I am super scared of the upcoming MMR System. All i will verse as a Survivor will be Spirit and Nurse and maybe here and there a Freddy or a Iri Huntress.
This sounds wired i know, but MMR is 2 early. First they should buff (Clown, Legion, Pig, Wraith...) and nerf (Spirit, Nurse, Freddy) so there is actually a chance to get some variety in certain MMR, especially very high and very low MMR.

That's very naive of you to believe. Not everyone will be nice. Not will being nice will stop those who are not nice to change their ways. Say you are nice the entire time. How often did that make another stop being toxic? At that moment when they are already not nice to begin with? How often have you experienced change to being nice after you encounter those being toxic?
Uff, its actually really naive to believe that cause and action does not exist. Because with your statement you just did that.
Everyone can change things, trust me. You might take also a look at history.

If You play friend and I play friendly. What's to stop the next person to not play friendly? Then the one who played friendly meets that one not playing friendly comes here and again we see a newly made forum all about it? Then the solution isn't being a solution at all. Because not everyone will be friendly. Not everyone will ignore being taunted.
This is why I say this forum has become their Diary. To vent their feelings onto. But in the end. No solutions are going to be made.
If you are not toxic in any case, you take action by making toxicity unpopular. Its really not a difficult concept to understand. If you spread out good behavior, people will see that and some might change their attitute. And some can lead to many, and many can lead to almost all of them.
-
@IIITweedleIII said:
Gotta love these forums. It's like everyone complains about what they want, feel about this and that, blames one and the other. And no solutions whatsoever.
I feel like I'm reading everyone's Diary
"Dear Diary,
Today was a bad day for me, this one had me so mad. I think they should realize this BeHaviour isn't good for me. I wish I could have someone to tell all I'm feeling and it just change for the better."
There is a solution: Play friendly, no matter if you are survivor or killer. And also no matter how toxic the other side is. Its the only way.

As killer its a little bit easier to deal with. Toxic swf? Just camp and tunnel one of them. Even if 3 make it out you’ll get so much salt post game. :) if they want to ruin the game for you then you need to ruin the game for them
I had one recently when I was playing old Bubba. I started pitching my tent and bust out the marshmellows. Rest were foolish enough to try and save each other. You should have seen the comments I got in the post-game chat. Its amazing how quickly toxicity can backfire.
Toxic behavior is not the counter to toxic behavior. Its exactly what causes this problem within the community. Endless loop

That what I also think but at the same time it is next to impossible to get rid of entirely.
Those toxic people are protected by being anonymous online and hidden by an alias. There is no real way to punish them in a way that would the general public cease the toxicity like in real life with social standards.
I am all for banning those kind of people (I know my fair share from playing mainly league of legends, one of the biggest toxic swamps in the internet gaming scene). But for most it is too easy to simply create new account etc and enforcing I'd bans is I think either impossible or somehow illegal.
Hard to ban them, since they are not violating any rules... unfortunatly. The overall opinion has to change in the long run, thats the only way to deal with that problem. People need to realise that toxicity and bm has no room when interacting with other people. No matter if it is in sports, online, school, public etc.
We are doing a fine start here by not tolerating it. Its not much, but better then just give a #########.

Well, I am 30 years old and maybe didn't really lost my inner child but I also don't understand your point about people, that don't like online toxicity, are part of the problem.
I understand it in form of "don't react to it, you just show them that it's working". But even then it is quite a far stretch to propose mental treatment.
I also think being toxic online just because noone can punish you, is an attitude that is not admirable.
You might have missunderstood my posting, or my writing is a bit confusing. I never said that people who dont like online toxicitiy are part of the problem, its the way around. People who defend online toxicity or simply act like its no big deal are the main reason why toxcicity in this game (or many other games) is such a spread thing.

Even new, terrible survivors spam tbag/point cause a youtuber was doing it and they thought it was funny. It's not funny it deters so many new players/killers from playing cause it's not longer fun. It is just rage inducing. It literally only spreads more toxicity. It would easily turn a sportsmanlike killer into a tunneling/camping player.
Sorry to say this, but welcome to 2020, a time where toxicity and bm has become standard, even by representatives of this game. All you can hope for is that this is a bad dream and you are about to wake up in 1990.
And by the way, recommending the OP to get mental treatment because he is upset about toxic behaviour shows you are part of the problem and you might be even worse then those toxic people he is complaing about. I know you dont understand what i am saying, but wait a few years until you are out of puberty.

