    So they nerfed a perk that discouraged tunnelling?

    You know what that means folks!

    IT'S TUNNEL TIME!

    Defenetly looks like it, they first wanted to buff Self-care and now they actually nerf Thanatophobia...

    Enduring and tunneling time :)

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

    7 seconds too strong. Confirmed by the devs.

    Honestly, they are probably too afraid of Sloppy+Thana becoming meta. Especially with all the griping from Survivors about Sloppy Butcher Legions. They should just make Thanataphobia ONLY work on gen speeds and crank up the values. That would keep it from making Heals take too long with Sloppy and give killers a tool against the current, "Don't heal, rush gens, ADRENAWIN!" Survivor meta.

    So meanwhile we have to still rely on a perk that can be destroyed at the first 15 seconds of the start of the game?

    Pretty good job so far :)

  • Good, cant count the amount of perks that practically kill some killer's powers.

  • Yh, it's going to be nerfed btw. It's a freaking joke now.

  • I like how survivors complained so much about NOED that devs said "f*ck ya'll" and made DH a nerfed version of it

  • I tried this build once and it was around 5-6 seconds

    Then tell me how tf would you would for example bring Freddy or Myers to billy's level without breaking Billy/Nurse in the process. Or Clown or Doc.

    @MhhBurgers

    Every killer suffers from the same, Gen Rush. Even tho Gen Rush is the only counter to camping, that's why It wont be changed. If you want to buff killers to Billy Tier you have to make them stronger inside chases.

    Freddy: Should not be visible when dream transition, or at least he should know when he is visible and invisible, this would allow him to mind-game survivors even better and thus chases wouldnt last as much. Also add different dream tiers just like Madness, each tier penalizes the survivor more.

    Myers: Just reduce the amount of evil he needs to lvl up.

    You can follow this patter with every killer, they should be better at chases. Billy is so good because if he finds you on an open area you are done, thus eliminating any chase.

    Billy is in no way balanced and keeps most of the killer roster down because the game cannot be balanced towards killers right now with Billy and Nurse running rampant having mechanics that no other killer will ever get again.

    @MhhBurgers

    All the contrary, if all killers were Billy Tier the game would be balanced because every killer would stand a chance against the most experienced survivors but devs want "fun" over competition, even tho this game's fun heavily relies on winning...

  • @Supernaut

    If you change your camera controls (turn right->E; turn left->Q) you will have more starting mobility when using the chainsaw.

  • I would buy any kind of book/comic that explained the Lore of each character in dept. Also it would be nice to know what the hell happened to Benedict Baker...

  • You Better Watch Your Mouth 14032019112515.jpg

    Seriously, stop complaining about him.

    If you dont want to go down just stay near a loop whenever you hear the heartbeat instead of trying to squeeze the gen until the killer is on your ass, problem solved.

  • I like the Deep Wounds idea but I think making It 3-4 hits to activate is too much, 1 hit is good enough so that you can leave and go after other people.

    This killer needs 115%ms if his power is not lethal, otherwise he'll end up being useless.

    Also I always thought that Frank's Mixtape should allow him to see a marks, it would be nice considering Spirit has an add-on that allows her to see blood.

  • Keep in mind a good killer knows how to counter some of this tactics.

    When you are in a chase:

    Nurse: Use walls and structures with double flours to break line of sight. You can see where the Nurse is gonna land after a blink thanks to the red stain (it's weaker but you can still see it). Her character model is still there and you can blind her with the flashlight before her blink ends, thus burning her.

    Billy: Never try to go for a window if you see him charging his chainsaw. If he has his chainsaw ready and you are in the open dont go for his blindspot, It doesnt work against Billy mains, try to circle in front of him to make him guess on which direction you gonna 360 him.

    Spirit: When she is using her power you can try to blind her with a flashlight, if the beam gets smaller until you effectively blind her she is real and you should not get near her. Listen to her footsteps when in phase mode as they are louder. You can check where she is by looking at the grass or pointing with the flashlight, if she is in phase mode her character model is still wherever she is, that means the flashlight beam will show you where she is because It will get smaller (as if you were pointing at an invisible wall) when you point at her.

    Shape: Dont let him stalk you, try to break line of sight as much as you can. If he doesnt have Terror Radius focus on sounds, his breathing can be heard from a mile away if you use headphones.

    Pig: Abandon the loop if she crouches to ambush you.

