    :+1:

That was their way of reworking it: remove the lowest and the highest Rarity from the Perks. It was a band-aid, but it worked and hence they kept it instead of doing it properly.

The first fix they tried made the Bloodweb spawn Perks in strict order of Rarity. You wouldn't get any Tier 3 Perk until you haven't gotten all Tier 1 and 2 Perks.

So it was possible to get Tier III Sprint Burst at level 10 without having tiers I and II unlocked?

They could've at least kept Common perks, and if they were to re-add ultra rare perks they could make it so it's tied to the cost of a Very Rare item and not an Ultra Rare item because spending 7,000 bloodpoints for a perk is too much, even if it's useful or a crutch.

Also, they could've just changed the color of the perks. For example, they could've changed Tier I Deerstalker from yellow to brown, even if it might still read 'uncommon'.

Anyway, the devs should just fix their damn game. They shouldn't have entirely removed these tiers just because it was bugged in the bloodweb. They should've just fixed the bloodweb and they wouldn't encounter these issues today.

  • Adrenaline
    Balanced Landing
    Lithe
    Sprint Burst
    Dead Hard

Dead Hard is one of the worst, if not the worst, Exhaustion perks. It's technically a one-use perk against good killers because once you use it, they'll bait you into using it to get that free hit. And it's so temporary, but it's a lifesaver in situational moments (a killer is swinging at you while they have someone on their shoulder). I consider Lithe better than DH because Lithe provides 3 seconds of a boost trying to get you to a new location/loop.

  • How about this?

Dwight: Cooperative actions are increased by 5%. (Doesn't stack with PT)

Meg: Exhaustion can be recovered while running, receive a 5% increased recovery speed to Exhaustion OR Your running speed while not in a chase is increased by 5%. (Doesn't stack with Vigil)

Claudette: Healing speed and efficiency are increased by 5%. (Doesn't stack with BK or SC)

Jake: Sabotage speeds are increased by 5%.

Nea: The stagger from falls are reduced by 5% OR Efficiency of items are increased by 5%.

Ace: Your luck is increased by 5%.

Feng: Repair speeds are increased by 5%. (Doesn't stack with faster repair perks/items)

Laurie: Increases the chance of becoming the Obsession by 5%.

Bill: Solo actions are increased by 5%. When you are the last survivor remaining, all action speeds are increased by 5%.

David: Increases action speeds by 5% while injured. (Doesn't stack with Resilience)

Quentin: Open gates 5% faster OR Wake Up action speeds are increased by 5%. (Doesn't stack with Wake Up!)

Tapp: Your recovery speed is increased by 5% OR The speed at breaking totems or disarming traps is increased by 5%, increases the speed of removing a Reverse Beartrap is increased by 5%. (Does not stack)

Kate: Increases struggle effects on killers by 5% OR Increases struggling speed by 3% or 5%. (Doesn't stack with Boil Over)

Adam: Increases skill check success zones for any action by 5%.

Jeff: Increases chest search speeds by 5%. Increases chances of getting better items from chests by 5%. Does not stack with Plunderer's Instinct.

But OP for which side? Survivor or killer? The survivors get 4 perks, the killer get only one extra

It would still make it OP, and what if you're running 4 Hex perks + Haunted Ground? Do 6 totems spawn?

  • welp, don't be surprised if you see 'that's OP' or 'that's unbalanced' comments. just warnin' ya buddy :)

  • What's devotion? Where do I find it? is it the player level?

  • Maybe change 55% to 75-85%, otherwise, it'd be kinda OP if 4 survivors were working on the same gen at the same time, and you were unable to kick it. Does Overcharge still affect this? How about Hex: Ruin? Does this add-on trump these perks?
Maybe change the add-on to this:

Protective Wiring: Some wires made from super durable metal that prevents it from easily getting damaged:

Once you use your toolbox to repair a generator past 75%, this add-on is consumed.

Once consumed, the generator will be:
•Unable to regress past 75% completion.
•Unable to be damaged by the killer.
    •Add-on is consumed on use.
•Does not trump Hex: Ruin and Overcharge.
•'Tapping' the generator will consume the toolbox.
•Reduces charges by 15% (Optional, but if added you can erase the tapping part and/or the "does not trump ___" part).

