So no fix to gen speeds, huge maps or killer problems? Simply balancing so survivors will have a more enjoyable experience? You should be a Dev.

I never injure someone like that with oni,and i have played him more than most killers tbh. Even if they just started the vaulting animation i just break the pallet without a down
I break it when they're on it and it just injures them and breaks it, it's pretty consistent.

Havent played Oni for a while but in my experience a kanabo hit on a faulting survivor is just a 1 shot (unless you do the non charged m1 kanabo hit obviously)
It breaks the pallet too, it just doesn't down them.

Hmm I'm pretty sure people know how to play survivor though...
For every person that knows how to play survivor well, theres 8 that have no idea how to do anything besides soft loop and hold m1.

Well yea, people were still learning how to use her
Now, and follow me on this one, if nurse was easily the best and still is but had a bad kill rate, does that mean she wasn't the best? No, it means people playing here were awful and the people that were even decent with her could dominate.
Replace Nurse with survivors and you have the exact same situation.

@ClickyClicky said:
It’s objectively killer sided. The stats and data prove this.
Nurse had a less than 50% kill rate post rework.

Doctor could ignore ds completely

Each killer is part of the survivor experience, especially such a "popular" and "powerful" killer like Doc.
Survivor perks are part of the killer experience, doc was just reworked as well I have no idea if hes powerful yet as i dont have much to base it off of and ds was buffe- reworked quite some time ago and is very widely used with ane extremely powerful effect.

@Waffleyumboy said:
Well all survivors are the same character, hag and billy are just one of many. Sounds are far from a simple solution and will likely require some form of engine fix. Thanks for admitting you only care about your biased narrative and you are not open to logical debate over the matter.
Doctor is one character, he had a bug that allowed him to ignore one of the most popular and powerful survivor perks and it was fixed in about a week.
He is one character
What debate are you trying to start btw? Please tell me where I'm wrong in what I sad, in saying I'm not trying to have a discussion or debate without any response is a bit hypocritical.

But all you have done all day is call anyone who disagrees with you a bad player. Its quite insulting.
I haven’t spoken about anyones skill level, just pointed out that Billy is the easiest of the top tier killers. People will always take the easiest path. Its why many pick other killers over Nurse. Or why many take the strongest perks (e.g. NOED)
Freddy doesn't exist or hag

Yes cause it is not enough in comparison to the other killers. Devs seem to have a plan regarding a killer's power. Time will tell if im just ignorant or if i have a point.
If they nerf Billy I'm quitting, he can be beat and is accepted to be fun to play as and against by most. You have given addons for an example, in his base kit there is a wait for his power, 2.5 seconds and a cooldown on it, he is also slowed while revving. The fact is that there are things so he can not spam his power as you are implying.

Here's the trick for Billy. Which I'm sure some have done to you. You force him to have to use m1 to hit you around a loop, keeping the pallet up as long as possible. Then when you finally drop the pallet. You can stay there and keep looping till he actually m1's you. Then with the speed burst and probably dead hard, you can reach the next loop no problem by the time billy recovers from the hit and tries to charge his chainsaw.
I mean that's what I do. If can get through at least 2 loop locations against any Killer than I did more than what's expected of me as a survivor, that's much longer than a 20 second chase.
Again it's all about the skill of both the survivor and the killer. Just survivors have many tools that make them immune against any killer.
Very fair and solid point, what I was referring to is not m1ing and forcing the pallet down asap and repeat at very safe pallets.

A killers power is considered to be a power.
They have to wait/perform for it. Hillbilly can run around and spam his power. Even in his base kit.
"Spam his power" are survivors spamming pallets? Spamming windows?
-
@NullEXE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1047659#Comment_1047659
You can force him to m1 in almost all loops. It's not only the killer's job to know about maps, and loops. It's also the survivors. Survivors know not to be out in the open too long against a billy, and adjust to counter him.
That's skill from both sides, and from most the billy's I've faced he's very easy to counter when you force him to loop. Even on a map like Rotten Fields.
I tend to bait forced m1s, or simply not take the hit and force down the pallet in the loop by getting bloodlust or revving and curving and at less safe pallets I'll take m1s if it is a faster option.

