Thats why every killers have to be brought to Spirit LV + they HAVE to buff solos somehow. Then this game would actually be balanced. But the thing is, how will they buff solo without voice chat?
I would love proximity voice chat, but they said they wont add this. :/
This game is about the hunt. Is there a good chase against a Spirit? Not really if you ask me, over super quick. They should actually go in the other direction rather then bringing other killer to Spirit level. I would rather like to see SWF nerfed then having to face killer that make looping impossible
Long and intense chases are the only reason this game is popular. Killing that off is killing the game. If i would run every day only against Nurse and Spirit, i would be gone ages ago.

What? He is one of best players in world. Now - you against this SWF team, can you do better? No. This video is proof of one thing - SWF should not be in game.
One of the best players in the world??? He is not even one of the best content creators and no where near on tournament level. ######### is wrong with people saying stuff like that lmfao.
And can i do better? LOL its hardly possible to do a lot worse then he did. He had like 1 hook in the entire match.

"Being rank 1 doesn't mean you are good"
It just means you are better than 96.2% of the playerbase, no biggie.
This narrative of "rank" doesn't mean skill always makes me laugh, a challenger in LoL is obviously not skilled, a global elite on CS:GO is obviously not skilled, grandmasters in starcraft are definitely not skilled ! Those people just play a lot ! Btw playing a lot means building experience which means... tadaaaa! getting better! Incredible!
Inb4 "Playing a lot doesn't always mean getting better some people just play a lot and don't learn!" Right, that is true, those people are stuck below rank 10, they aren't somehow competing against SwFs and rank 1 nurses.
Just because you can't achieve it means you have to tear down the people who do. And if you do, stop this humbling nonsense of "it's not hard" nobody's buying it but yourself.
Rank 1 does NOT mean you are good. It CAN mean you are a good player it can also mean you are a boosted play and it can mean you are a bad player. I have good examples who play with me frequently who are Rank 1 but dont even know how to loop the killer, look behind, dont know more then 20% of the perks etc. Yes, beginners can be rank 1. There are friends who barly have more then 50 hours in DbD and are rank 1. I became rank 1 when i had no idea what BBQ is. I repeat, rank 1 is not an indicator of skill.
And better then 96% of the playerbase? First, show me these statistics please and second, probably most people who buy this game (like in every game) just play a few rounds and then let it go. A dedicated playerbase compared to the overall playerbase might be indeed 90 to 10%.
And those comparisons with CS GO LOL etc are laughable, just because it is a ranking system does not mean it is a working ranking system. Even devs (Peanuts if i am correct) posted that it is not a true ranking system but rather benefits players who play a lot. Sorry that you dont understand that and it obviously is crushing your ego for whatever reason.

Tunneling and camping killer leard to toxic survivor lead to toxic killer lead to toxic survivor etc etc

You can't get better than rank 1. He loses mostly due to keys, playing a viewer build / killer, or due to extreme sweaty SWF. To be fair he does seem to go against more sweaty SWF groups than any other killer main I see.
I watch Scorpionz, Tru3, ZuBat, even ScottJund and no one else seems to get as many toxic and sweaty survivors and Tru3 does. Due to that, I think a lot of people have the misconception that Tru3 isn't that good, when in reality its in my opinion that he is a very good killer, it's just he has to sweat a lot more than the others.
You cant get better then rank 1? My friend, Rank 1 is where the game really starts to become slightly competetive. The skillrange within rank 1 is probably pretty much like the skillrange between 20-2. Beeing rank 1 does not mean you are a good player now.
About sweaty SWF teams: Because everytime he is struggeling, he goes against a strong SWF team.. in his eyes. When you watch better players it seems like they dont go against the super strong players all the time, because they make it look easy to win against decent survivors. Compare movement from a player like Umbra, Zub or Fungoose with TrueTalent (which is one of his main problems) and it should be pretty obvious why games are much harder for him.
His lack of skill compared to stronger content creators make it look like he is all the time up against the best, while he is not. His ego is a big issue.
I watched him when i started playing the game, but realised relatively quick that he does the same mistakes over and over all the time, and he is not learning from them, most likely because of his mindset.
I am not saying dont watch him, but he is a very bad example when it is about ballancing the game.

