Gens right now go way too fast. I'm rank 1 survivor and rank 9 killer but I'm playing against rank 5 and below. I've always been rank 1 at both but took time off killer for a bit.

Even with good killer pressure and gen pressure perks they still fly by after 1 or 2 chases. My only suggestion to change is increase the base repair time for gens by about 15-20 seconds. Can't think of another way to change gen speed of you have any GOOD ideas post em.

As survivor it's too easy and with swf it's even more mindless. One good looper is all you need, the rest just sit on gens with PTS or a toolbox.

As survivor you start the Trial with 50% repairspeed. For each second of repairing a generator, you gain +1%. This goes up to 120%.

This will fix the genrush in the 1st half of the game but for compensation helps survivor to do the last gen(s) a bit quicker.

The only solution, better then just higher the ammount of time it takes to repair a generator (this would just make the game to easy for killer)

  • It depends.

As survivor i might play a bad round and escape, which is not a win for me. On the other side, if i run the killer for 5 gens and then eventually die first hook, i would definitly considere this a win.

More or less the same with killer. If i play bad but in the end somehow catch them all 4 slugged or something similiar, i would not considere this a win. If i play Clown and i get 8 hooks and not a single kill while not tunneling and camping, this is more of a victory then a random 4 man slug at the end.

Please, do list some of these endless "survivor nerfs" That are not exploits that needed to be fixed.

    I'm waiting.

Those nerfs can be called "needed" by you but survivor got nerfed way more often and also way more significant then killers, thats an undeniable fact. Sorry but denying that is just ignorant.

It goes from exhaustion status nerf to map nerfs in general over most items and addon nerfs, tons of perks got nerfed, genspeed is slower, they lower ammount of pallets multible times, stuff like bloodlust or entityblocker was definitly a big survivor nerf, the game is brighter in general now which has to be considered as a survivor nerf and so on. The list is really long, so long nobody would probably take the effort to even list them anymore.

On top of that i can not remember a single really significant survivor buff the last 2 years beside some trash perks are now mediocre or still bad, while killers received quiet a few very strong buffs (Freddy and Doctor are some good examples). And when devs released something that played in the favour of survivors (MoM for example) it was not lasting very long.

TLDR: The debate which side has the upper hand is still very relevant and probably will always be. A discussion about who got nerfed more is not - its by far the survivor role.

  • The Nurse should be the strongest killer in the game, but the Spirit is stronger.

You start your thread with a statement that is completly wrong. It is true that Spirit is better when beeing a novice, but mastering Nurse makes Spirit look like a joke.

  • Spine Chill + a few thousend hours of practice.

Early game doesn't exist and we have another great example of this that can't be refuted by "but they played badly" or "the killer's perks suck"

Take a look at this recent video from true:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9LkaTt50Ic

Movement control in the match starts at about 5 seconds, so every timestamp is 5 seconds higher than the actual time in the game.

The match starts and he immediately runs to the other side of the map where the survivors likely are.

At 26 seconds in the video, he hears a gen being worked on

At 28 seconds, he spots the scratch marks

At 30 seconds he spots the survivor.

At 34 seconds, he makes a bad read, but the survivor plays badly and throws the pallet anyway.

At 37 seconds, he breaks the pallet, while the survivor runs to the harvester.

At 50 seconds, he does harvester tech, and lands a hit. The survivor holds w.

At 1 minute, 10 seconds, he catches up to the survivor and starts a chase.

At 1 minute, 15 seconds, he successfully mindgames the survivor and tries to bait the dead hard, but it doesn't come

At 1 minute, 18 seconds, he downs the survivor.

At 1 minute, 22 seconds, he picks up the survivor.

At 1 minute, 28 seconds, 1 gen pops.

At 1 minute, 32 seconds, he hooks the survivor, he runs over to the nearby gen that was completed and another in the field.

At 1 minute, 39 seconds, a second gen pops.

At 1 minute, 43 seconds, a third gen pops.

