    I DC'd on a moonwalker legion.

Should I had a penalty for this ?

    Let’s do the math.

    DCing is against the rules.

Legion is a playable character. By “moonwalker” you mean he used the power the game gives him.

You broke the rules- they didn’t. Yes, you should be banned.

Beyond arbitrary rules, you acted like a child and the game is better without those of your ilk.

If they load into a 3v1 that's a different story, I'm talking a full game where everyone loaded in. It's happening no matter what killer I'm play but no, Legion was not one of them.

The problem is a lot of survivors are calling everything tunneling or camping these days even when it's not.

Also, if they're DC'ing because some killers camp/tunnel and I havn't even done that yet as it's their first down, then that's pretty messed up and shows that we need some harsher DC penalties.

Survivors are only valuable as hook ornaments.

Because remember how the forums rioted about the mismatch games? Hiding the number wont change that potatoes and pros would be in the same game. Causing dcs and headaches.

The rank isnt a rank. It's to BETTER match players. Removing it only makes it worse.

Fixing emblems, pip system, and their MM algorithm would help. But simply letting everyone play together would ruin the game. Streamers would get bored of low levels. New players would quit after dying to a tombstone meyers and having NO idea why it only took 60 seconds to die.

Hiding the number would fix the problem- people complained solely about the number next to their opponents name. Mark everyone as rank 1 and call it done.

  • Thank the idiots on here that thought seeing <1 minute meant they were getting lobbies slower, or the people who think they should only see the exact same rank every match.

Give me anyone you’ve got if it lowers my matchmaking time to under a minute again.

  • Because why make a perk useful when you can instead do nothing? That’s just BHVR-sense, right there.

You miss my point. She should be good, viable, etc, but not at the cost of making her power a non stop always use thing. It should be dynamic and give options for thought. This change is good.

They should find a way to balance that change, to keep her tier, but the change in itself isnt a bad one.

I didnt say she shouldnt be a great killer.

You just want her weaker. She was barely great when it was an instant-on ability (which I think it should be, anyway- vile if not corrupt), and you want her greatest strength turned into a weakness.

Somehow, you think you’re being balanced, which is the most pathetic part.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

No. A hardcore tunneling/face camping killer does not deserve extra bp. Period.

That is why I say the killer gets points equal to the lowest total he wracked up for the chase, hook, and death of another survivor. In other words, if survivor 1 DC's, and the killer chases down and kills Survivors 2-4, but survivor 2 was a quick down, hook, face camp which warranted few points, the DC is equal to that value for the killer.

If its a face camper/tunneler, they won't get much for it. If it is a legit killer wracking up points putting pressure on the field, chasing, downing, hooking, and chasing the next, they will get a good bp and emblem boost for the DC.

Oh, and survivors should get bonus bp for actions based on how many DC's they played through.

No two DC's are the same.

All intentional DCs are done by scumbags- they are all alike enough.

You quitting because a player is playing the game is pitiful and should result in a reward to the person you wanted to punish.

Don’t give me nonsense about emergencies- in an emergency, you wouldn’t have time to choose to disconnect.

If a survivor DC’s, the Killer should get a BBQ stack (if applicable) and the maximum amount of points they could have earned from that survivor if they were three hooked, chased, etcetera.

Killer DC’s should give all the survivors alive full WGLF stacks (if applicable) and maximum bloodpoints, the full 32k.

If we’re not going to punish, make it a reward for the other side.

  • @Eveline said:

Do you think about consequences? How many people will stop playing the game? I agree that something should be done but not what you suggested.

Good- I’m fine with a much smaller population if it consists of people who will play the game instead of disconnecting and screwing everyone else over.

I checked the leaks and this perk looks really balanced, you get a jail free card at the cost of a condition and a penalty afterwards. I don't see how anyone can make this perk sound even close to OP.

Don’t worry- they’ll still complain. I play way more killer than survivor and definitely favor killer-sided improvements (like removing the Hatch), but I don’t find any of the leaked Ash perks to be bad- if anything, they seem like some of the most well thought of perks in recent memory.

  • You were already waiting, friend. Now there’s a timer there.

Your time is no more valuable than anyone else’s.

I love the new ways to be obnoxious they keep finding.

Another boringly predictable entitled killer thread. Did you ever think these people might have other priorities in their life other than entertaining you? Some of us legitimately need to leave for real life personal reasons and I'm sure as hell not handing you a free hook by just going afk lol.

You are why people refer to survivors as entitled, whiny, pathetic, and other derogatory terms. You would rather disconnect like a petulant child than allow anyone else free points.

    Entitled. Little. Pissant.

The fact that you have so many survivors playing that think in a specific situation they are entitled to DC... It's just toxic.

