I suppose Blight himself is on the forums as all of a sudden he appears 3 times in a row after mentioning he was rare.......god....
-
Yeah its funny how I never realized how popular Windows was until tracking this.
To me it always sounded kinda pointless but apparently not.

Stats show you are getting better. By 1000 you should be a solo survivor god.
I just noticed something I found interesting and what are the odds of this.
In 400-500 I was 67-33. In matches 500 to 600? It was exactly the same lmao. I went 67-33 again.
When I set out I expected to maybe be 50 50 at best? I can't see myself going much higher. I'd be shocked if it went up again but then again there was a huge ass losing streak during this last one. So I easily could've done better had that not happened.
Archives kinda influence this negatively too because I become concerned about challenges.
-
One other thing I never mentioned.
Nearly all of the Artists game was played when she first came out. She went from the popular new killer. To rare as hell...
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
600 games as solo survivor? Wow. How many time you spent for this stats, impressive.
I started tracking this in October.
I am also tracking what the most popular killer perks are along with survivor.
Initially, I intended to track my kill rate as well but found it impossible to take it seriously. I can't bring myself to play killer in a try hard type way. Then when I KNOW I've won the match I just keep screwing around to get more points and end up feeling bad and letting people go lol.
-
Lol, you're literally asking for an official way to evade the ban timer. In that world would that option make any sense? It's THERE to prevent the very thing your asking for lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it make sense for the most popular survivor perk to appear more often because there's 4 survivors in a match? this doesn't seem like some argument to claim a perk is busted (which DH is not)
Yes.
Broken down further there was 356 survivors total in the tally. 156 chose deadhard.
So 43.8% of survivors used deadhard. Pretty much meaning it will appear in 9 out of 10 games usually.
-
You've encountered cheaters you didn't notice were cheating I guarantee it.

That’s not true. You could see dh in a match 86% of times, but there are 4 survs. This is the same as say killers kills in 95% or more matches (1,2,3 or 4k), so they deserved a massive nerf
I'm not sure what you mean.
When I tracked survivor perks in 100 matches Deadhard appeared 156 times total. There were 14 matches it wasn't present in. Therefore it was in 86% of matches.
Deadhard was very VERY likely to show up in any match. With about a 50 50 chance of it showing up at least twice.

The main difference I see here between roles is that any perk is basically the same on any survivor, so it's easy to see why some perk's popularity can correlate with how "OP" it currently is. David with a DH or Nea with DH is basically the same thing.
With killer, on the other hand, you should have to go case by case to see what's happening there. Say, if someone faces a lot of Ruin+Undying Blights a day those two perks will climb up that list (and may look like they are top-tier), but maybe when it's not a Blight the player faces those two rarely appear. So maybe that's a powerful combo on that one specific killer.
I think it'd be interesting to see how these numbers apply to each individual killer.
I think whoever does the tracking would eventually see the same perks with the same popularity on each killer with few exceptions.
The top 5 perks are so much more popular than the rest. 30+ uses of those perks separated them from the rest.
There are some perks you would never use on certain killers but those perks are already very unpopular as it is.
I truly didn't see many patterns as to each individual killer. The top perks were popular on everyone

I agree, I did a poll a while back and it was split between people who wouldn’t use BBQ if it didn’t have the bloodpoint bonus and people who would keep using it just for the aura.
ngl if there was a perk that gave me triple BP and removed the aura benefit I'd be using that instead. The grind is a joke a total joke.

16 undying appearances in 200 match is very impressive, wonder what mmr this is
Well I also track my survival rate and last when I hit 500 matches I was escaping 60% of matches. So I know its fairly high. I do end up in a lot of fairly popular streamers games.

