  • Not saying that the new ones are bad but the Original are still the best so far (so i voted for Freddy)

That's all well and good for the Clown, but his main drawback is reloading the bottles. Getting a lucky hit from 20 meters away does what it already did? Alerts the survivor and allows them time to run away. And with add-ons it's just exposed and slow 100% of the time. That's still low on the skill ladder. Killers need to be looked at as a whole, add-ons included.

And what about the other killers like Pig or Trapper who already benefit from a powerful ability but have terrible RNG rolls at times that make it almost pointless? Where's the long range skill shots for them?

Yeah a gen debuff is a nice addition to his power. But it could also easily be a general killer debuff. Any injured survivor has a generator speed debuff. There, killer now has an advantage tied to their only goal. Would make healing a priority, also further distracting survivors.

Its not about my examples, i only wanted to talk about the direction of how to buff a killer. In our Clowncase buff bottles so good hits are more rewarding. This is important so the ballance between [unexperienced killer vs unexperienced survivors] and [experienced killer vs experienced survivors] wont be interrupted.

A meaningless phrase; buff weaker killers. Buff solo. How?

You want Clown going 120% walk speed? Does he kick gens harderer? How will they not completely break the game? Lots of people can't deal with those "weak" killers.

They could easily buff all killers by adding a fatigue mechanic to running survivors. Do you want that?

Solo gets psychic powers to see the killer position and free bond and deja vu for everyone? Why have anything shrouded in mystery? Might as well have a waypoint marker for the hatch at the end too.

Face it. Swf ruins the feel and dread of going against the unknown. It's safety in a game where you're supposed to be getting hunted down. But it's also the main draw of the game as well. What a paradox.

Auras in general need a nerf, not just OoO.

Buffing killer in general has to be buffs that help advanced killer defeat advanced survivor. So it has to be a buff that wont hurt unexperienced players.

For example the Clown: Make him a 120% MMS killer would make him better on the top but also on the botton of the skill ladder. For the top it might be okay, but for the bottom not, they already struggle against the current version of clown.

This means it has to be something which does not affect base stats, but rather has to do something with skill. In our example the cCown, it should be something with his bottle throws. A unexperienced killer wont benefit from that because he is not that good yet (and wont hurt unexperienced survivors) but a good killer will benefit from it against good survivors.

To round this up just a few examples what i mean:

    • When you directly hit a survivor with a bottle from 20 Meters, the survivor is exposed for 30 seconds.
    • Survivors who are intoxicated suffer from a repair and healing penaltiy for 20 seconds.

  • First of all, forget the idea to nerf SWF. This will never happen and also should not be the case for obvious reasons.

In my opinion, solo players need a small buff. I suggest a nerfed version of kindred, which lasts for 10 seconds. This will help solo players to make a decission.

Said that, every solo survivor who is not super confortable yet should run kindred for his own safty.

  • The ranking system is simply not rewarding optimal play. Loop the killer for 5 gens and then die on first hook to noed? Likely -1, maybe blackpip. Have a long and very close game? Pip or doublepip. 🤷‍♂️

I also have my doubt that MMR will change that a lot since i dont see how this might work. Its easy to loop a killer for a long time when you drop every single pallet pretty fast, but it is hard (and only really good, real rank 1 survivors are able do this) to milk every loop as much as possible, loose the killer etc.

Same goes for killer... stomp them within 2 minutes will give you nothing but a minus pip or blackpip if you are lucky, but when you play with your food and let them a chance (=playing bad intentionally) then you get rewarded with pips. 🤷‍♂️

This leads to a very big skillgap within the red ranks, even on rank 1. R1 can mean you are really good at the game, it can also mean you are bad (yes, i mean potatoe bad :P) and played a lot.

My conclusion is that the MMR system HAS to take into account how you perform in a chase and how competetive you are. It can not be a simple "survivor looped killer for a minute so he is decent"... it has to put into account what he did during that. Did he drop a pallet during that minute? Was he leading the killer towards a generator where somebody was working on? I know, this will never ever be possible, but unless we dont get anything that works kinda that way, rank wont mean anything ever.

one killer and 4 survivors work together to see who's "team" gets out or dies

That sounds really cool not gonna lie. I could imagine a big map with 14 generators, 7 gens in Blue color, 7 in Red. Team blue has to do blue gens, and team red has to do red gens. 4 exit gates, the team who gets out first wins.

