  • I honestly think survivors should have a default gen speed penalty when they are hurt, otherwise it's just too easy to get Adrenaline.

    The idea behind the perk is great, honestly, It rewards survivors for risking their lives, but... Doing gens is not risky at all.

    If gens could be completed only by something that would make survivors run around the map, that would be great. You'd be rewarded for playing without getting caught while risking your life going around hurt but that's not the case. Sitting the hole game on a gen without doing anything but holding 1 button and get an insta heal for It is just stupid.

  • @artist said:

    why mention adrenaline? how did u even let it to get to end game as a ruin billy (not in favor of billy getting a nerf btw). also if they only healed once, you should've been able to punish them for it more easily because of your high mobility, so that's not something u should complain about. maybe its different because of console?

    @artist

    "Why mention Adrenaline?" Forgot to mention that I killed 2 of them after all gens were completed and It was thanks to my chainsaw, meaning that if had played any other character I would have ended up with a 2k or even 1k. Also Adrenaline helps Gen Rush, you spend those 30+ seconds doing gens instead of healing yourself and you'll get Adrenaline in no time.

    "How did u even let it get to end game as a Ruin Billy?" I dont know man, maybe because Ruin depends on luck and not skill? It got destroyed at first 30 seconds of the match, just like in almost all of my games, + Im not facing potatoes here, Im facing competent survivors that know what they are doing...

    "If they only healed once you should have been able to punish them more easily thanks to your mobility" You do know that they can just find a loop whenever they hear me coming from a mile away, right? It doesnt matter if I have mobility or not, they just go for the loop and start a chase. Also whenever they get unhooked they go do gens instead of spending 30+ seconds healing, that's almost half a gen done, meaning I have less time to end chases to regain map control...

    Edit:

    I edited the post to mention why I talked about Adrenaline

    Need "Deep wounds" to not count down while in killer's TR. Then he would not be as easily abused. Proximity chasing to allow DW countdown to tick down is a real abuse of legion.

    @HURRI_KAIN

    Only if Nurse's Calling worked on Deep Wounds, otherwise survivors would abuse it

  • I made a thread about this when 2.6.0 went live and some mods said it is bug.

  • Survivor:

    - Being able to hear Myers and Pig's breath.

    - Being able to hear Wraith and Spirit's footsteps (if she uses Prayer Beads is even easier).

    - Being able to check where invisible characters like Freddy, Spirit and Nurse (when she blinks) when you point at them with the flashlight.

    As killer:

    It's better to throw Clown's bottles to high places likes trees or high structures so that the cloud is bigger.

    Distressing+Whispers combo works the same as Prayer Beads if you time it correctly.

    If you dont manage to put the survivor on Broken status effect with your first puke then it's better to hit them 2 times.

  • Im having pretty fast lobby Qs tbh.

    If it takes more than 1 min I just cancel it and start again, sometimes the game just bugs

    With the recent survivor changes, of course! The newest killer has already been nerfed to death and so was thanatophoboa so if that’s ok then why is a three strikes Mori a bad idea?

    You want NOED to be removed and that's a big NO. NOED punishes survivors who dont want to do totems.

    Also, you want to Mori survivors on their last hook... Why? You save time by just hooking them for the last time. Right now you can Mori any survivor you want, if survivors keep rushing instead of looking for the totem they deserve the Mori.

    Yes. Leave simple responses and emojis. Thanks for the constructive conversation guys.

    Wait... Is this post for real? Like... A serious post? You actually believe this would be ok?

  • 😂😂😂😂

  • Whenever that starts to happen just close the game and do something else, come back when you feel better :)

    It only works once, and it can be countered by certain killers as well as perks. It's not going to be OP.

    Pre balanced DS also worked just once, just saying...

  • If you go down too early in the game I wont pay for your mistakes. If the killer is camping I'll just do gens.

    And with all those buffs they'd still suffer the same problems, being looped to hell while not being able to punish hard survivor mistakes.

    Billy is just as loopable as any other killer...

    So... You are telling me that you see no difference between a Myers with the 2 add-ons that increase the evil he gains when stalking and a no add-ons Myers...

  • @MhhBurgers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/392977#Comment_392977

    There's no physical way possible to buff the other killers to his level unless you like removed their ######### terror radius and red stain or some extreme ######### like that.

    Even if you buffed freddy by making his transition instant he'd still not have mapwide mobility and unlimited instadowns.

    @MhhBurgers

    Im not talking about making every killer a 1 shot and high mobility character, Im talking about making them stronger at what their power is meant to do.

    Some characters just need some add-ons to be base stats for them (Doctor's range, Myers amount of evil gained, Trapper having all his traps, etc)

  • Nerfing the viable killers is not the solution. Devs should buff weak killers to his lvl.

