Did this get fixed in the new patvch?

They're bugged. Merciless Storm is also killswitched right now.
Are t hey really? Just played 6 GD matches and failed to get a SINGLE ONE DONE.
Only ONE TIME was I able to get success on 2 hits in a row. ithought I was losing my mind like why cant I do this.
-
This forum seems dead after the horrible interface change.
-
I get that for killer. Then party creation failed as survivor.
-
@Deathstroke said:
Try to wait even longer and see if they use it. Some are good at quessing when you hit but no-one can guess it if you wait forever but do this only if you know they have dh and the situation allows to wait.
I will sometimes wait up to 4 seconds and they still seem to "guess" right. It's .....strange.

How do you Balance the game if BAD SURVIVORS GET FREE INFO and can avoid all the bad scenarios? The Fun of playing Survivor is the Tension and Unpredictability. THAT'S WHY THE GAME LAUNCHED WITHOUT SWF.
Late game comebacks are absolutly fine, for both sides. Just because you did the gens doesn't mean you've already won. The faster you get them done the better but you then get cocky and screw up that's entirely on you.
SWF was added because Survivor players asked for it... The game wouldn't have a SoloQ Problem if we didn't had SWF. You'd have Balanced the game probably 5 years ago...
All irrelevant points.
Again, SWF is NEVER going away. Live with it.
Bad survivors will lose either way. If this info makes it so they win. The kill stats will actually start to reflect that. WE WANT THIS. No killer WOULDNT want that. If you don't then I doubt your comprehending what is being said. I already explained this perfectly. It makes zero sense why anyone who thinks the game is imbalanced would be against this. It does NOTHING to bolster SWF while helping solos come more in line with them.
I've had COUNTLESS matches as killer where I 3k or 4k in a match where I actually got destroyed and only won because of not being able to transmit info like an SWF could. See a SWF would've all gotten out. These solos all die. The problem is BHVR is looking at the stats saying hmmm this killer is overperforming when we are actually UNDERperforming it was just the survivros totally blew it. Meanwhile, they make tweaks to make the survivors stronger....when they're ALREADY stronger!
Literally, all these high kill rates are MASSIVELY influenced by idiotic survivor play. Lets make the game "idiot proof" and actually see it balanced.
-
Some people are high. SWF isn't going anywhere so there are actually people crying about this new thing?
How many solo games that the survivors should've won end up going the killers way purely out of the lack of possible sharing of info. Then the match ends at the stats say hmmmm killer was really strong here survivors need more help. Leads to inflated kill rates that don't show that the survivors actually held the advantages.
This change will help the stats be much more meaningful and ACTUALLY balance the game.
-
Thats really weird because I don't think I have EVER seen NOED get alerted when someone wasn't downed. I've just never seen it happen.
-
I don't think the survivors who do that care either way though. In theory, it COULD increase but I honestly don't think it would.
Killer is slightly different. The survivors can still make a mistake and turn any game into the killers favor. As killer I do not even think abouit pips because they're much easier for me to force. I can't imagine purposely losing faster because I know I won't obtain one. That's kinda a catch 22 thing? I could see some super casual player doing that but then again a super casual player wouldn't care about the pips.

The distance from hooks from the base of the stairs has definitely increased by 1 or 2 metres. It might not sound like much but it can make a huge difference when other survivors are bodyblocking and/or the killer is forced to use the basement because there are no other hooks available nearby.
Exactly even one meter is MASSIVE. I've made that hook by a fraction of an inch like 5,000 times. As survivor I have FAILED to escape that grasp wit ha fraction of a second left 5,000 times. As well as escape with that second to spare many many times. Overall its HUGE and ironically ENCOURAGES survivor body blocking.....
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
If that's true, it's kinda both a nerf and a buff. It might make it a bit harder to get to the hook as killer, but it also makes it that much harder for survivors to get out of basement too.
I get your thinking but no it isn't. The killer makes those hooks by a fraction of a second all the time. For a survivor trying to get out of the basement the size doesn't matter at all. Unless we're talking DOUBLING the size of the stairs or something.
-
I've heard of this bug and its apparentlly related to the 4 mori Myers achievement also being impossible right now?
But what is also confusing to me is I have gotten Merciless like 4 different times on 3ks. I thought you needed a 4k to get a Merciless?
-
is there a wrong way to lay there?
-
Actually, that wouldn't be the worst idea. But it would have to be the same value. So like 2.5% vaulting increase. Anything more could just get insane. It's already really crazy with SC Resillience. Having ANOTHER 6% stack on it would be absolutely crazy.