This game is not old, not popular, but with the time it will change. I meet a lot of level 1-5, never the same player (no costum clothes)... I would like the source of the 250 players..🤣

"Also that is just your opinion and i also fear you might be pretty alone who would claim that those 3 are not very powerful. It might be that you are a console killer and you can not abuse the power of Deathslinger because of the controler or whatever, but yes, on PC he is just sick in chases. Same with Oni and Pyramid Head, they are just really really strong, i dont know how strong a killer has to become that he is good in your eyes."

It is not the material that makes the person but the person. With Ghostface, for example, I was winning a lot of games but I was also getting reports my Xbox profile was almost on "avoid me".. Against a team that tests you and knows the game you can have a mouse and a keyboard you won't stand a chance (except for one mistake), that's why you win their mistakes, not because you're good, it's the game 1 vs 4.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1553487#Comment_1553487

Exactly, and it's a small part of the DBD population that migrates on RE resistance... tomorrow maybe it will be much more than that ! How many players do I come across with DBD perks on their profiles?

    Players games 🤣

Ps: I don't know why the developers have created this new killer, I don't understand anything i'm confused...

I posted the source... but okay, here we go again. 250 on average, 517 peak. Numbers dont lie.

There is much more than 5k on Resident evil, count the likes on tweets and facebook !

40k on DBD ? Mmh... but it's an old game and the game is getting empty of its killers (like me, I was there for two years and the nerve of the nurse disgusted me). I find the people from DBD on Resident evil Resistance, why don't they play DBD? The game is not known yet it was only born 4 months ago, but with some updates it will make people talk about it.

Resistance is a recent game it's not a failure it's just... unbalanced (just like DBD in a way). The reason people like it is Mastermind rated, fun, original. DBD has nothing fun for killers since the gameplay becomes slow and impossible to master (a thought for the nurse who finds herself ultra limited, addons addicted), the gameplay is frustrating and boring.

The new killer is fast but is boring to master, and then get caught on the walls before hitting ok, no more frustration... That's why players give up.

Deathslinger is easily contrapted, Oni too, the slightest obstacle makes these killers the worst killers they depend on their powers!

For the rework of the game I don't know if it will save him but for me it will take much more than that to get back to it... already the nurse, I bought cosmetics and I find it terrible to forget him because his gameplay is only playable for some PC players!

But yes is so crazy, the evolution of games is very crazy 😀

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1552928#Comment_1552928

I like RE before DBD, but Resistance is more fun. DBD is original but It's getting tiring, and it's really a waste since this game is a very good basic game!

    Translate sorry

There is much more than 5k on Resident evil, count the likes on tweets and facebook !

Are there? Maybe more popular on console, the only numbers i have are the steam charts and there it does not look as RE would be any competition to DbD. 250 players right now playing it..

40K are online on average, only steam version. So we can expect that a Million or even more players are currently playing Dead by Daylight. And it is growing.

I also dont think that we have less people who play killer, actually i have longer Queue time when i want to play killer which is a good indicator that the game needs more survivor then acutally killer.

And about the popularity of RE Resistence.. maybe .. i dont know, but it looks like it is already pretty much dead (on PC at least) we are really only talking about a VERY small game compared to DbD. But who knows, maybe it will explode somehow.

Resistance is a recent game it's not a failure it's just... unbalanced (just like DBD in a way). The reason people like it is Mastermind rated, fun, original. Well, that is your opinion and thats fine, but when you check reviews of DbD for example on Steam (very positive, even overwhelming at times) or other plattforms, there are not many who think like you.

The new killer is fast but is boring to master, and then get caught on the walls before hitting ok, no more frustration... That's why players give up.

Maybe, i can not tell... he is not even live yet, neither has anybody played him enough to really make a fair statement about him. Remember back when people said that clown was OP? Or that Nurse was too weak (with up to 7 blinks btw).. i for my part wait until i will judge.