    Trapper: If the traps are in a pallet then drop it first and then jump it, if you manage to see them just circle around them as if they were part of the loop (keep in mind some traps cant be deactivated or evaded)

    Hag: Abuse her 110%ms, whenever you see her place a trap leave the loop or burn it with a flashlight, you can also try to activate it at the farest range possible so that she cant lunge.

    Huntress: Dont get stuck in animations when she is holding a hatchet (dont drop pallet or jump windows). Just like hag abuse her 110%ms. Keep in mind she is slower when holding a hatchet. Crouch whenever you are looping an "eye contact loop" (Autohaven loops)

    Clown: Just loop this guy, honestly there is no problem. Drop pallets a little earlier until he runs out of bottles, when he starts reloading just run as far away as you can and keep far distance.

    Wraith: Loop him, camp pallets and dont try to go for a window if he is close to you, he'll bodyblock you even if he is standing next to you and not between you and the window.

    Leatherface: Just loop him, nothing to worry about. Stay near loops if you hear the hart beat, if he finds you in the open you are dead.

    Freddy: Check the grass around you. Just like The Spirit. His character model is always there when he is invisible so you can use the flashlight beam to check where he is. Once he is visible he is easy to loop. Keep in mind his lunge range looks smaller than what it actually is, dont underestimate it.

    Hope this helps :)

    Edit:

    As @Unnamed_Freak pointed, I forgot about Doctor ๐Ÿ˜‚

    If you see him charging his Shockwave you can go for his blindspot, he wont hit you. If he hits you with It you have to keep in mind you wont be able to jump windows/pallets or throw any pallet down for 3 seconds. His red stain add-on is pretty powerful so stay away from Jungle Gyms and go for the "eye contact loops"

    I also added a couple of tricks to some characters as I forgot to mention them when I made this.

    I still have yo play against The Plague, maybe when I do I'll edit this post again :)

  • I love their backstory, how they went from a couple of teens who just wanted some adrenaline to a group of sick freaks.

    Also like how they feel "real"

  • He doesnt need any rework, the idea behind the character is awesome (be able to hurt multiple people in no time) but the execution is awful. Why?

    1st: His power doesnt give you enough time and speed to go search for a second survivor when you hit the first one, therefore he is not good at what he is meant to be good.

    2nd: His power breaks any survivor defense. This is great, it lets him get to other survivors (if they are close enough) pretty damn fast once he hits the others but... You can down people with his power. That's bad game design. A power that lets you down any player you want because they cant defend themselves? Bad game design. That's why devs are working on him right now.

    I dont want him to be removed because I freaking love the character (I even dressed as him in Carnival and posted my own mask on Community Creations) but I hate how braindead he is. If devs rework him and make it so that he is not able to go after multiple people (which I dont think this will happen) I'll be very disappointed. The only fix is to make him unnable to use his power to down people, he should use it as a tool to hurt multiple survivors, that's it. Make him 115%ms so that survivors have a reason to heal against him as well.

    By the look of things you play with a survive with friends Squad. So you already have teammates that might be willing to get in the killers way to take heat off of you if you suspect that you're going to be chased into the dirt.

    With a killer that knows what they're doing they're not going to lose Chase with you. Eventually they're going to get you. This killer can easily be countered by putting things in its way in forcing them to exhaust their own resource which is time.

    If I'm in a Chase and I know eventually you're going to get me I would want to burn as much time of The Killers as I can while my teammates be either friends or randoms can get stuff done.

    This is a team-based game. Not to mention I already told you how to counter this d rank killer

    Yh, I've said I play SWF multiple times, so?

    You say that a killer will eventually get you, yes that might be the case or not, that doesnt matter.

    You talk about how you need to distract the killer for as long as you can so that your teammates can do gens, right? How you gonna do that if there is nothing you can do to evade this killer in a chase? You cant prolong the chase unless the killer is just terrible at the game and starts 360 swinging around like a lost wheel, that's the problem, that's why almost nobody likes to face him. If Hillbilly tries to hit me with his chainsaw I can just go for a window or go for a pallet so that he doesnt down me, if the Wraith tries to bodyblock me I can turn the other way around and go for the other side of the loop, if a Huntress is trying to throw a hatchet at me I can stay on her blindspot or I can ignore windows and pallets. All of these are ways to prolong the chase, I cant prolong the chase if there are no ways to fight the killer. Also constantly getting hit without a single mind-game is just so damn boring, it's like taking off the Block Button on a fighting videogame and see who smashes the Attack Button faster.

