effectively making you want to stop using new killers lol

  • I've had my game crash like 3 times today playing, all when Nemesis was in the match whether I was him or going against him. I love the content but tired of getting 10-15 minute bans because their update screwed with the game so hard~

  • I have a feeling this won't happen simply because of the further toxicity it would lead too. Already this community has people who are very toxic, who are out to make a game or someone's day bad. Who verbally assault people on their own platforms whether they played well or not. So I can only imagine they are shying away from this kind of option to help keep further toxicity from ensuing.

I'm a console player myself and usually solo, I see plenty of toxic behavior on both sides. While I feel like PC players have a superiority complex towards console players far too often then I like I still see plenty of selfish behavior amongst all sides. SWF groups being the worst whether they are console or PC. It doesn't always go badly but plenty of times I've been in matches where a 3 man SWF groups will be completely unconcerned with me. Leading 3+ minute chases only to be left to die on first hook, having people run past me while on death hook when the killer is no where to be found to go save their friend who is on their first hook.

Sad really because as far as the survivor side goes, it's 100% a team effort. But I don't let the toxic people get to me and always play for the team rather then my own survival. So many times have I died to get the rest of the team to get out and I still feel that to be a win~

  • I absolutely love this perk combination! My favorite in a long time. Started using it on Pyramid head~ Even on GhostFace sometimes because the yellow generator draws them in and they touch it, become exposed by dragons Grip, then you cloak and sneak up on a fool xD

But my favorite killer to use it on is Clown. BBQ, Trail of Torment, Dragons Grip, and Thrilling. Plus the add-ons that expand his cloud and make the survivor exhausted. That way once they touch the gen it's much harder to get away. Use thrilling and bbq to find gens that have good progress to kick cause they'll be more likely to come back and touch it.

  • I think the change was pretty reasonable. Will help stop people from dying after first hook and with some good teamwork it can prolong that first Mori from happening for a while. A lot of people saying all survivors should be hooked once is crazy, I believe this is way too strong of a nerf. Against a strong and coordinated team it be extremely difficult to be successful. In the end if one person just hid the whole match your Mori would be completely useless. The biggest issue I see with this 2 hook change is survivors being petty. Play the game until their second hook and then purposely dying to rob the killer of getting the Mori. Just like survivors who hide when they are the last survivor and downed. Like why drag it out, you were bested now just take your hook like a champ.

I was more towards the idea of needing a certain number of hooks before the Mori was active. Perhaps needing 4 hooks before you are able to Mori and it still requiring the survivor being Mori'ed to have been hooked at least once.

  • I second this. So far in the few matches I've played using The Twins not a single bloodpoint was counted towards the Dripping Blood challenge and I've also been experiencing the glitch where after deploying Victor he is unable to move. Once I was able to pounce out of this bug but the other times I was completely unable to get him to move.

Sorry, but console players often deserve to die on first hook.

From the lips of a toxic player for sure. You are 100% apart of the problem with the toxic members of the dbd community. Grow up chump.

  • I see a lot of people complain about tryhards, sweaty survivors, and all these kinds of things. Now I favor killer a little more than survivor but I'd like to think I play both parts equally. A killer doing real well on a match doesn't make him a try hard or sweaty, means he's good at the game. Sometimes as a killer, when you're having a bad match and almost all gens are done or even have all completed then you need to camp. Proxy Camp a guy, once he's saved you slug to prolong the game, try and use them as bait to keep the rest of the survivors in the game and from opening the exit gates. It's more about trying to salvage some good points in the game that otherwise went terrible. Sometimes you get pair against a swf team that loop extremely well and perhaps you don't have as strong of a chase skill. It happens given the disparity between the number of killers to survivors. Then proxy camp is okay when you finally get one but I believe you should always go for the unhooker, not the person being saved. Used as a way to get chases faster seeing as you know they are so experienced and even with this kind of strategy you know as a killer that you are forgoing the generators. What I think you should never do as a killer is face camp because a survivor was skilled. Sometimes on a ######### day or match maybe it's okay if you had a very toxic survivor but this isn't something you should do 99% of time. Just shows your lack of skill and sportsmanship.

