Only seems fair, given how outrageously unfun being tunneled is.

    Yep ur completly right

  • @SilentSpectre said:

And this is coming from a killer main. Killers that choose to tunnel should be punished, not just mildly inconvenienced.

Other suggestion: using decisive should heal the stunner to healthy, instead of staying injured.

Do you guys encounter pseudo-grabs? Like when you grab someone, the animation starts and then the survivor just stands up and leaves? It happens way too often. Do survivors have a time window where they can cancel your grab mid-animation or is it just an unwanted issue of the game?

It's been like that for more than a year

so many people consider people who tbag and click as toxic survivors but personally i dont see it as toxic

i see tbagging as teasing or celebrating because they did something in their favor

and clicking as "hey chase me" its the funnest part of the game but just ignore them, like they didnt win because they were toxic they won because you threw the game chasing one guy

but what i consider toxic is actual genrushing not oh i chased one guy for 3 minutes and 3 gens popped im talking 4 bnp prove thyself ect which rarely happens

95% of the time i see someone say toxic survivors or omg swf OP its because they played bad but thats ok everybody has bad games

Everyone goes through a toxic stage believe it or not. You'll be toxic soon enough

I think this question is best asked in these forums. Assymetrical multiplayer is a tough genre to nail in the world of game design, and it's nigh impossible to satisfy everyone. But, as DbD is the current best in the genre and since we're all dedicated players, what are some dos and don't a game of its like should have? (One or two of each will do.)

    Gens before friends

  • @AVoiceOfReason said:

Can't prove it but a survivor on the hook saw some weird ######### that I saw. So this Jill was standing still near a gen and when I came close, she started like moving left and right like STUPID FAST then just went poof. Had a hitbox, missed it and heard her flick her flashlight a few steps away and the survivor on the hook said she looked like she teleported to another gen. I didn't record because I just wanted a chill match. I ended up killing her and 3 others but it was very fishy. I've seen hackers go invisible before but never seen someone shake like that while doing so. Might be a bug? Not sure. Just wanted to hear what you guys think. Nothing weird happened after that.

I think it could be lagswitching I just faced a lag switcher myself

I read this foolish argument from killer mains again and again on this forum. They try to justify the broken solo vs Killer balance, which is in favor of killers now. Their logic is childish, they are afraid of DEVs boffung soloQ and that they will have less 4k games, so they say it's not a matter of balance, survivors are just bad blah blah.

By that logic all solo players are bad, killers are mediocre and all SWF players are just god-like. So, why do you complain about SWF then? You are just bad, SWF players are just much more skilled. And as soon as a solo survivor starts playing SWF, he suddenly becomes god-like. That simple. Nice perverted logic right?

I remember the days when it was vice-versa, escape rate in soloQ was around 60-70%. After all nerfs, it is around 30% now, so it seems killers were just bad those days and suddenly became smart and all solo survivors became bad.

Killer logic, or the lack of hereof, is so hilarious sometimes.

I've never heard of a killer complain about solo survivor

The prestige grind for special skin should stay.

The grind for getting all perks should be drastically reduced however. It is not really fun thing to not be able to play with the perk build you want. And it is even less fun when you realize that unless you play insane amounts of time you won't even get there. Why the hell should then someone buy DLCs if maxing out the base game already takes a lot of time? Therefore at least perk tiers should be removed. Or maybe even perks should be available immediately without the need to buy them in bloodweb:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258516/eliminate-the-grind-by-making-the-perks-immediately-available

It's the thrill of maybe getting ds or maybe getting head on and stuff like that. It's a hard grind and I believe it's fine. I get what your saying but to unlock all the perks and have them on a character should take hours and eventully when you get that build you oh so wanted your absolutly hyped. Its an input output situation

  • @Prop4FORDAYZ said:

This idea just came into my head randomly at night, and it's a really basic idea, but it would also heavily reduce the grind in the bloodweb, as well as give an incentive to prestige killers and survivors more.

Basicially for each prestige, it would be at which perk tier you start with. Prestige 1, tier 1 - 3, prestige 2, tier 2 - 3, prestige 3, tier 3. This would give an incentive to prestige your characters, as well as reduce the grind. you still are able to get the higher tier perks at lower prestige, but you START at the lower tier first. It would be like how it is now, but you'll just be starting at that tier, but you can still tier up. Prestiging is just so you don't have to start at the lower tier first.