This goes with the thing i have been saying for months now about this game's problem with early game. The math doesn't add up.

21 seconds to find the first survivor and start a chase

24 seconds to land the first hit after making a 1 bad read and breaking a pallet.

20 seconds to catch up to the survivor to start a second chase.

8 seconds on a successful read to down the survivor.

4 seconds for attack cooldown and to pickup survivor.

10 seconds to hook a survivor.

    21 + 24 + 20 + 8 + 4 + 10 = 87 seconds. Enough time for 3 gens if all the survivors hopped on a gen as soon as the match started.

This was not played badly. True played very well.

He found the first survivor almost as early as he possibly could have at the second gen he checked.

He made one bad read for the first chase that only added a few seconds since the survivor threw the pallet anyway (if the survivor played well they could have easily extended the chase an extra 15-20 seconds before using the pallet).

He made one great read for the second on that made the chase end in a couple of seconds.

At this point, the game goes downhill from here. True holds his own because he has like 5k hours in this game so of course he is going to do well, but most of the survivors end up escaping regardless.

I already posted the solution that is the only way to fix gen speed. Let me know what you think about it.

    @xEa said:

First of all, general increasing the time it takes to do a Generator is not the right idea. I think it is necessary to just ballance genspeed out between early and late game.

    The problem:

    • In earlygame, generators are getting doen to fast. The reason for that is obviously, that survivors are not under any pressure at first, all the pallets are avairable and the map is large at this point. Killer can not chase all of them at the same time / can not patrol all generators.
    • In lategame, generators are getting done to slow. The low ammount of available generators gives the killer a more easy game. Also pallets are gone and the area the killer has to patrol is way smaller.

    The solution:

Survivors have to "learn" how to do generators first before they can master them. I mean, if you repair a car, you dont start repairing with full speed, you first have to localize the problem and figure out how to fix it, right?

So in DbD, as a survivor you start with 50% repairspeed. Every second you work on a gen, you gain another 1% of repairspeed (you get better at repairing) up to 120%.

This would cause that the gens in the beginning of the game would not be done soo fast, but it would even it out at the end, where survivors can do them much quicker.

PS. Those numbers are not carved in stone, they are just there to illustrate the idea.

What do you think about that?

Killers, I know you're harder to play than survivor, and sometimes stressful. But please, if you finally kill that last tbagging scumbag, rather than nod aggressively and shut hatch in his face, give hatch.

And i know it sounds ridiculous, but that's the challenge behind it. You show that toxicity doesn't affect you really, and trust me you'll be the winner in the end when you're surprised by a thank you from someone you would have never thought said it. You'll feel good and like a man in control rather than following instincts.

I know a lot out there are just scared of having hard games and have the habit of tunneling someone out of the game at 3 gens, please don't let it be the baby Meg or Dwight queued with the clearly superior players. Try going for someone who at least knows fundamentals of looping. Or better not do it at all unless you clearly have to (4 survivors 2 gens etc..)

Survivors, I know sometimes you tbag at pallets and click clack to get the killers attention making time for your team.

But especially with visibily green/yellow rank killers, please don't. Think of the many unfun matches they had to play before yours due to the broken matchmaking.

You could try crouching and nodding, it looks cuter and funnier, and certainly not as annoying and dishumilating as tbagging. You don't want him or her camping you at the end of the day.

I'm hoping one day we all get along and ditch the DS/NOED arguments because of one bad match we had.

Yea, survivors are all toxic SWF aholes and killers have a hard time to deal with them. Stop the war.

So, for full context my build was Discordance, Nurses, BBQ, and Corrupt. A build I have a lot of success with. Being Ghostface + Knowing what people are always doing = profit.

I grab him at the very start of the game, hook him, and then down someone while they were unhooked. They immediately hopped on the gen so I slugged and went to push them off. Nea left and he didn’t. I see he’s had past issues with Ghostie boys, but did he expect me to just leave him to do the gen?

Side note I fully planned to just slug him for pressure and not even put him on his second hook as I already had someone ready to be hooked. TTVs truly are something else.