Now killers, hear me out. I know it can suck, theres a lot of bad matchmaking out there and we may not want to hear it but there's not a lot that can be done. There's just way too many skilled survivors and not enough skilled killers. So we have people who are actually at a rank 7-13 killer taking on red rank survivors and getting demolished. Sucks, I was the one for a while but fortunately I enjoy and relish a challenge so I just kept my nose to the grind stone and got better. And face camping and tunneling might look so alluring but it's a part of the reason why you'll never progress in your skill. People cry out for balance but a lot of the times they are just wanting their favorite side to be made stronger then the other and this isn't balance. A lot of killers just want killers to be tailored to be able to take on a red rank swf survivor team but this is going to break the game more then balance it. Killers have to require skill otherwise survivors would never make it out of the early ranks. Beginning players need killers to be restrained otherwise survivors wouldn't start dropping like flys. Better match making would definitely help but then survivors who are skilled would be punished with ridiculous wait times just because they played enough to get good. This wouldn't be good. And survivors crying out for balance, I'm sorry but this really is a case of get good and stay in your lane. You have all the tools, all the perks, and all yhe environment things you need to be good. And if all that doesn't work you can swf.

Killers you have to realize that survivors doing well IS NOT toxic. A survivor looping so well that you can't get them isn't toxic. A survivor getting multiple flashlight saves is not toxic. A sabo survivor who isn't letting you get hooks isn't toxic. Body blocking isn't toxic. 180s and 360s isn't toxic. They are supposed to get away, they are supposed to avoid damage, and them doing it well isn't toxic. Doing gens isn't toxic. The phrase genrush is the dumbest thing out of all the bickering in this game community. That's their entire objective. Of course their going to try and do it as fast and efficiently as possible.

Now this doesn't mean they can't be toxic. Teabagging, flashlight clicks, pointing, being purposely reckless in the killers presence, opening the exit gate and not leaving immediately which is essentially holding the game hostage, these are definitely toxic. If high level skilled survivors could just have more sportsmanship and not do these things then I think a lot of the hate and toxicity would be gone. As a player of both sides for over a year I can confirm from my own experiences that their are way more toxic survivors then toxic killers. It's great that you are doing well as a skilled survivor, but don't be toxic about it. No reason for it.

And lastly, if you play for challenge and fun then Hakuna Matata my friends. Killing them all or escaping every match isn't what makes I fun, in my opinion. Good chases are fun for both sides, outsmarting the other wise well is fun, actually managing to pull off a 4 man escape with a key or getting some good moris is fun. Doesn't always have to result in your side completely destroying the other to have fun~

It's not an opinion, it's a fact that disabling crossplay fixed survivor queue for PC players.

Not everyone likes broken matchmaking like you do. I'd rather be paired with players of a similar skill level than a noob killer that will just get rolled.

You need to relax there guy. Not sure why you take this so personally but learn how to have an adult conversation and be disagreed with.

And this "Furthermore, console players aren't fun to play with. They use a controller and tend not to be good at the game" is definitely an opinion. Skill isn't determined by the platform you play.

  • @JoeyBob said:

It takes 5 seconds to disable. Survivor queue is actually better now when crossplay disabled before they added crossplay in the first place.

Furthermore, console players aren't fun to play with. They use a controller and tend not to be good at the game (I got sandbagged by then often). And you can't interact with them in chat.

Well while you are certainly entitled to your opinion that's why I was more interested in solutions not involving removing crossplay. Cause again, I like the varying levels of skill and tactics that you encounter with crossplay. I enjoy facing really tough PC killers with lots of experience as a survivor and wouldn't be able to enjoy that by turning off crossplay.

  • This still involves getting rid of crossplay there bud. I still enjoy getting varying degrees of different survivor styles to team up with. It wasn't exactly like survivor queue was that much better before crossplay anyhow, people still complained and you'd still have occasions where you have a long wait. It happens a little more frequently with cross play because of the swf options opened up by crossplay but that's why I think this would be a good idea so you can have both crossplay and faster queue times. Not to mention their is a difference in skill level between console and pc killers for varying reasons. I like that challenge of going against a killer with 1000s of hours in the game.