Here's the video explaining it a bit more:

    https://youtu.be/WcGMRODLRAA

If you like the idea, let me know. If there's ways to improve it, put it in the comments!

I dont understand what's so wrong with bloodweb grind. It makes you want to play the game more and it's a good challenge. Personally I think bloodpoint and th e bloodweb are perfect how they are, and I dont believe the devs would change it because so many people already commit to the grind and if they make it ez people will have p3 characters too ez and then they will stop playing because th are is nothing more to accomplish

Just had ANOTHER match where someone playing the cannibal was basically given a free win because they were able to press a single button on their controller. This is why I will NEVER and I mean NEVER go for end game saves ever again when playing against this killer. I had the door open, 2 survivors on their 2nd hook. I step out of the exit gate to try to see if I could possibly make a save. One of them ran out of time and just as I was about to go for the other the cannibal shows up. I am literally only a few feet outside of the opened exit gate and just as I turned around to try to run out they made it to the exit gate as I did (because terror radiuses in this game will never make sense to me) and simply pressed ONE BUTTON that requires absolutely no other conditions to grant an instant down and down me right at the very end of the exit gate. I get picked up, thrown on the hook and just to be toxic the killer decides to hit me on the hook. When things like this happen in DBD I cannot tell you how much I just don't want to play the game. Killers that have this much power in a match that require no other conditions but to press a single button simply make the game completely unenjoyable to play. Until this killer's power is nerfed into something fair I will not be making anymore save attempts with this killer on the map. As much as I want to, and I always try to, I simply find making those save attempts against a killer with this much power is not worth the effort. This killer is rewarded with far too much for doing very little.

The cannibal's power needs to be changed. The instant down effect it has needs to go. Replace it with the broken status effect or something. ANYTHING but an instant down. There are just too many situations where this killer is overly rewarded for very little effort. I never have fun playing against the cannibal. Seeing this killer in a match immediately makes me want to give up and not even try. I don't want to have these kind of experiences in DBD. I want to have fun and playing against this killer is not fun for me at all.

U totally just got destroyed by a bubba. Bubba is balanced hes fine and I hope nothing changes about him his gen pressure is also pretty bad

  • @lr01 said:

That may be, but i still think that gen speeds are too fast. maybe a combination of the two would fix the issue.

Ik what can help. What if each survivor spawned in all the 4 corners of the map. And the killer spawned in the middle. That wouldn't be that bad honestly and it would give killer time to find and hook 1 person

Something being "rare" does not mean it cannot be nerfed.

You notice that I wrote "rare" - because the Iridescent Mori was actually the most common Mori since there were only 3 Iridescent Items for Killers to get in the Bloodwebs. And for those, who did not even have Iridescent Add Ons (or only one of them), a Ebony Mori was even more common.

I'm not talking about rarity tho. I'm just saying how all iri things are supposed to make your chances at winning much much better.

Just because something is of a high rarity, doesn't justify said thing being absolutely game-breaking. Besides, the Devs said in the anniversary stream that Moris are going to be reworked again to incorporate them into regular gameplay instead of being an offering.

Oh yeah I heard about that

  • @jester20k said:

They were iridescent so they didn't need a nerf? What a ridiculous argument.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

First it’s relevant I start with what’s best about Visionary & Open Handed, as like Bond the best and most frustrating thing is often one and the same thing.

I can go to the most central part of the map, to start working on the most central gen there is, pan my camera and pretty much see every other single gen from that point, except when on the largest maps if they’ve spawned gens in the absolute furthest corners. This includes spotting any obvious 3 gen or 4 gen placement that will be really strong for the killer if they’re not dealt with before late game, and so in those instances leave the central gen to go work on one of those instead.

Knowledge like this in solo queue is AMAZING. That is of course if I actually get the opportunity to do something about it instead of bad luck, and constantly chased by the killer. Or in the case of my last match against Nemesis, constantly harassed by Zombies near any of these gens it’s vital to repair ASAP.

