Problem: Some killers (namely, a certain Texan with a chainsaw) are far too effective at camping survivors to death 100 to 0 for the two full minutes the survivor in on the hook. Due to increased gen times and perks like Deadlock and No Way Out, this strategy is very effective at getting multiple kills despite requiring very little effort. Solution: The duration of each hook stage is double1 comments 41 views last activity

I usually play both killer and survivors, but for the past month or so I've been just playing survivor, because that's what I've been wanting to play. My dailies for the last week have been killer dailies only. Every day I remove a killer daily and it gets replaced by another killer daily. So I've been getting no dailiy ritual rewards for the past week. There are many people who are either0 comments 11 views last activity

Clickbait-y title out of the way, it does hold a kernel of truth: The game can already tell a lot of things: Where someone (killer or survivor) is in relation to a hooked survivor, who gets hit after unhooking, who's in a chase, who's downed, etc While there are cases where slugging etc can be legitimate, overall they are obnoxious and do drive enough (potentially paying) people away from0 comments 31 views last activity

Option 1. Nurse has anchored in her basekit that she has no aura reading ability and her attacks are real special attacks (like Legion used to do with Sloppy Butcher when he still had basic attack in his ability), then addon changes change the addons that are usless and weaken those that are too strong (range and recharge addons). This is a discussion I’ve been wanting to make for a long time. I’ve been thinking of ideas of how to fix a annoying problem and kind of fix the meta with some perks. I know this issue isn’t has big as Camping or tunneling but it’s still a big issue. The rework I’ve come up with will not only fix a core issue with the game but will eliminate crutch perks for slugging and fix the meta not all the18 comments 281 views last activity

Reading through the announcement it comes across like they had to implement a base-kit UB due to the mori changes. Combatting slugging as a tactic is just a secondary effect. What I don’t understand though is why the whole “last standing” element is so unnecessarily complicated. Literally just activate it when all other survivors are dead or have escaped and only one remains. The fact it activa5 comments 161 views last activity

Double all the numbers. Simple, 90 sec base recovery brought to 45 with unbreakable, enough to counter 4 man slugging, but short enough that you can still chase another survivor and get a hit or a down, reasonably expecting to go back and pick up the one you downed. It's not perfect, and having it built in at all is still going to really hurt killers ability to pressure swf groups, ide0 comments 61 views last activity

Rather than change the mechanic do drastically, would it be better to just have it only kick in during the "only one is up" Last Standing phase? Have perks like Unbreakable and so on work as normal, then change to their new effects while Last Standing is active?3 comments 71 views last activity

Continuing a series of threads looking at the least popular perks based on the Nightlight aggregate data, we come to The Twins perk Hoarder (0.38% usage) Hoarder - Survivors reveal their location when they interact with a chest or when they pick up an item within 32/48/64 meters of your location. The trial begins with up to 2 additional chests in the environment. Hoarder is a little unus5 comments 101 views last activity

About 1 minute after entering the map, the game window suddenly closed without warning, and there was no error message. I don't know why. Running the game again seems to be working fine, but this is the second time in two days that this has happened.0 comments 11 views last activity

Pretty simple concept, a killer perk which automatically closes or removes the Hatch, either starting Endgame Collapse and powered Exit gates as soon as the Hatch would spawn, or just simply removes it from the equation. This would give killers an alternative to slugging for the 4k and overall improve the gameflow. It would not be wise imo, to let it spawn the hatch closed with a cooldown timer0 comments 21 views last activity

Even if live update wouldn't come soon, killers will see mori animations frequently if they played well. Why not make survivors also have same thing to make them feel interested and rewarded? If only when all of them escape, I think people will do more artruistic teamplays in solo survivor. And killer's result 'The Entity Hungers..' should also be changed to something like Killed when they get5 comments 81 views last activity

This killer is genuinely fun to play and play against (GIVEN that he is not using any of his ridiculously OP add ons). A killer with an already strong, skill expressive, and fun power did not need this many busted add ons! When I face a blight that's running something like compound 21/blighted crow/rat, I'm like damn, this is really fun! I am so very tired of The Oni roaring at me or The Mastermind throwing his tentacle at the screen or any of the other various little animations that play with the Killer on the screen. It's not so bad on most of the screens but I spend so much time on the Bloodweb that I get these annoying animations over, and over, and OVER, AND OVER again it is very annoying. With the coming of the new update, one of the killer's strongest weapons, slugging, will die. Many will tunnel more than before, others will still try to play fair. Obviously both sides play to win (I don't mean the SoloQer trying to complete the challenge to open 6 chests) I'm obviously talking about people who accomplish their objectives. Is how cosmetics work. You get a set, and then you can mix 'n' match different outfits. I don't know why, but this is just so appealing. It's especially cool on licensed survivors with outfits from their original source, where you can mix and match those as you please. It's just a really nice feature, and I like how it allows players to customise their characters more, and add more diversity to10 comments 181 views last activity