  • Ok, I'll let you choose which one you like the most:

    SWF literally BREAKS the game as has been proven again and again, you can't compare this. Also legion has counters, only a very good legion cannot be countered by a single player but then again you were NEVER supposed to go toe to toe with a killer like that, the devs only rolled with this because survivors liked it (duh).

    I'd prefer to play this game the way it was envisioned over how the community wants it to be. No loops, 40 second chases at most, no infinites.

    Why would you play the game if there was no loops? We all agree that infinites are complete BS and should be removed but regular loops? That's where most of the killers powers get used, that's where the mind-game happens, that's the actual fun thing about the game. Would you really have fun if you downed everyone while running always is straight line?

    SWF breaks the game yes, but the real problem is devs dont want to balance the game around high competitive gameplay. Once devs close the gap between Solos and SWF we'll see killer improvements, until then we'll have to deal with what we have.

  • So apparently if you use a tool to win games more often (SWF) means you dont have the right to talk about how broken a character is (literally has no counter unless the player behind the screen is a dumbass).

    If we use that same rule say bye bye to a lot of people playing Nurse and Billy...

    It's not just "a few people" those who think he is unskilled, unfun and all that. It's not just survivors and streamers, there are killers who think the same way.

    If behaviour wants to make this killer top tier I dont have a problem with that, I have a problem if they keep him the way he is, even if he is the worst killer in the game.

  • STBFL doesnt work on hatches.

    I like to use it on Myers, as soon as you see the obsession you hit that lvl 3 and only loose 2 tokens

  • I hate you.

    Hahaha I have... but that’s not the problem in fact, there are spots where you can’t distinguish what’s grass, what’s tree, what’s survivor. It’s all a blurry dark thing. I haven’t played in the cornfields as a killer after the patch. It’s probably even worse

    Yh I know what you mean, for some reason basements and some rooms are specially dark too. I have my monitor's brightness at max for this kind of situations :)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/386757#Comment_386757

    Can't you hit survivors through the windows? Or is it the climbing through/walking around that bothers you?

    @Mashtyx1 said:

    @tt_ivi_99 Sure survivors have window vacuum but us killers can literally hit them through everything at the moment.

    Sometimes I question myself if some survivors actually know how broken survivor sided is...

    You can spam the action button so that you get sucked by the window as soon as you get inside the area to do the animation (there is an area in which you can press the action button before the warning to activate it even shows up) Im talking about fast vaults you smart guys, you can get a sprint provided by the vacuum and fast vault the window even if you are meant to do a slow vault.

    You can not hit any survivor if their feet lands after a fast vault unless you have like 150+ ping, something that'll get even more consistent after dedicated servers arrive.

  • It's a pretty cool idea tbh and I dont really see a problem with it. It should not work if the killer has someone on the shoulders tho, that would be extremely op

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/388249#Comment_388249

    Your goal isn't to really win the chase though, it's to stall the killer. You win through attrition because they just spend so much time chasing you up and down they usually give up. And if you are good at winning the chase, you can make the killer spend a lot of time on you and just end it almost at any time.

    Also DH isn't for winning chases either. It's to extend them to the next pallet or window, or to recover from a mistake. Problem is if a killer is good they will just bait the DH and get you anyway.

    @thesuicidefox

    That's what I used to think too but after how piping works now I have to win chases so that I can unhook and do gens. I used to be one of the runners of my team but now I always try to loose the killer instead of keep him busy.

    DH is meant to help you reach a window or pallet yes, I never said I used It to win a chase. I just said that you dont need those infinites provided by BL if your goal is to win a chase, therefore if I had to choose one of them I'd go for DH.

  • Balance Landing can "activate" some pretty strong infinites, Dead Hard can save your ass if you use it properly.

    I would go for DH tbh, those infinites are not really needed if you are good at winning chases

  • How about everyone starts cleansing totems instead of complaining about how broken NOED is?

  • You know what the counter to Billy is? Stay near a loop whenever you see someone get hooked, end of the problem.

  • I like my customized characters...

    @HazeHound

    This post is already proposing something that makes sense, focus on fixing some stuff before releasing new content, nobody here is disrepecting the devs or anything.

  • Yh, I've had this same problem a lot. It would be nice to have the option to turn down the volume of the chase

  • @Mat_Sella said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/386885#Comment_386885

    Because it's highly unreliable due to requiring skill checks, also it's detrimental until the third skill check. Usually trying to get to the third skill check ends up in a killer tracking you or the injured survivor down and killing someone.

    If the perk increased the chance of getting Healing Skill Checks, then it would be a worthwhile perk

    @Mat_Sella

    Is that the same excuse you use for Bottany, Leader, We'll Make It or Empathy?

    There are already strong counters to Thanatophobia but devs decided to just nerf it because survivors didnt want to change their Self-care, DS, Exhaustion, Adrenaline build.

  • Completely agree.

