You're not wrong, you obviously don't need DH to win, but given the fact that it can end up deciding the outcome of the match, it has great significance in whether you use it right or not.
Reason being because when you're a survivor, to stay alive you and your team are going to need to know how to loop otherwise the game will be over before it even started. DH is an essential perk for most when looping due to the fact that it can turn an ended chase into potentially making it to another pallet. Saying that DH is lesser than a killers power doesn't make sense because DH is used in looping, and looping is basically a survivors "power" to winning the game.
I respectfully disagree with your statement of "Saying that DH is lesser than a killers power doesn't make sense because DH is used in looping, and looping is basically a survivors "power" to winning the game." Yes I agree with looping part, atleast 1 person gotta know how to waste killer time in chase, but I don't undersyand the DH being more than a killers power part. If a survivor ran overzealous or prove thyself and hopped on a gen are those perks better than the killers power because they are doing what you need to do to win (gens)? I don't understand that specific point you are making, I may be reading it wrong, but a killers power is way more important than any survivor perk including dh

From my knowledge they will still be a thing and earned by prestiging

I have a MAJOR attachment to Anna (Huntress) for multiple reason. Major reasons being her lore, the fact that she was my first ever Killer I gravitated towards and mained, and the BIGGEST reason (this may be a little off) but I have really overwhelming anxiety in real life that seems to elevate when I play Killer. I’ve discovered that playing Anna while listening to her hum her lullaby and even humming with her while playing can soothe the hell out of how anxious I get on the game when I decide to play Killer. I even find myself humming it in real-life randomly.
I look forward to reading your replies!

Except it can be game changing. A DH could mean the difference between getting downed instantly or extending the chase so much so that the killer loses the game.
If all 4 survivors don't know how to use their DH correctly then chances are they're going to drop like flies as would a killer if they were bad at said killer. However, I see both bad killers and survivors that end up winning all the time. This isn't always the outcome but you can't act like it's not a possibility. Simple as that.
I see your point here, it is deffinatly a possibility, but you can still be bad with a perk (DH) and still be in an okay spot within the match. Is not like you NEED dead hard to win, but you need to know how to play nurse to win. A perk has much less significance in a match then if someone knows how to use a killers base power efficiently.
Another point I would like to make is that dead hard is easy to learn and good players or bad players can figure out how to use it efficiently within days. Nurse is a differnt story. When a good killer main switches to nurse (they don't play nurse that much) they will not be good and it will take hundreds of hours to master her. Same as bad player's but worse. Bad players at killer will have an even harder time cause they arnt very good at the base killer game and they arnt good at nurse, so it's double trouble for them.
It's just so hard to compare a perk to a killer because killers have way more mechanics and strategy then 1 singular perk.
Simple as that.

They can definitely be compared due to the fact that they're both considered unbalanced and players being bad with it doesn't mean it's balanced. Simple as that.
But a survivor being bad with dead hard isn't game changing. They dh into a wall. Ok? They get hooked. A player being bad at nurse decides the game already. It's gonna be a 3 of 4 man escape when you play against a bad nurse everytime. A bad dh dosnt determine the outcome of a game, a bad nurse does. Simple as that.

1: 50/ 50 where either the killer can stomp you if they are decent or not if they are not good at nurse------> that doesnt mean the killer is balanced dude you are just saying that people needs to be bad at nurse to her to be balanced? NO
2: "You don't really go against nurses even in high MMR" i go against 1 nurse every 5 games or 2 ...soo this is weird , but same argument you are telling that because console players cant use the max amount of value from this killer makes Nurse balanced? NO
3. You get destroyed by a bully squad? Go to nurse and beat some ass.-------->TRUE BUT you know not everyone is a bully squad in the first place😐️
*Nurse makes bully squad balanced in a bad way (BS POWER vs BS PERKS / GEN SPEEDS ETC) really disgusting matches.
*Nurse however makes solo Q insanely miserable because of the lack of comunication and overal not good teammates and because her power basically ignores looping you just destroy survivor quite easily.
NOTE: stop saying the "be unpredictable" argument thats just not work against a decent nurse and saying that Nurse is fine just because people dont know how to play her is not a argument.
Ok so why is huntress fine at her current state? She has limitless range and the best exposed addon I the game. How is that fine? It's fine because 50% of huntress players are good and 50% are babies. and console players are discouraged and are bad at huntress when they play her. It's ether a baby huntress or a literal COD aimbot crazy godly huntress. This is the reason she hasn't been messed with since the iri head nerf, cause people go against baby huntresses ALOT, cause huntress is def played alot amongst killer and she's a hard killer to master (don't lie, she is hard to master),
Huntress has simply not been messed with because the unpredictable of players skill with her.