I know isn't it funny? People always try to say he sucks and there are better killers than him, but by better killers they mean killers they agree with and think SWF aren't an issue.
Most people don't like Tru3 because he speaks frankly and honestly about the glaring issues in the game, both Survivor and Killer side.
The problem with True is that he is not really getting any better since years and he has a hard time adjusting to changes in general. And last but not least, he is ALWAYS blaming the game for his mistakes, which make him look like a fool.

I Mean both of those killers Are considered op and need nerfs by the community like tru3 said. The one is literally spirit. Lol
I know, i am just wondering what this video actually should mean? Whats the topic, the message behind this? It is not a catch question or anything, i simply dont get the point of posting one video of an overrated, mediocre player who is playing the Wraith against a strong team. Obviously he will loose since all 4 of the survivors were more skilled and it is no hot news that Wraith is one of the weaker killer.
Sidenote: I won against a 30K hours Tournament Squad with Wraith and there are better Wraith players out there. Is Wraith now viable?
-
Oh and by the way. Also Tournament teams in tryhard mode get destroyed, even by players who are not on tournament level.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP6ODiVN71E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpzeSJzJjJw -
What should this video proof?
That Wraith is not a good killer? We already know that.
That a super sweaty SWF Tournament team is playing the game much better then a mediocre killer like Truetalent? No suprise at all.
That it is unfun to get called out by some kids who only have their video game in life for their ego? Nothing new either.

I'm genuinely curious where Puppers would fall in either listing. He's primarily Survivor and often pretty good at loops. Just as importantly, to my mind, when he messes up, he often realizes exactly why. He'll acknowledge he played a loop incorrectly or got greedy for that one extra loop.
Probably somewhere around C-D

You're in for a very rough time if Clown is who you struggle against. Gen rush is his only weakness.
Why? Many beginners struggle against Clown or Wraith. They are hard to deal with when you dont know how they work and how to play against. Check out older threads about clown, even months after release of him, many people were convinced he is overpowered and should get nerfed.

Imagine flaming a new player for absolutly no reason.

You welcome.
Trust me, Clown is only very hard to deal with when you are not that experienced against him yet. Once you figure out how to deal with him, he is the most braindead killer to go against.
Here is also a video of a strong survivor who is getting chased by a Clown. Dont expect to be that good after you watched it, but see it as some inspiration.

Hear me out. I like that some killers are strong and you can adjust playstyle. However, I don't know how, but regardless of what perks i'm using (or even the randoms i play with) Clown always cuts me down fast.
I've tried being sneaky with Nea, Sabo with Jake, Quick'n'Quiet with Meg and Loud and brutal with David. Somehow I still die quickly???
Any tips or thoughts about this?
Hello
Do you know what looping a killer is? If so, you dont do it against the Clown, at least not on most tiles. You might be able to run around once at some tiles, but thats it. In short, you have to give the pallet quicker then against other killers. But you can efford it, because he is extremly slow (reloading bottle costs him a lot of time) and can not provide a lot of pressure.
My advise against Clown: If you are not familiar with looping and the maps in General, use the perk "Windows of opportunity". Work on Gens as fast as possible when you are not in chase and when oyu are, give the pallet quicker then you normally would against many other killers.

Assuming 16% per attempt... thats 64.87% chance of success. I get your point though that its still a decent chance of failing. The strength lies in no one having downtime off gens. After the first hook the game slows down SIGNIFICANTLY due to 1 person being on hook and one person having to get off a gen to go save them. You change from 1 person being chased and 3 on gens to 1 person getting chased and 1 on gens. If you can simply self unhook as soon as the killer walks away... that means you can maintain the high genspeed that would normally slow down after the first hook.
Thats true, but yet again you risk loosing one life AND that your teammates have to safe you. I mean, dont get me wrong, when it works, it is great of course for the exact reason you named, but when it does not, you and the team is in a terrible spot. You just dont gain anything with that method in the long run, thats the point i try to make.