    It's time to take a break from the constant 3 months DLC and focus on more important things

  • @Army_Stich said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/386879#Comment_386879

    Not everyone plays both sides well, I have over 1000 hours in game but mostly as survivor and as a killer I rarely get a 4k because i lack the skill to catch survivors even though they are looping me exactly as I would if I was them. So hours played is not a great way of determining skill unless its divided up based off which side you play.

    @Army_Stich

    I though people would assume that It should be divided, the playstyle is just too diferent if you change from survivor to killer and vice versa.

  • @Army_Stich said:

    The problem I'm trying to point out is that if your stuck in lower ranks and you gen rush the killer you are now forever stuck because the killer lacks the skill to avoid being gen rushed. Now because of this they may have not downed anyone or even hit someone so there goes that emblem. You never get chased so there goes that. You may get 3 gens and escape untouched so you get those emblems, and now you just safety piped.

    Something that would never happen if you were facing a guy with 1000+ hours played...

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/386865#Comment_386865

    Hours played isn't a rank system is definitely not accurate for matching.

    @Blueberry

    It totally is, if you are bad at the game after playing 1000h you are trash.

    Why the hell do I need to do a gen if I want to rank up? Holding M1 determinates my skill? The time I spend in this game determinates my skill. After 1000h played you should know every trick in the game.

    Also, what does rank even do? It just serves the purpose of playing against/with people of the same rank.

    I would understand this Rank System we currently have if it rewarded you with something but you get nothing from ranking up, just playing with more experienced people (those who dont de-rank on purpose to face newbies).

  • Another reason to change Rank System so that it's based on hours played instead of "skill"

  • Always survivors, no matter what other people say or think, it's a fact.

    When a killer plays perfectly is because he is punishing survivors making mistakes (unless you are Nurse), if survivors dont make mistakes there is no perfect play for the killer, simple as that.

    Gen Rush shortens the amount of times the killer could punish a survivor.

  • The Buss window, right? I never go for it, I know I'll get bugged, it'd be nice if devs fixed It already

    in mortal kombat, yes hes a god. if he was not, he would be dethroned mayn times over.

    and its the same in dbd as lowskill as thisgame can be there still are better players than others. a LOT better.

    @benzos

    I dont think you get the point here...

    If you have the tools to bury any killer but you dont, that's your problem, because you have the tools but you dont use them. That doesnt mean the game is balanced, it just means the game is full of newbies. The tools are meant to be balanced, not the players, you cant balance around how people play, that's stupid, you have to balance the game around the tools that are provided.

  • @benzos said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/386752#Comment_386752

    i play mortal kombat and i know sonicfox. not everyone can play like sonicfox. its not even close. why do you think he the best in the world.

    @benzos

    "Not everyone can play like SonicFox".

    Do you think SonicFox is some kind of God or something? There might be some asian kid playing MK 10 times better than him, just because you dont see him It doesnt mean he is not there.

  • Git gud.

    Survivors have window vacuum so until that's removed I'd like to keep the hook vacuum.

  • @benzos said:

    if only 1% of survivosr play like this then what is the prob if most matches dont go like that? hahaha

    @benzos

    I dont know if you know who SonicFox is but he is well known in the fighting game community because he is the best player in the world and a lot of characters have been nerfed thanks to how he plays them. If he can play like that then everyone else can, that's the reason why every game should be balanced around high competitive gameplay and not just fun.

  • Billy because I use him to bury SWF teams. The best part is the salt :)

    in So: Comment by tt_ivi_99
  • I was playing SWF and we faced a Wraith that wanted one of my friends so bad (he was the obsession).

    He figured the killer had rancor and he got downed before we could end the last gen.

    The killer didnt pick him up or anything, he just waited for the last gen to pop to mori him. We tried to save him but he ended up getting his ass moried :)

  • I wouldnt nerf Adrenaline if gen rush wasnt a problem but... Gens can be done in less than 4 min and that's not enough time for some killer to complete their objective.

    I would temporally nerf Adrenaline if NOED got nerfed, and revert the nerf once second objectives or end-game changes see the light.

  • @Blue_Diamond said:

    I came up with something that might give her map pressure, but not able to M1 and be ranged at he same time.

    So she should have 2 modes:

    1) Hunt Mode: 120% movement speed. You can only use hatchets, but charging and holding a hatchet slows you to 110%. You have no terror radius, but you lullaby is directional and 18m

    2) Scout mode: 110% movement speed. You can not use hatchets. You have a 16m terror radius and your lullaby plays within 32m

    This way, she can have speedy gen pressure but must use her hatchets to injure people, so she cannot M1 chase survivors when she has range.

    Switching Modes will take 1.3 seconds and slow the Huntress to 105% speed

    @Blue_Diamond

    Why dont you post this on fan creations? It's a nice idea for a killer's power if you develop it more :)

  • In my opinion new DS is great, if It was to be changed it should not work if the killer hooks someone else in those 60 seconds, sometimes the killer just finds the unhooked instead of the unhooker.

1 … 14 15 16 17 18 … 27
