People are genuinely not having fun anymore while playing because they only look to win. They will have the most boring, repetitive games if it means an escape/4K. Play for fun. If winning is fun, then let having fun be winning. You don't need to play every game like it's a cash cup, because that only makes it more frustrating when you lose. If you no longer get any enjoyment from playing, stop. It's that simple.

The problem with this is that, if your Survivor MMR gets too low, solo queue becomes frustrating because your teammates go down in 10 seconds. And if your Killer MMR gets too high, you get uninteractive matches that aren't really fun to be in.

You say to simply play the game to have fun, but DBD does not have much else to do in it besides... win. No alternative modes besides changing roles... other than sweat for archives challenges for something to do, that is. And you can't play the game if your MMR is too high or low, depending on role. Which is a big problem.

the thing with hag, is that very few people play her.

so most of the people you see, are just doing a daily.

a hag that knows what she's doing, is easily S tier. Coordinated SWF teams being the thing that puts her down to A tier.

S tier implies she's as good as Nurse. And I am sorry, but she isn't. She's been subjected to power creep.

I agree with the rest though, nobody plays her and everyone is just doing a daily, but they don't play her for good reason. It's why you see every other Killer that was free... except Hag.

Yeah few people are like you. Few look for traps and purposely set them off.

This is interesting, because I run into this repeatedly whenever I play Hag. Survivors watch my traps because I can't afford to move from gens because I'm a slow M1 Killer who can't place traps further from gens.

I just... mimic what they do against Hag, and it works. Almost 100% of the time.

  • Can't let this die, this is too good of a idea to just give up on without considering it imo.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Dude is just for a few days and its not only for survivors.

Don't blame the devs if they don't listen the killers when they cry like you for no reason. If you don't want, stop playing until the event is over. The event will be better.

    Smh.

Are you sure? If more Killers stop playing, the queue times are going to shoot up further.

I personally think it could put DBD in hot water giving how the game looks GOOD, it's nostalgic, it looks well polished and most of all it WORKS if your game can't even do that then congratulations your game is BROKEN.

but enough about my opinion what's yours?

This keeps happening every single time an asym game is released... people thought the same thing about Home Sweet Home Survive, look how that turned out.

It's not impossible, but it's going to take a lot in order to pull this off.

  • It's not a fix but there are several killers who can do something. Huntress can do her hatchet into M1 combo, nemesis tentacle actually bypasses snowman to apply contaminated... try using some Killer powers on Survs in snowman, there's more counters than you might think.

    Play trickster

The snowman doesn't pop untill the laceration bar is full and it still damages the survivors

Interesting thing about this, that doesn't match my experience, since a Survivor didn't lose a health state, just the snowman.

    SAME!

As I said earlier, I have been trying to hit rank 1 survivor before the reset. I escaped 4 times in a row, got put against 2x afk killers ( freddy , pig ) in a row after that which makes no sense. Then after that I am put with some seriously silly teammates.

I think its proving killers are leaving. It seems in those matches I posted like it was just looking for ANY killer to put them with.

I've definitely noticed that queue times are back to what it was before crossplay on console DBD: Long Survivor queue times, shorter Killer queue times. It's like the community either moved to Survivor or left the game as people said.

It's not just the performance, it's all the bugs too.

Behavior needs to address this game's ######### spaghetti code before things get even worse. Every update, the game gets more unstable.

Honestly, they'd probably fix it to the bare minimum and then leave it again. DBD needs a competitor asap.

  • @Mazoobi said:

Lately, I've been trying perks that you'll rarely ever see from iridescent graded survivors so I decided to run self-preservation and I quickly realized how good it can actually be given the right scenario.

I'm the survivor that's 90% likely to be tunneled and my SWF knows that which is why DS is my favorite perk and I always run it, but self-preservation has been helping me too.

Although its concept promotes a "selfish" or "lone-wolf" playstyle, it ironically can be a good altruistic perk. Whenever the killer decides to target me till I die, my friends would try to block their path to force a protection hit and that would allow me to run for 10 seconds without leaving any evidence. This has helped me so many times already and it would usually be the deciding factor whether I continue to live or not.

I just don't get why I always have to be the target. I've had some killers DC or just went AFK once that single use of self-preservation kicked in or even those who insist on finding me, this perk was a real nuisance for them. Self-preservation has literally become one of my guardian angels. Right behind DS of course.