Try restarting the game, that helps for me for 1 game. Then back to restarting cause the incentives are missing. I made a bug report about it a few seconds ago. After restarting the fith time, it gets kinda annoying
You know what I think that's happening dude.
Could you tell for sure if you were NOT being awarded the BP? Or was it simply just not SHOWING the 100% icon thing? If I have to reset the game EVERY game that is going to be super annoying.
-
Back to 100% survivor. Lol.
-
@Mandy said:
If you're not getting an incentive at the moment it would mean that in your specific area the queue is about even so there's no call for either one side or the other.
Yeah, but is it a coincidence it happened on the day of the patch or has there been a change made?
I play daily at the same time and every SINGLE time it is set to 100% survivor. I have seen it say otherwise less than 5 times. I have never once seen it say 0 for either side.

I have not but people can develop sensitivity to screen light (from just mild headaches from eye strain and whatnot to actually epileptic issues).
If it's been going on for a few weeks, I'd highly recommend you talk to your doctor about it. If it's only been a day or two, try to just cut back on screen time and see if maybe you're just having eye strain issues.
I think it's possibly an ear infection doing this or earwax buildup.

So its probably not a good perk to use with them then right?

@DoritoHead said:
Downing a survivor with Victor= 5 seconds
Switching to Charlotte= 3 Seconds, so that’s 8 seconds after every down.
Time for survivor to pick themselves up off of the ground = 45 seconds, giving you 37 seconds to pick the survivor up, not factoring in teammates or medkits.
Now, let’s say the survivor has Unbreakable. That makes it take 22.5 seconds for them to pick themselves up, giving you a grand total of 14.5 seconds to pick up the survivor, not factoring in teammates or Medkits.
Thanks for coming, and remember: Twins are monsters at High MMR!
High MMR Twins aren't downing one person and going right for them. They're strong because they can quickly down multiple people. Something this change will make only available to the BEST OF THE BEST twins if even that.

@Crowman said:
I experimented with Freddy skill check addons and oppression sometime last year and I never saw auras from people who blew up gens with it. I did it for multiple games and never saw any sort of value from it.
AFAIK, they don't and the addons are hardly worth using because freddy has very little ways to reliably affect skill checks and the only way you could keep consistent value of them is if you run the addon that prevents survivors from waking up by failing skill checks.
Well yeah, they're trash. Its like the person who made them didn't realize they were totally changing Freddy. You used to need to fail a skillcheck to wake up because he couldn't hurt you at all if you were awake. Now failing a skillcheck is 100% pointless. It is in ZERO way worth it to lose progress just to reset a stupid timer and also let him know where you are.
How those add ons survived the like 3 big nerfs he's gotten since then is insane. Makes perfect sense actually, they suck so why would they get rid of them? All of his add ons suck.
-
Another question I will add here.
Do Freddy's failed skillcheck add ons trigger upon a failed Overcharge skillcheck? If so I could actually justify maybe using these POS. He has the worst add ons ever.

Name another time they fixed a bug and BUFFED something in compensation for losing the hack?
Hack?
LOL you're that same person from my other thread. Seriously, what is your problem with Blast Mine? It is the most POINTLESS perk and it does absolutely nothing big picture. I only use it for challenges.
To answer your question. Probably never? That should let you know even the devs think its kinda weak. Like I said long ago now. Had this "bug" been caught back then Blast Mine would've probably been buffed back into a proper place by now.
lmao how does it make sense that Flashbang is better in every possible way yet it initially needed even LESS gen progression to earn?
Keeping Blast Mine after the timer ran out literally made you like....25% more likely to actually get a stun blind? Big friggin deal. Be like having a perk that blinds a kilelr at a pallet drop automatically ONCE per match and people getting bent out of shap eabout it.
-
@DustyPumpking said:
This perk went downhill so fast, I really miss it
I never get any value out of it now...
Yeah its horrible. If they're so set on it expiring and needing to earn it again. There should be so many buffs made to it.
Again, how does it make sense Flashbang ORIGINALLY only needed 50% repair yet you can KEEP the flashang forever. Put it down, or give it to someone else. Yet they thought it made sense Blast Mine needed to be 66%?
Now its just laughable. They made it EVEN WORSE and corrected the wrong issue.
-
@LinkToReality said:
I think the intended way to use Blast Mine is more if you have to leave a gen prematurely, not when being chased off by the killer.
That way if the killer comes by while you're off doing your other task, be it healing someone or whatever, and he see the progressed gen he might kick it to apply CoB or other gen kicking perks and you get the blind.
It can also be used if you know the killer is coming from aura reading (or SWF communication) and you place it and sneak away without him seeing you. Then when he kicks you get time to properly escape the area.
I don't think it was ever intended to be used offensively.
The problem is this makes the perk SO BAD that it is simply NEVER worth running. It was like this BEFORE the bug correction.
I exclusively used it for stun blind challenges. I tried it yesterday couldn't get a single stun.
-
@Friendly_Blendette said:
Imo it and repressed alliance should be merged with one of them becoming something entirely different. Instead of just the boom it also blocks for a while to make it actually a viable counter to gen kicking builds instead of "oh no a 3 second wibbly wobbly thing on my screen. Anyways pop!"
THat would be interesting.