My first thought was like: "A Wendigo, has to be an Until Dawn Chapter!". But when you look closer, what would be a typicial BHVR move? Put a wrong track (Until Dawn) and then cause a surprise (Supernatural). The description says: "Our past can sometimes be a burden that drives us to the most dangerous places in search of answers and hope... " - It fits so well with Supernatural! And it makes even more sense when you think about the fact, that the final episode airs on november 19th. Maybe I'm too optimistic about this, but I really think it's possible!

I LOVE this thought! I definitely think it may be a stretch but my first thought was also Wendigo given the settings and the apparent strength of the arm coming down. Be pretty dope to have Sam and Dean as survivors too xD I definitely think it's a unlikely stretch but man I'd love that!

Any thoughts on what the power of the wendigo might be? Maybe have a power that "bites" the survivor. Perhaps grabs them and takes a few seconds to take the bite which then puts the survivor into the injured state. And with each bite the killer gets a small speed boost and a token from gaining strength by eating the flesh of a human. Then after so many tokens you can spend them to make your next hit down a survivor in one shot regardless of health system or things like BT or Soul Guard. Once you spend the tokens you lose the speed boost and any other benefits that come from the bite. Maybe along with the exposed hit and speed you could break pallets fast from being stronger or something. Just the first thing that comes to mind, we already have a few one hit and exposed based killers, this idea sounding close to Myers Tier system especially. But it can be fun to speculate!

I never get this. Sometimes I'll search the chest next to you before unhooking in case it has a med kit that I can heal you faster with. That way I can, well, heal you faster without searching the chest after the killer is notified and probably coming back.

That's great but it definitely does happen and I've seen it a number of times. If I remember right, in the last when this was circulating around forums, they said it mostly happens when a flashlight is what spawns inside the chest? But either way I think it be good for someone to make some kind of effort to spread the word. I'm also curious if there are any quirks or bugs like this that affect the PC players but not console.

  • I already know for sure it exists, have had a happen to me and seen it plenty of times. I just wasn't sure if it was a problem for pc and by the looks of it, seeing how not a single pc player seems aware, that answers my question.

As far as bloodlust and sloppy, I don't really expect a killer to switch these tactics for this issue because it really should be something the Devs give some attention to. However on the subject of chest searching, PC Survivors here that just learned about this bug should go forward with this in mind and not search them if someone is struggling. At least I til someone can confirm whether the new chests cause the same issue.

  • Well then hopefully some PC survivors will see this and take care moving forward. I haven't noticed it happening since the new chests have been added but either way I figured this might shed some light. Who knows how many DC that people get angry about are actually just ignorance to this problem.

  • I'd say level up GhostFace, great perks for those starting off new to killer. I'm All Ears is great for mid chase, helps keep the survivor from pulling too many tricky things with window vaults. And Thrilling tremors is great to help know which generator to go to next after hooking. Personally for gen focused build I like using Thrilling Tremors, Pop, Surveillance, and Tinkerer.

  • I'm in love with The Blight~ Love his mobility to cover map distance and with his add ons you can run a few different strategies with him. My favorite is to have Vigo's Journal, Tinkerer, and Trail of Torment to be a sneaky Blight xD

I think he has excellent map pressure and much like a Huntress quick fire you just have to get good at those quick rush attacks when indoor or near obstacles. I play on Xbox and still do pretty well with aiming, I can only guess it be easier on pc. I also feel getting that Lethal Rush hit takes more prediction rather then clear of obstacles cause much like hatchet throws or Demo shreds, it only takes a hard turn to dodge a straight on attack. But all in all I give him a 5/5, way too much fun xD

I also find it interesting that so many people want him to be stronger. I mean he should have counter play like any other killer should and I find it to be pretty balanced myself. If they start going for a cluster just use your power to get to the other side of it quickly to cut them off, move on to a new target, or fake them out. Pretend to leave and then rush back.

  • I can't say I've experienced any issues with Skill checks but I have been rubberbanding a bit lately. Nothing game changing but I've had it happen twice while in a chance and once when being picked up by the killer, teleported into his hands a few meters away from where I actually was. My latency and connection are fine as well. Hopefully it's not something that'll last but it's not a huge deal, at least not in my end, just yet.
