Yeah if im gonna plan to play with someone 14 hours ahead of me. Just wanna know in advance if this is gonna be a ######### show.
How does the game handle who we then get paired with?
I can't find reliable server information either. One list claims there is one IN Seoul. Then ironically one of the US servers is RIGHT by me. Interesting concept that we're both right on top of our respective servers. Then again another list shows the servers totally elsewhere.

Yeah i do. I played DbD with my Japan and American players and ping is insane ofcourse.
But i just want to say, Asians are playing different game then we have in EU.
Is it unplayable with the ping being so high?
What do you mean different game?

No and p100 sadly doesn't 😞
That's dumb. P100 should let you have it because that's a huge grind too.

If I'm correct it's basically just half of Low Amp Filament baseline for Sports Flashlight, meaning you can stack it with battery add-ons in order for it to last as long as possible. So it technically does last longer than 8 seconds I'm pretty sure, though they're more like 8 charges rather than seconds.
Wait so it impacts both? The base battery we can't interact with as well as the add ons?
Also it being 11% annoys my video game brain lol. It should be 12%

@rysm said:
Really great question! Unfortunately I've no idea but i'm hoping others know lol. Every single flashlight parameter (base item and its addon modifications) confuses me because there is no in-game explanation. So I just bring a medkit lol 💀
Apparently it is the battery add on increase going by whats said here. I know what you mean btw. The in game stuff doesn't explain flashlights at all basically. How are you supposed to really understand width or range without going to some video explaining it perfectly.
-
Thats the 2nd thing in a week thats been in the game forever apparently that I've never run into.
I've known about the Wraith heading you off to vautls and pallets before sure. That happens all the time. But I had never had one seemingly take my drop ability away when I initially had the position advantage.
-
Uhm, hell no.
I think bot mode should still give a small amount of BP.
But a match where ALL the players DC? For one that hasn't even happened to me before. I would welcome that. I would find it fun to be able to toy around with the stupid bots and try different things. All the while knowing I am still getting points.
-
Just to be clear it wasn't any dumby tech thing.
I pallet stunned him too late. He was already on my side of the pallet. He hit me just before he took the stun. The instant he hit me I jumped over the now downed pallet to get away from him and he hit me a 2nd time during the vault. The stun and both hits all happened inside the same 2 seconds.
-
Thats really weird. I've NEVER had that happen to me a single time before now.
-
@ratcoffee said:
i'm not sure exactly what happened here, let me take a guess at it.
-you dropped the pallet as the billy was swinging
-he hit you and got stunned at the same time
-you vaulted over the pallet
-he was able to hit you as you were vaulting over the pallet
was that how things went down? if so, that sounds like he was using the perk Enduring, which lets killers recover from stuns much faster than normal.
Thats exactly what happened. But I have never seen this happen before.
He shouldn't have been able to recover fast enough to hit me a 2nd time should he? It was like there was 80% stun time reduction not 50.
-
Thats weird because I did the same thing you did except I wasn't Feng. It said it worked but it didn't count after the match.
Then in my next match, I ironically managed to get 3 real greats right at the start of the match and this also said it counted and stayed counting after the match. I was Ripley.
-
LMAO at anyone actually thinking this is somehow a "for killers" change. Look at that roadmap. Literally all of those changes sound like take this from killer...take that from killer etc etc
THey intended to make Sadako weaker and accidentally made her stronger. Anyone who simply keeps the teleport in cooldown and constantly spreads condemned puts MASSIVE pressure onto the survivors. That is surely going to be removed and she will end up in a much weaker state.
-
????
-
Thanks.
I wish I could get them without doing this. I don't want to have to create TWO accounts just to get stuff for DBD...
-
Other than this twitch thing what exactly are they used for?
-
So do you not actually gain any currency IN matches. Only from the tome?

Mate just take the loss and move on....Don't vent on the forums.
No, I will complain about NONSENSE mechanics.
Like auto aim.
and basekit borrowed time in a situation where it would make it PHYSICALLY impossible for the killer to get a kill.
Why even have base kit BT when gens are done? Hooking a survivor who isn't on death hook in that situation should just instantly spawn a unicorn that carries the survivor out of the exit gate.
-
It's why I don't like posting on DBD forums much. So much outright dishonesty, I always wonder if it's delusion.
Survivor perspective. This super popular perk that we all love to use now BARELY matters! It shouldn't be nerfed!
Yeah, because survivors tend to use BAD perks. That's why Corrective Action, Left Behind, No One Left Behind, Poised, and Premonition are seen in practically every single match! It's because they're bad perks.
MFT is strong as hell. No one running it ACTUALLY thinks otherwise or they wouldn't be using it...

A killer can no longer been blinded when grabbing a survivor from a locker, that is correct.
Wait a minute, so can they NOW be blinded IF they grab the person while they're actively leaving the locker? I just got blinded in that scenario.