Just be glad you never played when there was a 3B nurse if you had youd realize how fine she is atm. She takes a lot of work to master and you might not know this but there are objects and places she cant blink through or if she tries she will commit to a faulty location by mistake.
I played against her when she had 7 blinks back when she was released lmao

How is that a bad comparison? A successful DH obviously takes a bit more skill than hitting a skill check, and saying said perk is balanced because some players are noob mcnoobs with it doesn't mean it's not unbalanced, as with Nurse.
Lower her skillcap and nerf something in return. Maybe make her addon Plaid Flannel basekit with a downside, anything really.
You are comparing a perk with a killer... they cannot be compared based on skill because they both are 2 completly separate skill topics

2. Extend the Blood warden timer to 160 Secons
3. Token system
Every attack hit made in the endgame collapse cause the entity to block the gates for an extra 5 seconds ( up to 5 tokens)
Tokens grant a 1%hinder status
That's way too crazy ngl. I mean think about the endgame timer too. Bloodwarden is fine how it is but isn't it one of the 39 perks or am I wrong

Let me know what you think who likes what!I'm trying to come up with ideas myself!

I figured I would return for the event, but in the first three matches not only did I not find a single invitation, but the rubber banding was really annoying (more so than ever before). I'm definitely looking forward to what's on the horizon, but I may have to keep the break going until the perks have been changed and the prestige and grind have been reduced. Personally I'm looking forward to the bots more than anything, but that won't come until the end of the year.
Too bad none of these changes could have been live for the event.

You’re correct. Behaviour will never touch swf. Too much money is involved and it would basically be suicide to mess with it.
It’s not too much of a problem as long as they leave Nurse and Blight alone for killer mains to fall back on in order to stand a chance. They just need to make sure MMR keeps the top sweaty players in their own pool and not have top tier nurses obliterate potatoes like me or sweaty swfs bully mediocre killer players.
Unfortunately, the current matchmaking still needs work. It’ll probably be better in six more years.
Eh more like 7

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/328865/swf-will-never-be-nerfed-or-removed
SWF isn't a problem. People just lobby shopped previously.
The problem is that the system doesn't account for SWF. Other companies had premades get an inflated MMR proportional to the size of the party, which paired them with more dangerous opponents to compensate.
DbD has no such system, if you group with your friends, you're facing the same killer you'd face solo, but with the additional benefit of coordination. Then you end up with an inflated MMR, get pantsed when you play solo again and come to the forums to complain about how OP killers are.
You have 3 sides to balance. This means that balance is even more impossible. For killers to stand a chance against coordinated groups, they need to be strong enough to melt solo players. If killers were nerfed to be more manageable for solos, then they'd get stomped by premades.
I'm a fan of the MMR option, but...
The devs seem to want a different route - trying to buff solo queue to the level of SWF, and then buffing killers to compensate. It's going to be a...wild ride.
Then SWF isn't the issue, but MMR is.
-
@Lucario576 said:
If they can put Solo Q on par with SWF then they can buff or nerf killers and survivors accordingly
That's too much work for BHVR- not just shitting on BHVR but that would be a project that would take a year if not more, I don't think BHVR or anyone would be willing to do that (it would obv sacrifice alot of other content.)