The monocle is good, the penalty of it being consumed considerably faster than normal is understandable, that balances it out.

Do you guys think what he described, should be added to the game? Personally, I think so, especially the iridescent shard rewards you get each time you complete a bloodweb based on your prestige level.

This sounds reasonable, I agree with the values too.

However I dont understand why we need a bloodpoint cap

I don't understand why we need the cap either, possibly to prevent hacks/glitching.

  • @Bongbingbing said:

Exactly! Then again, the devs could remove tiers 1 & 2 from perks and have a 'base' set for perks, but then again, they could reduce the grind in many other ways as well. Devotion awards would be amazing!

    Killer

Appearance: The Creature is a slim, tall and sle> @makayla said:

    SURVIVOR

    Name: Makayla

Looks: Caucasian female with a small frame. Short, brown curly hair with blunt bangs (exactly like Feng Mins default hair, but curly and dark brown.)

Default Outfit: Literally this exact dress, I own it IRL and it's my favorite thing with black combat boots and black socks.

Role: A fearful, soft-spoken girl. Her personal perks, Tip Toe, Hopeless Romantic, and Pins and Needles give her knowledge of her teammates whereabouts and help her run from the Killer in chase.

    PERKS

Tip Toe: You've mastered the art of moving around silently. When walking/running, your footsteps and grass crunches are 50%/75%/100% quieter.
"I don't want to wake up everyone at 3:00 AM making macaroni."

Hopeless Romantic: A random survivor's aura at the beginning of the trial is shown to you. That survivor also sees your aura for the entirety of the trial. If the survivor who's aura is shown to you escapes the trial, you will gain 50%/75%/100% bonus bloodpoints at the end of the trial to all bloodpoint gains.
The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.
    "I'll do anything for you."
(This stacks with WGLF, cakes, streamers, etc.)

Pins And Needles: When the killer is within 8/12/16 meters of you, in chase or not, gain a 3%/4%/5% Haste bonus. The effect lasts for 10/20/30 seconds even after the Killer leaves.
"Gotta run, gotta run, gotta run..."

I haven't thought of a Killer one at all, I can't seem to think of any cool ideas.

Nice! Those perks could be added to be honest.. But, I love your survivor. I love the dress and the perks that you made. It'd be really cool if we could make our own survivors..

  • @DelsKibara said:
Given my temper (especially towards this game), I think being Killer would be much more suited for me.

    Title: The Monster

Power: A howling scream which strikes fear and anger into the hearts of the Survivors. Survivors who hear this scream pauses for a second before resuming their action. The more they hear the blood curling scream, the more they themselves are agitated.
Agitated Survivors suffer from 3%/5%/10% decrease speed from all actions depending on the Tier of their agitation.
However, Survivors who recovered from their Agitation transfer said anger to The Monster. The Monster gains a 1%/3%/5% speed increase for every 2 tiers of survivors who recovered from Agitation.

    Perks:
Rage Incarnate: You break Pallets you were stunned with at 25%/50%/100% faster speed, and you gain a speed boost of 2%/4%/6% for 10 seconds after breaking the pallet.
"Don't you [BAD WORD] HIT ME!" ~The Monster

Coward's Nightmare: You strike fear into everyone. Especially those out of your sight. Decreases the idle timer for survivors in a locker within your Terror Radius by 10/20/30 seconds.
"I finally [BAD WORD] found you!" ~The Monster

Calm and Agitated: You can focus down on your prey during a chase, calming your heart down. Your Terror Radius is reduced by 6/10/14 meters. However, if a survivor manages to Blind or Stun you. Your Terror Radius is increased by 12/20/28 meters for a duration of 30 seconds.
"I can only be calm for so long." ~The Monster

Are some of these perks OP? Maybe. Especially Coward's Nightmare.
Does the power make no sense? Quite honestly, yeah.
But of course this isn't about balance or "fun gameplay mechanics", but more about writing your Dead by Daylight Original Character.

Yes, exactly. This is the type of stuff I was hoping for, not any balanced ideas. In fact, I'm gonna add a 'disclaimer' that allows anyone who comments their original character to make OP/Underpowered perks/powers considering they won't be added anyway. Otherwise, your killer idea sounds exciting. What's the 'idle timer'?