This is gamebreaking for me and i am sure for many people aswell. When i littarly can not see the aura of a survivor in the distance because its 2x2 pixel next or on top of another 10x10 pixels with the same color, perks like BBQ are completly useless. How is this not top priority? Everyone has a 50inch monitor at home?

He is only good in chases, but in pressure he is weak. In matches he can barely manage to do 1k or 2k.
Why would a low pressure killer be at such a high tier?
He is excellent in a chase and therefore his pressure is also good. There is no better way to create pressure like downing and hooking people. But you are right, his mobility is low so he is not that good in forcing survivors off gens. Still, a killer that can kill people in seconds? Cant be that bad, right?
-
Remove or rework Iri head and she is fine.
-
@ Antares2332 said:
What is the weakest killer in your opinion and why?
I personally think it's Deathslinger. Although he has little counterplay, whenever i play against him, I feel that he has little pressure on the map.
The Clown is the worst.
Deathslinger is actually A tier, far from beeing a weak killer let alone the worst killer in the game.
-
Obviously new chase music for different killers is something we always want.
No we dont.
But like all other chase musics are dope but this just feels, weird? I don't know if it's just me
Some are good, some are not so great, and most of them are worse then the original. Dont see the benefit of new chase music just because they are new. New is not always better. Dont believe Barney Stinson.

You can't expect people to play the way you want them to, end of story. Don't cry when you LET someone go and they save their teammate. Even if you *were* right about it being 'abusive/toxic/disgusting', which you aren't, the ultimate point is don't trust people. Even if you had a verbal agreement that she would just escape and not save her teammate, you make sure saving the teammate was out of the equation just to be certain.
There are a million-and-one other ways you can secure the one kill if that's what you wanted so bad, as in OP's situation. Don't let them wiggle off. Drop them and leave them until the one on hook is dead or unreachable. This ######### where people can't take accountability for their own floundering has got to stop.
This game is full of selfish and ignorant people (not only just DbD, but its exceedingly bad in this game), which is a shame, but worse are people like you who defend those actions. And thats the true end of the story. No offense tho, but maybe rething your mentality, you are part of a problem which you clearly dont even see.
Regards

1 and 2 are fine. With quick chat you mean something similar like in CS, right? I dont like that very much.
Instead of 3. some sort of base kindred that lasts for 10 seconds would be better.

Perhaps make it so that Down Under will affect generator speeds by 15/20/25% for 30/45/60 seconds after a survivor is hooked in the basement? This effect can only be triggered after 180/120/60 seconds.
Well if it includes that the killer has to be ~30 meter away from the basement, then something like that would be a good idea.
-
Good question, i assume it will be some kind of ELO System. Maybe a Dev wants to give us information about it?
-
Good ideas and i like them all but Down Under would be to strong for killers like Hag. 25% is just way to much.

I am also a Shadowborn Nurse, and for me Whispers is also some kind of confort perk. Idk both are kinda default for me, maybe a bit biased here.

So you're just gonna ignore the vault buff from a couple months ago, huh? And the fact that most of those oh so terrible survivor nerfs were MUCH needed for balance? K den.
The vault buff? You mean the vault fix? Dedicated servers were overall also a significant killer buff/ survivor nerf and bullshit hits were never attended. Please dont come with the grab bug or anything like that, compared to the BS hits you suffered as a survivor, this is not even worth talking about. It was a server issue and not a ballance problem.
And "much needed" ? Did you read my post? I never said they were not needed (many were indeed needed) but some killer mains claim that survivors did not got nerfed more then killers, which is simply untrue. That was the whole point of the posting, not if nerfs/buffs were needed or not.