    ๐Ÿคจ

    All right since you don't care about your own teammates getting out alive

    Since you want help with a Chase let me humor you. Since this is supposed to be a discussion about the killer not an argument.

    For starters while you're in Chase with this killer they don't see stretch marks. That being the case on certain maps and if you know how to Shadow Juke then you won't have much of a problem stuck in this killer and a Chase no matter how fast they are some Killers will miss details especially given the speed that this killer travels when they activate their power.

    While we're still on speed. I don't have to remind you all but this killer does move slightly slower than a regular killer when not using their power.

    If you're in Chase yes the Killer is fast but the reaction time isn't as fast as some might think. This particular killer in Chase can be easily knocked out of their ability by side pallets.

    This particular killer can you easily ran into the dirt and forced to exhaust their power. Believe it or not in some circumstances it's much easier to drop a pallet a run and force them to use their ability so they can immediately burn out of it again.

    If this particular killer manages to hit you with their ability and still decides to chase you like a dumbass instead of going after other survivors. Then it seems you have their attention. Since you don't give a ######### about your teammates and their survival.

    There's something to note. Unless the killer wants to be an idiot and use the moonwalk exploit then you keep running and throwing pallet in their way because they're either going to have to break them or keep using their ability to chase you down. Depending on what add-ons the Killer is using it might take the killer 4 to 5 hits to down you.

    All the while unless they have Bloodhound on won't be able to easily track you since they don't see scratch marks.

    @Countfunkular

    Im still waiting for you to tell me a good counter intead of praying that the guy playing as Legion is trash.

    You dont seem to understand what an actual counter inside a chase is, let me show you some examples:

    Pig crouches to use her ambush attack. Counter? Leave the loop

    Trapper places trap on a pallet. Counter? Drop pallet and jump over it or disarm the trap.

    Spirit uses her power. Counter? Stop running and walk, check if she can be blinded when she is standing still.

    Huntress is ready to throw a hatch at you. Counter? Dont get stuck in any animation (dont drop the pallet and dont jump the window)

    Myers stalks you. Counter? Break line of sight.

    This are real counters. Praying that the killer is awful at the game is not a counter, nobody falls for "shadows jukes" in 2019 unless you just started playing this game yesterday. Moonwalk is not countarable by anything and it's the most used tactic. If he chases you with his power he'll down you no matter what, even if It took a billion hits to down you people would still hate this character because as I already said, there is no counter to it, you cant beat him in a chase, there is no virtual way to stop him from downing you, he is the only killer that if he wants you dead you are dead and that's a problem. There is no other killer like that in this game, even Nurse has limits and we all know how powerful she is, good survivors dont complain about her because there is counterplay, just like Billy, or Spirit, the main high tier killer of this game.

    I personally suck at mindgaming Spirit but I never complained about her because she has counterplay, this guy doesnt and if you cant see that problem then you dont understand this game at all.

    So Im still waiting for you to tell me something I can do to beat this guy. 360s dont stop him, jump windows dont stop him, drop pallets dont stop him, jukes dont stop him (again, who the hell falls for this in 2019? And if you do, it's gonna be only one time unless you have a potato instead of a brain)

    Still waiting for a counter...

  • @Hoodied said:

    @artist so you don't argue about nurse, a killer that 2 hits and can teleport, but you argue about a killer that takes 5 hits to take you down?

    @Hoodedfengm1n

    Nurse can be countered in a chase by just breaking line of sight and changing direction each time she teleports.

  • @Countfunkular said:

    @tt_ivi_99

    All right since you're still waiting and I thought I answered your question beforehand and yet you're still going around and complaining...

    Here it's how you deal with the legion.

    When you go against this killer there are two things to note to beat them

    1. If this killer leaves you immediately to go hit someone else and chain wound. Then take the time to mend, heal yourself and go back to working on generators. Dollars to Donuts says that he wants has many people injured as possible but the last person they hit are usually the one that gets chased down well everybody else is still out doing their own thing.

    2. If this killer is dumb enough the tunnel one person they're going to lose. Especially if they have Perks and abilities to help them find other people but they're going to stick to killing one then move to another when it's no late.