    Procrastinate (I procrastinate everything):
Every 30/20/10 seconds you aren't working on a gen you gain a token. Max of 5/5/6 tokens. Each token increases solo gen repair speed by 4%. Every time a generator is tapped lose a token, when you complete a generator all tokens are consumed.

Calm and collected(I'm usually pretty calm):
For each survivor remaining in the trial all skill check zones are increased by 5%.

    Last Laugh (I'm super petty):
If you are sacrificed or killed all remaining survivors see the auras of the black lock, the exit gates, totems, and generators for 20 seconds.

Chapter 10 is a chapter of regret. That's something everyone can agree on.

Discordance is one of the best perks for killers that they have released in a very long time imo.

    The rest... Pretty meh.

Yeah, Discordance is great against SWF. If I see 4 survivors join all at once I'm immediately switching SB with Discordance.

Mad Grit is good, especially against TOXIC SWF that try to stand in front of you while carrying another survivor.

Iron Maiden.. it's a one-use perk. If a survivor enters a locker and exits it, they know you got IM and will avoid lockers. However, this can be good w/ Doctor & Huntress as they search lockers for hiding survivors/hatchets, and it can be good for Billy and Leatherface if a survivor tries to dodge your chainsaw by entering a locker and then immediately exiting.

In less than a weak survivors had Freddy gutted and that has left a bad taste in my mouth,  and the Dev's still haven't fixed Freddy.

Legion is just straight garbage all across the boards.

And the "advantage" arguement didnt stop after they lobbied then with pc players.

It's only an advantage if you choose to not use what is given to you. And for a community that seems to herald the fact that DBD cant be competitive, it shouldnt be an issue at all except that some/most people feel more comfortable playing with kbm instead of a controller.

Moonwalking is such an advantage, you had to actually reply claiming that I was claiming it is an advantage. Except it isn’t. The post was about moonwalking, keyboard doesn’t give a big advantage except to nurse, and your post was completely meaningless

No, the post was about using kbm on consoles. To which I posted. I responded to your "advantage" comment about kbm. As I stated. Learn to read.

Post isnt about moonwalking, your response was. And console players can still moonwalk fine if they turn up sensitivity. Not to mention that moonwalking isnt the "advantage" that using kbm as opposed to controller would foster. To which I said, the so called "advantage" wasnt, as the game isnt uber competetive.

My post had a point. Yours didnt other than to try and make me feel bad? Or wrong? To which you failed terribly.

So your post was meaningless.  Thanks though. <3

I stated that they’d get the advantage of moonwalk. Not saying that’s OO, but it’s an advantage, I personally think it’s awesome. You missed that point. It was a statement, not some comment to be debated. Get over yourself.

Some nice ideas. The values for Thanatophobia would be way too much though, considering that Sloppy Butcher only affects healing and decreases the healing speed by 20%. If it was only repair speed, than maybe it would be fine, though on Legion it would probably still be overpowered.
Also, Lithe shouldn't also increase your vaulting speed. Pretty sure those changes would easily make it the best exhaustion perk. I think the reason why you need to be in a chase with Lithe is that if you already gain quite a bit distance to the killer, and then use Lithe, you might get so far away that the killer will just lose you and have no chance of keeping track of you. Maybe. Not sure though.
Fire Up would also be too good with the suggested change in my opinion.

Your precise care of generators prevents progress on survival. Every time 2 or more survivors work on a generator, great skill check success zones are reduced by 30/40/50%. Each failed skill check results in an additional 15/20/25% regression to the generator. The chance of skill checks appearing are increased by 5/10/15%.

Genrush is executed by spreading and doing gens solo.
Also, if it only affects the great skillcheck zone, then the perk is kinda useless

Makes sense. Any ideas on how I can change this?

  • @Rebel_Raven said:

Secondary objectives are what will slow the game down not more perks or increased gen times.

    Nvm I'll change this.

  • Maybe make it so that the "How to Play" tutorials allow you to play as whatever killer/survivor you want, and maybe add some trials so that you can play w/ other bot survivors & killers.

  • I added some new perks after Iron Maiden. If they do not require any changes, please tell me.

Some perks I 're-worked' because they are either in a desperate need of a change or aren't used often OR are just in need of a rework in general based on my opinion. I will not list the 'pretext' or the flavor text at the end of the perk.