Full video with sound ----> https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/hwbica/this_is_tunneling_now/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

All i see is a salty rank 20 survivor. No need to explain yourself here.

  • Hello @azame

This is true. The reason for that is simple. People who have a bad gaming experience run to the forum and complain. My guess is that because the killer role is usually more frustrating (not harder, not weaker, just more frustrating!) more killer come to the forum then survivors.

On top of that, people who play Survivor can talk and complain about the game with their friends during the round, killers not so much, they are on their own. So they come here and see that others have similar problems.

  • @bubbabrotha said:

If you are playing to win, which I am, tunneling makes sense. By removing a link, you are making the rest of the survivors do more work, which makes patrolling gens more succesful. By tunneling someone out of the match you are making mid to late game much easier. I don't think it's the nicest strategy, but if you play to win that isn't an issue. I guarantee that person you refused to tunnel isn't going to care if you have fun, they want to win as well. It's a free for all. That's why I'm ok with scummy tactics on both sides. And I never play survivor. If you want to bodyblock, flashlight spam, or the like go ahead. We're all trying to win in the end.

Of course tunneling is effective. But it is extremly frustrating getting tunneled the whole game, especially when getting camped / proxycamped with no real chance to do anything against that. Unfortunatly with the upcoming MMR System, this will be the way to go for many.

"Scummy tactics" dont really exist on survivor side. How is bodyblocking a hook ruining the game for the killer? Unlike you, i play both sides and all survivors are able is to be a bit annoying with their flashlights. Tunneling/camping on the other hand is just ruining the whole round.

I also want to win, but i do it with style (and fairplay)

  • @adsads123123123123 said:

Why? It turns a casual game into a competitive game. As a game gets more competitive, it becomes more toxic and unbalanced things start to get abused more. Competitive games usually have a meta. What if the high MMR meta just becomes all keys and Object of Obsessions? I just play DBD for fun and don't care about rank much. I don't want to sweat hard every game.

Another downside of MMR is queue times. Queue times for high MMR players tend of be awful, especially in regions will small playerbases. I live in Australia and my queue time for high MMR Dota is terrible, so it is obvious that my queue time for high MMR DBD will also be terrible.

The only redeeming factor of the MMR system they added is that the MMR might be hidden.

Edit: If they are going to add mmr, then they should add unranked. Every major competitive game has an unranked mode.

    I fully agree with you.

Before the devs should introduce us to MMR, they must to do a lot of ballance first. There are not that many really ballanced killers at the highest rank, they are either overpowered (Nurse, Spirit) or they can not fully compete against the best of the best.

Also slugging, genrush, 4 man SWF teams etc will be standard. Same goes for perks. It will be pretty much impossible to run a fun build every once in a while. But exactly that is great about DbD. No worry about loosing and having a good time.

I already hate it to go against Nurse, Freddy and Spirit nonstop, and i even more hate to run those killers all the time to reach the Top 0,1%

    Please devs

First complete the ballance. Then MMR. There is nothing wrong with one more year not having MMR.

Short answer. It would be a never ending tie between the spirit and the nurse.

    long answer.

The clown would die first, he’s out of shape likely has cancer fat, slow uses a pocket knife.

The trapper is also out, his power is next to useless in this fight and though he is strong he has no stealth and would be outclassed in combat skills by the hillbilly leatherface Mikey and the oni.

The wraith could potentially hide forever but if we were to assume he engages in combat his bell would give away his stealth and he himself is scrawny and fairly week with a off balance, clumsy weapon and no combat experience. He would most likely be picked off early by the legion swarm as they would see him as an easy target.

The legion would make it decently far into the fight being the only team of killers. Even so they are just kids with knives and after picking off the clown, wraith and Freddy they would be outclassed by the remaining killers and forced into hit and run tactics. Eventually the nurse, spirit and hillbilly would take them down.

freddy would be dead in seconds. We can assume the fight takes place in the entity’s realm and not Freddie’s realm so Freddy is just a middle aged man with a knife glove and no longer immortal.