Stream Sniping is when you actively watch another player's stream while playing against them to obtain real time information of where they are in game. Currently, the devs have posted that they are not going to ban people for streamsniping. I disagree with this stance as it is a purely toxic action to do so and players who engage in sniping in DBD openly admit that they do it when they get caught by streamers. Other games ban for verifiable stream snipes though.

If only there was a way to delay your stream by a minute... oh wait, there is.

Stream sniping only happens to idiots.

Wow, actually try reading the thread instead of assuming the absolute worst about me and my intentions of wanting a text box, ya know? ✌

You want to be more descriptive when you run and tell the nearest “authority” figure someone did something you disapprove of.

I know all I need to about you from the fact you report people in video games.

  • Every disconnect should cause a ten minute cool down before they can host or join a game. A second within an hour doubles the time. So on and so forth, with ten minutes dropping off every hour of play without a disconnect.

Harsh? Yes. And if you can’t remain connected because your internet is bad, that’s as bad to the other players as if you meant to quit. It’s indistinguishable.

I play on PS4, and Legion is just another mix in the bag. Some will DC the moment that they know it’s a Legion, some on their first down, and others when they know he’s running Frank’s Mix Tape. The later DCs appear to be more common than the former, but it’s a mix. Some days, no one will DC at all. Other days, all 3 will DC and I end up being alone, thus one of the reasons I rarely play solo anymore.

However, the DC rate that I have observed against Legion is only slightly higher than that of the other killers. The overall DC rate was skyrocketed over the past 5-6 months, from 1 maybe every 20 matches, to ~20+ during those same 20 matches. Many are definitely attributable to the Infinite Loading Screen, but the majority are rage quits. It did drop slightly once console bans were implemented, but the rate is now back up to what it was.

The YouTube videos talking about why people derank are a double edged sword. They let the devs know why people derank, but they also significantly increased the number of players who derank. I’m hoping that the new ranking system will significantly change things, as it will make it nearly impossible for players to rank up higher than their abilities allow. This will make it much more fun for those who truly belong at that the higher ranks, as they won’t have to worry about players who can’t pull their weight.

Everything you said is perfect- I can’t wait for the new system either, PS4 is full of potatoes at red ranks.

  • Click the button the matches what they did you object to. If it’s not mentioned, don’t report them. I know it’s heartbreaking not to be able to tattle about imaginary offenses, but try not being pathetic for once :)

One change I would like to see is requiring at least three generators complete before the hatch spawns, and make it so that the hatch doesn’t open if an exit gate is opened.

Even when gates are opened you have Survivors hanging around and dragging games out just to find the hatch.

This is the correct solution. Three gens is fair.

It would be a nice change. The issue I do see though is that so long as you're giving people everything, a lot of people are going to use the best things they've got available to them. While it's important to see what that'll be like so rarer add-ons can be balanced as well, if you can just use very rare and ultra rare add-ons every game as the new killer, a bunch of people would.

I think it would be best if you have everyone the same stuff to start out with. All perks, a couple of each add-on up to rare, then left the rest up to progress made from playing. That way very rare/ultra rare stuff stays rare and doesn't become the norm. Let's not forget that KYF is there if you just want to have everything and run the best add-ons the entire time.

    Thx for your informations.
I think i will limited the very rare and ultra rare addons per day.
And yes I could play in KYF.
But first, my real life friends dont play DbD.
Second, its a Public Test Server.
I want play versus random Players.
But this is DbD, you need Rules if everything is unlimited like in KYF.
I just want KYF for public, but with Rules.

Alternatively, a competent QA team is better than any of this nonsense. This is a half-assed approach to testing and no amount of tweaking will turn random people into a testing team.
  • When my community manager announces a time, we’ll meet it or I’ll find a new CM.

In fact, that’s really the biggest change I’d make- dates made public would be rock solid.
  • I loved Hallowed Blight- mostly because the BP bonuses were great. If the current event had added Blight scoring (play an offering, get 4500 per generator completed/survivor hooked) it’d have been great.

    Getting closer with these, though.
  • I’d rather pay for something good than get something terrible for free. With BHVR, we’ll likely get something terrible we pay for.
  • This is the first event I don’t care about. Removing the bloodpoint bonuses from gens and hooks makes it pointless to me.
  • Not the same at all. AFK characters can still be hooked, still give BBQ stacks and views, and don’t end the game if it’s the killer.

AFK is not at all the same as disconnecting.
  • Im sorry but I think you need to check your privilege at the door.
Nah, you need to check yours- having a bad connection is unfair to the other participants. If you lack the hardware to participate, you should not participate. It might be your right to play regardless of connection, but that doesn’t make it a good thing to do.