I mean, SWF, but I've noticed the same. I thought it was a bad perk until I started using it for a challenge. It triggered a lot for me, surprisingly, which made me begin to think that is it better than I expected when I remembered what the perk grants if it activates.

It might not be as bad as people think. Could stand to be meta because the current meta is getting a Survivor out of the game asap. This perk might undo those efforts completely and be what helps win games.

Goddamn, how is this thread still going? It's embarrassing that the biggest thread ever on the forums has still not been properly addressed.

Behavior really needs to just stop giving us their trademark "we're looking into it" response and actually start fixing this issue.

Because "we'll look into it" is a PR move. They're not going to because they have and know it's a rabbit hole of issues. Poor coding amongst many other things.

The reason for the lag is something that would require a gigantic code rewrite. Something that BHVR isn't willing to do, because their coding team isn't that big, I'm assuming.

Then enlighten us. Saying "She can be looped" without elaborating does not solve anything.

Make her blow her crows via ranged Killer mindgames. Bait them out, repel if you get hit while transitioning between loops (not the same as shift + w, which is about making as much distance as possible), she has a cooldown after activating her crows, around the same length as Huntress.

If one thinks that Artist is unloopable... what do they think of Nemesis, Pyramid Head and the others? Are they unloopable as well because they have a chase power?

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

The twins at their best are a slugging machine which is worse than getting camped, which is why bubba is not as hated. That is why a lot of people don't like them. And a lot of people usually won't play what they don't like tbh.

People typically played Freddy though, before his rework was nerfed in recent months. Very low skill, high rewards killer which was great for casuals. Hated but was frequent to see.

Twins is bad because they aren't casual friendly and have a single boring playstyle, and aren't controller friendly like Freddy.

I'm already burnt-out on oh there's the killer w all they way across map that's the whole game with artist hold w hit m1 30 seconds later im so glad I didn't spend money on such a poorly designed killer.

Not quite, she has sniping capabilities and does have ranged potential. She doesn't suck but she's yet another killer who can't counter shift + w, which needs to be a thing with the next 1v1 killer. Or they need to have 4v1 like Pinhead.

Was going to record some clips but honestly I'm ready to give up at this point and cut my losses.

There have always been performance issues hence the creation of this thread; but even if we just look at the state of the game since Nemesis, its been in a terrible state and despite this thread and all the clips they say are really helping - there just hasn't been much of any improvement in performance in that insanely long amount of time.

I don't see how the clips are helping when any QA there could boot up a console and see them first hand instantly; its not a case of trying to recreate them, there are no matches that do not suffer in varying degrees of severity. I honestly feel its just a way to garner 'engagement' and seem like something is being done; actions speak louder than words and I just don't see any results of any significance despite all the work put in by the team and us sharing all these clips\feedback.

I was expecting very little but at least some sort of improvement to keep me on the hook longer still, but every patch I get my hopes up only to have them dashed and the game just feel broken in a similar way or have new issues as well.

Sorry for the emotional post but I think I'm just done, even though I really don't want to be. I just can't keep feeling so sad watching everyone else enjoying the cool new content while I'm stuck with the same issues on all the content.

If it says anything I have been playing since PS4 launch when Huntress was free DLC and the latest killer, with only a break during the disastrous year Twins came out. I am actually not playing the game atm and am instead sitting in a queue of 5k-10k players trying to get into FF14, that's what I'd rather be spending my time doing as at least I know I will get in at some point and it will work when I am playing.

I haven't even played against the new killer yet as every game has just been the same old Leatherface, Blight and occasional Nurse. I am sitting on 30k+ Shards so could buy the new content right now but was rather hoping the game would be improved in a noticeable way and I could justify spending my money to buy the whole DLC package and get the extra stuff with that; but theres just no point spending cash or shards etc if the basic game still runs so poorly.

It plays like its a buggy little indie game still despite all the time, success and money :(

Ironically enough, regarding FF14, it was a game that was considered bad on release but has been worked on by the devs to become so popular.

It ends up showing that legendarily bad games could make these kinds of insane comebacks. (And yes, I know it's Final Fantasy, that it took years, and the devs are SE, they have money and popularity to withstand things, but STILL)

I agree just tunneling someone off the hook shows you have no skill. It’s effective but it’s boring and not fun for either side.

It shows you have game sense if you're going against a strong looper team who does the objectives quickly.