Deathslinger is easily contrapted, Oni too, the slightest obstacle makes these killers the worst killers they depend on their powers!

Also that is just your opinion and i also fear you might be pretty alone who would claim that those 3 are not very powerful. • Welcome back

First of all about Resident Evil:

The game was like expected a big fail. There are currently 250 people playing it, while almost 40.000 play DBD.. on average. Not saying that many players = good game, but DBD players might have tried it out but most of them obviously did not stay for very long.

About ballancing: I dont know what you want, they released nothing but killer buffs in 2020. Deathslinger is hated because survivor dont have any power in a chase, same with Pyramid Head who is very strong... try him out. Same with Oni..very powerful and very punishing too.

And the maps... Many got reworked, are much smaller now, they removed many strong windows and strong loops in general, more Deadzones got created etc.

Also genspeed got nerfed a bit, on top of many other nerfs like the toolbox nerf (they are pretty useless now compared to old toolboxes)

The new maps are very killer friendly aswell: Saloon is Killer sided, Hawkins is very killersided, the new Yamaoka is killer sided.. well Midwich is a total mess... its just horrible design.

New Killer... yea i dont know, lets see how he plays when he is live, but just from my very first impression i am also not very excited 2bh.

The toxicness in DbD is unfortunatly still a thing, probably will always be. I dont know if Devs can (or actually want to) change that in the new future.

  • @CashelP14 said:

Hex Undying is probably really good with Ruin. Also if it works with Haunted Grounds then it is extremely good. It's really good with NOED also.

Lastly imagine it with Thrill of the hunt. You can tell when someone touches your totem and you can tell when they commit to it. Also if they finally destroy it then it'll respawn again.

It might be indeed really good with Haunted Grounds, but i dont see the point with Ruin. As a killer you have to run 3 or 4 perks just for your ruin safety but the problem with ruin is that you have to protect your gens all the time to get value out of it. Protecting gens simply wont allow you to protect your totems. When i use Ruin its a gamble, i simply dont have the time to care for it. It either works or dont - a reason why i never pair it with Thrill of the Hunt.

Maybe i am totally wrong here, but i dont see myself waste another perk slot for Undying when paired with Ruin. Devour or Hounted Grounds might be a different story tho.

Nope. The programmers at Behaviour are fixing it. (Hopefully)

The people using the bug to get an advantage in games are abusing it.

You can report a bugs existence without using it yourself.

Yes but people first have to find those bugs and show how terrible they can be. Stuff like that is very useful information for BHVR. Its the main reason we have the PTB.

  • @SirCracken said:

I just had a lovely game where I ran into a swf who knowingly sent me to a certain map so they could exploit a game breaking bug in which the survivors couldn't be hurt by the killer in any way.

Amazingly, they still lost. Because of course the people who are sadistic enough to abuse an invincibility bug are also too dumb to win the game despite using it.

Why people would want to use a bug like that in the Public Test Build is honestly beyond me.

If you know what I'm talking about, do not use it or my ghost make your house lights flicker and drive up your electricity bill.

It is the PTB... "abusing" stuff like that is fixing it.

Well that is a little insulting but however you are right that there are potatos on console but the same is said for pc players. As for the perks everyone has their own cup of tea so just let em be and do the best you can and youd be suprised at how many good console players there are so please i am asking you dont judge all based on a few.

Of course, every Plattform has good and bad players, but the potatoe % on console seems to be much higher.

I dont say a word nor would i treat them different, but isnt it the topic here what it is all about? So also perks are a problem, especially those who have only the purpose to cost the team a lot of time.

Like i said, i dont say every console player is bad, i know a few good one, but the majority i have played with so far were not great at all.

And that might be the reason why it seems to be pc players hate console. Its more that they hate the matchmaking.

  • @nicknack said:

Why are pc people (some not all) being so hatefull to the console community? Is it because you believe that we are bad? Or maybe that your better than the entirity of us?

Hello, i try to answer the question.

First of all, I am sorry and i hope nobody gets offended by this (what i will write also does not mean that YOU are bad) but it is my experience we had so far. Rank 1 both roles of course, EU.