    Beast of Prey:
While in a chase, the red stain is reduced by 30/50/70%. While out of a chase, the red stain is increased by 55/45/35%.
Gain 30/40/50% more bloodpoints for actions in the Hunter category.

    Territorial Imperative:
Any time a survivor enters the basement, their aura is revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds. (Similar to Alert)

    Huntress' Lullaby:
Each time you hook a survivor, gain a token up to 5 tokens. Each token grants a 2/4/6% penalty if a survivor misses any skill check. The skill check noise is reduced by 10/15/20%.

    Thanatophobia:
Each time you hit a survivor, gain a token up to 4 tokens. Each token grants a penalty to action speed.
1 token: 5/6/7% reduced action speed
2 tokens: 10/12/14% reduced action speed
3 tokens: 15/18/21% reduced action speed
4 tokens: 20%/24/28% reduced action speed
Every token consumed each time a survivor heals to healthy. Tokens can be replenished if a survivor is hit.

    Unrelenting:
The cooldown of a missed attack is reduced by 31/34/37%. The cooldown of a successful attack is reduced by 1/3/5%.
Successful attack gains do not stack.

    Overcharge:
Generators you kick regress 10/15/20% faster and prevents the generator from being worked on for 3/4/5 seconds. Each time a survivor repairs a kicked generator, they are faced with a moderately/considerably/tremendously difficult skill check. Failing the skill check results in an additional 3/4/5% generator regression. Succeeding the skill check grants no progress but prevents the generator explosion.
Generator regression begins after the generator can be repaired again.

    Left Behind:
For each survivor killed or sacrificed, gain a token up to 3 tokens. Each token grants a bonus to repair speeds if you are the last survivor remaining.
1 survivor killed or sacrificed: 10/14/18% bonus
2 survivors killed or sacrificed: 22/24/26% bonus
3 survivors killed or sacrificed: 29/31/33% bonus
If you are the last survivor remaining, there is a 10% chance the alert of a completed generator will not appear to the killer.

    No One Left Behind:
When the exit gates are powered, gain 50/75/100% more bloodpoints in the Altruism category and perform them 22/33/44% quicker.

    Vigil:
You and your allies within an 8-meter range recover from all status effects 12/16/20% faster and can recover from Exhaustion while running. The Exhaustion cooldown is doubled while running.
Exhaustion cannot be recovered from while in a chase.

    No Mither:
When you are hit by the killer, you suffer the Broken status effect for the remainder of the match. Grunts of pain are reduced by 25/50/75% and you leave no pools of blood. You can recover from the Dying state.
Gain 60/80/100% more bloodpoints in the Survival category.

    Lithe:
Fast vaulting or exiting a locker within the killer's terror radius gives you a speed boost of 150% your normal running speed for 3 seconds. Your vault and locker speeds are increased by 4/6/8%.
    Causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
    ^all that Exhaustion stuff

    Quick & Quiet:
Each time you throw down a pallet, fast vault, or enter a locker quickly, your noise is reduced by 100%.
Quick & Quiet can be triggered every 30/25/30 seconds.

    Dance With Me:
Each time you land from a high jump, exit a locker quickly, or vault quickly, your scratch marks are not shown for 3/4/5 seconds. Dance With Me has a cooldown of 30 seconds.

    Windows of Opportunity:
Auras of Pallets and Vaults are revealed to you within 20/25/30 meters. Windows of Opportunity has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds each time you fast vault or throw down a pallet in a chase.

    Fire Up:
For each action you perform, you gain a token. This includes breaking a pallet, hooking a survivor, kicking a generator, killing or sacrificing a survivor, hitting a survivor, and a generator being complete. Gain up to 4 tokens. Each token grants you an additional increase to action speeds, such as breaking a pallet, kicking a generator, picking up a survivor, vaulting and hooking.
2 tokens: 7/8/9% increased action speed
3 tokens: 14/15/16% increased action speed
4 tokens: 21/22/23% increased action speed

    Iron Maiden:
    You open lockers 50% faster.
Each time a survivor exits a locker, their location is revealed to you for 3 seconds. The survivor suffers the Exposed effect for 15/30/45 seconds.