So I think Corrective Action should be reworked because it's an extremely bad perk
I have an idea that would make it better.
Corrective Action.
You quickly analyse problems and correct others' work when they make a mistake
You start the trial with a maximum of 6/8/10 tokens.
Whenever another survivor compleats a good skill check a token is consumed and the good skill check becomes a great skill check.
Whenever another survivor fails a skillcheck a token is consumed and that skillcheck becomes a good skillcheck
When you successfully hit a great skillchecks you gain 1 token.
Corrective action only applies to normal skillchecks
I think this would honestly make the perk great since it helps support the team better then it is currently, it's reliant on rng making it balanced, and it removes the cooperation requirement which imo was holding it back.
What do you think about this change. Would it be too strong or what?
I think it should apply to every generator and every person working on a gen, not just the person working on it with you.

I just don't understand it. I am not a programmer or game Designer but...a company as big as Bhvr shouldn't have problems to hire enough people who can promgrame it.
So many other games have a crossprogression with a inbuild account system in there games. The thing is there is a Bhvr account for the crossprogression between stadia and steam (and the switch version in the next 20+ years).
Okay maybe the companies like Microsoft or Sony say they don't want a crossprogression because they would lose money...but...there is a really really simple solution. Just lock the paid content between the different Systems.
Just make it that If I bought Pig on Playstation I can't play with her on Xbox without buying her on that Plattform again. The Level of the killer and there inventory would be shared over the plattforms but not the characters.
And there are many other options and ideas like this...but slowly I feel like they just don't want to do it. We are waiting since over a year for the switch crossprogression so I think they have massive Problems figuring the System out with there Spaghetti Code.
The devs would loose money if so many accounts got free dlcs cross progressed

By far, he's worse than Myers in high MMR In my opinion. He's also the worst version of the Twins. He gets countered by pairing up. He won't get a down if someone is nearby the trapped survivor. Unless he's right next to them, it only takes 1.5 seconds to rescue someone from a bear trap, and once your bear trap has been called out, it won't be as useful. Not to mention, he lacks chase potential on huge maps.
What he needs is either automatic traps or stealth. Make the trap open automatically when he's nearby, or reduce his terror radius and make the traps harder to see.
Just add a layer of deception to his kit, and he'll be as popular as the dredge.
So maybe make his traps like Freddie's snares? Where you just throw them down on the floor and the auto set?

I like how you felt like Agitation needed a whole overhaul like you've never tried just using the perk with Starstruck. Even without it, Agitation is an all-around B-tier perk for saving time, getting hits on survivors who don't expect it, and partially countering sabotage plays. but
"Unnerving Presence is actually a decent perk"
I'd like it if Unnerving Presence caused continuous skill checks like Merciless Storm or yellow glyphs, inflicting 3-5% instant regression and going on cooldown when any affected survivor failed an Unnerving skill check. Even without the extra regression, it'd be interesting due to how much attention survivors are forced to pay to it if they want to repair at all within terror radius. However, the unfortunate problem with any skill check perk is they're always going to be either too strong on Doc or too weak on every other killer to be used because only Doctor makes skill checks harder with just his base kit.
Unnerving Presence= Old ruin- whenever you are in terror radious the old ruin effect activates. Imagine.

@Witchubtet said:
I love our boy. He is simple and easy to understand. However, that also means he is in need of some TLC and QOL changes.
I know they have done this before but he still doesn’t stack up to other killers. Let’s talk about his perks first.
Brutal Strength: 20% increased break speed.
Agitation: Movement speed is increased by 10% while transferring bodies and terror radius is increased by 16 meters
Unnerving Presence: 15% skill check chance while in the killers Terror Radius and success zones decreased by 75%
Compared to more modern perks these are just laughable and almost feel like universal perks. This is how I would change them.
Brutal Strength would be increased to 30%/40%/50%. Making him harder to flashlight but also allowing him to open the breakable doors with ease.
Agitation needs a whole overhaul and I believe I know what to do. If we change it to a Scourge Hook perk with this type of effect it could be a huge boon to him: “Four scourge hooks will spawn throughout the map, If a survivor is put on a scourge hook you gain a token. For each token your movement speed while carrying a survivor is increased by. 3%/4%/5%. Caps at 3. Upon getting three tokens you gain the ability to completely reset the next generator you hit. All tokens shall be used and you’ll have 0”
Unnerving Presence is actually a decent perk, but I feel like it can get a little buff by making the 15% just be automatically 100% with a 60/45/30 second cooldown.
Now his add-one are great, but I feel like he needs a passive or a secondary ability. I’m not fully sure on what however. Without making him over powered.
What do you guys think?
Make it where there are no traps on the ground when the game begins. Make it where he holds every trap from the beginning and make the bag addons increase the total traps. (You don't have to spend time picking up traps at the start of the trial).
Brutal- Same 20% pallet breaking, but 50% breakable wall at any tier.
Agitation is Fine
Unnerving Presence- Constant Skillchecks while in terror radios (100%), zone decreased by 75%, no Great skillchecks.
Also this may be a little too much, but Make it only a 5% chance for someone to escape a trap each time they attempt.
-