Leather face would be singled out and killed by the hillbilly early in the fight. The hillbilly has very low intelligence and would see leather faces chainsaw as a threat. So being a stronger faster leather face the fight would be very sided. Dead leather face.

the pig. Useless power mid 20s woman with a crap weapon. Dead

ghost face. Useless power. Mid 20s man with a crap weapon. Dead

the plague slightly annoying power mid 30s woman with a laughable weapon. Dead.

hillbilly after killing leatherface the hillbilly would likely turn his attention to the Demigorgon. He would see it not understand what is it and want it to die. After that he could probably chase down a few of the legion before dying to the oni, Mikey, or PH.

The hag she’s a slow week disfigured child. She dies seconds after the clown does.

Demogrogon. They really aren’t that hard to kill and are only marginally stronger than humans. He’s out pretty quick.

the huntress I wouldn’t expect much from her yes she’s strong yes she has throwing hatches but she’s outclassed in strength and speed by half the roster. She’s dead.

Death slinger. Old man, spear gun slow. Dead.

the doctor. His shocks would be nothing more than an annoyance and in the end he is just a middle aged man with a stick. Dead.

    Mikey Oni and PH

when most of the roster is dead outside of the spirit and nurse these three

Would be facing off in an epic 3 way clash of titans which Mikey would win. While both the oni and PH can take a beating Mikey not only likely being the strongest of all killers has his healing factor. He would win the war of Attrition.

    sprit nurse

they would spend the entire fight hitting and running taking shots for sure but here’s the problem they are ghosts. They can’t be killed. So once Mikey is standing on the pile of broken bodies they would eventually pick him apart and end in a stalemate.

freddy would be dead in seconds. We can assume the fight takes place in the entity’s realm and not Freddie’s realm so Freddy is just a middle aged man with a knife glove and no longer immortal.

Freddy overpowered Jason in the real world and it turned out he is even here unkillable. Freddy is one of if not the last who would go down in a battle royal.

  • @Yamaoka said:

Quote: "You can see that the killrates were over 50% (2 kills) so it’s nearly balanced for both sides or more killersided (70%)."

The devs said they want an average of 2 kills and 2 escapes. Even 70% is still two kills since every survivor is 25%.

Also these stats include afk survivors, survivors that give up on the hook, survivors that are INCREDIBLY boosted and shouldn't even be on their specific rank, survivors that troll all game with no intention to escape etc.

If you think about it it's painfully obvious that the game is still survivor sided -at least on the highest level of play- (which most long term players who are experienced on both sides will agree on).

    Get rid of:

    - afk players

    - players that give up on the hook

    - players that run useless perks

    - boosted players who can't even loop on red ranks

    - players that hide instead of doing gens

    - players that won't touch a generator whenever they're injured

    - troll players who sandbag and sabotage other survivors rather than doing gens

    etc.

And see where the kill rates go in the long run.

I can't play a single solo survivor game without noticing useless teammates that hide for minutes (total) then self care in a corner (even with Sloppy Butcher) and get downed in 10 seconds from full health. And they still manage to somehow drop all pallets in their crazy short chases.

Just think about what this game would look like WITHOUT these randoms that make it to red ranks every season.

That's why (some) killer mains complain about SWF, too. SWF teams often consist of people that -at the very least- understand how the game works as survivor. As a result many killers feel completely powerless even though they just destroyed a bunch of randoms one match before.

Should the game really be balanced around clueless survivors who derp around and mess up a million times while the killer has to play like a tournament player?

Besides this is what the 2 kill / 2 escape balance may look like on a reworked map:

    https://youtu.be/0YK4F3_1cDc

Now you tell me does this look like a balanced game? The killer still got 2 kills using NOED so technically this is what an average match should look like? Doesn't seem like a fun game as killer.

Long story short: Balancing for a fixed number of kills is NOT actual balance due to the number of variables one being HOW DO THESE KILLS occur?