    To beat this killer you all have to split. I'm dead serious you have to split the other side of the map and just isolate other survivors away from yourself. Kind of hard to use your ability to hunt people down when they're all across the map and way out of your radius.

    There you go just evolve to the killer that you're fighting. They're not that difficult to defeat if you keep your head.

    @Countfunkular

    1: Is not a counter in a chase, it depends on the killer, not in any mind-game.

    2: I already said I dont care about a counter so that people get out alive, I want to know how to counter him in a chase, Im still waiting.

  • Survivors: Rank System.

    Killer: The speed at which a Gen can be done. Although this wont be a problem for me anymore cuz I'll be sure to use the new Tanatophobia with every killer.

  • @Orion said:

    I haven't really used many of the Legion's add-ons, particularly the ones people complain about, so I shall refrain from commenting about their add-ons.

    I know for a fact that people haven't learned how to play against the Legion, because they DC a lot. How can you learn to play against anything if you won't play against it?

    Have you played against him?

    Im a SWF player and everyone in my group plays killer just like me, whenever a new killer comes out we play on KYF to figure out a counter in a chase but we gave up on this killer because there is no counter.

    That means that if he finds you, you are dead.

    I dont think this is how the game is supposed to be because if It was there wouldnt be pallets, windows or any of that.

  • @MhhBurgers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362594#Comment_362594

    What is it with survivors thinking they should be able to 1v1 a killer in a 1v4 game, I don't get this.

    @MhhBurgers

    Nobody is talking about 1v1 the killer, that's not possible, you cant do gens and distract the killer at the same time.

    We are talking about how it's impossible to defend against him. When you play against him is like running on straight line because there is no virtual counter to his power, that's the problem here.

  • @Orion

    If you go from one pallet to the other and treat structures as individual loops you wont made It out alive if the killer doesnt want to, that's not my case. Also remember that other 3 people are working on gens.

    Looping is not about circling the same pallet over and over again, it's about knowing how to efficiently play ussing windows and pallets, I've run M1 killers for the entire match so yh, it's possible to hold of a killer for that time if you are good enough.

    @MhhBurgers

    Maybe, but it will be because they perform a good mind-game or because the survivor f*cked up, not because their power allows them to completely ignore any defense (which is Legion's case). And no, Nurse is not like Legion, she can be mind-gamed thanks to walls, why you think Lery's Memorial is such trash map for her?

    Also, Im still waiting for someone to tell me how to counter Legion, if nobody is gonna give a good reason it's because he is just broken.

    Nurse: Walls

    Clown: Throw pallet early until he runs out of bottles and gain distance when he starts reloading.

    Hag: Use Flashlight or activate her traps at the very limit of their range.

    Wraith: Windows or camp pallet.

    Billy: Just loop, nothing to worry about.

    Pig: Just loop, if she crouches abandon the loop.

    Legion: ..........?

  • Use Distortion or hide inside lockers, problem solved.

  • @Orion

    What other purpose does Third Seal serve? I mean... Survivors get notificated when you hook one of them...

  • @Shad03

    Dont get me wrong, I also like Legion but he just doesnt care about the game's rules and that's a problem.

    At least Nurse suffers from fatigue when she fails her swing, but making Legion stop his entire power when he misses would make him even worse than what he is now.

  • @Orion yh It would be nice, but once again Knock Out is better because you dont need to hit them

  • @George_Soros said:

    @tt_ivi_99

    Split. Run. Break line of sight while he's in FF. And genrush.

    You're welcome. Don't trouble yourself explaining why these don't work. These DO work. That is not equal to saying these ALWAYS work, they can be difficult of course. But that's the point: difficult is good, easy is bad.

    @George_Soros

    Nono, Im not talking about how to beat him, Im talking about how to not get down by him, which is something you can do against any other killer. Start.

  • @George_Soros said:

    The "fun" in any game is to think, observe, adapt, try to figure out your opponent's playstyle and tricks and come up with ways to counter them. That's why I loath the meta, not only "meta" perks, but there is a kind of "meta survivor gamestyle"'.

    That's what people refuse to adjust when facing a killer who is much different than the others. And that's exactly why complaints about Legion being unfun to play against can be safely ignored.

    @George_Soros

    Right, tell me how to counter Legion. I'll give you a reason why any of those ideas will never work.

  • Are you a magician as well? They can crawl you know... ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • It would be just like ruin, It would get destroyed at the first 30 seconds of the match.