Soooo... do we need to nerf BBQ? Rofl.
Nah, I probably wouldn't use BBQ if it didn't have the BP boost. I feel like its popularity would shrink at least 50% of it didn't have it.
With that being said the most popular killer perk appears in 57.5% of matches whereas the most popular survivor perk appeared in 86% of matches. That being Deadhard.
-
I was literally about to make a topic like this.
DEPIPPING SHOULD BE REMOVED ENTIRELY
It's simple boys and girls.
Did you pip? Odds are you had a "decent" team". Did you double pip? Odds are you had a pretty good team.
Did you depip? Almost guaranteed to have either been tunneled from the start OR had an AWFUL team.
Depipping is literally NEVER the result of poor play by ones self. Seriously, it isn't. It's the LACK of opportunity to GAIN points in the emblem system. No more no less.

I've used it which is why I said it was meh. I can get just as much distance or more out of any other exhaustion perk (I typically don't use ANY but if I do, it's Lithe) and yea the extra distance is nice, but the fact that you can't control the activation is what makes it "meh" to me. I'd rather be intentional about my exhaustion perk if I use one at all
Lol that is exactly WHY I like it. Its kinda like a Sprint Burst I get to carry at all times. No dealing with any latency or technical BS like with Lithe or DH.
-
@RakimSockem said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/308395/popular-survivor-perks-from-100-matches
Overcome is probably one of the most meh exhaustion perks. I hate sprint burst and I'd probably run that before running Overcome. I'm not surprised at all that no one is using it. Get smacked and run a couple extra steps at a time out of your control isn't exactly a top tier perk
Try it out you might change your mind. 50/50 killers decide I am not worth chasing when they see me get that massive headstart.

Not fully. Couple it with Flip-Flop; your friend distracts the Killer because you went down at a Pallet, right? Now the Killer can't pick you up right away because Pallet Save.
So your friend kites the Killer, you gain progress towards being picked up. Your friend bails, and the Killer picks YOU up; now you start with progress in the wriggle bar.
Now, the Killer has to take the long way down, or drop, and dropping gives you MORE free progress! Add in some body-blocking and you may just get away!
It makes Flip-Flop useful, and it rewards teamwork and positioning. This is, overall, a good change.
Yeah but it becomes just one less useful solo perk. Needing to combine perks in solo for one goal is fairly annoying.
Example Unbreakable in a team. Amazing perk
Unbreakable solo. Doesn't come into play like 90% of the time....

The next update will make it so Survivors get a % of their current wriggle progress as a bonus if the Killer drops from a height
hmmmm I think the perk is OP but not sure I like that. It makes the fall sound pointless.

NOTES
Not going to bother listing perks that showed up 1 time or less. Maybe in the future, I can do this better and actually include that just for the context.
What I found interesting about this is. Killers simply aren't using many perks at all. Only NINE perks in double digits.
By far the most popular killer build is POP, CORRUPT, SCOURGE PR, BBQ
I was expecting to see Corrupt in 75% of matches. Interesting to me that it isn't as much as I feel like it is. Meanwhile, BBQ showed up in more than half of all matches. The grind is real. I can't bring myself to play killer without BBQ either.
Let me know if this is interesting and I should keep tracking it. I have been tracking survivor escape rates and tomorrow I should post the results of 500 matches. Should I keep tracking the killer perks though?
I have a 200 match one coming in a few days.

1 and a half dead hard average? Uh huh...
That is how many people used it.
It actually would be a lot higher had I only used killer games to track. I was using both survivor and killer games. So some matches only had 3 survivors to gather perks from seeing as how counting my own perks in each match would be dumb.