I dont think anybody hates console players, but its from at least my experience extremly hard to play with them when on a team. Its not an exception that you get console survivor who do nothing but crouching around half of the game. Many of them dont know how to loop, dont know when to safe and have obviously no map awareness. Many obviously still live in the stone-age when it comes to perk and playstyle: Urban Evasion and Self-Care can be seen on so many of them. And they use those perks excessivly.

I have played with a few great console survivors so far, and i also watch one or two PS4 players on youtube who are really good at the game but the really big majority were between absolutly rank 20 terrible and slightly bad.

PC players are also not that great on average, but what i have seen the last week from console survivors is terrifying.

It is also not their fault that they are paired with better players and i wish MMR would work and would be in the game yet.

About console killer... well i have not played killer 2 much on console tbh but it was not a great experience. I feel them when they say they have a disadvatage compared to PC, especially when they play Nurse, Slinger or Huntress.

Thats it, my honest answer and probably also the answer of anybody i know who play the game.

The Pig is OP, like I said before, her stealth is insane and her rush attack which she can corner with aswell is messed up. Especially when you play on the hospital/theater where there are no open spaces, when you see The Pig it's already too late. And please don't give me the "but it's not instant kill like Myers"

dude honestly i think you are just a new player who has no idea what he is talking about. Lets wait until you run into the first good nurse or spirit and then start the "pig is op" conversation again...

  • @Widden said:

The pig. That lady with the pig mask and the snowflake assasins creed wristblade, and most of all, those damned face traps.

I will admit I don't have a lot of experience playing killer, but i look at this one and i can't see any drawbacks that the others pay for their abilities.

Those traps are the big deal. When/if you get unhooked, you need to go track down the key for your trap, or you die. And thats not even guaranteed, yesterday i died to a trap, after finishing searching 3/4 of the jigsaw boxes on the map and not finding the key.

Usually i do find it though, usually the mask doesn't kill, that was just an unlucky day.But the much bigger deal is, the time it takes.

I could understand if the traps only killed you on leaving, but otherwise had no time limit, so you could take your time searching, do objectives and look for the key whenever you find some spare moments

I could understand if the traps had a time limit, but escaping would prevent it, because then you could try to ignore it and focus on objectives, take a gamble

But it kills in BOTH cases, so your one and only choice is to go look for the key immediately. Time you spend looking for a key is time you don't spend repairing generators, this is hugely powerful.

It also makes you predictable, she can patrol the jigsaw boxes and easily catch people trying to get their masks off. They can't even hide bcause of the accursed beeping

This seems far more powerful than the unique abilities given to any other killer. I'd say freddy is second place, but he still can't hold a candle to this. Pig doesn't even need to hook anyone, ever. She can just go around doing knockdown and mask all day

What does she pay for this ability?

I know she's got that wierd stealth attack, but that is clearly optional. I've had plenty of cases where pig just runs up and hits me in plain view.

She's still got the "higher than survivors" movespeed and can win a chase. maybe she's slower than other killers, but it doesn't feel like it's making a difference

Can anyone explain to me how the pig is not the most overpowered killer in the game by far. To such a degree that she eclipses all the other killers, and would presumably be played by everyone all the time if she wasnt locked behind a paid DLC

Entry cost aside, i can't see any drawbacks

Looping needs a replacement in the game of dead by daylight. It is boring to do and annoying to face and looks silly and cartoonish. I can't be the only one that thinks they should add a fun chase system that makes it easier for newer players to feel better and more confident in a chase instead of holding w.

I showed my friend dead by daylight the other day and he watched me loop a huntress and found it comical and laughed at the game and said it looks so bad but interesting. Kinda inspired me to make this forum, I already felt this way about loops but I have a feeling that its worse that what I think it really is. Looping really takes a chunk of the fear factor out of dbd which is supposed to be a horror game.

Looping is the only reason this game is still alive. Without a good chase, i would have stoped playing this game after 1-2 weeks.

Only means its a different plattform then yours. Could be Switch, Xbox or PC

  • How do you know its a PC killer?