In the current meta, you can't let someone go to reset and give them another chance, you need someone out of the game asap or unable to do gens. That, and gen defense perks. Since even average Survivors can churn out gens fairly efficiently now. Last I checked, the pros tunnel now, but I could be wrong since I don't watch them as frequently as I used to.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

When playing survivor and being camped, can there be one specific signal to show other SoloQ there is a camper nearby. Or rather, can we agree on an action. For example, do we do quick arm actions, or longer hook escape actions which don't actually escape but can be seen as a warning sign?

I feel these get muddled up, but perhaps by agreeing on a single action may help. I understand a lot of people aren't going to necessarily read this, but is there an action you prefer to use to warn others?

Or we could just run Kindred, since that is a god tier solo queue perk that buffs solo to the same extent as SWF, basically.

Had 10k iri shards so I used em to buy Mikaela and grinded out the boon totem teachables in a night. Now, I don't know what MMR I'm at, so I'm not going to pretend I'm high or low or whatever. All my experience comes from whatever matches I played.

With that said, Holy moly these perks really are ridiculous. I don't know why you'd really want to run any of the other healing perks over COH alone. You hardly ever need a medkit with this perk, but it's ok because seal heal rate is absurd if you do bring one anyways.

Shadow Step has gotten me out of so many chases and let me hide from several Artists running BBQ and Chili. Its way more effective on indoor maps but has still saved me plenty of times on outdoor maps allowing me to trick and hide from a Killer that would otherwise be breathing down my neck.

I just slam out a gen ASAP, let detective's hunch guide me to a nearby totem and bless it and *usually* the Killer rarely ever goes over there and snuffs it out. Even if they do snuff it, it feels pretty inconsequential, especially if I'm playing with friends. 14 seconds isn't that long and the utility the perks offer more than makes up for lack of gen time. I suppose against top level blight and nurse the 14 seconds matter but against the average killer it's pretty whatever if your Boon gets snuffed.

24m is also deceptively large. I played a game on Eeyrie of Crows which, afaik, is a pretty large map. Two other teammates also had boons and we were effectively able to cover about half the map in Boon circles.

    Perks are crazy strong!

Just as a note that TC was running perks to help them find totems faster + the ideal dull ones so the Killer wouldn't find them. Plus the last bit requires multiple people finding dull totems...

Idk, I'm tired and I don't exactly want this to be another "boon = bad" thread that ignores some of the things that led up to this while I sleep.

Obviously they wanted them to be useful. You cannot release a Solo Survivor Paragraph and use the same 3 ######### Perks like they normally do for Survivors. Aside from Mettle of Man, Survivors would not need to do a single Bloodweb for years, since no Perks were really good.

But Boons changed that and it is a good thing. You want things that actually make Survivors change their build. It would have been really bad if they would released Boons as a new Mechanic, create a Survivor in a Survivor-only Paragraph for it and then they just suck.

Personally, they can nerf them into the ground, I dont care, because I dont play Boons. And probably never will. But for the Meta itself it is good that they exist.

I had thought everything being so OP for once was because of people leaving BHVR, allowing for fresh blood to shake up the meta. I hope these trends continue personally, we got some updates that the community really wanted, new OP stuff to shake up the boring, boring meta with no balance teams to listen to the forums whining about new things that they have to learn to deal with... things are great right now.

  • @DBD_Pinhead said:

Seeing as they'll NEVER fix hex totems, they decide to give survs yet another broken perk to abuse. Why can't killers rebuild their totems when they only have 4 perks vs. 16? Oh wait, they hate half their base. Why keep totem spawns so obviously surv sided? Oh yeah, hating the base. No wonder killers are dropping like flies the real agent of the Entity are the meat skins riding multiple broken systems...

It's fully possible that the devs just wanted to shake up the meta, or make sure Boons are note-worthy.

Which they should be, since this was a brand new mechanic.

They aren't even a failed concept tho, how are they a failed concept? If they just let you switch during fatigues to remove all the waiting, it would not only encourage hooking instead of slugging, but make them feel way better as well.

Genuinely curious why you think they should be deleted because they are pretty unique and not completely oppressive compared to other killers

I had a concept to make Twins more like Dream Witch from Identity V, and switching during fatigues would be a part of it.

