way do some players say this game is dying?

i looked at the steam charts today and its been the same since i last looked a year ago. so way do they think this game is dying? it got me confused so much that im thinking its not worth getting the new killer. i want to get the new killer but this is making me think again. Cause i dont want to buy a dlc if the game is dying. it got me really confused someone plz clear this up for me. THX...;)

    me too. i love this game but if its true then ill buy another game sadly:( i was going to buy the new killer but i might just buy a different game until this gets fixed or something.

    Normally, when a new chapter comes out, it brings a lot of players with it. That's what happened with the clown, spirit and legion.

    Plague's chapter did bring people back to the game but so many people gave up playing the game that even though we have a new chapter, we still couldn't see 27k peak people.

    The game may not die at this point but they surely lose a lot of people. Right now, the chapter is fresh and day by day, the game will lose its players. Hell, if the things don't get changed, we might go under 15k until the next chapter comes out.

    i dont have trouble finding games. and i agree its more easier. but what gets me confused is that what some players are saying about the game is dying.

    Complaining and saying the game is trash is easy, giving good ideas on how to solve the game is too difficult for some people...

    This has been the first time when a DLC didnt increase the game population for a short time at least (even clown did for a few weeks).

    The DCing is unbearable and a lot of veteran have left the game already or are taking a break

    On top, the higher queue times (for both sides) create the inclusion that there are even less players, but thats the matchmakings fault

    I wouldn't say DBD is dying. The game acts more like a revolving door with occasional spurts of growth when new content hits. Those new players are likely to just leave as fast as they came back, however. At its core, the game hasn't evolved significantly in about 3+ years.