  • Laurie has the most toxic perks by far. The 2 most hated by most killer, and 1 which gives you a benefit if you let your team die.

  • @Pipefish said:

So how it'd work is you'd only have a limited amount of perk points so you'd have to choose your perks wisely. Perks like DS and NOED would cost a lot of points so you couldn't run many of them while perks like Monster Shrine and No Mither would cost only a few perk points so you could run a lot of them. As a killer and a survivor I am tired of going up against the same builds and hope this will build some variety, what you all think ?

Instead of point system, it would be much better to ballance perks overall, so they are kinda evenly strong.

What are you even talking about? Everything you said can be applied to PC players as well, so what exactly was the point you failed to make? Are you telling me you don’t get useless teammates and ‘boosted’ killers on PC? Because I’m certain you do. Stop acting like being a PC player makes you better as it doesn’t.

This is the exact type of elitist mindset I was talking about in my OP. It’s nothing to do with my ego. Yours however? Seems questionable to me.

It is from my personal experience and also obviously from yours to claim the opposite. I seriously think about to turn crossplay off because of those reasons even tho it will hurt my queue time quite a bit (which should not be the case if you ask me... getting forced into a choice between worse matchmaking or longer queue time).

Maybe it is the region (EU), maybe its FPS as many say, maybe its the controller or simply the nature that it is not that competetive there, maybe it is a combo of them all... i really dont know.

Whatever it is, its an issue for many.. not just me but also for plenty of other people. I dont hate console, i am probably more console guy then you (unless you have more then a thousend console games and 25+ consoles in your gameing room 😘) some of my friends play it on PS4, Switch and Box and we pretty much agree on that topic.

Why not try to fix it instead of shutting down the topic like you want? If you think there is no issue, well thats your opinion and i am glad you dont have any, i really am, but others do have a problem with it and they should be allowed to express their opinion.

So to repeat myself.. what is the point of my "pointless" thread:

FPS is a problem, even you obviously disagree (i have played DBD on Xbox and PS4)

Ranking and skillrange is now even more a problem, even you obviously disagree.

Controller is (especially for killer) a problem, even you obviously disagree.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

Can we please stop this whole Console VS PC war? It’s becoming tiring, fast. I’ve been playing on PS4 and I haven’t noticed any difference. I’ve played as survivor and killer since the cross play was implemented and I know for a fact I’ve faced PC killers and I didn’t find them any more difficult or easier than a console killer. It comes down to the PLAYER and NOT the platform they’re playing on.

There’s good and bad players on every platform and it’s annoying seeing this almost elitist mindset from some people who think they’re better because of what platform they’re on.

We’re all playing this game because we enjoy it and it shouldn’t go any further than that. It’s a VIDEO GAME that most people play for enjoyment. This isn’t turf wars.

I’ve gone against some ‘potato’ survivors who were on PC, as I could tell by their usernames , but you don’t see me posting a thread like “oMg Pc SuRvIvOrS aRe So bAd” because I understand that platform doesn’t = skill.

There’s already a big and unnecessary divide between survivor mains and killer mains. Let’s not add fuel to that fire by adding something else.

    https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a5/38/5f/a5385ff5fb68ab92711ebc28da98dd38.gif

So you prefere to not talk about a topic which is absolutly relevant... just because of your ego? Ok then..

Lets not talk about Console Megs you have in every second game that use urban across the other side of the map while you just got hooked by the killer? Imagine they read this and adapt their playstyle.

Lets not talk about terrible console killer who are absolutly boosted in rank. Imagine they might adapt and actually become good at the game. Or even worse BHVR might improve the ranking system.

Lets not talk about FPS problems for console, better stick with the 30FPS because apparently it is no issue anymore.

Lets not talk about the amazing controle for killer, because imagine BHVR might improve it.

Can we just accept that both PC and Console survivors are the same, but killer isn't due to frames and controls.

I was hoping that it would be like that, but it is clearly not. And the reason console players are on average a lot worse then pc players ( i know how this sounds) is now pretty obvious too. Playing Killer on console is a total nightmare with the controls and also FPS is a big problem, which make them simply a lot worse then pc killer. Same with survivor - when you face easy killer most of the time, you dont have to adapt.