You're literally playing against another human. They aren't there to lose at your gain.
-
@BubMickey07 said:
How can people have fun using dead hard it's soo boring like I would rather waste it on a dumb perk like lucky Break lol
Yeah I knew it was popular but I had no clue it was THAT popular. It's nearly TWICE as popular as the 3rd most popular perk.
I left out one interesting fact.
In 100 matches there was only 14 matches Deadhard wasn't in. So Deadhard was in 86% of all matches.
-
So then why do you speak like you're a new player.
"This change would especially benefit newcomers to the game so they can easily escape the killer instead of getting hooked and facecamped by a salty killer."
It should be base kit to "easily" escape the killer? lol
-
Why do I have a 60.5% escape rate over 500 matches as a solo survivor then? Seems it would be even higher if I was coordinating with a SWF no?
-
Fire Up needs a rework and here it is.
For 60 seconds after the killer hooks someone they get the FULL effect of Fire Up.
Poof trash perk is now really nice.
-
I want this but they won't do it because crossplay was actually just a gift to PC players.
They know fully well almost everyone would exclude PC players and rightfully so.
-
Yeah, I hadn't gone against it either and then I went against a full blown team that fully understood survivors hold all the power.
Saloon building.
Expo is up. That they put back CONSTANTLY. I broke it 3 times...
They have Unbreakable
THey are in pairs.
They have flashlights.
Each impossible to keep down pair deals with me while the others blow through gens.
I don't even like saying this cause it will promote it.
There was literally nothing I could do. Try to slug the other one? He's up before I can do a damn thing about it. That is if I can mange to get them injured anywhere NOT near a locker.
I was like holy ######### there is literally nothing I can do here to beat them. ZERO matter of skill either it was a totally well ######### can I do about thius situation? As long as I have to be locked int oa blindable position to pick anyone up and the other guy can simply just get himself up within seconds every time. What in the world can be done about it? Nothing.
Expo really is what put the icing on the cake. Buit the locker thing needs to go. That is beyond abuseable
-
@AngyKiller said:
While it should be changed; it won't, because it benefits Survivors.
Best thing to do is bring Lightborn if you see flashlights in the lobby, because they're probably using Cheat With Friends and want to troll with flashlight saves.
I made this after I saw people quickswitch at the end. They were unlike any team I've faced. Always knew to be in range of a locker that is on a corner they can blind me on. I can't believe how effective that is. Broken as hell.
-
So this offends you why exactly?
Because you think people may mistake a fake murderer from a video game as real Korean culture? Super logical

Yeah, I definitely don’t have a problem with Boil Over sometimes getting a save, if it never worked it would be a worthless perk after all.
So far the issues with it seem to be a combo of
- Maps which have bad hook or no hook placement in certain spots like RCPD library. The ultimate solution there probably needs to be placing an extra hook in those spots
- Boil Over might be too sensitive to height dropped. I saw a video or two where it seemed to trigger while just walking down an incline or stairs. It should really only trigger probably when the drop is at least two meters straight down (a little less than a story)
- Boil Over probably shouldn’t trigger more than once per carry. This is exacerbated by the above sensitivity question.
The stagger is impressive and effective but not game breaking so that’s probably ok. The aura hiding to 16 meters is also effective but if a killer is smart they should be watching for nearby hooks before they pick someone up anyway.
I'm almost positive it counts stairs sometimes as a drop.
-
@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2775644#Comment_2775644
I wonder if the aura blocking is causing some of the misses from Boil Over as well? It might be that some killers aren’t seeing a hook aura and assuming they need to go way far away for a hook when there’s actually one nearby that’s not highlighted.
FOr sure. Before it didn't really matter. In 90% of cases you could just make a hook. Now if you have to drop down survivor is at like 40% wiggle in 2-3 seconds and it makes killers panic. Rightfully as it should....

Yeah, I’m not surprised, it seems like a good perk now. 🙂 Plus it’s a flavor of the month. The main question is whether it’ll be a short term fad or part of the long term meta.
I gotta say I don't think it will survive in its current state
I recall them saying they changed balanced because they didn't want to have to balance maps around it. This situation is very similar to that if you ask me. Heck, even the lackluster aura blocking part is now super strong due to the 25% drop because it actually matters now. lol even THAT stat got buffed as well.
Perhaps it needs a cooldown? idk.