@AetherBytes said:
Skill issue, no joke, one you may not be able to fix. Singularity requires the ability to abstract yourself from the killer and visualize what a biopod would see, and where The Singulairty and the Biopod are relative to eachother and the survivor..
Basically, he requires being able to mentally imagine yourself in multiple different locations, something you probably can't do well.
I'd love to see you play him. These passive aggressive comments from people who probably don't even play killer are hilarious to me.
So his power is to "imagine where you would be looking". As if that isn't BLATANTLY obvious. As if people are just shooting Biopods into random spots and expecting results. Where else would someone put the pods at? The problem is you don't just plant them in completely random places or else they wouldn't come in handy much. You need to play them in regards to the objectives or else they can simply be IGNORED. Wait a minute, they can still be ignored with the beyond OP Emp that allow survivors to pretty much keep them offline at will. ALL to prevent a teleport with a 5 second run to hit. Amazing killer. Imagine survivors struggling against a Nurse who could only get a 5 second run from the survivors location.

@LobbyDodgerLeonidas said:
Yeah I just made almost the exact same thread. This killer is hot garbage. Designed by survivor mains. Trapper is better and that says something
Absolutely. At least Trapper can sometimes be luring you into a bad spot later on where all his traps are in the area the final gens need to be fixed in and then he blows up the game. Singularity doesn't have that. Having the actual ability to teleport not helping at all is just LOL.
But that s because the devs were super careful to make sure he had nothing going for him after they realized Skull Merchant could at least 3 gen. I mean other than that, what does SHE have?
The devs want to full proof the game from survivor losses that resulted from them not thinking ahead at all. Anything they do that could be a huge mistake later they want gone. Meanwhile as killer. Make one mistake and the whole game is lost. But remember guys! a 1k is a "tie"!

Designed by survivor mains definitely describes modern DBD killers.
100%
-
@Nazzzak said:
If you're struggling with him, you don't *have* to play him. There's like 31 other killers to pick from. I've gone up against plenty of good Singularitys.
Wait what? Tell me how I can use the 31 killers to finish his challenge.
-
@DY86 said:
Bruh what? Singularity is a pretty good killer but with a high skill ceiling. Maybe thats ur struggle
Tell me precisely what is good about him?
An ability that takes up precious time to set up
An ability that can be turned off by the survivors constantly. Let alone blatantly avoided by being out of sight or range
All in hopes that you can teleport to the survivors in a range that provides them 5 entire seconds to get safe first. THATS IT. Thats the MAIN component of his power. Hoping you can be a D list Nurse.
Oh and don't forget he can SLIGHTLY break a pallet faster big deal.
Meanwhile he has ridiculous balance tweaks like a HUGE slowdown anytime he comes out of his power. That shouldn't be there if it wasn't he could do mind games with it.
-
I wrote that odd which were you saying yes to? That PT does negate Unbreakable if used? Or that you can use them together and still get the full use of Unbreakable?
-
@Krazzik said:
I don't always expect 5 of them especially from survivor because they get them at a slower rate and maybe they only started the event just then buuut, it's a bit odd when sometimes i'm the ONLY one bringing one.
Then again I've seen multiple people on these forums admit that they're so petty and their hatred of the other side so strong they would rather screw themselves over, just to screw the other side over too.
Thats what I thought Day 1 as well. It's their first match. But nah, its more than that. Once you've played ONE match yo ugot enough to buy up to 5 of them instantly. That is assuming you had no BP saved at all.
I literally got like 200....
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Listen, I am not going to open BP and spend X ammout of BP on every character I am about to play, mainly Killers. There are so many of them and I allready have a plan to who I want to spend these BP. Like if I want to play 10 different Killers or Survivors, you think I will be always sitting and spending BP on each of them before trial? NO! I allready usualy have party streamers on Killers at least and they function almost the same as the cakes. I don't get people complaining when someone is using almost THE SAME OFFERING yet it's not good enough I quess. Might as well use nothing hmmm...
uhm, it takes seconds to spend BP these days. Even if you're for some weird reason unable to spend time using BP. During this event, you would hit the cap rather quickly. Then be forced to use BP on those random characters and therefore get the Terrormisu.
-
@HugTechLover said:
Yea it’s pretty ridiculous I’m seeing people bring regular cakes and puddings. I bring one every single match and I still have 100’s of them. I make many many more than I burn.
Right? It's objectively the lesser option to save them. Get as many as possible to extend things after this is over.
Saving Them=Earn BP now slower=Earn less Terrormisu in total= You're not saving them.....
Not complicated.
Like when someone burns a regular offering....really bro?
-
Actually, now that I think of it again. It HAS to count even after you've finished your portion. So my only question is do you need to keep the challenge active for your chases to count? It does track past 180 and everything.
There is no way you can only provide 180 and then you're done impacting the overall goal. The number is 62 million chase seconds. If each player could only add 180 that would mean this challenge would take like 344 THOUSAND plus players completing it. IIRC the most players EVER on the game at once was like 50k? It'd take weeks to finish let alone the 2 days it appears we are on target for.
-
I dont get it. Do you sometimes lose a charge? Even if you ddint make any pallets?
-
What excatly is the criteria for a reward?
-
What was happening
-
If you stun a killer with a special pallet. Is it a full normal stun?
TBH I find them very hard to use its like a whole new gameplay mechanic suddenly in the game lol.
-
@WeenieDog said:
So uh, speaking of "false states". I've noticed as nemesis that sometimes survivors that are non-infected still appear gooped up after vaccination. Has it always been this way? It's been such a long time since I sat down and played nemi.
Stuff like this happens all the time. The other day I shot a Jake directly with plagues vomit and he reacted to it and everything. Then I started chasing him and noticed he was healthy. I was so confused.
-
@shalo said:
Waiting inside the exit gate is never nice.
Well if I am the kilelr I am glad they wait. I can break the pallets and close the hatch and if they let me hit them out the better.
You act like this is some kind of problem. 3 minutes MAX possible time assuming zero play went on during the EGC.
Did I say I stood there until the last possible second? No.
-
not their ico ntheir name. and after they had escaped.