You’re a dick for assuming all survivors are cheaters. That’s like assuming all black people are criminals. You’re a part of the problem with the division and lack of coorperation between the two sides

Pretty sure you’re the biggest dick in the thread. That’s quite different than having the biggest dick- in fact, it’s usually an inverse relationship.
  • Twice today as Doc I’ve been in shock mode, grabbed a survivor going for an unhook (they literally followed us to the hook and stood there) and had it switch to punishment mode and count as a hit. It’s insanely frustrating.
  • Perhaps I’m mistaken in assuming that most people view “couple” as 2.

Either way, I’m more interested in whether we’ll get 2.5.0 today rather than some event. I don’t believe we’ve heard anything in regards to dates on that.
You’re not- but with BHVR, timelines mean nothing and all references are arbitrary at best. They seem to be actively allergic to providing accurate information.
  • I've been playing this game for a year now and Ive always kept up with it ever since it first came out, but I have only DC'd 2 times in this game and that was when I was playing survivor.

One was when I was being Insidious camped by a Leatherface in basement with 3 gens left and right as I was going into struggle all three gens popped on and Exit gates were being open (Playing solo btw.)

So as I'm struggling I seen one of my teammates trying to come rescue me, so I DC'd so they wouldn't get caught either. All 3 got out and the LF was pissed.

The other time I DC'd was because me and my buddy decided to play together and we ran across two random survivors which we found out quickly was working with the killer and were using Bond to help the killer find us and farm points off of us. So me and my buddy quit and reported them all.
You realize just letting yourself die is not DCing, right? If you let yourself die whatever- if you DCed you just cost yourself points, nothing more.
  • It’s ridiculous people are justifying quitting. It’s just such a pathetic thing to do- I’m amazed so many garbage-people want to announce it.

Well, there's Irl stuff, that's justified
There's swf refusing to do their last gen because they want to spend an hour taunting you into chasing them after you gave up to let them do the gen and leave which was my experience and why now I would D/C if I see a team about to win and they stop to just taunt. I'd rather they stay in game to farm and search chests than freaking try to start chases and run circles around me after the exit gates are open. Its a waste of time and I don't find it fun since I dont know the purpose.

Edit: by taunt i dont mean teabag by thee exit gate, I mean purposely run around the map loudvaulting, hiding in lockers until 3 crows are making notifications, just trying to make me chase them after the gates are open and they can leave for no reason other than watching me look for them for lols. Its literally dragging the game out.

If something IRL happens, I don’t take the time to disconnect- I just walk away and deal with it.

The other scenario I’ll grant you- survivors being obnoxious I get why, although I’d rather go watch a movie and let them waste their time as long as they like.
  • It’s ridiculous people are justifying quitting. It’s just such a pathetic thing to do- I’m amazed so many garbage-people want to announce it.
  • Just focus on the optimization and bugs for a while first. I don't care if we don't get any new content (other than quick to do events like the winter one) for a while, just as long as I can see improvement in the overall gameplay.

You are the minority. If they don’t create content to sell, they don’t make money. Everyone who has bought the game already is nice and all, but that money is done. A company that isn’t bringing in new money is dead.

New players come with new content. It replaces players who’ve moved on, provides cash, and even gets some players back who, hopefully, also kick in some coin.

Fixes are good- but new content keeps the lights on.

  • Breaking news: people try to win game.

”Sweaty” and “try hard” are more annoying than anything else about this community- the insinuation that’s trying to win is a negative is nauseating.

  • Is it so hard to admit that i proved something? You'll always negate everything I say. Doesn't matter how solid the proof is. Like a personal vendetta or something.
You have proven nothing, though... opinions aren’t proof, brainiac.
  • Ok, have fun with that.
  • PS4 player, my friend. If you make survivors able to gather nectar past thirty vials, they will go back to surviving and my killer queues will go back down.
  • Why do you think that means it isn’t because of the event? Lobbies being slow because of the event is a lobby issue...
  • Be careful- you’re using common sense, that’s frowned upon in these parts.
  • How is it not an excuse? Even if it’s true, it’s a reason designed to deflect blame. I’m not even trying to fight about it, but let’s use accurate words.

If you’re not going to stick to dates, and don’t want to be called out on it, don’t offer them. Easy as pie.

    Have a a nice day.
  • Patricia said:

Cause I been sitting in this killer lobby for 10min...

Please spare a thought for poor time deprived survivors like myself. I have not even 30 vials yet between killer and survivor combined.

I like the fact that survivors who have already completed the event can no longer harvest. It gives me more of a chance to complete the objective.

Except survivor who finished don’t burn offerings (because most people are stupid), and you’re missing out on bloodpoints. Don’t be shortsighted buddy, this is one situation where it isn’t a fixed sum loss if others participate.

I am more interested in the costumes than the bloodpoints and I would like to achieve the objective.

Even if I am the only one that brings an offering that's still 3 cankers. The way it is set up at the moment gives time poor players a better opportunity to earn the costumes.

The costumes that you can literally buy? Ok buddy.