16 dived by .83 equals 19.27 if you are healing yourself at 83 percent speed it takes 19.27 seconds
Im half asleep so I am confusing myself but I DO know its 24 seconds not 19. Why that is I am not sure of at the moment. Maybe someone else can break it down.
I actually thought Botany Made it 26 seconds because 83% of 32 seconds would be 26.56. Why it s 24 I am not entirely sure.
-
I love how the merging makes people sound dumb. Here I am like 20th "I thought we were supposed to get shards!"
-
In the past I thought people were harsh on self-care. I get it sometimes you need to be able to heal yourself. However, given how slow it is you have better options these days.
Simply bring a medkit instead if you want to be able to heal. Once Built To Last came out this only made selfcare feel even more pointless. I could bring huge charge medkits and heal myself or whoever needs it and just got it back. Even then I could still see a small benefit
Introduce boon totems? RIP selfcare. Its totally pointless. I simply quit using Built To Last once COH came out because I never under any circumstances run out of charges on my medkit. I just didn't need it anymore.
Even though there is risk involved. All the options top using selfcare. It just takes too long. The bonus on the medkits is like nothing as well. Botany does that better anyways.
I mean hell, even before BTL and Boons simply running Iron Will instead of selfcare was more efficient. Lose the killer in one chase and you basically saved a healthstate and wasted the killers time instead of the other way around.
-
I love the toggle option. On a controller I already feel its easier to hit greats because of it.
-
I thought we were supposed to get 6,000 Iri shards when the masks get deleted?

Learn to mindgame and peel away from loops. Skill issue.
How to beat Blight. Genrush. Or play a bad blight. If you're playing a Blight who is having trouble pointing and clicking then going 230% your speed into a super generous lunge. You may be playing a bad Blight.
"mind game" a killer who can essentially make any turn possible and tag you with a hit. Has the biggest lunge in the game. Gets 4 chances to correct their movement. Is also moving about 2 and a half times as quickly as the survivor. If Blight handled the way he does on PC on a console he would be nerfed into oblivion. Just like Nurse it is console players dragging his stats down.
Play console Blight. Watch person accidentally rush into the same wall 3 times in a row.
Play PC Blight. Watch guy bounce off of the outside of the killer shack do a huge circle around it enter the door and tag you with a huge lunge just as you're about to exit the other side.
-
@Tekno_Badger said:
Please stop. Blight is strong but incredibly difficult. I suggest you learn how to loop him
You mean genrush and bring Deadhard into every SINGLE match?

What irks me to no end is when some people who use it say.
wELL why ArEnt I bAnnEd? Is It LIstEd As AgAInst thE rULz? thEn It Isn't chEAtIng
Sounds like an honorable person you would want in your life. Someone who will use ridiculous technicalities to cheat. Even though by BHVRS own reporting system it SHOULD technically be against the rules. I sure consider it an "exploit" to gain an advantage. They're exploiting the system to gain an advantage. IDK how its NOT considered against the rules blatantly.
Reminds me of when Tinkerer tier 2 was bugged to give killers zero TR the entire game. Of course when you run into tons of people using this they are knowingly being scum and "cheating" by using it. Yet since it doesn't TECHNICALLY fall into the lines of cheating they somehow felt they weren't cheating....even though they are and it also TECHNICALLY does fall into the lines of cheating at the same time. It's all a mess. Thankfully e at least have the killswitch now.
-
I know but I saw it after.
The more the merrier on this. If its really that easy to fix the fact they haven't is ridiculous. I am tired of not playing games on a fair playing field. Is that seriously too much to ask?
I've been spending money on this game for 4 plus years now. Just want it to be fair. That too much to ask?
-
Its his ability to turn and how quickly he gains access to his full power that makes him a problem.
A good Blight should pretty much never be going on long chases.
He is my most hated killer honestly. Oh, I made the right read and made evaded your bounce 3 times? OH look you still get me and OH look again you got your whole power back in half a second.