You obviously didn't read the second part of what I said to you.
And like Tag said, the survivor is allowed to use the second chance you gave them in whatever way they see fit the same way killers are allowed to run whatever add ons they like, regardless of what anyone thinks of them, good or bad. I may not like some add ons, but you're still allowed to use them.
I read it of course, but i disagree sorry. Your example of not wiggeling or anything like that has nothing to do with sportsmanship. In that case it is up to the killer to do what he want. It would be the same to say about survivors finishing all gens and not giving a free hook or any stuff like that - thats part of the game. The OPs example goes beyond that.
He gave Laurie a free escape. She abused it to safe her teammate which was obviously not what the killer attended. Sure, she "can" do it, but its obviously a very toxic move, because he could have killed her. It happend to a friend of mine once and the reaction of the survivor was kinda like "your fault you trusted me". Thats discusting.
Stuff like that shows the true character, especially in a video game or in the internet, a world with no real consequences, and it is sad that many (
here) obviously are like that. I am not suprised tho, which is extra sad. -

Can a mori let me kill all 4 survivors at once and be found randomly in a killer chest? And can i run a addon on a mori to prevent losing it when opening a black lock or dieing?
Keys are also not fun to go against, but Mori has a way more powerful effect. 4x Key vs Ebony Mori? There is no way more then 1 person will escape and even this is unlikly.
-
There are far to many factors to considere so this poll can not be simply answered with Survivor or Killer.
What rank are we talking about?
SWF or Solo?
Which killer?
Imagine a Rank 1 game with a try hard 4 man SWF Squad against a Clown? Good luck killer, you will need it to even get 1-2 kills.
Imagine a Rank 1 game vs 4 randoms against a good rank 1 Nurse with addons? GG WP 0 gens done all dead.
Imagine a Rank 10 solo game against a semi potent killer? Survivors will have a hard time to get anything done.
This game is really hard to ballance all around the ranks and SWF.

When you're attempting to heal a survivor from Dying State to Injured, do not start healing them if their recovery bar is a low %. The killer sees, on the HUD, that the Bleed Out Timer is paused. You're better off letting them recover it to a higher % and heal them from there. Unless the killer has zero intention of picking the person up (DS) most of the time a killer will come back and just get more momentum off of that slug.
I noticed that, but this seems to be a bug, right? I only realised this recently, maybe i never payed attention but it seems to be new.

The toxic level in this game is discusting. Dont let them bring you down.

She got out and saved her teammate to boot, didn't she? She used her perks to the best of her ability, saved her mate and got out. I'd say she played smart if she was able to get away with it.
This is the same thing as letting the killer catch you and being upset that they didn't give you hatch for not wiggling. Would it be nice? Of course, but they're not obligated to play the way you want them to even if you're being 'nice'. You don't send the killer a salty message for allowing them to kill you just because you think you were 'being nice'.
@DCash They're not 'screwing you' by healing in the gate, they could be forced out. That's extra BPs for them so if they can heal, they will. If you're letting them escape you're only screwing yourself and then have the audacity to complain about it like OP.
@Carpemortum People act like when Myers runs that he doesn't always run the green addon that increases evil gained which makes it go by that much quicker. Kinda like a huntress that runs iri heads is almost guaranteed to have infantry belt.
Is there some secret move you can pull to suddenly make it so that he can't stalk you with little to no LOS blockers? And when you can stalk *through* half the things you shouldn't like the smallest gaps through killer shack or straight through a solid object (which before you say doesn't happen, there's plenty of video proof), what then, just don't be seen, ever?
Saying 'don't run in a straight line/don't let him stalk you' is equivalent to saying 'if you don't want to get DS'd, don't tunnel' when we all know that guy that likes to force the killer to eat DS or waste his time trying.
Let's not forget how buggy this game is, had a Myers who messaged me after the match to talk about how funny it was that he hit tier 3 because he was stalking me through a locker I was in when he came around. He was nice enough to realize that was stupid, shouldn't have happened and tiered up but left me alone and went after someone else.
That ultra rare is annoying, his other is just straight bs. Luckily I hardly see him for it to be of any consequence since people prefer to play Ghostface with noed nowadays.
She got out because the killer let her escape (wiggle off) "I let you go Laurie...". His good will then got abused by the survivor if i have not totally misunderstood the OP.
Where i come from this is not called smart, this is called bad sports.