Currently, there is a strat where a survivor with the boil perk will simply run to a safe zone and stand there until downed (no loop attempts). This usually a 2nd or 3rd floor. These areas never have hooks. The issue for the killer is that it is literally impossible to reach a hook from these areas, so the survivor is completely safe from ever getting hooked. Per your Finishing Mori blogpost: The ability to Mori Survivors has been removed from Rancor and Hex: Devour Hope, as this is now part of the base kit. Hex: Devour Hope: Once 5 tokens have been earned, any Survivor placed on a hook is instantly sacrificed. This system, while I understand the idea, feels to me a lot worse than the current system. Rather then just downing the last survivor and triggering the Mori, i think it should work like how Moris do right now, you hold the meter, and then it teleports you and does the mori, however, if you make the decision to pick up the survivor, you lose the ability to perform the finisher mori I like being able to drag a survivor to the Hatch, and i would like to be able to continue doing that6 comments 81 views last activity

Everything else in the developer update aside, the new Unbreakable perk being potentially usable 10 times per game with a self-recovery time of 22.5s each time is absolutely unhealthy. The posted developer notes do not mention anything of a limit on the number of times it can be used or if the speed boost vanishes after the first self-pickup or so on. On live, even after the self-pickup is used,0 comments 31 views last activity

So about a year and a half ago I made this thread ( https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241116/your-chat-filter-really-sucks/p1 )that your chat filter SUCKS. Of course you moved it to the pits of Feedback and Suggestions, and then proceeded to ignore it completely although it seemed almost no one disagree that the chat filter SUCKS and it needs to be either disabled or toggleable.20 comments 416 views last activity

Ever since the 6.1.0 massive update, the Demogorgon's power became weak. What used to be a pretty decent yet balanced killer, just became an "ok" killer that isn't as threatening as, say, The Dredge or even Pyramid Head, who should be on the same level. Pallet breaking (breakable walls included) got buffed by 10% on every killer, which lowered the break time to 2.34 seconds, and the Demogorgon's9 comments 321 views last activity

They should add a new status, similar to knockout, but without anoying V/SFXs which prevents survivors from moving and recovering on their own for a least a minute. And give this properties to Victor pounce and Oni's club. Also, while we here, knock out should apply same effect, but with basic attack.4 comments 61 views last activity

I understand u don’t want survivors op I’m a survivor main and I don’t want that I just want you guys to hear me out on this so if they added a pistol it would not make survivors op if they do it like this the pistol is a epic item that’s 5000 blood points and you only get a full clip 8 bullets u can only shoot the gun 1 bullet at a time then it has a 60 second cool down and if u land one it only2 comments 31 views last activity

As a main survivor, I hate when a sweaty killer slugged me just for the 4K, but honestly, slugging is not that common like camping and tunneling, the real problem, I mean, with this new changes killers probably are gonna tunnel even more now they know survivors can pick up themselves until they bleed out but imagine this situation where a player get down in a pallet and another teammate is close0 comments 21 views last activity

BEhaviour has been making a lot of amazing changes recently and that's coming from someone who's been very critical of how the devs ignored the many issues plaguing DBD. The changes to the Progression system were great, the bloodweb isn't very costly and very rare add-ons are actually rare now. The ability unlock perks for all other killers at Prestige 3 feels very rewarding. Some strong0 comments 101 views last activity

So let me first say that the main reason it looks like these changes have been done is to address a very common survivor complaint (Being bled out) (Slugging for the 4k), however in doing so they have created a system that can prematuely end a game on the spot for all the survivors. While on paper, this seems okay - slugging everyone to death is now basically impossible, I feel we are now losin11 comments 251 views last activity

Both of those perks are iconic through their use of Moris. We get that the Moris are getting a rework, but just like Mettle of Man is not Mettle of Man when harmonized with the Endurance mechanic, those perks are not themselves without their eventual Mori. if survivors can pick themselves up after 45 - 15 seconds (based on perks) then i feel the bleedout timer no longer has any reason to be 4 minutes long. survivors already have so many ways to say "you can't pick me up". sabotaged hooks, decisive strike and flashlights can do a lot to prevent a killer from picking up. if, now, survivors can only lose 45 seconds of bleedout at a time, then i'd sug1 comments 61 views last activity

