It happened something similar to me yesterday. Maybe it's because PS servers have been the same since Ps3 came out, I have friends playing on Pc who dont have this problem.
-
Complaining and saying the game is trash is easy, giving good ideas on how to solve the game is too difficult for some people...
-
Pick your poison, you either play 3v1 or 4v1 and 1 guy DCs. Assuming you get into a match...

That's just it the 4 man swf swat team exist but are so rare and yet they just used as an excuse every time. I've faced good 4 man swat teams and also destroyed the same 4 man swat teams on later maps.
But the truth is most 4 man swf are over altruistic potatoes yet when you 4k you never come to the forums and complain about it.
Of course I complain about it, if I get a 4k against a good SWF team is because they ######### up bad and not because I play good unless Im playing Nurse/Billy, I know I dont stand a chance playing Wraith, Freddy, Clown or someone like that. You said it yourself, they go super altruistic and play like potatoes.
You dont just play good against a good team of 4 SWF and at least get a 2k, you get an Entity Displeased because that killer just doesnt have the tools to combat that kind of players. Billy and Nurse are top tier killers because either they punish survivors mistakes way harder or you ######### them up thanks to your skill.
It's not easy at all, which is what OP was saying...
-
Pretty bad devs nerfed Thanatophobia...
Not all killers can enjoy having 4 survivors hurt at the same time. It would be nice if Thanatophobia had the same numbers from the PTB but could only work on gens... (Not my idea btw)

I've seen Trappers 4k against good survivors and same for other killers, they know how to path properly etc.
It's also hilarious how whenever a killer struggles it's because survivors are op but if the killer does well it's because they were potatoes.
Pretty lucky or they werent really good survivors...
Do you even know what a good team of SWF looks like? It's a team which doesnt teabag or flashlights you to death and instead they do gens like ######### crazy, ruin or not. They know how to loop, where to hide and they always get your ruin at the first 30 seconds of the match because they know every single totem spot. They know how to counter killers and they know how to work as a team.
If Billy already does kinda good against good survivors... Trapper doesnt stand a chance unless survivors ######### up.
-
Do you play on Ps4? Because I do and I have the same problems but I have friends playing on Pc and they dont...
-
There are no nerfs planned for Self-care...
I encourage you to play Trapper against any 4 man SWF or against any decent solo survivors team and you'll see how "easy" is to play killer. Anyone can get 4k playing against potatoes, just saying...

How would you balance in your hour based ranked when a swf group wants to play with a friend who is new to the game. So you get a veteran and a newbie in the same group.
Would you balance it around the Veteran and risk the newbie would get stomped if found first and this crushing defeat turns him off to play dbd entirely.
Would you balance it around the newbie so the killer would get looped by the veteran and have an incentive to quit dbd.
Right now we have something in between. The killer roflstomps the newbie but gets looped by the veteran. No one is really happy.
Also there are only that much veterans in every given time and facing the same players over and over again can be unfun and boring too.
It doesnt have to be strictly veterans vs veterans or newbies vs newbies.
It should be something like this:
0-50h
51-150h
151-300h
300h+
If you play SWF and you have someone with 0-50h, and the other 3 are 151-300h you should get the arithmetic mean and place them were they belong.
-
DCs and Matchmaking.
This is how all my matches have been since the last update:
-
Just tap "Cotte playing hag against koreans" on YouTube, it's the first video.
-
Solo players would be stronger if things like Kindred or Bond were free perks and It wouldnt really benefit SWF since they already "have" those perks thanks to voice chat.
As a SWF player I know this wont solve the problem tho. SWF players are strong because they are a team full of people that knows every single trick in the game. I've never played with someone that goes down in the first 10 seconds of a chase tbh.
If devs really want to close the gap between SWF and Solos, Rank System should be based on hours played. If you are bad at the game after 1000h it's your fault and not because you just started playing the game... Veterans would be teamming up with veterans to face veterans and new people would be teamming up with new people to face new people.
This would also lead to killer buffs because they would need the tools to combat this veterans.

I have a lot of fun playing as her but I think the insta heals should be removed. Everything else is great :)

You should run Thanatophobia when it gets buffed. Meanwhile you'll have to rely on Ruin...

Rancor + Free aura reading from MoM = Free mori. The Obsession cannot hide when you always know where they are at.
Who the hell is gonna heal up if he's tye obsession and he knows the killer has rancor?

Gen Rush is not fun for killer, learn how to deal with slugging.