No, they did post an argument. It's niche at best as they said, only lasts for a few seconds, requires that she knows you're in a locker, and tracking doesn't mean as much compared to getting downs. Legion's tracking is there and yet it shows that it doesn't make a Killer good.

The last time we got official stats on player population, 4-player SWF constituted 5%. While that is admittedly 2 years ago, we have no reason to assume it has changed significantly, and that is the only objective evidence we have.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UAAA5C067BRY/grafik.png

Of course, at high MMR 4-player SWFs could make for a larger chunk of the population, but I think it's highly unlikely to be more than 10% even there. I certainly don't see 4-SWFs all the time in my killer games.

As a by the way: The stats actually showed that the survival rate of 4-player SWFs was not notably higher than the global average survival rate. That doesn't mean SWF isn't a problem, I absolutely think it is and want there to be perk and item/add-on restrictions in place for SWF, but it does go to show that not every 4-SWF is a death sweat squad.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/P2K7M37UHFAL/grafik.png

Wasn't there also a more recent version of this as well that showed it was around the same as two years ago? In the same year that the devs posted that statistic of the most popular killer and survivor perks, I think.

I've been told that it would be too OP on strong killers, but I don't buy that. It always felt to me like they were talking some Magical Christmasland scenarios where all your dreams come true.

Cruel Confinement or whatever it's called now was actually nerfed when going live because they feared Doctor using it. This forums also complained about LB and how it's absolutely broken if you dedicate two perk slots to it.

People care about extreme scenarios to justify sweeping changes. It's how this forums work, and unless they start getting ignored, we will always have overtuned perks.

  • The biggest concern would then immediately be stream sniping. TTVs don't like it when they can't advertise their channel without getting singled out for it.

Not to mention that salty killers would then be an issue, since running into the same killer might result in them making you the obsession if you were too much of a star player in your last game with them or made them angry. (Which would actually make sense from a lore standpoint and fit with the "Killer obsession" thing, since you're technically obsessing over the player by making them the obsession but I doubt the DBD community will see it that way)

I forgot to add, but against good swf and genrush overall, every killer is "bad" even nurse or spirit or blight or artist.

The fact that she is so high on tier is really her power on loops. Map pressure with crows. Even tho as M1 killer.

Let me put it like this.

She's the best M1 killer without fast map travel out there atm

The devs didn't even intentionally plan for Artist to be able to truly snipe people on gens, did they? Hit them with swarms from afar, maybe, for the purpose of revealing Survivors... but not set up a swarm into damage chain, right?

  • @Mandy said:

You also have to consider that we take feedback from many areas, not just forums. And feedback in general is very varied - whilst some players are unhappy about something, others are happy with it. It's just that the negatives often shout louder than the positives, which happens in all parts of feedback.

We make regular reports with regards to feedback that we receive and a lot of this is acted upon. The issues with The Artist in the PTB for example, with the changes made before she was released to the Live build.

Out of curiosity, if feedback is being listened to, passed on and acted on, what is being done about the hacker problem on DBD and what is being done about console optimization? There is a new cheat program running around that has not been dealt with, and the problems regarding console have not been truly addressed for years, despite many, many complaints and popular topics from users like @Pulsar .

2nd day in, I'm for sure starting to agree. Most of the time it feels like you can't do anything against it.

I wanted this to be a case of learning to play against it, but it's truly just starting to feel rage inducing to face.

From what I'm seeing, shift + w and simply treating her like a ranged killer at loops (baiting crows for starters) can work.

This really is just "new killer, can't adapt, nerf now" at work.

On a side note, if her 1v1 gets nerfed, she needs a secondary ability or buff. She is almost solely anti-loop with her most unique mechanic being able to snipe people (which I sincerely doubt was intended by the devs, it's super great and fun but the DBD devs surely didn't plan for her to be able to do that). Sniping needs to be easier or she needs another ability.

I definitely won't buy this killer if they nerf her with nothing substantial in return. Quite sick of 1v1 killers with nothing else to them, it makes their powers shallow and one-note, something that is quite typical amongst the DBD devs.

    Like which killers?

From what I can think of:

    • Hag = a team with a decent amount of sense will harass her traps and know not to go down near basement, really starving her of any pressure
    • Oni, Plague = can easily be made into an m1 only killer as survivors have to give him his power / starve you of your pressure by hyper cleansing
    • Hillbilly = his power is too high maintenance to manage and takes too much time to try and mind game at the lot of loops in this game

I forgot about some killers, but I can't think of anyone else except Twins who are stronger than Artist on average. The thing about The Artist is that you can't starve her of her power nor can you really counterplay it very easily compared to some of the killers I listed above

Yeah, thing is, the same mindgames that are done on ranged killers can work on her power. Bait the power then vault. Or shift + w.