Just bring bumper addons and ur fine to chainsaw into every obstacle.
Most killers have to wait or perform for their power to have an impact. Hillbilly can run arund like a drunk monkey and dont give a damn.
Before I assume what your implying, please clarify, do you mean that he can chainsaw with no penalty or that he doesn't have to wait? Either way I said base kit, is huntress broken because all you need is iri head and your good?
-
@NullEXE said:
He's really easy to counter.
Depends on his skill and the map.

I would argue it's not the amount of loops, but their safety. In my opinion, they could even increase the amount of pallets that spawn on a map if those pallets are almost all mindgameable.
Quantity over quality, I wouldn't mind either but they shouldn't spawn extremely close together.
-
@Infinity_Bored said:
He needs a power gauge/recharge just like nurse.
Right now there is basically no punishment for failing a chainsaw attempt.
A recharge system would balance his power and mobility.
I've read through the whole debate or insults about this, while making no point as to why it's a bad idea has no use, it does sound stupid to me personally as he has a cooldown, if a hillbilly makes a mistake and then downs you soon after, this sounds like you made a bigger or similar in scale mistake as the hillbilly. He has a cooldown and punishment for messing up in his base kit.

And that’s the issue. Thank you.
That is the issue, players tend to be lesser skilled in those ranks they're not decent. However if a killer is they will win against players lesser skilled, if you see this as an issue you should be a dev.

Killers will say he’s balanced. Survivors will say he’s not. He’s too quick and can put too much map pressure too quickly. That and with doors spawning Next to each other, he’s not beatable at end game. He is loopable, but that’s at higher ranks. At ranks 12-20, he’s an easy 4K.
Any decent killer player will 4k at ranks 12-20.

As someone who had 3 Phantom Saws in two games right now, I agree.
It's the most infuriating thing, auto aim is also weird sometimes, you start hitting the meg crouched? Nope that tree is what you wanted. Or, I cant see the survivor and some how I flick to hit them.

I think the nerfs need to stop for now. They need to address the core issues of the game. Then make buffs and nerfs from there.

Doesn't matter what you believe or feel is right. The live balance team loves cool downs and charge mechanics.

Billy was always talked about along side Nurse as a top tier killer. Look what happened to Nurse and how ignored the feedback was. It's going to happen to Billy too.
As much as I wish that wasn't true, the devs make me feel like they always side with the people that want killers nerfed or more fun for survivors recently.

When did Borrowed Time get buffed? Where did medkits and Balanced Landing go?
Mend time reduced and you can run to make the bar not go down, medkits? The green insanely fast, balanced as an exhaust perk is exactly the same, they removed what survivors were abusing for infinites and replaced it for a stealth secondary effect. It got nerfed for making things infinites and buffed for stealth.
If your referring to insta heals, let's have a chat about 2 items, one of which is basically the same vs a whole character and all her addons at the same time.
Killers had one perk made not to create infinites while survivors got freddy's bullshit build nerfed, which could be argued to be even and killers got the new killer nerfed and made less fun.

I mean, if anyone enjoys waiting for 11+ minutes to join a bugged lobby or to have their game cancelled because someone crashed during the loading, then sure, go ahead, but I'm not having it, it's just a lobby waiting time simulator at this point. As killer I get instant lobbies on rank 4-1 all day everyday, no matter what time is it. Live in EU btw.
Also, I clearly remember that before Dedicated Servers, survivor queues were instant but so were the killer ones for me and everyone I know. Dedicated Servers break a lot of things but survivor queues got hit the hardest, not like I wanted to play survivor at the moment but the wait times were the last straw, only playing killer from now on and won't touch survivor until this gets fixed.
Borrowed time buffed along with a freddy nerf, legion nerfed and oni nerfed.
Gee why wouldn't killers want to play? When a swf that slams gens and can sit at a position in most loops to react to what you do and be safe along with 4 second chance perks then dcs spirit and nurse until they're nerfed making killers have little to no options to consistently beat swfs that play optimally and then if theres anything even somewhat good they still dc and can cause a forced de pip, survivors often times will close their game against moris despite having keys and toolboxes, killer seems really fun atm especially with me getting 2 downs at 5 gens and then losing 2 gens by the time I hook both, bring ruin you say? Oh wait, you already spawned on it.

Hillbilly and either completely destroying a group or curving perfectly.