    I like how it is now because survivors dont expect it and dont start searching for it until they are blind-injured. If they started the match blind they would search for the totem and you wouldnt have any preassure on them.

    I like to use Knock Out instead because 16m is practically nothing.

  • 1: Why does everyone think that he should lose his power when he misses an attack? Just because Tru3 said that it doesnt mean it's right. His power is meant to hit a survivor and go for multiple other, this change would take away that because you'd have to be more careful, therefore lose time while other survivors run away from you. This would take away the only fun aspect of this killer. Also, why should he be able to reset his power duration if he hits an injured survivor? You just made It worse for survivors to defend themselves, even if he wipes his weapon he would catch up in no time.

    2: I like the idea of not being a bleedout timer, but survivors wont heal anyway if that's the case, unless he has 115% movement speed.

    3: That's already in the game.

    There is a simple way to fix this character, for the love of god give him 115% movement speed and make his power non-lethal, that's it. Even if he ends up being top tier killer fue to his new speed (which is not a problem, I dont see why devs dont want to give us a Billy Tier killer) I dont care, at least he wont be getting downs for free.

  • @thesuicidefox

    Really? I just tried this build on the ptb with a friend that plays PC amd we only tried with the Nurse, sucks to find Out It doesnt work with Billy :'(

  • @HazeHound

    Sometimes I just want to create salt, that's why ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Also, saying the perk work work because of it's range is kinda dumb, BBQ works perfectly and it has 40m as well...

  • @ClogWench

    Yh I thought about Third Seal but totems suck so... I'll keep Knock Out :)

  • @Hoodedfengm1n

    I've played this character since It was released and I also have played against him.

    Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game but she still has a virtual counter, walls, you have to break line of sight. Legion doesnt have any virtual way to counter him.

    What you said about tte "helicopter", that's just an awful player, just like weak Nurses missing a hit because of a 360, still no virtual counter play.

    I dont know what you mean about those "Legions Home".

    If they are loops: You want me to stay out of the only defense survivors have against a killer? If I run in straight line they'll get me too soon.

    If they are not loops: Why would I go to a loop? They can just jump over anything they like.

    Also, I dont see a problem with him being a high tier killer, I just want a freaking virtual counter to him.

  • I posted this on another thread but it belongs here as well.

    Let me ask you a question: How would you feel if there was a survivor that can throw the same "super save" pallet over and over again everytime it's destroyed? There is no counter to that, right? Legion is the same.

    You jump a window? He jumps as well.

    You throw a pallet? He jumps over it too.

    You 360 him? He has no cooldown.

    You try to play ninja? He finds you anyway.

    All of this was made so that he could stab one person and go after many others without having any problem, that's fine. But his power can down you, therefore It can be abused. It's not like Nurse because Nurse can be juked and mindgamed, unlike Legion.

    In my oppinion he shouldnt be able to down people with his power and he should have 115% movement speed, that's all he needs to be balanced.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle

    People can discuss whatever they want as long as it doesnt break the rules of this forum. I dont see how that's related to my question tho.

  • Why not focus on fixing the entire character instead of changing his add-ons?

  • A fly-swatter so I can hit and down any survivor that tries to farm my ass

  • I mean... Who cant get a 3-4k when facing potatoes in rank 1 who belong to rank 10?

    Go face a good team of solo survivors that actually belong to rank 1 and tell me how you get your 3-4k as Freddy or Legion.

  • That map is strong for killers due to it's weird distribution of pallets. I suggest you learn the infinite loops it has because they are pretty strong tbh.

  • If rank system was based on hours played this would not happen.

  • Freddy's strenght comes from his Dream Transition.

    Whenever you dream a survivor you have to start counting to 7 after Freddy closes his fist.

    After 3 seconds you become visible for 2 seconds, then you become invisible for 2 seconds, that means you have around 2 seconds to change directions and hit the survivor from another spot.

    I suggest you check this video for the exact numbers and more tips:

    https://youtu.be/0rTtr7pUe-Q

  • Nobody seems to like the new rank system so I guess it wont make it beyond the PTB.

    You have nothing to worry about

  • Just like in any other game most people will get mad and blame you for their loss calling you cheater, or blaming your internet or any other excuse to not put the blame on themselves...

    If it happens to me I just think "yh you got my ass but thanks to me you wont get a 3-4k" and I dont even get mad at it :)

  • Not gonna play solo again until rank system is fixed.