Console survivors hopefully will now learn a lot and console killer will get fixed (would be unfair otherwise) but till then, it is what it is.

Thanks for the input, that is kinda weird, I do notice of players will stay at pallets longer than console players as well, but (maybe not you of course) I think PC players actually are easier to mindgame as well this is most likely due to latency or something, and using a controller does not hinder me at all and the frame rate is not a huge issue a hit is usually still a hit regardless.

I think it really depends on who you play against. A decent survivor on PC will never stay at a pallet unless it is a good play (which is almost never the case). dont know about the controler, i have my doubts that you can be as effectice as with Mouse or Keyboard. There is a reason you dont find that many good and probably not even one godlike nurse or huntress on console.

Sorry for the clickbait title but I want to get my opinion out to see how other people feel about it, and please read what I have to say before you reply.

I have been playing killer since console release on PS4 and consistently make it to rank 1 I would like to consider myself a pretty good killer I can perform well with almost all the killers, I enjoy playing all of them, and my killers I perform best with are The Nightmare, the shape, and the wraith just so you don't jump to conclusions. But to the topic at hand. Well with the introduction of cross play I que into PC players constantly everygame, usually 3-4 every game at my current rank of 5 now I haven't played more than 20 games since this rank reset but I have noticed a trend when I play against PC players, and that's how easy it is to close chase on them. Im still unsure if it's a playstyle thing or latency or what, but I know for a fact it is easier for me to lay down the law on a couple of players than my console plebian brethren. My theory currently is that PC players take sharper turns when they attempt to juke, now that seems like a good thing, but from my point of view it makes it easier to read the survivors, I find PC players very very predictable on average compared to console players. Now when I occasionally play survivor with my friends I find PC killers very difficult to play against but not the survivors. I would love to hear what some people think, maybe from the PC players side. Also PC players will randomly lag out of games for me as both survivor and killer, so take that into consideration that a tenth of players will at some point just drop out of game, this doesn't take away from how quickly I end chase with PC players. Please give feedback, and as always take what I have to say with a grain of salt, I'm not all knowing I'm just a guy that plays a decent amount of killer.

I have noticed the exact opposite. So far every killer from console (all rank 5 and 6 right after rank reset) played like they weree drunk or just installed the game, sorry but it is true. Missing all the time, respecting pallets, no mindgames at loops etc

I dont know how it is at purple, green, yellow or even brown ranks, but a on R1, console killer were not able to get anything done so far. MAYBE it was just cooincidence, i dont know, but for myself i see a trend.

If FPS or controller is the problem... i dont know, but something is wrong with console killer. No offense to anybody, but it felt like bully the killer.

Any red forest, yamakoa, ormond, badham are just ez survior maps. Its not worth the frustration imo.

You really think badham and yamaoka are survivor sided? Some Badham layouts are considered killer sided by many and the new Yamaoka version is definitly also not survivor sided.

I mean, the killers, they’re about the same as console killers.

But the survivors i think are a lot worse. I see a lot more just doing nothing, hiding. Since i’ve been on crossplay, gens have been notably slower.

And when ever i’m hooked i usually go to struggle cause a Yui decided it would be useful to finish a gen, then do a totem. Then look in the chest.

Keep in mind i had kindred.

    So um, Console Master Race?

They are about the same? THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME? Woot? Those R5-1 killer from console i faced so far played like rank 20s.. all of them. And survivors from console, guess what, they are even worse!!! I tried to encourage other players to give Crossplay a chance, but this is just a nightmare for "competetive" players. HOW CAN YOU BE THAT BAD? AT purple or even red? Those last ~10 games with console players in my team were absolutly horrible, what are they actually doing the whole game? Do they even know anything else then Urban evasion while the killer is on the opposite site of the map? Have they ever heard about a very special concept of not going down within 10 seconds? MAYBE?

If i get another Xbox or PS4 Meg who is not looking behind while beeing chased, bumping into walls and dont know what to do the whole game, i might opt out aswell.