To be fair the Sloppy Butcher bug was in the game a very long time also. It made my game and other crash and it wasn't fixed immediately. Infinite mending Legion was also not a quick fix

It wasnt a quick fix but how long was freddy's fix? Or insta heal changes?

You already mentioned the gen bug. This discussion isn’t gonna go anywhere so I’ll just end it here.
Again I'm not trying to argue or play who can name more bugs, I made the post asking why recent killer issues were fixed at a much slower rate than survivor, peanits explained and gave an analogy. I fail to understand what naming year old issues brings to my question about recent bugs/issues. I understand trying to show context but I dont get what old legion which is mostly agreed to be the worst designed killer ever released and was more or less a bug himself, brings to recent issues I was discussing and look at what happened to legion now.

All I can say is that it's not as simple as it seems. To give an analogy, it's like a house. If a window breaks, it may look really bad, but it's an easy fix. If there's something wrong with the foundation, you've got a big problem on your hands. There's a lot more going on behind the scenes in the game than what you can see, and a problem with a perk doesn't mean it's the perk that's broken, it could be something much deeper which the perk depends on.
I understand that, but it just looks odd looking in which was the main reason for my post. I dont believe one side is extremely favored by the devs now but it just seemed odd that that issuse was addressed immediately compared to others.

Quoting Peanits, One is an easy fix, the other, not so much.
The basement hook bug was the worst thing possible because it rendered you useless on quite possibly your first hook.
I saw a surge of ppl using agitation and iron grasp so they can get you in the basement jfc.
It's not a favoritism thing, that's so childish to say. This is fixing a game breaking bug that ends games faster than survivors do gens without ruin.
For me it got so bad at one point that we had a killer put 3 people in basement. He was running insidious,agi, and IG against a solo Q team lol
As I've said multiple times, I didnt saw it was i specifically specified it looked not was LOOKED i.e. what I saw, not what was fact or what I knew.

What about the crash issues? What about the bug that gets survivors stuck in the healing position or lockers? You’re forced to dc if the healing position bug happens and if the locker one happens then you’re forced to dc or let egc kill you.
Crash issues are universal, and what about the new gen bug?
I'd rather not have a dlc for a year and just have big fixes and core game fixes for 6 months or more.

Yes. There's a lot more that goes into making games than you might think. It's not as simple as going into the code for Wake Up and unchecking a few boxes that accidentally got checked.
I understand that, but it seems less complicated to fix one perk rather than fix something literally one every map, especially with how unusual the fix is.

I thought we were discussing bugs, why change the subject?
Oh bugs? What about hillbillys still existing fake saw? Or being able to hear spirit while in Tr?
What about the multiple maps where the spawns are bugged so a quadruple pallet can spawn? *looking at you coldwind and ormond* whether or not it's a bug, there is no way this was intended,making it a bug.
-
@Peanits said:
Well that's simple. One was an easy fix, the other was not. If we can quickly find what's causing the problem, we're going to fix it as soon as we can. If we can't find what's causing it, we can't fix it.
So the wakeup bug applying to all actions was more complicated than survivors falling the floor after being basement hooked?

Maybe I missed it, i only heard of it before the patch actually dropped. What was the reasoning behind nerfing such a situational perk like balanced landing? I really don't understand this, even one of the maps it's really good on (hawkings) is super killer sided with how the map is laid out and pallet locations are all super unsafe. I'm really curious why this was nerfed, it's mind blowing to me actually. Also I never used the perk so it's not a personal stab to me personally, but I can't really understand the reasoning.
Lampkin, tractors on coldwind, iron works and other big buildings with long drops, survivors would abuse the stagger reduction to essentially create an Infinite.
Its not the perks fault as much as the players/map design.

You do understand some people enjoying trying their best against others doing the same right? DBD is not a competitive game but they exist for the sole purpose of 2 people wanting to try their best and win against someone doing the same.
Alot of people and myself dont enjoying messing around all the time, I think it's fun to face someone and try your best while you know their doing the same, you call killers wanting 4ks pathetic is ridiculously hypocritical, if the killer doesn't get a 4k then someone escaped if you call killers tryhards or sweats for trying to win then you are doing them same by demanding they dont kill 4 so survivors can escape or ie win.