-Lisa's grandmother: the grandmother of lisa who warned her not to play with dangerous magic. she seems really cool and i would love to play as her

I really miss how the survivors used to run, and would look left and right, actually scared. It felt so fluent. Now it's just so stiff and compact, I hate it! Seeing Netease DBD, they kept the old animations and it's beautiful. I wish there was a way to be able to use them again! Or somehow make the new animations more lively. The run animation feels more like a stiff jog, than a sprint like the old ones. The character standing there staring into the abyss, instead of turning left and right nervous, that look on the characters. I miss those little details.

The colors and the light were simply much more beautiful.

I complelty agree. Old maps had such a more horror feel than a modern feel. I've played this game since huntress release and it is unfortunate that horror and rustic feel from the maps have turn to more modern and very bright.
There was also a thing called Depth of View- when you looked into the distance it had a blurry effect, making the game much more spooky.

Hey guys, let me get straight to the point. Dead by Daylight is a fun game and it has many iconic killers but there is one thing that really hurts. With so much potential, it still has only one game mode. I like it but it gets boring after just a few rounds. We need something refreshing. So my idea is new game modes. I know that many people already requested it but Behavior still doesn't do anything. So here are some ideas:
1. The most requested one. 2v8, I know it sounds crazy but I would love to play with my friends. When me and my friends play custom games they always kick me out of their discord call because I am playing killer and they have to discuss their tactics but then I am really lonely. So thats why a 2v8 would be really cool, you would have a friend that you could talk to while playing killer and it is also very refreshing from the normal dead by daylight gamemode.
2. Some form of hide and seek would be nice. The last one that lives wins. It would be fun.
3. This idea i got from a youtuber, the map is dark you can't see very far, this gamemode gives another use for the flashlight and also if a generator is repaired, the lamps of it can glow.
4. This is not a gamemode idea but i will still talk about it. More options for custom games. Like everyone is crazy fast or really slow. An option for survivor lives, I mean the survivor has to get hit a specific amount of times to be downed. Another option could be, how many generators need to be repaired before you can open the exit gate. Maybe an option for respawning or for how many perk slots someone could use. A darkness option or a random killer option. Custom games options would be a great addition to the game.
These gamemode just have to be for custom games. I love to play with friends, but dead by daylight has very limited options, you can only play survivor with them and that is it. New gamemodes would bring my old friends back to dead by daylight, because it is refreshing.
There will never be a new game modes. Think how much that will break core mechanics. 2x bigger maps an absolutely HUGE update file and lots of chaos. It's basically like duplicating the game and adding it on to its og form. It's gamebreaking and will most likely be a disaster