I only know Xbox and PC. Both terrible

So for most killers I’ve been running a setup of BBQ, discordance, and then two slowdown perks. I prefer Surge and Sloppy because they’re passive but I’m wondering what other people use or suggest?
I know Pop is good but I really dislike travel and kick time, plus it feels like the first gen I find is at like 10% anyways so it’s a waste and on my way to the next gen I see someone to chase.
Pop and Corrupt is the best combo imho. You can also use Ruin and Surveillance on high movitilty killers, force them off gens. But risky, once ruin is gone, you also loose the most value of Surveillance.
I dont rate Slopy that high, it does not really work on better ranks because people simple dont heal that much because they are confident in looping you only with one heath state. Thana is a better option.
Kind regards

I'm just curious as to why?
He ends 1v1 chase very fast like many of the other S/A tier killers. (ex. spirit, nurse)
Thoughts?
all i can think is dedicated servers screwing him. but he still has the potential to land shots that no one else can take.
In my opinion i think he is at least A tier.
His chase and kill potential is S+, but his mobility and the fact that he usually is only 1v1ing makes him only A tier. People who think he is lower then B tier just assume that Deathslinger is doing mistakes and dont rate his potential.

That's a bit unrealistic imho.
Extremly hard only a master will have a chance to do this, but not impossible. Keep in mind that people already did similar stuff (mentioning FunGoose once more, 117 4Ks in a row with Plague, no offerings no addons)

Its a crutch meaning you can rely on it even if you fail. Not a good perk to rely on. Noed itself is d tier.
It does not help you get better at the game for sure, but its power is undenyable, especially against solo survivors. I dont run noed because i want to earn my victory, but Noed is for sure not weaker then perks like Spies from the Shadow, Remember me or Iron Grasp. Just because it has a really bad reputation does not make it a very effective perk for Trapper?!
-
I hope you reported the hacker postgame.
About the rank... does not matter the slightest. I assume you are newer to the game, right? When i started playing i was also worry about the rank a little bit, but give it 1-2 more months and you will realise how unimportant rank in this game is.

I Disagree with you on the ruin placing its A Tier if you know how to juggle survivors off gens Otz has shown how strong it can be on him.
Also NOED being even close to S Tier on him is just incorrect id say Ruin A Tier and NOED D or C Tier.
I dont know about Ruin tho, it is really not that great on Trapper imho. He has low mobility, needs prep time... there are many killers where ruin is better. Trapper has hard time forcing people off gens. In the late game it can be useful, but lets be frank, how often does ruin survivor early and middle game? 2-3 of 10 times? Maybe.
What makes you think noed is not a great perk on Trapper?

most of the time killers mains are right and one of the reasons why is because most of us play both sides unlike a good chunk of the survivor community so we know this game the best. Is there biased people out there? of course there are that doesn't change and the nerf ds posts show that.
Like most times a good killer complains about a map or gen rushing or both they have a point. I got lerrys as legion earlier today and even tho i ended chases quickly i couldn't apply pressure with frenzy because of lerrys layout and because they were not healing and focused on gens so i lost. most killers would fail to beat that and if it was against some survivors who could do good in a chase almost all killers would lose because lerrys is a horrible map for killer. Is that me or anyone being biased? no thats just the horrible balanced state of this game.
Go play a lot of killer, get to high ranks or face good survivors with the new mmr or whatever it is and when you go against that one team who knows what they are doing try and say survivors need help because they really dont. is camping and tunneling(the only issues you can complain about) toxic and a little unfair of course it is but what should the devs do to fix it without it being abused?
Posts like this create topis like this. The assumption that only the "killer mains" play both roles and therefor understand the game is ridiculous.
-
If you want to do something nobody has ever succeeded, make your own challange.
I am positiv, even the best struggle with one of those examples:
- 100 4Ks in a row playing the Clown or Leatherface (on Rank 1 ofc)
- Getting a 4K as perkless Burgerking Myers against a Rank 1 4-Man Squad.
After you have done one of those, i bow to you.
-
Is hitting Rank 1 an accomplishment
Depends on what you define as accomplishment i guess. If you ask "Am i one of the best now" i have to say Absolutly Not. The skill ceiling within rank 1 is probably as big as between rank 20 to 2 (no exaggeration). And to reach the very top is for sure harder then reaching rank 1.
For both roles by the way.