That was for sure not a fun game for this Killer, but how he played he does not even deserve a single kill. All we can see from this Video is that it is apparently easy to get 2 kills even when playing terrible.

  • @BaroneMaximus said:

I mean let's talk about what survivors really do in a game: M1 on gen, hold shift and spacebar here and there.

Let's talk now about what a killer have to go through: He has to learn how to use properly is power, he has to learn addon and study them to properly to make his power better and to synergize with perks, he has to practice with said power and when to properly use it. The best killers in the game are actually a 1k hour practice character and a character that totally relies on hears and mindgames: cat hears =yes, no cat hears = NO (I'm deaf and i can't play her AT ALL)

So, i'm really hoping that at some point they will be introducing something that actually make survivors difficult and unique, otherwise this game seriously will never make sense

Dont know if this is true.

As survivor you also have to learn a lot. There are 20 different killers in the game, and every killer is unique to play against. When you are a killer you are always versing the same role - the Survivors.

Maps are in general way harder to master for survivors then for killers. Understanding the layout is crucial, same with tiles and looping in general. Understanding how to run each jungle gym against each killer at every situation takes A LOT of time and practice to fully understand.

Also understanding perks is more complicated. There might be almost the same number of perks for both sides, but they always work the same on survivors, but often different on each killer. There are simply more peculiarities a Survivor has to think off.

Also think about descision making. This is particularly hard(er) when you play solo. As a killer you are on your own, no teamplay involved. When you play Survivor with 3 randoms, its not that easy to always make the best move. And a bad move can cost the game, just like it can cost the killer the game. But in the case for Survivor when playing solo, there are factors that you have to considere which are not always easy or even understandable to predict.

I am not saying that playing killer is easy mode or the gameplay overall less to understand (especially when you flex almost all killers like i do) but saying Survivor is just M1 shows that you are a Killer main who is not playing / understanding the other side very much.

  • @derppug said:

My biggest issue is looping. I cannot loop for the life of me and any time a killer senses that I am a weak link, they'll target me a lot. I thought I'd be much better at 300 hours in but I'm not. Damn this game is rough.

Hm English is not my first language and correct me if i am wrong, but "good games" means that the games that were played (multible games) were good. Not the players. Anyway GG was always ment to be good game to everyone who was particiapting in a round, no plural needed. But whatever, gg, ggs, wp, all fine for me.

And for those who type EZ, ######### is wrong with you?

  • GG of course. What does ggs actually mean? Good GameS? Makes not a lot of sense. I guess people heared it somewhere in e-sports when it got sayed by a commentator after a series of games.

  • @goatslinger said:

I have to say I never, ever would have thought people would be complaining about deathslinger being op. It really does show that people just like to complain.

    You are getting this wrong.

Remember the old Legion? He was not really overpowered and got beaten realtivly easy if you knew how, but once getting chased by him, there was not a lot to almost nothing you could do. As a survivor, you were pretty much defenseless and nothing you did mattered really. Exact same story with Deathslinger.

  • Against a Huntress you have a choice how you use your defense, against Deathslinger you dont. Thats the difference.

Or against Spirit, all you have is a guess, thats it. People say "but hey you can use this or that trick" ... its still luck. The problem is only that it has nothing to do with skill when you do the right or wrong move against Spirit.

Dont even wanna talk about the Nurse. The Nurse means death, unless she is not playing well. Actually when i think about it, she is the best example. Its 100% in her hand if she wins a chase or not. No real influence of the survivor at all. Thats the problem with ballancing when you have a killer which can ignore every defense, the other side has. All she needs to have is skill and then it does not matter how much better in theory the other player is.

But well, I have too many shards and the alternatives are legion and clown, but ppl say those 2 are the worst killer, and anyway PGTW are is shrine now.

Yes and yes. Not Nurse level strong, but he is for sure A Tier.