Chance wise its like rolling a 6 sided dye trying to land on 1...and having 6 attempts at getting it. Thats actually pretty good.
Like i said, its more or less a 50/50. But you also risk the remaining 50% of your life by it. I dont think it is worth it. Especially when you also put in calculation that you have to use a perkslot and the offerings for it. And the time you might safe because a teammate does not have to unhook you is also only in 50% of the time.

its not one luck offering, it’s stacked versions of the good ones.
If you can’t see how stacking all of that Luck makes Slippery meat, DS, unbreakable a pretty strong build I can’t help you
It has been ages since i had probability calculation at study but I think you overestimate luck offerings and Slippery Meat quite a bit. It is also definitly no where near a Deliverance. Your normal chance of Kobe is 4% and if they all bring the best luck offering, a single self unhook attempt is still only 16%.
This means, it would take 13 attemps to just have a 90% chance of kobe which is still not a guaranteed kobe. Having more or less a 50/50 when you do the 6 attemps to risk beeing on deathook if it fails is absolutly not worth it.
In my opinion you wasted your time camping the survivor. Let them kobe, they gain nothing if they try.
-
It is trash, but i had a few fun games by using Object of Obsession, Open-Handed and Sole Survivor.
-
Nurse of course.
A chase against a good spirit can last 30-40 seconds, against a good Nurse you are dead within 15-20. On top of that, Nurse can immediatly down the next person, slug, snowball...
Spirit is more annoying because she feels you are not able to do anything against her, while Nurse gives you the illusion of counterplay (which is... an illusion)
The reason why some people think Spirit is more broken then Nurse is that she is more common and much more easy to play.