So I was on Blood Lodge. Nemesis is on me straight away because of Lethal Pursuer. Luckily I was near shack, and being the beginning Nemesis is still in T1. For some reason he turns his attention to someone else so I make my way to the centre of the map. I jump on a gen then I could immediately see this very concerning, strong 4 gen set up around (and including) the lodge. A hill in front of the lodge, and 2 double T wall loops almost immediately either side of the lodge. I knew how important it was to get rid of the gen at the hill and the lodge ASAP.

Of course this is where the Zombies decide to patrol, so attempts to get this done was a nightmare. To make matters worse if I wasn’t in a chase with Nemesis (which was a lot), 1 of the other 3 survivors kept leading their chases to the area, eventually going down, and Nemesis is using pop on one of the gens I keep trying to get finished. Outside of a chase I’m just spinning my wheels.

And THEN, with how often if end up in a chase I just kept getting this growing sense of impending doom. Gen pops. Nope, not one of the strong 4 gens. Another pops. Nope, still not one of those 4, despite leading Nemesis as far away as possible so one of them can be safely repaired.

Finally the hill gen pops while I’m chased. Hooray. 2 repairs left: the 3 gens in/near the lodge, and 1 at the absolute furthest distance possible from there within the map. I’m still being chased at this point. I’m at 1 hook, a Nea is dead, and Kate & Jeff are on death hook.

I lead Nemesis as far away from the lodge as possible, hoping and praying that one the lodge gens pop. Nope. Jeff buggers us all by popping the furthest gen. I get hooked, Nemesis chases Jeff, Kate saves me, we rush to try and finish the last gen. Jeff leads Nemesis back to the gens AGAIN!!! And there are STILL Zombies to contend with every time we’re trying to repair. Not exclusive/relevant to strictly Visionary, but I passionately HATE when a survivor keeps the killer at a 3 gen set up. It’s infuriating when others don’t try to lead the killer as far away as possible when we’re 3 gen’d.

Anyway, there was absolutely no winning at that point. Jeff eventually dies, Nemesis quickly turned his attention to Kate on an entirely different gen than I was on, knew she was going to get downed and hooked well before I could finish my repair. I knew where the hatch was and waited because really what else could I do at that point.

Despite my best, hardest efforts, and knowing EXACTLY what needed to be done in order to help the team best, yet being in circumstances that prevented me from completing that critical goal, the hatch becomes vital.

There needs to be that slight sliver of hope of escape for solos, because solos being in these circumstances because of the OTHER survivors happens very frequently.

So your saying those 2 perks are worth taking in the game if you wanna work on pipping solo Q. (I'm not I'm just wondering if its worth bringing instead of other great perks)

  • @BabyCameron10 said:

It’s not that hard to fix. I have found that as a solo player, kindred has helped me and my teammates out a lot. I was wondering if they could make Kindred base kit, minus the killer aura reading and give the killer aura reading over to Camaraderie. See killers aura, and you instantly know that the person on hook has Camaraderie and you buy more time to make a save.

I don’t think I have seen anyone use Camaraderie except for Steve achievement and competitive play.

Camaraderie is my main perk but ofc only in swf. It's very strong when ur playing on mic with people

No but one bad dbd game can sour the mood very fast. Its up there with league when it comes to a loss just being so much more frustrating then any other game at least for me and my friend's. Especially when a solo does something so dumb it gets us all killed. At least with pings there will be less incidents of randos screwing over 3 stacks or 2 stacks.

Well solo q is only bad when ur good but in low ranks. (So say your skill is rank 6 but your in rank 15 or somethin.) The higher the ranks the less people are dumb.

'Even though I'm wounded... I still keep going for freedom!'

Trivia: The 'heavily injured' state used the old movement animations of Stumbling while injured before the 4th Realm Beyond

Update. The proof that these movement animations was recycled to the game was unknown to the developers.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Connector: You have a special device to take spare rounds to complete two goals at the same time.

    - The the first generator you repaired was at 50/40/30% of it's progression, Connector activates.

    - Press this perk ability button will install a wire box and the generator's aura you repair will be revealed to all

    survivors.

    - Connector will repair the generator by itself by 45/50/55% of its speed for 60 seconds before is breaks and becomes unusable.

    - Connector can be only used on one generator at a time.

    - When the killer damages the generator, Connector will be destroyed and the effect was lost.

'I'll take the other one while a machine can do the uncompleted to be finished.'

Trivia: This perk was capable at countering Hex:Ruin, Gearhead and Oppression.