I saw some handicaps in him: he is slow

    Yes

    bad perks

    Kinda, yea :(

his shoots can be dodged without much problems

Absolutly no. His shots can not be dodged by any means. The only way to "dodge" a shot is that Deathslinger is simply missing his shot. Thats why its super unfun to verse him. The keyword is Quickscope

his power is not so good as seems in loops

His power is godtier in loops. Its either gaining ground/zoning by faking his shots and getting the hit or simply straight getting a hit. Once you are good with Slinger there is no escape in a chase.

and the shoots have small hitbox so u need have good aim.

Well, thats true, but it wont take very long for you to learn him.

But well, I have too many shards and the alternatives are legion and clown, but ppl say those 2 are the worst killer, and anyway PGTW are is shrine now.

Clown and Legion can definitly be considered weak killers. Deathslinger is much stronger of course and also way more fun to play as. The only downside you have when you buy him is that i hate you ;-)

    Kind regards

Yes okay but what are your points? You say unfun means survivors cant bully the killer but that is simply not true. Killers that are considered to be unfun to go against are usually those where survivors dont have any or very little impact of the game, especially in chases. I dont know what to add there anymore, Scott really nailed it. There are also many other examples then clown or Billy. Just look at Huntress and Deathslinger. They can be compared with each other, are almost equaly strong but most people would say playing versus Slinger is frustrating/unfun/annoying and versus Huntress it is not. Or Oni. Strong killer, i dont know many people who would say he is totally unfun to play against. On the other side the Trapper. Many hate to play against Trapper but he is considered a mid tier killer at best.

The other difference is moris have to be brought and thought out. Keys can be found mid match.

True. But a mori is a free win, while a key is defintily not a free escape. Especially not if you play vs a mori.

Beyond that philosphy, yes remove keys aswell, aslong as those moris will be gone too.

  • OP: "Fun = easy games"

I get that deathslinger is kind of a weird design, but I actually kinda like it. We have a lot of weird killers in DBD, including an angry samurai, a group of rambunctious teenagers, and an ancient priestess with bolemia. A cowboy isn't that far out IMO.

I'm seeing a lot of divisiveness about deathslinger in the comments. Apparently a lot of people actually really hate him, which I get, but for some reason i actually really enjoy going against him. IMO he's basically a slightly weaker version of huntress and dodging his shots are just fun to me.

Do you think he'd be more fun to VS if, like Huntress, he had to take a second to actually throw the hatchet. Like huntress grunts and takes a second to reel it then throw it. What if deathslinger had some kind of notification and it took him a little longer to ADS?

There are indeed some weird characters in DbD, thats a good point of you. Still, a Cowboy does not fit in any horror game in my opinion. I dont know why, its just out of place for me, like for example a shark, a car or a doll would be. I guess it is a personal thing, but to be fair, i dont know any people who disagree with he beeing very out of place (at least the people i play with and those i know in RL who also play the game)

I am fine if people like him, i wish i could to, but i dont. I also dont think he is a weak version of the Huntress, actually he can do a lot of stuff far better. There is only one thing she is much better then deathslinger and thats that she can fight multible targets at the same time. Everything else is a plus for deathslinger. He has no humming like she and only a really small terror radius (the terror radius of deathslinger makes it even harder to predict how close he acutally is compared to the normal terror radius) which helps him get way closer to the target then Huntress can, he can quickscope, he can reel in the survivor , NOED works with his power, he does not have to break chase and reload at a locker etc

Yes, thats what his problem is. The quickscope mechanic is what makes him so unfun to go against. Its like Scott Jund sayed: "You are not dodging Deathslinger, he is just missing". A perfect Deathslinger will hit every single shot without any chance for the survivors. Its also extremly frustrating that he gains ground with his fake attempt of shooting. Here is a good example of what i mean

    https://youtu.be/40gHL0W48HA?t=550

So to answer your question: If they remove quickscope or at least give some kind of notification that at least gives the survivor a fair chance to dodge, i would be the last person to complain about it. I would even give him something in return to compensate for that.

    Kind regards

Yeah I get it shes hard to go against big deal she has counter play you guys just are too stubborn too utilize it! You just killed Billy stop trying to kill Spirit.