But hey tell us a little bit more about those fairy tails. The mysterious console players who are pretty good at the game. Unbelieveable.

Sorry for the rant, but when i see posts like this after having games i had, i can only shake my head.

I don't blame a single console player for not playing killer on cross-play. I don't blame any console player for opting out. There is only one upside to crossplay for us and that is playing with friends on other platforms.

Also better matchmaking and shorter queue times.

  • It just happend, my frist game against a console killer (he was rank5). Maybe i was unlucky, but that person played honestly like a straight rank 20. Maybe crossplay for console killers is really that bad or maybe it was bad luck for me, but this looked really aweful.

  • Uff i hate to say it, but i also had so far many aweful experiences with console survivors in the "high ranks". Im not saying all PC players are Elite, but what i have wittnessed so far, its no wonder we have those discussions in the forum.

  • @Zozzy said:

I am only going by what i see. full lobby of pc players? We win or tie.

Full lobby of "other platform" users? Survivors seem to go down in 5 seconds to an m1 killer, because they are too busy attempting to 360 and nothing seems to get done.

I can share this experiecen. For some reason, console players think it is a good idea to 360 and then bump into objects all the time. Another trend i have wittnessed so far is the resurrection of Urban Evasion. 😣

Because after thousands of hours i'm certain i'm not getting good nurses or huntresses all of the sudden playing on the switch.

According to the tone of this thread, you did not ran into a good PC Nurse so far.

But you are absolutly right with one thing! Give crossplay a chance, i love it and i am sure most will aswell.

  • How do you know you played against PC?

As far as i know, the Globe means just a different plattform.

From my experience yesterday, noone escaped so far. Both PC and Console.

Now that crossplay has been implemented, how do we know if a player is console or pc? I've heard conflicting things on different Twitch streams.

I first heard that a globe next to a player's name indicates they are console.

I then heard that the globe signifies anyone who is on a different platform than you. So in other words, if I play as a survivor on PS4 and the other survivors are an Xbox player, a pc player, and another PS4 player, then the Xbox player and the the PC player will show a globe, but not the other PS4 player.

    Which, if either, is correct?

What exactly does the globe indicate?

Globe means it is a different plattform then yours.

I take it you’re a PC player then. We want the faster queue times, but if you’ve even played one game on one of the consoles you would realise how bad the FPS is compared to PC.

I played Xbox and while the lower FPS does not make the game as smooth as it is on PC, i have not had the feeling it would totally hinder my gameplay.

  • I had a game as Nurse against 4 Console survivors. The first 20 seconds it went clicky a bit, then it was silence and scream for the rest of the game as usual :P

It was an honor to show them Nurse. I guess we will see a lot more complains about her in the near future, once console players realise what Nurse really is ;)

Please, put the console/PC wars back in the 2000's.

    Amen

  • The Nurse. Not even close.

  • Correct me if i am wrong @SenzuDuck but the icon only means the player is from a different plattform, right?

One hook, huh? Funny, you will not have even half of a hook against this team. :) Basically that was team only two killers could handle, because this game was never meant to be played in tournament.

Anyway you might not like him, but denying his skill is just stupid. I mean, if you dont believe your own eyes, what can anyone say?

As if you know who i am and how good i am.

I dont like him because he is full of himself while absolutly medicore and barly able to admit any mistakes he does (which are many).

Please, just for once... let him participate in a strong tournament, this might open your eyes quite a bit.

May i ask how many hours you have in DbD? Which plattform do you play on? Just curious.

There's bound to be a myriad of console players opting out.

But the devs seem assuring the queues will be decently longer.

For now the queue times will be longer, but think one step ahead. What will many do when they realise they have to wait 30 minutes for a lobby when they can have one in 30 seconds? More will switch to crossplay eventually. And this leaves console only players to a very tiny playerbase.

I am not saying crossplay is not a good thing (as a PC player i obvisouly have nothing against it), but having a choice is an illusion. At the end, everyone will be forced to crossplay.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Then dont do it. Always those nonsense rants.

Its not that easy. If he disables it, there is a good chance he wont find a lobby since most people will switch to crossplay.