G R E A T J O B!, I like all perks reworks.. I think iron maiden dont need a rework.. but i still like the idea, Vigil it's the best :) Hope and devs see this post

    Thank you! :)

I dont get the point of Quick and Quiet. So, basically, waste pallets without alerting the Killer? Also, I think you messed up the cooldown part. :P

Windows of Opportunity should just simply not have a cooldown. Even then it would fall as underused.

And about Huntress Lullaby, I did notice how you removed the Hex perk status, and its effect has to be adjusted accordingly. But, by "reducing skillcheck noise", you mean lowering its volume or keep it like it is now?

I did, I'm sorry about that xD I'll remove the 'waste pallets' feature.

I'll remove the cooldown, in fact, at first I thought WoO shouldn't have a cooldown, and even if it did, it shouldn't have the cooldown of Exhaustion perks for fast vaulting or throwing down a pallet in a chase.

Keeping it like it is now, I could change it a little bit so it wouldn't be OP.

And one question about Beast of Prey. Would it reduce the size of the Red Stain or the intensity?

I'll change Thanatophobia and Lithe. Beast of prey would reduce the size of the Red Stain.

  • Forgive me, I'll change the values and mechanics so that they aren't OP or just need a change in general.

Why can't they add Bill to console?

Because Valve (The development team responsible for the rights of Left 4 Dead) wanted Bill to be Steam exclusive.

Ohh ok. That's beneficial bc console users don't have to grind for Unbreakable.

There's a misspelling on the Ormond offering as well. I cut a bit of slack to the devs though, since English probably isn't their first language.

Yeah, they're probably Russian. Idk it's just their accent.

Does no one enjoy getting Moried? When a killer brings in an Ebony or if he uses the Tombstone I get so excited XD People who complain about this are ridiculous. We need more killers with add-ons like this.

Not if killer could easily kill a surv without hooking them the playerbase would die fast like friday the 13

    leave my dead fanbase alone

The old one was perfect, you could feel the power and the anger of you breaking those pallets, the camera gave such a natural feeling to that.
The new (current) one is just so weird, can't Identifiy to it. It feels like you have external robot legs who break these pallets while you watch it in a chill mood.

I'm sure a lot of people want this back aswell, so I ask you @not_Queen if you can give this request to the team who are designing the animations?

    Thank you very much

Omg yes, I do too. That's all I had to say.

    Either NOED or BNP.

Other than those, Sprint Burst and Balanced Landing.

How were SB and BL nerfed?

First they were unlimited use with a cooldown. Then they introduced Exhaustion, which replaced said cooldown (forcing you to only one one of them at a time). And then they made Exhaustion not recover while running.

Ohhh, yeah, I know now. It sucks that we can't recover from Exhaustion while running (but tbh, it is realistic) but at least let Vigil allow you to recover from Exhaustion while running at 50% of the normal cooldown.> @TAG said:

From what I can gather, Save the Best For Last was originally godly, then suffered a concussion when it was smashed in the face with the nerf bat, then recovered back into being a solid perk.

STBFL was one of the best perks ever. I never knew why they nerfed it, they shouldn't have changed the mechanics, they should've only reduced the values of the cooldowns of hits.> @anarchy753 said:

Unrelenting used to do something, now it just puts an icon on your empty perk slot.

I'm SCREAMING. This is SO true. Unrelenting doesn't do ######### now, and if they were going to nerf the cooldowns of hits, maybe make it so that they re-adjusted the values of missed attacks and added a slightly decreased cooldown on successful attacks. For example,

Reduces cooldown of missed attacks by 30/40/50%.
Reduces cooldown of successful attacks by 3/6/9%.

This would be a slightly 'better' STBFL, possibly turning into a meta perk. This also could provide an advantage to newer players who don't know how to hit a survivor who's 360'ing.

Hm. I think Predator. Lightweight no longer has a direct counter. So if you’re running the new Predator and a survivor is running Lightweight the scratches are going to be all the more harder to track.

I want Lightweight so bad.. I can only get the Tier 1/2 versions of it tho. It's prolly a trash perk now, but whatever floats my boat.> @Vietfox said:

    BNP without a doubt.

Yeah, in fact, the 'instructions' the BNP's description state confuse me. It said there are 2 difficult skill checks throughout the installation, but there's more than 2? Is that intended? Otherwise, the BNP didn't deserve to be nerfed.