It's the strangest thing, the same mindgames done on ranged killers work on Artist, just bait her power and then vault or drop the pallet. Or shift + w if you don't want to outplay her.

God - Survivors would need to be more or less exposed to make that worth it.

Kinda, yeah. Aura reading is not enough, we've seen with Legion that what matters most is downing, since that's what stops gens. Tracking and injuring is fine and all, but that's not what wins games.

And now with boons? Old Freddy is unthinkable lmao He'd be destroyed harder than ever.

I assume someone will come in with "Overcharge on Freddy", the only issue is that this is reliant on Survivors intentionally missing the check because they don't want to be asleep. If the Survivors decide to remain asleep, you get nothing from it.

And even if you take advantage of aura reading to always know when to come back, old Freddy would be reliant on 3 gens, and even 3 genning becomes extremely difficult if all 4 Survivors are alive. Which is likely to happen with the MMR system in place.

Not to mention that 3 genning is uninteractive for both sides, and if the Survivors make sure that 3 gen never happens, it's GG for Freddy. Freddy would need NOED and basically every endgame perk to make a comeback. And because of Dream Transition, Survivors could still for BT saves, even if you sleeped a Survivor before they even got close to the hook.

I played as old Freddy. I remember how my games would go, and I watched videos. It's best for every side that old Freddy NEVER returns.

EDIT: If you'd like, I can try to find some actual matches. That video is edited and I'm sure someone will call that out, but full matches of old Freddy can be found with some deep digging on Tru3's channel.

What abilities did he even have to mean there was a section of the game where you were immune to him?

Yup. Freddy straight up could not attack Survivors, they had to be asleep for him to touch them. Waking up was fairly easy and there wasn't too much risk to not waking up aside from getting aura revealed when outside of his TR.

Meaning that you needed to make a Survivor enter the Dream Transition, then after several seconds, THEN they can be hit. This was a massive problem for several reasons, namely that Freddy could be heard via lullaby so they could start running, and the Dream Transition consistently let Survivors run to loops without any kind of fear.

Freddy's sole power? Pulling people into Dream World. He couldn't do anything else with his R2. He was almost a pure M1 Killer. Worst Killer in the game by far.

I dont really have an opinion on old freddy, was wondering what everyone else was thinking, as I joined this game during year 5 anniversary.

Most of the complaints about old Freddy vanished with the rework, and Freddy was no longer considered the worst Killer in the game. He was F tier, F for Freddy.

    https://youtu.be/7eZcTxy4YHA

I'd have to look for Tru3 videos where Survivors know how to destroy old Freddy. But even without the specific "good Survivors vs old Freddy" videos, it is extremely easy to destroy Freddy even in solo queue. Just don't respect sleep. He's an M1 Killer in practice. Loop him like any other Killer and you're fine.

People on the forums, typically people with high post counts, have forgotten why old Freddy was bad.

    Here

Pull survivors into the Dream World

-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.

-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.

-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.

-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.

-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.

    Once in the Dream World:

-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.

-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.

-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.

-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.

    -Hooked Survivors wake up.

    Special Ability: Dream Projection

-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.

-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.

“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger

Of course credit where its due - https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/profile/GeneralV

So, basically, GeneralV wants old Freddy gameplay back.

Does Freddy have to go through the entire process of pulling people back in to hit them? Because that was a disaster, which can be easily proven.

Are you talking this certain someone on the forums?

If so than that leaves out everyone but 1 guy

I'm trying to avoid name and shame, but yes it's them. I'm more than confident they're the source of wanting old Freddy back. Even though I've already shut them down, they still continue.

I have to count on the devs ignoring the forums on this one. Because I've brought up the same problems to them, and they don't care.

What do you think about the rest of what I wrote?

EDIT: Heck, they might still consider this name and shame as it is. Honestly, this is inescapable, the source of this is obvious and addressing this should be important.

Devs said definitively this would never happen and for good reason.

Good riddance. I (and I think most people that were present for Freddy V1.0) am glad such foolish cries will only ever fall on deaf ears.