So in the event they aren’t in a place to face an object, how could I as a survivor best position myself for the save? Is there anyway I can use the downed survivors position as a indicator to where the killer will be facing?
Not possible, the killer determinates which direction he'll be looking at when picking up a survivor.
-
It would be cool if totems could only be cleansed after the survivors repair a gen or unhook some one for the first time...
-
Yh, I liked it a lot :)
Devs balanced DS, optimization arrived to console (so I'll be able to finally play Nurse again), love the new killer and survivor and their respective perks as well (I have a couple of awesome builds with them), I like the changes to all the perks mentioned in the patch notes (except Fired Up and Specially Thanatophobia), love the new map and... That's it.
I really think they did a pretty good job overall :)

I'm just pointing out that if the survivor got hit 3 times without being downed then that says something about how those chases went. Specifically that on 2 separate occasions in a row the Killer found the survivor and then the survivor got away, if he didn't then he would have been downed deactivating the perk. If it doesn't work that way (ie: The perk stays active anyways) then yes that is bad. But if it resets on a down then the counterplay is literally what the Killers are already doing anyways.
Plus it isn't abusable because things like traps and hatchets don't count, and insta-downs bypass it.
Lets use an actual example:
I down Nea with 2 hits and hook her, then she is saved and healed by Meg.
I now find David on the other side of the map and hit him, in the middle of the chase I find Nea doing a gen so I switch targets to apply preassure because David will have to spend 30+ seconds healing.
I hit Nea and now I have to hit her 2 more times to down her... Tell me how is that balanced? She just ######### up 4 times and gets rewarded for it while I lost all my preassure when I was the one playing good.
-
@Boss said:
Can we also consider that this Perk is not intended to be seen yet?
The basics sound pretty dreadful, but maybe they'll change the idea completely in the future.
I seriously hope that's the case.
If Im honest... I think they leaked this on purpose, I mean... They might know that this perk in particular could be like a new DS and they might want to know what the community feels about it so that they can either continue with the perk or just change it.
Edit: Forgot to tag you :)

Yes? Seems to me like as good a purpose as any for a perk to fulfill.
My point is:
Why the killer gets punished if he is not tunneling, he is playing how the devs wanted killers to play (hurt people and make them waste time instead of nerfing gen speed), and he is getting people down?
Why do survivors get rewarded after they get hit 3 times? That's 3 times they ######### up and they get rewarded for it...
Why do killers always get nothing from playing good and instead they have to rely on luck (totems, maps, survivors messing up) and cant have a match in which the result is determinated by their skill? (Something Thanatophobia was gonna make)

I don't think it means what you think it does. Basically it says it is disabled when you get downed. Lets go on this series of events if this works like I think it does:
A: You get hit twice and are now downed. You get hooked and then unhooked but are immediately downed again. You have now been hit 3 times so the perk activates. However you were just downed so it deactivates. The perk is now not active
B: You get hit once and then heal back up. You then get hit twice and are now downed. The perk refreshes like in case A.
C: You get hit twice and are now downed. You are hooked and then unhooked, your unhooker heals your back to full. The killer comes back and hits you. The perk is now active and will absorb the next attack.
D: You get hit and then heal back to full on 2 separate occasions without getting downed. The Killer injures you again and now the perk activates and will absorb the next attack.
In cases C and D if you were to then heal back to full then your aura would be revealed while the perk remains active. Note how in both cases you NEED to successfully escape the Killer and put work in to get it meaningfully active. Even using an instant heal doesn't cut it.
It punishes the killer if he tries to go after different people in the middle of a chase, something it's needed to apply preassure and not get gen rushed.

Awful perk, a second DS... Thanks but no.

Well... Guess I'll keep playing Billy :)

I removed the 110% bit from the title so people focus on the build itself.
Enduring + Spiritual Fury is a perfect combo for any killer that cant combat looping (Leatherface, Billy, Wraith, Trapper).
Bamboozle is great for killers that already have tools to combat looping (Myers, Pig, maybe Clown/Doctor).
Never liked Brutal Strenght, it's kind of weak tbh.
-
She still has more counter play than Legion...
-
110% Killers are those who can end chases faster thanks to their strong power (except Legion). Why you think Nurse is 96%ms? Because if you play her good there is no chase.
I dont think any killer with 110%ms need an anti-looping build tbh.
-
Im always getting asians with 300+ Ping.
They dont leave the damn lobby, they just stand there like "######### it, lets do this", Im the one who is forced to leave... Gotta admire that japanese will tbh, you gotta have some big balls of steel if you are ready to play on a 300+ ping lobby...