So you are trash when you try to secure your last kill when the gates are open?
Also you are trash and get bullied and have no power in real life just because you camp?
Oh boi, grow up and get out of the internet.
I dont know if the killer is trash in general but apparently .. like i said... he lost the round really bad. If not, there is no reason to camp.
Yes, i assume that people who facecamp or people who are toxic in general are weak. If you have self confidence, there is no reason to be bm to anybody, no matter if we talk about RL or Internet. Usually only people who are not satisfied with themself try to ruin other peoples experience, in whatever scenario.
Thanks for the amazing conversation!
-
I dont know why people do it, i guess it gives them the illusion of some sort of power they dont have in RL. Probably they got bullied and want to let off their frustration on somebody. The even more sad part is that they dont realise how embaressing they are.
If i get facecamped after a 5 gen run, its the ultimate trophy for me and the killer is just feeding into it even more.
If i get facecamped from the beginning on for no reason, he is just throwing the game and gives me time to do something really quick.
If i get facecamped when the gates are powered they admit with it that they lost the game horribly.
Whatever reason they might have, camping make them look even weaker if they would not have camped. On top of that, they get less bloodpoints aswell. The best part of it is when they get their 1K and come up with something like gg ez. They usually go totally nuts when you just response gg wp. Its the best feeling you can possibly get in this game 😁
-
I might come up with something else when i am at home (got a list with ~100 builds of any kind) but for now i have this for you
- Medkit with Styptic Agent
- Saboteur
- Breakout
- Quick & Quiet
- Head On
Cant really think of a more annoying survivor then that.
-
Welcome to DbD and thanks for your input but i dont get it to be honest.
Why would anyone want to know right from the getgo how a game works ? Isnt it one if not the best part of a video game experience to explore what you can do and what you can not? I would have felt robbed if the game teaches me in a tutorial or by some youruber how to do everything instead of realising that by my own. That is also why i normally dont watch youtube videos or streams of a game the first few weeks because i want to experience it by myself.
And how is this game not intuitive? It is the most intuitive experience since Tetris. A killer is coming... and he is there to do bad things with you. First you will try to hide and use your inviroment for stealth, then you will realise that there are defense mechanics and later you will combine and expand your knowledge.
EDIT
About your overall thoughts
Overall issues with the game:
I'll say this right now, matchmaking in DBD is the worst I have experienced in any game (Games I compare it to: LoL, Dota2, TFT, Valorant, Overwatch, HotS, Dirty Bomb, CSGO, and many more). This is before and after the recent MMR changes and is one of the big reasons I feel like I won't pick the game up again any time soon. I would constantly face survivors and killers way above or below my skill level. It made playing feel awful as I got killers or survivors who punished me trying new things extremely heavily or ones that weren't even a minor challenge to play against. This doesn't even take into account SWF groups or any other out of game advantage.
I agree, the matchmaking is really not that great, but lets see what MMR does in the long run.
Bugs - I have experienced so many bugs from the killer being stuck in map terrain to survivors being unable to be hit. Some of these may have been hacks but either way the game needs to address the lack of polish DBD is after 4 years of being released. Maybe they should do that than release another licensed killer.
In almost 3K hours i have not run into "gamebreaking" bugs a single time. Yes there are bugs and sometimes they cause funny or unfunny moments (especially when you loose your life because of one of them) but for me all in all this is not such a big problem as many claim.
Visuals/Sounds - The game varies in visual fidelity from alright to awful. Animations are consistently broken, along with sounds. Again, this game really needs to be polished more.
The Visuals and especially the sounds are great, i dont know what you have. On top of that, they are working right now emphatically on it. Check out those screenshots, looks really nice to me.
Lack of game modes - No training mode, no map seed selector. DBD has no interesting new modes or ways to play, it simply has only one game mode, this would ordinarily be fine, but with the amount of existing issues, not having other game modes feels like the developers' main focus is not on DBD.
We dont need more game modes and especially not a training mode. Experience it in a round, thats all what the game is about.
Leveling up - The blood web is an awful way to level up. Instead of interesting new perks or add-ons to play differently we see a large amount of items that do nothing. Mist offerings and luck offerings all feel awful to see and even BP offerings are annoying as its just (here is a way to spend BP to hopefully get more BP). The leveling system in itself isn't enjoyable as it hurts new players badly. I hate playing new characters now, not because they themselves couldn't be fun, but being stuck with one perk and no add-ons or items is not enjoyable to play and it takes way too long to level a character up while trying to get a collection of add-ons you actually want to use. Not to mention prestige takes all your items and perks away meaning if you want additional cosmetics you need to suffer through playing that way again.
I like the bloodweb as it is. Without the grind, the game would not nearly have that many dedicated players aswell.
Killers - I'll be honest, I hate seeing more licensed killers. Why can't we actually have more killers designed from the ground up to be inside DBD, same with the maps and survivors. It isn't fun to play those maps, and isn't much fun to play against/with most those killers, Myers is the only one I really enjoyed as his mechanics work properly. Ghostface on the other hand has so many bugs and issues it sucks to play against him.
Licensed killers made and still makes the game big. And there is not a single bad designed licensed killer so far, actually all of them are very true to the movie/series/video game template. Excellent job.
Currently, the game won't even let me play killer, I have queued for 30 minutes 3 separate times and on 3 different days and found no matches, but I can find one within a few minutes as survivor.
I don't want to tell others how to enjoy the game, or that they should fix what I typed about above, but I want other people to know and hopefully understand my experience as a new play and ideally bring me back into the game somehow.
That is very strange. No matter what role i play, once i press ready and i want to get myself a coffee, i am already pretty much in the game when i come back. Guess this is more off a problem for console somehow, Xbox and PS4 suffer from longer queue times then PC. I hope they bring crossplay anytime soon. Bigger Player base = better matchmaking/shorter queue time.

The issue I have with that is that I just am not quick enough on the second blink to find the survivor since she goes into stutter mode in about half a second :D
But like you said, maybe that's just a practice thing. I'll give it a try at the very least!
Many Nurse players use Shadowborn. Try that one out.
Also, many Nurse players including myself turn the camera down a little bit during the second blink to see the smaller survivor better.
-
- The first and best tip i can give you is not to use your first blink to blink directly on top of them but rather 2-3 meters next to them. Use your second blink to get the hit.
- If you loose LOS (which is the only defence survivior kinda have against Nurse) blink to the position where you lost LOS. Use your second blink then for the hit.
- Practice Practice Practice

When someone is coming up with a topic like this, why do people always argue that the other side also has potentially unfair stuff? Why not just stick with the topic?
Its not about DS or Unbreakable, its about NOED. It might be true that DS can be unfair aswell and should be adressed, but why use it as a "counter argument" for Noed?
Same with the endless Mori / Key discussion. "Key is fine because other side has Mori". 😩

Not a good idea. Rariity does not tell anything about the quality of a perk.
Better idea would be to ballance perks.