Currently if a survivor or two is dead and there is an area of the map without any available hooks, a survivor can take advantage of this and run to this area to avoid a hook. The killer can counter this by bleeding them out for 4 minutes. It’s not fun, but it’s the only option they have in that scenario. However, with survivors gaining the ability to fully recover on their own, this will no lon8 comments 101 views last activity

I am not going to lie playing on the new RPD map was quite literally infuriating. My first round in to the update and I literally want to delete the game. I've been a huge fan of Silent Hill since I was a kid, so when Dead By Daylight announced a Silent Hill collaboration with Heather (Cheryl) as the Survivor, I bought the game right away... But sadly, the head model for Cheryl is... Lackluster... Now, the model isn't BAD, not at all, actually. It's pretty. But it's just not her. I am a killer main and I understand these changes come from BMing, awful people who rob players of their time by slugging for long periods of time. Long term slugging is 100% an issue that needs to be addressed, I agree, but I don't think this is an answer. Currently, my favorite item to see in a lobby is a flashlight, because I know that this person will risk life and limb to get a save and0 comments 51 views last activity

Mori's... I got no questions about that, my main thing is about the update to slugging, to prevent it basically. My Questions Regarding this is the following. The way Basekit Unbreakable was written made it sound like there was a actual timer before you can pick yourself up, like you can recover to the 90% as detailed earlier, but after 45 seconds you can pick yourself up. Is that the case? I1 comments 31 views last activity

Instead of giving bonus points depending on how many survivors we kill in the match for the new moris, isn't just easier to give bloodpoints based on the amount of offerings in the inventory and remove them completely? If you wanna use the icons just do in the future with another mechanic. It's just gonna be another thing in the bloodweb that people will not actually wanna pick that much. 50% of my solo Q games you get the insta suicide survivor guaranteeing killer win, the DCer, the hacker (both sides), or your team is so terrible you know in 30 seconds the match is over. So much suck these days with matches. Why can't we: 1) Remove attempted hook escapes in stage 1. 2) You DC you get put into the DCer's play together only pool for an hour, and keep increasing it. I simply change of words (on the conformation pop-up) could (slightly) fix the problem of many people dcing here's how I would change it. For survivors: Are you sure that you want to leave and abandon your teammates? For killers: Are you sure that you want to leave and displease the Entity? Overall, I think this would be a cool and easy to implement change, that would fix dcing (to some degree1 comments 21 views last activity

One thing I'm not clear about from the dev update is what happens if you have some survivor(s) dying or hooked and the Last Survivor standing escapes out the Exits? Are the dying and hooked survivors immediately sacrificed, or does the killer now have to go back and hook anybody who's dying to force the game to end?4 comments 52 views last activity

20k BP for an iridescent offering with the requirement of having an overwhelming win is far worse than the yellow pudding. Honestly im not sure i would use it over a pudding even if it was 40k BP. It may sound crazy but i would make it 20k, 30k and 50k. Its not needed bc we have good options for bp offerings, but with the current values moris are a dead offering.3 comments 21 views last activity

I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised that you all came up with a great way to make Moris more fair and also get rid of a major griefing mechanic at the same time. Good ideas! With the upcoming anti-slug mechanic and mori rework, a fair few things could be made too weak or strong. Boon: Exponential : If I'm correct, doesn't this do exactly the same thing as Unbreakable now, except only in a limited area and with a 14s setup time? I don't see a reason to run this perk at all now. No Mither : With infinite pickups being a basekit thing, there is absolutely zero reaso2 comments 41 views last activity

THE PROBLEM Hacking is becoming more prevalent, I’m seeing it every other game. Either subtle hacking where the survivor is outrunning bloodlust 3 just barely. Then there’s obvious hacking, where they are doing things like running at 800%, instantly healing, completing all gens instantly, etc. These vulnerabilities stem from an underlying problem in DBD. The game is Client Authoritative. This1 comments 71 views last activity

I'm not even going to talk about the basekit unbreakable because it's absolutely insane even if you don't slug. What I'm more concerned about is the fact that "killers" in this game are going to kill fewer people. The Mori system has been reworked on the basis of the old pyramid heads' conditions. Two hooks and a down. Now we have the pleasure of not even being able to kill more than one person1 comments 42 views last activity

Self-pick-up occurs in 45s; assuming base recovery time is not affected, base time is 30.4s to recover to 95% Unbreakable or Exponential will lower these times to 22.5s and 15.2s Both effects combined lower this to 11.25s and 7.6s If one person under both effects runs Flip Flop, they can reach the recovery threshold value for Power Struggle in 3.38 seconds, leaving the Killer 0.68s to pick u2 comments 71 views last activity
