One didn't come out with nemesis's chapter, that's okay. The devs don't say anything about putting their overhaul schedule on hold. Which is initially fine, I figure they're holding them for more polish. Especially considering we did get a new map for Resident evil, disregarding how unpopular it is. Mid chapter comes out, still no reworks. I'm a bit peeved, but if it means that the maps are bet2 comments 41 views last activity

In the most recent interview they also stated that the killer achieving 60% of hooks in a match is the average they aim for. So again, why doesn't that standard feel rewarding? The most points I usually get out of an "average" match is close to 23,000, which is hardly considered rewarding. I consider 3k's the point where a match gets rewarding bloodpoint wise. I know everyone has a different m9 comments 231 views last activity

One of the devs said they don't want anyone to feel like they have to run certain perks to succeed..Well... does that mean base regression is finally going to get looked at? Because base regression has been near useless for years now. With no sign of them making it actually matter any time soon. The only reason killers bother to invest time into regressing gens is because there are perks to help them do it. Either by removing a chunk of progress, or removing the need to invest the 2 seconds29 comments 661 views last activity

Specifically when it comes to environmental collision. I've tried to flick around loops only to hit an invisible collision box. Or alternatively I hit something that slightly hangs off of a wall, and I mean so slight It shouldn't have collided at all. Autohaven is especially agregious when it comes to this, but other maps have some of the same issues. Such as macmillans tree branch collision27 comments 331 views last activity

The devs never said they were done with the blight style of event. All they said was that the story the events told was finished, AKA Talbot Grimes's story (AKA The Blight's story) Plus they've stuck with the theme for years now. It would be wierd not to have it give skins for other characters as well.4 comments 61 views last activity

Right now the only thing that is 100% known to be a win condition is a 4k. But with the nature of the game you aren't always gonna be able to get that. So would a 3k be win? Does earning a certain amount of pips/bloodpoints count as a win? Officially we have nothing to go on beyond the devs wanting to balance around 2k/2e for the average match. The thing is, the 2k/2e matches I've had for yea9 comments 101 views last activity

I've been trying to find a killer that suits me, but is still one that can perform well. For god knows how long I've been maining console Blight, and occassionally trying other killers. But lately I've grown tired of precision based characters who can be dodged by moving slightly to the left or right. Which seems to be a growing trend with modern killers. I just don't know who to play anymore42 comments 621 views last activity

From the posts on twitter I've seen, we only have a handful of confirmed letters. If i remember correctly they are s, i, a, and e. So, with this in mind let me set the mood for y'all. To me, it feels like map design is a constant issue with these devs. They know what constitutes a balanced map for both sides. In fact, many people in the community can point to excellent examples of balanced maps. But they just... don't make them anymore. Not to mention how they implemented breakable walls. Which on paper sounded cool, but in application are terrible, especially when slapped o92 comments 1,022 views last activity

Butter Blight is fun and all, until you realise some maps are just anti Blight with how much butter they're coated in. I would love to be able to bounce off of anything, but apparently coldwind disagrees with my presumption.7 comments 111 views last activity

I know this is a little late to the party, but jesus. When old coldwind was still there we had ye old tree/rock loops. which took the tile space for the edges of the map that didn't have corn, harvesters, cowtrees, or jungle gyms in them. With Coldwind's rework we got those replaced with hay loops. Which to anyone who remembers old coldwind, is a straight buff compared to the tree/rock loops.20 comments 251 views last activity

Like seriously, it's even more ridiculous for the Legion. Considering they're already punished to a degree for using their power. Especially considering you have to eat a 4 second cooldown to get out of frenzy, and you can't see the basic tracking methods that survivors typically leave. Now for victor, technically I can sort of see why. But still, the Twin's whole schtick is you're basically pl9 comments 602 views last activity

I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the significance of the chapter name. But for those of you who are unaware, it is a play on a quote from The Blight himself, which reads as follows. "To understand the human condition, one must rise above it." Talbot wished to rise above the human condition. Instead, with the entity's intervention, he could only descend beyond what could conceivabl2 comments 111 views last activity

It seems like the perk shouldn't be able to do that, it even specifically states that it only silences grunts of pain. If they're dead set on keeping the current iron will/Stridor interaction. The least they could do is allow stridor to boost the ambient breathing through iron will.6 comments 132 views last activity

Not to say all survivors try to bang out gens as quickly as possible. But you have to admit red ranks have the reputation they have for a reason. To me it feels like at one point a cycle of sweaty matches was started somewhere down the line. Wherein one side started to be overly competitive, forcing the other to be competitive, forcing others to do the same, so on so forth, until we end up whe31 comments 221 views last activity

Of course I'm talking about The Trickster, a big topic on the forums right now. I played two separate matches, one as , and one against. In the first match I played as survivor on the Macmillan Estate. Then proceeded to be slaughtered like cattle due to the large amount of low loops in some variants of the realm. So I figured, why not? I'll give trickster a go with a macmillan offering just13 comments 361 views last activity

Why don't they make it a healing interaction where you take the knives out? If they changed laceration decay to this they could balance trickster accordingly. Because as of now he needs a total overhaul. But honestly, how in the Kentucky fried [BAD WORD] do knives just magically disappear like that? RCPD was designed only for resident evil's gameplay. To suit that style of play and general design philosophy, RCPD was made to be a maze like mess. Which you could navigate with the help of a map. Those among you who are familiar with DBD will note the excruciating lack of a map when it comes to playing on RCPD. So what DBD players are left with is a map that is purposefully designed to be a31 comments 491 views last activity