Darkness Among Us-
JeffJesus was a great addition. The only reason it's not in top position is because initial launch Legion I love them to pieces they are literally my other main but they god they were bad. All could have been forgiven and this chapter would have been one tier up if it wasn't for Ormond.Dont see any reason this Chapter beeing that high up. Legion 1.0 is infamous for beeing one of the biggest fails in DbD History, Ormond is often considered to be one of the most survivor sided / unballanced maps and Jeff ... well... the least played character overall. The only really good thing from this chapter is Discordance. D Tier for me.

Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it. The list was made with mastery in mind, but also with human error. Nurse is slightly lower than Spirit and Freddy because of how punishing making a mistake is. Billy is High B because his addons suck and hes practically worthless on some maps. Hag can be S tier if survivors aren't on comms but shes high A because of comms, I don't see enough comm survs to make it massively affect her tier. Demo has good map traversal and decent chase potential, so thats why hes B. Plague is B because if done right survs are stuck between giving you the best ranged attack in the game or are forever broken, shes held back by setup and gen rushing.
It is true that mistakes can be very punishing as nurse, but i had in mind that a really good nurse is simply not making those mistakes which you experience against those really good nurse players every once in a while.
Billy is like i said still more or less the same and a strong billy (i faced a couple) shows his potential and how good he can be in the right hands.
Against Plague its really easy to win. Just dont cleanse, and if you do use a fountain thats in an era where Plague gets no benefit. She is kinda like the Legion over time, gets easy first hits, but then she has no real power. It all comes down how survivors play and if they play correct, she is relativly hopeless. She might be even one of the worst killer imho.
Demo for me personally struggels to much at many tiles and his ability to port is compared to freddys port a bit weak.

My thoughts
We assume that we talk here about potential, so no difficulty involed and we assume the killer who playes a certain killer is an absulte master with it.
Everything is debateable, but not Nurse. Nurse is 100% #1, not even close 2nd.
Billy is for sure still A Tier, nothing to crazy that has been changed but some of his addons really.
Hag A Tier is debateable. She can be really strong, but try to play against a 4man squad on coms. You get destroyed. Really depends who you verse, but against the best, maybe even OoO you wont stand a chance with her, no matter how good you place your traps.
Demogorgon and Plage are a little bit 2 high, i would swap them with Myers.
Other then that its a good list.

It's true, I'm noob and I reach rank 1 in 35 hours, it's no fair ...I know
It has nothing to do with fairness, its just the ranking system that was more like a grind system. Reaching rank 1 (or rank 3 on your case) means you played a lot during that season. Every potatoe can reach rank 1 just by playing much. Dont want to belittle your effort, but you are not a good survivor now.

- Monto rank B
- Truetalent rank A
- Ayrun rank S
- ZubatLEL rank S
- No0b3 rank A
- Jendenise rank C
Let me fix this for you
- Ochido rank F
- Monto rank E
- Truetalent rank D
- Ayrun rank A
- ZubatLEL rank A
- No0b3 rank C
- Jendenise rank - (not playing anymore)
How can anybody think Ochido is a decent or even a god tier looper when he is failing against rank 20 killer all the time? That guy is honestly trash and does more mistakes in his highlight videos then i do on a really bad day.
The only S Tier looper i have ever seen is Fungoose, and even he is debateable.

You so potato, NEVER SAVE NEXT TO KILLER WITHOUT PROPER PERK, AND NOT EVERYONE HAVE DS
You are either trolling or stupid like a rotten peace of bread.

There is no way the system actually considers such special situations. I would be surprised if it even considers your teammates and the Killers rating when elaborating your performance.
Knowing BHVR for 4 years now, I'd say it's as simple as this:
Survivors rating vs the Killers rating
- If you die, your rating decreases
- If you escape, your rating increases
That could be possible, but that might be the saddest rank system ever. I trade myself so often for the team so it would be nice to know to get any feedback. With the emblem system you knew at least what helps you to pip.

As far as I understand, ideally it pits people on a somewhat equal skill level together. If you do better than your teammates (based on score and/or survival rate) then you "rank up" , if not then you "rank down".
Well thats the thing. What is "better then the other teammates". It smells all little bit like they keep the Pip system but dont show rank anymore.

Use borrowed and no problem with campers
First you flame because of a perk, now you want me to use a perk. Pathetic.