Ability and Perks of The Restrict
Power 1 the glimpse of Insanity- The Restrict pulls out the book of Poems and begins to cast a circle surrounding them. This circle reaches up to 5 meters pass your ability maximum radius
Within this survivors inside gain a new debuff Insanity after two seconds inside
survivors caught inside your circle gain a new meter that goes up 5% every 0.5 seconds
This affect does not go through walls and the circle can be refired anytime you want it will disappear if not held
Making your circle reduces your movement speed by 8% when casting but will grant normal speed once circle is fully formed
It takes 6 seconds to full form a circle
Insanity - Upon every unique survivor gaining this affect grants the killer a additional 4 meters to terror radius and special ability terror radius when they Receive the affect Exclusive to The Restrict
When the meter fills to 100% Over Insanity actives and the survivor begin to have back ward controls
Left is right Right is left
Up is down Down is up
Meter decays 10% every 3 second if it does not persist after 40 seconds of not being applied
It can also be lowered if survivor is near another survivor at 5% every second
When survivors heal another survivor or themselves the healing process bar of goes down at the same rate of any increased healing they may have but the they are given skill checks that heal 15% of the heal bar
Survivors repairing gens Will scream occasionally when ever they are working with someone seeing illusion of the Killer instead of a survivor
Survivors will see visions of fake survivors that fake blow up gens.
( shout out to QTASTIC for idea)
Special ability - Channel shackles
Upon 1 survivor reaching full insanity meter from Glimpse of Insanity Channel Shackles becomes available.
Upon using consume all insanity from Survivors and enter The Void
Entity blocks all pallets and gen within your Ability terror radius and increases 4 additional meters for each survivor with insanity
Any survivor that had 50% or more insanity will scream
A fake version of the survivor that has insanity spawns in and runs around scaring survivors.
Fake survivors can be destroyed by interacting with them or blinding or stun.
You can run through them as a form of interacting
This Special power has a 30 second cooldown
Perks of The Restrict
Rituals and slaughters the sacrifices must be made to so what you have to do in the eyes of a demon with 3 perks that makes your life difficult hut make rewards even better Electric Out, Poems of Lies, Body Numbness
30+ Electric Out the feeling of electricity truly Shocks you
Upon entering the trial reduce survivors generator count needed by 1
Upon a gen being completed 1/2/3 gens begin to regress at 25% faster if a survivor is working on a gen they scream instead and suffer a 15 second expose
35+ Poem of Lies Melodies of life and death balance the same
Whenever you sacrifice or kill a survivor gain a token up to 3 for each token survivors have a decreased hook timer by 15/20/25%
Each struggle on a hook reduces next chance by 0.5%
40+ Body Numbness You feel so dull without the one you love.
When ever you injure a survivor Body Numbness activates the survivor who is stuns you will notify you whenever they interact with a gen, vault, player, and or totem cleanse for 1.5/2/2.5 seconds
The survivor can also see you whenever you interact with someone, hit a gen, pallet or wall, Vault
This persist on one survivor at a time for 60 seconds before going deactivating until next use
Add-on Idea for The Restrict
Toy Wand- slightly increase Glimpse of insanity circle charge
Children book- Glimpse of insanity no longer reverts controls regress healing or causes survivors to scream upon working with someone
Gain 100% bloodpoints in deviousness category
Tattered Robe- Increase the rate at which Glimpse of insanity fills insanity meter.
Red Chalk- Increase the special radius by a additional 1 meter per insanity consumed
Ritual knife- Increase insanity fill by 0.4% but circle can only be held for 5 seconds before having to remake it
Power of the killer is super cool. Perks are very weak though. Try not to include debuffs in perks because mostly they are not needed. Just make it where a perk has all benefits and no consequences. For Instance Electric Out is pretty terrible because of 1 gen already being done. That is insane and is helping the survivors more than you. Truly get rid of the debuff and the perk would be fine. Same as the last perk, body numbness. Make it where you only see the survivor and the survivor dosnt see you. Altogether pretty cool

Im starting to worry i dont have time right now to P3 all the characters. So when the new update comes out am i going to lose all my perks on survivor and killer? I bought alot of them from the shrine of secrects do i lose those too?
P3ing everyone takes 1000+ hours lmao. I have 4k hours and still everyone isn't fully p3ed. For new players I would think new prestige system would be more of a grind tbh

so i didnt want to play the match anymore so i went to killer and tried to make him take me to hook again but he left me on floor. no worries there but then my teammates tried to heal me and i didnt want to play so i held shift and the killer got them all basicaly cos they tried to heal me. add bleed out button or make option to insta die on hook please.
People will intentionally bleed out. It will not be fun for the remainder of the game because that's basically like dcing. People will just instantly bleed out if they were the first ones downed