How is it better on PC users than on console? Literally the same button inputs spacebar vs r1/rb
Play killer on console against PC survivors with it and find out.
@Deathstroke said:
Pc players can lot more easily hit the great skill checks maybe that's ot affecring it. I think ebery skill check sjould be bigger on console or they should be smaller on pc. But anyway boil over does nothing agains't pc killers but is problem for console killers you get stuck in doorways. So I think boil over effect sould just affect on the wiggle bar going faster and not cause more struggle effects or they should be reduced on console.
That's the thing I don't think it's the skillchecks. The wiggle skillchecks are also VERY easy on on console because you don't need to worry about negative aspects like failed regression. I land 90% of them.
There is something about it that makes you so much more likely to get stuck on doorways and obstacles.
It makes no sense. When a console guy has it it feels the same as it always did. When a PC user has it it's like the killer is drunk and on crack. Somehow they;'re able to get way more out of it.

Tested Network connection. GOOD
Tested Multiplayer connection. GOOD
Tested Network stats. Download and upload exceeding what they should be. Ping 40 Packet loss 0%
What the hell is going on? This time was a little different because I could not connect to a killer match it kept saying "failed to reach host"
Then when I get DCed it says "disconnected from host"
This particular match was a little rubber bandy. I have no idea what is happening.
A little pissed this time as I was about to get my 6th hook on that god awful SUPER SLOW pallet breaking glyph.
-
THis happeend now 2 days in a row.
How in the world can it be ME if I keep on never getting the DC penalty?
-
This is now happening again t ome today. I have no idea why this happens. I feel like it isn't on my end.
-
thanks
-
Is it only this daily?
-
Works for me on Xbox One
But both times I was actively healing when it happened. I hope you dont NEED to be healing for it to work right? Thatd be kinda lame.
-
"I also like this comment in regards to DS and Blast Mine. "You need to understand how to apply the perk!"
Except survivors don't apply it. The killer does. It is literally dependent on them applying the action that triggers it. Survivors have practically no control over these perks."
I found that funny myself. What is the right way to use a perk like the new Blast Mine? A perk that one has zero control on whether or not the killer will ever go for a kick.
Spoiler. There is none. There is ZERO way to tell you will get use out of it. It was situational before. It's absolute trash now.
I for sure think this will be another when a bug becomes a feature thing. They will revert it back.
-
LOL!!!!!! I don't want to hate on BHVR but that is the most hilarious explanation I ever could've imagined.
So they didn't realize the perk was bugged....for over a year.
LOLOL. Had they realized this back then. They would've fixed it. Then some time after they would've reverted it back to the "bugged" state because I consider that a happy accident and it's exactly how the perk SHOULD work in the first place and I am hoping they realize this going forward.
It's hard to defend using the " bugged" blast mine. This new version will be absolutely horrible. All for a dumb blind that won't even save someone. Would be a different story if it was possible to detonate and save someone being carried. But it isn't.
-
I got stuck for simply BREAKING a pallet.

I feel like you just want to yell survivors bad without addressing the actual point and found a random thread to do so.
So, because random people complain about Overcharge/Call of Brine/Eruption/etc, Blast Mine deserves its nerf? Or you just specifically don't care it got nerfed because those people complained? Or is that unrelated?
I second this. Their point is also bad. ALL PERKS MUST HAVE TIMER. Even if effect is extremely minor. That's just bad logic.
Also, you're more likely to get use out of Decisive Strike than Blast Mine now. In what world does that make sense? This change treats Blast Mine like tis this SUPER strong perk or something when its not. Thats the whole point and its a really simple one.
-
@Adjatha said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3159645#Comment_3159645
And yet there are many, MANY people who complain about Call of Brine or Overcharge. And Blast Mine is specifically there to punish killers who insist on a kick before chase to get the regression rolling.
But, for some reason, it's fine to complain about killers running all regression perks, but totally unreasonable to actually run the survivor perks that punish killers for running regression.
Weird how that works!
IDK what you're even talking about over here. What do those 2 perks have to do with anything?
COB is active for 60 seconds. It always comes into play since the gen will either be regressed heavily or you will know someone is working on it.
Same thing with Overcharge especially if paired with COB. Assuming an actual 60 seconds went by without interuption. You got a MASSIVE benefit from it.
How is that comparable? You will get use out of those 2 perks every single time you use them. Blast Mine you were lucky to get use out of 30% of the time. Now it is another scrap pile perk that you will never get use out of.
-
@Adjatha said:
Every killer perk that activates, has no effect, and deactivates has the same cooldown or activation requirements as it did initially. Why should survivor perks be able to get refunded until you get a use out of it?
Because it makes the perk pointless?
As of now you're about as likely to not get one use out of it as you are to get 1 use out of it.
After this patch 90% of the time you won't get any use out of this perk.
Whats it do exactly? Oh yeah stuns a killer for a couple of seconds big deal.
-
@WeenieDog said:
The order of the tinfoil hats believe wiretap put out the hit.
Logically speaking. It would make sense. This completely not OP perk gets nerfed in the same patch a similar perk gets released. I don't see the conflict off hand but its the only theory that seems to make sense.