Its not hard to play against Spirit, but only a guessing game. No real dynamic interaction, no strenth measurement, nothing. Playing against a Spirit has nothing to do with skill thats the problem. It does not matter if you are the best survivor in the world or the worst, its all in the Spirits hand if she wins or not.

Same problem with Nurse and Deathslinger.

One again, don't see him as a cowboy because obviously there aren't any "cowboy" killers. He's a bounty hunter, and there's been plenty of horror movies that involved just regular killers like a hunter.

He's a human killer, that even you could see in real life because bounty hunters are real people with real jobs. It just so happens that he is an Irish immigrant in a completely different time period so him being a bounty hunter is different from what one is today. I think it's awesome that they have these killers from different time periods and places around the world, they are all different from each other and aren't boring.

I see him more interesting than all the other killers because there is no other killer that is like him. Call him what you want, he still has one of the coolest character designs and story.

I dont think we will agree here but anyway.. The reason why i think he is a cowboy is probably because i am not to much into the story of the game, especially not when it is a killer like this. I just see a cowbow running out of the saloon with a harpoon in his hand.

He is an absolutly non interactive killer that was only designed to bring in people from shooters. He is not fun to verse at all, but i understand that people play him a lot since he it is great to be able to ignore every possible defense survivors have. I dont play him sololy because i know how it feels to play against this stinkmouth. Just like the first version of Legion, same nonsense. This man shares my opinion word by word and he descibes it in a great way.

He's not a cowboy, he's a badass bounty hunter/gang member and looks cool as hell with his redeemer. He's one of my favorites because of his character design and his weapon choice.

You question a "cowboy" in dbd but not the fact that we have a clown that eats fingers and a slimy Demogorgon?

Clowns? Why should i question a Clown, they are iconic in horror movies, books and tv shows since ages. And Demogorgon is a Demon, D&D character and the most iconic antagonist in one of the most popular Sci-Fi Horror shows.

You say he is not a Cowboy? Well, who cares what he is per definition, show him to 100 random people and 99 say its a stinky Cowboy and 1 guy plays banjo in silence.

And of course i question a Cowboy in DbD, has a Cowboy really anything to do with Horror? If so, enlighten me please. I am not american, but even those americans i know 100% agree that cowboys in DbD are a bit silly.

    Kind regards

Nice ad hominem. Let me know if you want to give a real answer and discuss.

Not expecting much anyways, go back to holding M1 and me actually learning to use new killer's powers.

/e to nurse guy: also yes, nurse is nerfed.

I indeed press a lot of M1 since i prefere M1 killers. I am sorry but I dont have a problem winning as killer. Sure sometimes you loose and sometimes you get even destroyed, but in almost every case it was my own fault. Just came back after a 2 month break and i had a few horrible games aswell. Do i come here and complain about how unfair it is? No, i try to improve and regain my strenth (and get even better then i used to)

There is not a lot to discuss right now honestly. My opinion is, that if you are not able to win as a killer now, you will never win if you dont improve. Its not the games fault, you simply might not be good enough to face the best survivors. Well.. maybe its a matchmaking problem and some complainers play at the wrong rank

The only thing they should change are some killers like Leatherface, Demogorgon or Legion. They should become stronger. But in return they also have to nerf Spirit, Nurse and Freddy. Some killers are still to powerful, others are to weak.

  • @Unfun_Tunnel said:

Ok behaviour and all the survivor mains out there, listen. Gens speed should be nerfed, because some games are literally impossible, if you don't agree you don't play killer at all or you play it at green ranks. I understand that increasing gens time would be boring for survivors, but try to think to something else, like harder skill checks or something to add to them. A lot of killers have been nerfed, but it's time to do something about survivors.

Hello i dont agree at all and i am playing killer for almost 2000 hours now on red rank. Dont be biased please.

Harder skillcheck wont help at all. It would only be harder for lower ranks, where killer already dominate. A rank 1 will hit his skillchecks no matter how hard they are.