1: Legion
2: Legion
3: Legion
4: Legion
5: ... 🤔? Legion

There are no bann waves
You only get banned if your DC rate exceeds some absurdly high rate, its been like tha ton PC and its the same on consoles
Didnt devs say that they ban people but they ban them all at the same time?
-
I like the idea of the toys revealing the aura but as a power I think it's kind of weak. Maybe instead of making you expossed the Toy just damages all the survivors that are working on the gens.
Like the perks but I think "Death is Just a Word" is kind of Broken tbh 😂
PS: Sorry It took me this long to reply, I didnt see your msg until now (I was checking old posts and saw it).

Just because you havent found them it doesnt mean they are not there, they just dont talk about it.

Ok. I bought all the dlc over the weekend, if that factors into the choice. Is there a perk besides bbq or ruin that you (might) consider using on nearly every killer?
(I have 900k bp & am a lost child in a mall)
Each killer has different playstyles and therefore different builds. I can tell you my builds in case you want some inspiration.
(Skip to the section written like this if you dont care)I use BBQ and Ruin on every killer so I'll just name the other 2 perks:
Trapper: NOED, Sloppy (I'll change Sloppy for Corrupted Intervention I think)
Wraith: Save the Best for Last, Play With Your Food
Billy: Enduring, Spiritual Fury
Nurse: Nurse's Calling, Sloppy (I'll change Sloppy for Infectious Fright)
Doctor: NOED, Sloppy
Hag: Make Your Choice, Sloppy
Myers: Bamboozle, Nurse's Calling
Bubba: Agitation, Iron Grasp
Huntress: Iron Maiden, Nurse's Calling
Freddy: Haunted Ground, NOED
Pig: NOED, Bamboozle
Clown: I dont use this guy
Spirit: Make Your Choice, Haunted Ground
Legion: Nurse's Calling, Sloppy
Plague: I think I'll use Corrupted Intervention and something else to stop Genrush because she cant make survivors heal... Maybe Pop Goes the Weasel
Tbh, I would choose NOED as mandatory on almost every mid/low tier character. Killers like Freddy, Doctor, Pig, Wraith, Trapper can have a hard time if they dont have NOED. Killers like Bubba, Myers, Huntress, Billy, Nurse can live without it.Hope this helps :)

If you dont like to get tunneled DS is perfect for you :)
When I first started to play the game DS was on the Shrine and my brother told me to buy it so I did, only to realize that Laurie Strode had It as a teachable perk 🙃. So if you happen to buy the Halloween DLC (which I suggest you to do) you dont need to buy the perk from the Shrine, you just need to lvl up your Laurie and unlock it as a teachable. This will be the new version of DS once it hits live: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Decisive_Strike (maybe this week btw).
You can get Monitor and Abuse, Nurse's Calling and Sprint Burst if you grind for them with bloodpoints and unlock them as teachables too :)
-
I can live with Legion and the frozen loading screen but devs need to punish DCs way harder. Im talking about allowing 3 DCs each month, which still feels like too much, and once you pass those 3 DCs you get banned for 1 week.
I get that you have limited time to play and you dont want to face certain killers but those other 4 people inside that match feel just like you do so I think it's pretty fair to punish those people who dont care about the fun of other people playing.
-
I like to bury toxic SWF teams as Billy with my insta saw, Ebony Mori, BBQ, Ruin, Enduring and Spiritual Fury build.
The salt is strong when you play like that :)

This would make even Legion even more annoying and removes the choice to heal or not.
Survivors should see the benefit of healing up but should not be forced to do it which is what this would do.
This would change the "Rush Gens and get Adrenaline" meta tho, It would force survivors to bring perks like Bottany Knowledge, We'll Make It, Empathy, etc.
Also if people get the chance to just do gens instead of healing they'll do gens, it already happens against killers who are not Legion, at least in my case...
Edit: Forgot to tag you :)
-
What if instead of causing Broken you make them go on a timer that once is full they go Broken?
If they dont heal in time then they go Broken and if you use Feral Frenzy you see the scratch marks of Broken survivors and if you hit them with Feral Frenzy you down them instantly.
This would solve the problem with people not healing against Legion. His power would be used as a tool to hurt multiple survivors and it would punish those who dare to laugh at the killer by not healing.

You smell what Billy is cooking?