@katoptris said:
You tell me cause I'm not the one making a post bout it. If they get the standard then it a you problem. This is a counterplayed just like unhooking make the hunt go away for the rescuer.
That was sarcasm.....
You're saying you don't deserve the hit. But how does that make sense when a survivor triggers the patrol after you've hit them? Like I have some type of mind control that can GUARANTEE the survivor goes the wrong way? They literally gain a speed boost off of my initial hit and then if they make it to the flag a speed boost AND a free hit? Thats ridiculous.
In this particular instance, I activated a patrol. The survivor avoided it because the radius is a joke. I hit them and they vaulted out of a jungle gym and ran to another setup but accidentally triggered the patrol. They dropped a pallet in the way of the guard and I went to the RIGHT side of the setup hoping to trap them. Instead of making any turn they just went straight over a vault behind the pallet and looped back around to where the flag was and voided my hit just as I hit them.
I played that right. They made a mistake out of it. But I end up with nothing? Had I looped the OTHER way I would've been ehading in the same direction as the guard and they would've just ran in the direction that I tried to trap them in. The only way I get something there is if she WALKS into me.
THe ultra irony is she even played THAT part wrong in ANY other scenario. She should've ran straight after the vault and would've been much further from me. But she doubled BACK towards the flag which in any other looping scenario with any other killer would've resulted in a down. But she touched the flag the moment I hit her.
-
@katoptris said:
If they get to the flag then you don't deserve the down.
Yeah its like survivors speed up when they get hit or something. IDK whats going on.
-
@H2H said:
It’s so so so stupid that knight’s power can buff survivors.
Yeah it doesn't make any kind of sense that should be there. Especially with how long it takes to get the down anyways. I don't think they should get the speed boost either but BOTH? Thats just nuts.
Would be like if Myers downs you there is a series of skillchecks that can instantly get you back up. Or if Huntress hits you with a hatchet you're immune to other hatchets for 10 seconds.
-
@Steakdabait said:
yea turns out knight should have literally any counterplay at all (which is easily subverted lol). Just zone them from flag it's actually that easy
You saying Knight is strong? LOL you can land the orb thing almost directly on top of a survivor and have it not activate on them. Then when it does they just outrun it 75% of the time anyways. Like it needs some built in function to avoid downs at all? That is so silly. You have INSTADOWN killers but knight who has to work for the hits has the silly built in make survivors immune to his own attacks feature? Horrible function.

Well that was weird. I am kinda bummed.
I reset the game so I lose the damn XP bonus. But upon reloading it was back to normal except when I went into a pre lobby I literally watched the thing say 0xp to 500xp like 20+ times in a row. It retroactively gave me credit for what I earned. So I didn't need to reset.....
-
Yeah I did think of those. But those don't have the axes. A lot of the time the rift especially earlier rifts gave out outfits t hat sure looked like earlier prototype versions of ones they sold in the store. I could've sworn that was one of them. Some Mandella effect #########.
But then again at the same time. There's so many outfits now it would be really hard to track if a bug has taken one away or something. We all know thats happened before in both ways. Given outfits AND taking them away.

@imakepeoplehateme said:
I thing some manner of depping should still be present in the game.
You could punish Dcs with it as well as people who sacrifice themselves on hook.
On the killer side it should punish afking,so there should be a requirement to hook get two hooks for example.
Survivors also shouldn't be able to depip a killer by mass dcing.
That too. THe OTHER players playing like crap or DCing should not impact OUR pips. It just makes no sense.

Dude, the rift is now OVER and I finished all other challenges and worked my way back around to these and theyr'e STILL bugged?

Just started this challenge. I'll get back to you when I find one
Update: Just had a match where I encountered three of them, each failed immediately on the first skill check despite me hitting them, so sadly yes, they are still bugged.
Thank you.
wth I wonder how it could be hard enough to figure it out to where this bug ha survived at least one patch?