The only killer that got nerfed so far is Nurse and Spirit and those nerfs were totally needed. Others got buffed in return.

Please dont forget that the past 1,5 years survivors got nerfed way more then killers. Just look at toolboxes, less pallets on maps, smaller maps ect ect.

Yes please tell us the survivors were actually good, and that the game doesn't punish killers for having S K I L L S while rewarding noobynooby survivors with second chance perks and million other things. Please tell us.

Yea killer mains are so poor. Wonder how i pull of the magic all the time. Thanks for the quote tho.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Love how the gen speed videos have 200 replies and this has none. Nobody complains when a killer wrecks a team in a few minutes. Its just gonna be the “bad survivors” excuse.

Really shows the bias in the community. Both sides have the potential to quickly defeat the other side.

"Because the survivors in this video ######### up big time. When i play, i always verse professional video game players, so that does not count" - The average Killer main here

Obviously I respect your opinion, and fun is subjective, but why would you put Deathslinger at the bottom? Even below Spirit?

Because he is the most discusting being in Dead by Daylight since Legion 1.0? Versus Spirit you have at least a chance to counter her power, but versus Quickscope Boy there is nothing else you can do but hope he is playing bad. 0 reactive gameplay. And on top of it, his weakness is mobility, which means you have a LOT of time sitting on gens. Thats a lot of fun too. Plus he is a stinky Cowboy. I mean, a cowboy. In Dead by Daylight. #########? :D

If you would have asked me a year ago what the possible dumbest killer devs might come up with could be, i might have said A Cowboy that runs around with a harpoon which can be used to reel in survivors.

The better question is not why i dislike the deathslinger, but why anybody dont ;) What do you like about him?

  • Straight 50/50. Its between mixing the whole session to playing only killer on one day and the other only survivor.

Nah homie, the problems with DBD are obvious.

Look at the game "Depth", a game very similar to this one but 2 sharks vs 4 survivors. They actually listen to the community, add new modes, and the devs play their game and take it seriously.

These devs are acting like clowns who only care about money. The balance is a mess, the bugs are atrocious, and gens fly by way too fast.

So many issues but its all swept under the rug. I wish i could say this game would improv but its been years and i doubt it will.

I dont know the game Depth, but it looks interesting. Apparently it is not very popular and seemingly not growing. I can not judge if this is a prime example on how to do it.

Not sure where the obvious problems in DbD are. Everybody sees it a little bit different, and just because some on this forum are complaining about genspeed does not mean anything. This here is maybe representing 1% of the community, if even and only because many here are longtime gamer does not mean our opinion values more then others.

Just put it in perspective and look alone the controverse we have here. Some say Genspeed is fine, some say its not. Some think a certain killer is to weak and the other half even think he is to strong.

A good example would be you and me. I dont have any issue with bugs, its the least problem i see in this game, same with genspeed. On the other side, i absultly think Deathslinger should be reworked completly, because his mechanic is a mess or that Nurse is still totally overpowered. Not everybody would agree, even tho i am 100% sure i am right. I hope you my point.

  • I agree. They removed toolboxes, they removed instaheals, whats up with moris and keys (i dont mind keys 2 much, but i see why people hate them so much)

His "proving Leatherface is underrated" is the same as "proving Wraith is underrated", just him trying to be controversial to stroke his own ego some more.

And to be quite honest, for a guy with thousands of hours he is quite average. Makes tons of mistakes and does not know how to use killers' powers efficiently like, say, Umbra or OhTofu or Otz or.........

And to be quite honest, for a guy with thousands of hours he is quite average bad

I fixed that for you. You welcome.

  • Let me know any thoughts!

I would not like to see this chapter at all, since i dont see Alien as a horror movie but rather Sci-fi. The Alien would not work very well, because there are maps where she could not use ceilings where she could climb on. And an Alien that is just walking around is just wrong.

I also would not like the Space station as a map, because i dislike indoor. But thats my personal thing.