This. A certain someone has gone around convincing everyone that a boring slowdown killer with no chase potential who needed 20 minute games to win was better than what we have now.

Their only big point is old Freddy being "unique". Well, they were unfun to go against and not fun to play as for the majority.

I can pull up videos of old Freddy since I think people have forgotten, I know exactly where they are. Tru3 and Noob3 both did videos on them. Tru3's entire matches highlighted everything in particular. M1 Killers are not fun to play as, which is what Freddy was but worse for both sides.

Freddy being gone is good. If you want Freddy gameplay so badly, make a new Killer with the same gameplay but better to play as and against.

He was never fun to play against before or after his change and the only thing the tubby toad is good for is camping and nothing else. I have played against SEVEN Leatherfaces today and not a single one left their first hook, even at 5 gens. Leatherface is a massive problem and even now with Circle of Healing camping has become much more prevalent.

The devs are always saying "iT'S a VaLiD sTrAtEgY". Well tell me devs, is this your "Valid strategy" that you had in mind!?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxTj1U1lRK4

This was my first hook by the way. AT FOUR GENS

"Tubby toad" is the most hilarious thing I've heard in a while, thanks for the laugh TC.

Anyways, at what MMR are you at? I haven't gone up against a single Bubba today, thankfully, and I have... um... medium MMR.

I don't understand why the recoil is there. I get it, he's throwing multiple projectiles at a time unlike Huntress and Deathslinger, but he's not firing a machine gun. Why can't he just look forward and not deviate, like a normal knife throwing guy would? It makes no sense gameplay-wise.

This is the one buff that I really wanted for Trickster. Recoil affects nobody but console players, PC problems can do certain movements with their mouse to make sure their aim is almost always steady. It's stupid.

Have fun doing a chase in Hawkins as console Trickster btw when you can't adjust your aim quickly enough because you're using a stick to aim instead of a mouse. You're never going to land enough knives in time because of the LOS breakers + turns AND the struggle to hit the knives quickly enough. Had this happen today and, for the first time in a long while, DC'd against a team because I was a 1v1 killer who couldn't use their power. I got frustrated in messages, and got told to "not camp as much" (bruh)... I didn't handle it well but it was one of the worst games I've had in DBD in a while.

Just allow yourself to not care for the current rift, and don't play.

Even if there are skins you like in the rift, they'll probably be available on the store at some point anyway cause BHVR like money

The thing is... the charms and FOMO are still a thing.

  • @Sakurra said:

Oh wait. You are not even doing this. My bad. Nice job so far.

Just as a reminder that there is a streamer who has recorded themselves visibly hacking as both Survivor and Killer, and they still have not been banned. "Devs Don't Care" I think it was called?

8 hour stream, I've even heard of a 12 hour stream from them. You'd never expect it to be true, but those words are 110% accurate. The devs... don't care.

  • Alright. But that's going to require solo Survivors be buffed up to SWF levels of power so Killers can be buffed accordingly.

Which is going to require a huge amount of work, and I don't think BHVR is willing to sit down and do that.

If I being honest I can't take most people seriously on this forum when they suggest things for balance. I'm sorry to be rude but some ideas are just so terrible that I glad the devs don't listen to the community when it comes to feedback sometimes. It just seems like the majority of people on here don't want the game to be balanced they just want to make one side completely terrible and the game uneven.

Maybe I'm just being ridiculous myself but do people here even want balance for both sides?

Majority of people in this community do not actually want balance in practice or don't know what they're talking about.

Even in this topic, there's people that go "I mean, yeah" without realizing that they might be the subject being mentioned.

My best guess is that they changed the perks to not be affiliated with Stranger Things to accommodate newer players and to make things less complicated. If they kept the name or the same icon I assume they'd then have to make a duplicate of 9 perks for newer players who don't have the DLC. And in that case they'd have to stop players who already bought stranger things from being able to earn the new perks and it'd all get a bit messy.

So the easiest thing to do was to rework the original perks so everyone has the same perks - no duplicates, no issues surrounding who can earn what perk. But as I said I'm just guessing.

... Um... that's already the case.

People who have the DLC had the names changed like everyone else, but the descriptions and icon are the same. The Stranger Things quotes are still there, unless this will change on the 17th.

EDIT: But, to contribute, maybe the names were changed universally so everyone will use the new names and the new players will understand instead of being confused.