The only weaknesses on this perk was: Eruption, Pop goes the weasel and Surge because these perks can make generators explode.

Connector processing will inturupt and pause when Trilling Tremors, Dead Man's Switch, and Corrupt Intervention was active.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Power Throw: Activate-able perk.

    - Standing within the killer terror radius while not in a chase for 35/30/25 seconds, Power Throw activates.

    - Once Power Throw is activated, stay motionless while crouching for 3 seconds to pick up a rock. Pressing the ability button

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Critical Strength: Your fast reflexes and your strong muscles will take out your fastest opponent at any way.

Pulling pallets are 25/30/35% faster and stun recovery time by killers was increased by 15/20/25%.

'Hope that this will give me time to get away.'

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heavy Curl: Your monstrous strength will be quick enough to get away from the struggle.

Wiggling speed was increased by 15% and the killer's movement speed was decreased by 9/13/17% when carrying you while

    the wiggling took its' effect.

'I remember the days that the kidnapper who carried me when I was young.... but not anymore.'

Trivia: The killer can be only slowed down when it was seen strafting sideways uncontrollingly while carrying a

    wriggling survivor.

-Heavy Curl and Boil Over have good combinations to slow down killers and has troubles on hook distances.

-Heavy Curl will prevent the killer's speed boost using Agitation.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kickin' it: A kick to the face to prevent captivity on the chaser.

While preforming a Vaulting action on a pallet or a window when grabbed, Kickin' it activates.

-Kicks at the killer's face and stuns it for 4 seconds, and gain a 7% haste status effect for 10 seconds.

Kickin' it has a cooldown for 70/60/50 seconds.

    'Stop grabbing me, you creep!'

Trivia: Counters stealth killers such as The Shape, The Pig, and Ghostface since they have undetectable abilities.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Salty Flesh: The Salt around you keeps the entity from speeding their own summoning.

When being hooked for the first time, Hook progression was slowed down by 12/15/18% and slows down the entity summoning

before it reaches to 50% of its progression.

After you unhook yourself you a survivor unhooks you for the first time, Salty Flesh becomes active.

The second time you were hooked by the killer, Salty Flesh Activates and the Hook progression will return back to the first

    time you were hooked.

Salty Flesh can be only used once per trial.

'Well, these giant bugs surely don't like salty charms.'

Trivia: If Salty flesh was combined with Camaraderie, this will stall some time for camping killers so that the other 2

survivors could work on generators if they were faster enough.

Salty Flesh was nearly a fact that they were somehow related to the Salt used offerings (Like salt pouches and Salt Jars.)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Items

    ---------

    Stun Guns

The Stun Gun was an item used to stun killers by shooting them.

The Stun Gun Range was 12 metres by default.

The Stun duration lasts for 4 seconds by default.

The Stun gun only uses one shot before it depletes and becomes unusable.

    1. Stun Gun (Item) (Uncommon)

    2. Electrowire gun (Rare)

    3. Electroplasma pistol (Very Rare)

Are your perks are kinda op but very nice ideas

  • @diddlydaddlydoodly said:

    Height: Average

    Speed: 115%

    Terror Radius: 25m

    Weapon: Lead Pipe

    Main Power: Time to Strike

You stalk survivors to fill up a tac-bar. When the tac bar is full, The Obsessor gains a 50% speed boost that ends after 60 seconds or if the obsession is downed, you also have the ability to crouch, the crouch minimizes your terror radius to nothing but you can only stalk while crouched.

    Secondary Power: Stalking Measures

The Obsessor can hide in lockers, when a survivor opens that locker or if the Obsessor opens the locker on a survivor nearby he can grab them, they are put in the dying state. While in a locker, the Obsessor has no terror radius. The Obssor can also hide under fallen pallets, again with no terror radius, he can grab survivor by the feet when the walk by, this puts them into the dying state.

    Perks:

    1. What fun! (You move 6%/7%/8% faster when chasing the obsession)
    2. Hex: Follower (When you press the ability button on the obsession scratch marks their aura is revealed for 3/4/5 seconds)
    3. My Precious (When the obsession is unhooked, the rescuer's aura is revealed for 2/3/4 seconds, they also suffer the exhausted status effect.)

The first perk is way too good. I like the idea but the main power seems strange and I'm not sure how itll work in game.