So let me get this straight... clown is broken, with no fix for him in the foreseeable future. Then they also have clown as one of the centerpieces for the next tome, who will be getting master challenges requiring you to play him? Unless they're planning to fix him without telling us beforehand, I can't see this tome going well for the poor clown mains.7 comments 141 views last activity

I remember when I was a lower rank. Games were less sweaty, you could relax and still have a decent game. The killers felt powerful and scary, while survivors felt weak. Ironic that the game felt more fun under those conditions. But now that I've stuck in red ranks for about 2 years my games have been sweaty 90% of the time. The other 10% have been because some players in those matches were boo24 comments 271 views last activity

If you don't know what I'm talking about, the game was illuminated in the area immediately around you when you played killer on the reworked maps. That personal lighting system allowed BHVR to make darker maps while not sacrificing too much visibility for the killer. So why not keep it?4 comments 81 views last activity

There are a couple obvious ones I see for myself. 1. Instasaw addons ( Self explanatory ) 2. Drift king addons ( more of a meme but allowed him to traverse maps more easily. I personally didn't have a problem with it. ) 3. Can camp well with the chainsaw ( you used to be able to keep it revved up, but now it isn't as easy. I've been taking a well deserved break from console DBD. The last time I was on we hadn't heard anything from BHVR except the infuriatingly vague "we're working on it." So has there been any news on that, or is BHVR still giving console players the finger?1 comments 71 views last activity

I'm all for the devs taking more time to make the overhauled realms function and look good. But at the very least they could tell us if they're holding off on releasing it for further polish. I'm tired of getting left in the dark over stuff it would take literally a sentence or two to tell the community.9 comments 101 views last activity

My suspicion is on how much you've prestiged a character. It could be confirmation bias, or just luck of the draw, but so far it's been consistent on my characters. The characters who haven't prestiged at all have been receiving far more cake than my prestiged characters. For a specific example, my prestige 3 Blight has been receiving 1 or no cakes in every bloodweb. While my non - prestiged12 comments 191 views last activity

Trickster still needs to hit survivors 6 times to injure or down. Huntress needs only 1 hatchet to do all of that in less than half the time. Huntress also doesn't have to worry about her damage decaying away, nor worry about an annoying as hell recoil. There is still basically no reason to pick trickster over huntress.47 comments 692 views last activity

Look, the changes are appreciated, the ones that matter anyway. But this would have been a time to let us know you're listening to us console players. Yet again you give us silence for an issue you promised to resolve 2 years ago ( 3 years when winter 2021 rolls around. ) At every opportunity you've had to let us know you're at least working on it you've not said a damn word. For the most part BHVR never anticipated DBD growing as big as it has. If I remember correctly that was stated by one if the devs a while back, could be wrong though. Like seriously, i just played on this map for the first time. It's like they saw the purposefully confusing map design of RCPD and thought "P E R F E C T." It is awful to play on both sides. Not only because the design is confusing, but because it encompasses every bad thing people don't want in a map. It's indoors, the map is massive, it has multiple stories, very narrow hallways, and is con37 comments 521 views last activity

Kinda figured this event would be boring since it's the same thing. But hey, BHVR mixed it up by providing sync errors, lackluster secondary effect for the cakes, an extreme cake shortage, more lag, not to mention you can't earn crowns for some reason. Isn't BHVR so good to us :)2 comments 91 views last activity

Some of y'all have doubtlessly seen Scott's video on it. I figured I'd just post the doc itself for y'all to read. It goes without saying that this entire thing was written by Trickstershadow. We've all had the situations as survivor wher we get unhooked. Only to find that our savior has vanished into thin air, leaving us injured as you hear the heartbeat grow louder. We've also been on the other end of the spectrum, where we pull a move so smooth brained that it puts us back on th hook. Point is that it's not always the killer being a dick that causes the tunneling. Sometimes our51 comments 891 views last activity

With how long the poor optimization has been present in DBD it's surprising that no news website has talked about it. Hell, console has been dealing with it for about 5 years now. At this point it's ridiculous how long this issue hasn't been addressed by the devs. To the point it's almost comical how hard they're trying to ignore it. Deathgarden would be an absolutely perfect game to pick futuristic characters from. For one it is an original property from BHVR. Meaning they have creative liberty in how they make the characters suitable for dead by daylight. For another, most of the characters are fitting for the theme of DBD. Such as this lovely lady here.6 comments 71 views last activity

Even before the rework it was infamous for being one the best realms for survivors. Not nearly as bad as haddonfield or gideon meat plant, but still one of the top 3. For one the loops are still very strong, especially the hay loops that replaced the tree/rock loops. Which weren't terrible, but at least you could see the survivor for the most part. If BHVR were to make new game modes for events only, then that could allow them to both make events feel special, and be creative with the theme of the event. As a side effect they would no longer have to invest so much time into events. Since the alternate game modes could be there every time the events roll around. For instance, the idea for a blight themed game mode has been rolling arou5 comments 31 views last activity

Something I don't see a whole lot of people talking about on the forums is how awful winning sometimes feels. Sometimes you'll "win", whatever the hell that exactly means we don't know because BHVR hasn't given us a solid answer. But for the purposes of this post let's say I mean a 4k. I'll find myself getting a 4k, but it doesn't feel good or like a rewarding experience. One if the things I17 comments 191 views last activity

Because the in game event is just a copy and paste job. Even the stuff they're doing out of matches is just a variation of stuff they could already do. Such as rotating the shrine of secrets, giving log in rewards, and reskinning default cosmetics + items. None of the upcoming event is effortful, and if this is BHVR putting in extra effort.