I messaged someone in the match and he said only I DCed and the match was still going on.
That is confusing. I get no DC penalty. It says the killer DCed along with me. But really only I DCed even though I didn't even DC. #########.
-
I think it should be buffed to KEEP the effects when the final gen goes off. Effects being everything except the endurance.
Meaning if I got unhooked and have 30 seconds left on the timer. Them doing the last gen shouldn't erase all the effects.
-

why did they gift us the same skin most of us have though? they only give 1 skin away a month through prime as it is.
yeah and where did we get this skin from to begin with? Wasn't it Prime? Pretty lame if you ask me. We have only done what feels like 5-7 skins on prime gaming and were ALREADY onto duplicates? In a game where theres like zillions. At least give out one of those lame ones that are a base outfit but a different color. Anythings better than something we can't even use.

Damn assuming it wasn't somehow tied to my account I was gonna just toss it in here like a grenade.

@Thusly_Boned said:
On its face it looks bad, but with the new prestige system I feel like people need to use the shrine less? That's just my perspective, and I'm looking at this from the perspective of someone who already has all the perks, so the SoS has been kinda dead to me for a long while.
Also, the conversion rate on shard>BP via the shrine has always been terrible, I can rack up a mil to 1.5 mil BP (at least) in the time it takes to earn 2.7K iri shards. But we're supposed to see some value in trading that many shards for like 1/10th of that? Not remotely. Shards=time, and time is the scarcest currency.
And I like cosmetics, but don't much like spending $15 on an outfit, so the shards are of value to me.
I really wish there was some way to earn more shards via challenges or the like, or the option to trade BP for shards.
The Shrine is a super outdated idea in general. It doesn't seem that practical now that there is a huge amount of characters and perks in the game.
I am a person who buys all DLC but I can't ever see myself using the Shrine for actually buying a perk even if I wasn't. If there is a perk you want. Odds are it will take forever to show up anyways so you might as well just save and BUY the entire character and their 3 perks instead.
A company incentivizing me NOT spending real money. I don't think they've realized they've done this.

Unless I missed something, the shards required were always 2000 and only went to 1500 during anniversary event. That’s never changed so why would it now? What I dont agree with is the reduction from 150k to 100k bloodpoints though. That was bs
If that was the case I think they forgot to reset it for a long time. It was only after the prestige update that it went back to 2,000. I feel like I bought 7-8 times at 1,500.
Either way, it doesn't change my point. The trade off was always immensely unfair. Now it's even more ridiculous. 7 level ups for the highest amount of shards to be traded in for BP that you can ultimately get in...a SINGLE match?
-
@ACleverName4Me said:
Like seriously the only positive change with this is I'm holding onto my shards now to buy cosmetics and DLCs. So it's gonna hurt their pocket
Exactly, I don't wanna put my foot in my mouth here either but it's also dumb on their part because they upped the daily bonus XP recently so getting shards is technically even faster now than it used to be. Watch them revert that...
Get shards faster
MASSIVELY give incentive to NOT use them to get BP by changing the values to be terrible
Rift provides plenty of cosmetics as it is.
What's left? Spend on DLC instead of real money....
I'd gladly blow all my shards on BP if I could.

Circle of healing increases healing speed by 50%, and then penalizes it at 50% too.
(1 + 0.5)(0.5) = 0.75
16 / 0.75 = 21.33
New botany with old selfcare would be exactly the same as what coh is now. 50% bonus to make your healing speed 1.5, then that’s penalized at 50%.
Interesting, so the SC nerf was basically because of the BK buff. Or else there would be zero point in running COH.
-
This ######### is confusing to me to say the least.
I was looking on the wiki and it says COH Boon self heal time is 21.333 seconds. Why? Shouldn't it be 32 seconds like old self care?
ALso, can one of you figure the following just for the heck of it. What would OLD Self Care and NEW Botany SELF healing speed be?
